It was still Happy Hour so my husband and I sat at the bar and got a nice Pinot Noir for $10 a glass. Staff was super friendly. FYI, I did not want my money back we ate the food. But was taken back by the grapes. Went for my surprise bag. Got there around 3:15ish. Girl still setting up. . I told her I was there for the surprise bag. Said she hadn't made any yet. No problem. Well she kept setting up. I just sat at the small sexy bar. Well it took her some time to set up the surprises, I like they don't use styrofoam, who is a nice small paper box Very sad when I got home the grapes look like they had something on them and my husband wiped it. After being approached by the owner, Larissa, regarding my previous issues at Rebel, I truly appreciated how attentive and apologetic she was about my experience. She explained that the day I had visited they had a few hiccups, and to make things right, she invited me and my friends back. I'm glad I accepted, because this time we had a much better experience. We were served by Orin and Marcello, who were both friendly and attentive. Orin, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. We had a few wine flights, which was perfect since they have a nice selection of reds, whites, and rosés. Alongside the wine, we enjoyed a cheese and meats plate that was beautifully put together and very tasty. Their house jam, definitely ask for it if you're a fan, it was delicious! We also tried the burrata fig salad, which leaned on the sweeter side but was still very enjoyable, and a prosciutto panini that complemented everything perfectly. Overall, I'm really glad I gave Rebel another try. The effort Larissa and her team put into turning things around was clear, and I look forward to coming back again in the future. read more

The owner was very accommodating in my selections and online payment was secure and easy. They have happy hour every day and some small tapas and sandwiches. We went on a Friday night at 6pm and got two seats at the bar. There were two servers working. It is a super cute place with tables and a bar with about 8 stools. The happy hour is daily 4-7 PM. Wines are $6/glass. Most bottles were priced $30-40. They have a small food menu of cheese plates. The music isn't loud so it's easy to have a conversation. The servers were knowledgeable and able to make recommendations based on your wine preferences. There is free parking in the attached lot. During September 2024, they are celebrating their 3 year anniversary. From 3:30-4pm daily, they offer free 3 glasses of wine when you order 3 appetizers. read more

We visited Rebel Wine Bar for the first time this evening. The decor was fun, and we really liked the overall vibe--it was busy with a great atmosphere. Our server was friendly and attentive, especially considering they were the only one working both the tables and the bar. We ordered a wine, beer, and the cheese platter. Unfortunately, the platter was a bit of a disappointment. The "aged cheddar" was actually pre-sliced American cheese cut into cubes, and more fruit, as pictured on the menu, would have been nice. This place i had high hopes for. It advertises itself as a Sunday Jazz Brunch. A nice break from other brunches i thought. Online it looks great and has the reviews to convince you. Reservation even requires a credit card. Upon arrival the place was empty, Mila was the only employee onsite to handle the food and drinks. She was great. No bottomless mimosas, the toast on the board was stale, no Jazz music as advertised. A few others arrived with their dogs, who would bark spontaneously. Now im a animal person. From booking the event to getting all the details together, he made me feel very comfortable with choosing this location (despite never having been there). I had tried out the grab bag here which is a mix of all sorts of things, but this time around the person attending me (he was great) gave me what felt like 2lbs+ of food. Some items were hits, others were not so good. I would certainly go back as I know that they have sandwiches and other goodies. Fruit and nut mix was very good. The place is very nicely set up and it looks like a great place just to relax and have a nice upscale drink experience. There should be enough parking here at all times. Purchased a groupon and seemed reasonably close to where we would be staying as well as in the area frequenting other businesses. I'll start off by saying that the ambience is nice as well as the establishment itself. It is located in an odd area kind of like an upscale outdoor strip mall. Groupon was for wine flights for two and you can either have red or white (we chose white due to the heat). All 3 pairings went from somewhat sweet to dry and all very good. We also ordered a charcuterie board (they have a choice between meat and brie or just cheese - we ordered the meat and brie). Charcuterie was just ok as it was too much meat for me so I regret not ordering the cheese board. As for service, it was very good. The server was very nice and took a little time to get to us but that was fine as she was busy with other customers at the wine bar. What appeared to be the owner walked by and greeted us. So why the three stars you ask? Well, it just had an overall pretentious feel by the type of customers that were patronizing this place. Love this little wine bar in downtown OP! I've come to visit Rebel a lot recently and I really love their atmosphere. They have a wide and impressive wine selection but not on the natural wine spectrum which is nice. You can actually find these wines at a regular store. They have live music and events most nights and the vibe is actually really great for an intimate date night or just a hang out with some friends. They have some delicious charcuterie board options as well. They're nestled in the little shops down the way from Funky Buddha and their staff is always super friendly and helpful. I do wish they had the little name cards for the wine flights so I could remember which wine is which. After a few glass things start to get a bit fuzzy. I'm definitely a Rebel Wine Bar stan and always look forward to coming back for a visit. 10/10 recommend! read more
