After being approached by the owner, Larissa, regarding my previous issues at Rebel, I truly appreciated how attentive and apologetic she was about my experience. She explained that the day I had visited they had a few hiccups, and to make things right, she invited me and my friends back. I'm glad I accepted, because this time we had a much better experience. We were served by Orin and Marcello, who were both friendly and attentive. Orin, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. We had a few wine flights, which was perfect since they have a nice selection of reds, whites, and rosés. Alongside the wine, we enjoyed a cheese and meats plate that was beautifully put together and very tasty. Their house jam, definitely ask for it if you're a fan, it was delicious! We also tried the burrata fig salad, which leaned on the sweeter side but was still very enjoyable, and a prosciutto panini that complemented everything perfectly. Overall, I'm really glad I gave Rebel another try. The effort Larissa and her team put into turning things around was clear, and I look forward to coming back again in the future.

Rebel really is a rebel bar. It is off beat like something you would fine in the Village (NYC) but this is Oakland Park. The server staff are very chill you almost feel like you are in someone's private home. There is a nice wine selection and you can order food. Either way this place has a unique vibe in a good way.

Really cute hang out spot. Perfect for girls night out. The bartender was very sweet and she helped us pick out a couple different wines to try. They do have a couple little snack options to have with your drinks.

Small little wine bar in Oakland park. I came on a Monday when they had a speaker. I had a glass of prosecco and the bartender gave me a small charcuterie board with prosciutto, strawberries, and fresh mozzarella. So so good and truly appreciated. Inside is cozy, dim, background music but good for conversation. The food/tapas menu looked really good. I will be coming back with my bestie because she loves wine and this place is truly a wine lovers dream. Parking is free around the establishment.

Decided to try for a Sunday Jazz Brunch. I got there & there was a lovely lady singing Jazz. Her name is Marlo & she is fabulous! I ordered Prosecco because I don't do mimosas but they have unlimited for $20. Also- pre ordered online- lox & toast. It was good- however, my friend had the French Toast & that looked & smelled delicious! This place has a very mellow, relaxed vibe. A small bar with lots of tables. I will definitely come back for brunch & try their other events.

We went on a Friday night at 6pm and got two seats at the bar. There were two servers working. It is a super cute place with tables and a bar with about 8 stools. The happy hour is daily 4-7 PM. Wines are $6/glass. Most bottles were priced $30-40. They have a small food menu of cheese plates. The music isn't loud so it's easy to have a conversation. The servers were knowledgeable and able to make recommendations based on your wine preferences. There is free parking in the attached lot. During September 2024, they are celebrating their 3 year anniversary. From 3:30-4pm daily, they offer free 3 glasses of wine when you order 3 appetizers.

We visited Rebel Wine Bar for the first time this evening. The decor was fun, and we really liked the overall vibe--it was busy with a great atmosphere. Our server was friendly and attentive, especially considering they were the only one working both the tables and the bar. We ordered a wine, beer, and the cheese platter. Unfortunately, the platter was a bit of a disappointment. The "aged cheddar" was actually pre-sliced American cheese cut into cubes, and more fruit, as pictured on the menu, would have been nice. While the service and ambiance were great, the quality and presentation of the food didn't quite meet our expectations.

BEST PLACE EVER! Amazing wine, amazing food, and amazing people! Great happy hour and so many unique events!! Perfect place for socializing and/or doing your own thing! Go once and you'll be hooked!

This bar has a special place in my heart. It's comforting, inviting, and warm. It's more than a wine bar. The locals are amazing and it's very telling of how well this place runs. Great food, awesome wine.

I popped in for a quick stop to pick up some items. I ended up staying a while talking to the host/bar staff. I was so relaxed and felt very comfortable. This place is definitely a vibe. I was told about the many experiences that they host such as Sip and paint, karaoke night, wine tasting, etc. I would love to try those events out, so I'll probably be coming back.

Such a great time here! The atmosphere was cozy and charming, and the staff was super friendly and hospitable. It's a small, intimate spot, which makes it a great place for a relaxed night out. Their happy hour is awesome--$6 glasses of wine from 4-7 PM is hard to beat We made the most of the happy hour deals, and the complimentary snack plate with olives, popcorn, and nuts was a really nice touch. The wines we tried were all delicious. Definitely recommend checking it out!

I came here for happy hour last night with a friend. It was moderately busy, which was great, not crazy loud. They have a great collection of wines, being a wine bar. I tried two wines and decided on the riesling, which was slightly sweet. We enjoyed a cheese board with fresh fruit. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Fantastic place, fantastic owner, fantastic Mead!!!…read more I can't speak highly enough about this very cool place. They make all their own mead and it is all delicious. They owner was out bartender and he was a wealth of information. He was so helpful and friendly helping us make our choices. We tried 12 different flavors and even took a bottle home with us. I finally got the chance to check them out one afternoon when I was in the area. Brewlihan Mead is a 1,700-square-foot mead house and tasting room owned by John and Stacey Hoolihan. John had a background in science education and started out brewing as a hobby. What turned into a passion became a business. Brewlihan Mead is the first commercial meadery in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Mead, sometimes called honey wine is an alcoholic beverage made from three ingredients: fermented honey, water and yeast. It is the first alcoholic beverage consumed by mankind and is believed to predate wine by nearly three thousand years. Since the taste of honey can vary by region, mead can have a diverse and complex flavor profile. To make the mead at Brewlihan, the water, yeast and honey is placed in fermentation tanks with fruit and then aged in oak barrels for 2 to 5 months. You can take your mead to go in cans or they have a nice bar inside the tap room where you can enjoy your drink. I took my mead home and while I enjoyed all of it, my favorite was Winter in So Fla which truly evoked the tropical feel of a winter in Florida. Mead is a great alone or as a pairing to a meal. If you are a mead enthusiast they have memberships for $300 with a host of benefits listed on their website. Whether a casual or refined drinker of mead, you are sure to find something unique and delicious here. John and Stacy are so warm and friendly and this is the kind of science I really enjoy.

Besides delicious wines by the bottle or by the glass, Chez Vincent Wine Bar also offers a great selection of charcutiers. I had their "Le Trio Francais" which consisted of a dry salami rosette of Lyon, Madrange white ham, and a duck rillette being a delicious pate that went so well with my Chateauneuf du Pape. Like I mean in $80 plus a bottle and being told that the wine I'm tasting has a nose of blackberry with undertone hints of peach; none of which I have ever been able to truly discern. So it was a joy for me to stop by The Simple Wine shop where I was given the opportunity to try several not to be found elsewhere wines and also to purchase a couple of bottles for myself. The Simple Wine had wines I've never seen before and a few I've never even heard of previously. So, I became completely fascinated in trying these new flavors and tastes as well as some that were familiar. The selection of Italian wines was amazing as they mostly came from small craft vineyards as in the type that would only supply a few select restaurants, but because of their limited capacity, not something like the big box wine chains such as Total Wines. Having spent considerable time in in the smaller country like regions of Italy, I quickly learned that I never had to purchase a bottle of wine as any restaurant house wines were the equal if not superior to any I'd find in a retail bottle. The secret behind it was that these restaurants were supplied by the small craft like vineyards.
