This is a neighborhood brewery and grill that gets a good crowd every night. The selection of beers is plentiful. We went early on a Friday night and ordered from Happy Hour menu. Small plates of quesadillas, sirloin beef sliders, mini tacos, garlic fries were all tasty and the portions were not tiny. I especially liked the quesadillas. I hear their burgers are delicious but I'll have to order one from main menu next time. The apple crisp was fantastic- just enough crispy topping, perfectly cooked apple slices and a hint of oats makes this a special dessert. I didn't mention the service! Very friendly and accommodating. After I paid the bill the waitress came back and said she accidentally overcharged me and drew up a new, correct bill. Haven't tried the food yet but they are giving Pretentious vibes here. Came for a relaxed birthday celebration and two tables were next to each other. My husband and I sat at the second table because we were squeezed in at the first table and the bar tender told us we wouldn't be able to sit there if the trivia night got packed-- mind you it's a rainy Sunday and not sure if it will get packed or not. We obliged and agreed if more patrons came in we would squeeze into the first table... then the bar tender asked our table for drink orders and when I asked for a water he said a server would come and get that... okay... then a Second Gentlemen came and asked for other orders and I mentioned my water and he brought it but when I asked for a straw then the Second Gentlemen said he doesn't do that only servers get the straws. I waited, no one came, so then I got up walked around and found a female server and asked for a straw and she gave it to me. She was nice. I feel like the men that work here are uptight, pretentious and not helpful. It's unfortunate I had this experience... be advised we were a table of ten people and we were all POC. Came in at around 3pm on a Sunday and it's open seating and they have both indoor and outdoor seating, picked indoor cus it was pretty hot outside. They offer plenty of beer, liquor, and cocktail selections which is pretty fun. Beer prices are pretty reasonable based on alc content. You can also get a flight with 4 oz pours and you can get however many you want but 3-5 is recommended. We did skip the flights and just got a regular pour. Oz depends on alc content as well. Service was pretty aight but we did wait about to 30 mins for our food. The table who got seated 10 mins after us got their food pretty quick and they ordered entrees and we only ordered small plates so I'm not sure what happened there. We did get our beer and water quick tho. For food my partner and I shared the Naughty Cow, Fried Pickles, and Fish and Chips. The Fried Pickles were pretty good! Thinly sliced like fries and very crispy batter. The fish is pretty good as well. Held itself and pretty "meaty" if that's a term you can use with fried fish lol The Naughty Cow gets its own paragraph cus I have some opinions about it lol. The menu says it's fries with ground beef etc and when we got the food, it's basically fries with cheese, onion, jalapeño, and burger patty meat that's been mashed. You can tell that it's also cooked burger patty meat cus you see the grill marks. If it was flavorful maybe I wouldn't be nitpicking but I just felt like it was pretty lazy, considering we had to wait almost 30 mins for our food. Pretty disappointing. Brew's Brothers is a cool spot to chill and drink with a spacious indoor dining space and a plethora of drinking and eating choices. I'd rate this place a 0 out of 5 stars if I could. The owner was incredibly confrontational and disrespectful, and the word 'unprofessionalism' doesn't even begin to cover it. I'd like to clarify that the staff, apart from the owner, was amazing. But the owner's behavior completely ruined our experience, and we'll ever return. Our ordeal started with a simple re-order of some food. When we attempted to discuss our dissatisfaction with with the general manager. It was soon revealed to be the owner of the establishment. We talked the quality of the food, the owner's response was very aggressive, and he used a disrespectful tone. To talk over our problems. He raised his voice and had no interest in being accommodating at all to our problems with the quality of food. This type of behavior is extremely inappropriate for a business owner. We immediately ended the conversation and left. What made matters worse was that, as we left, we had the distinct feeling of being aggressively watched and profiled as we left. This was my worst experience with a business owner, and it left me with a strong sense of discomfort and very un at ease. I strongly advise against going to this place no matter what if you have any other options go there. To sum it up, the rest of the staff was excellent and personable, but the owner single-handedly soured our entire experience and ensured that we won't be returning. I was so happy to finally visit their second location. My husband and I love their North Hollywood location and he mentioned that they had opened up another spot in Burbank. We popped our heads in for a quick drink and we instantaneously fell in love. Their interior design is beautiful and their artwork is unique to this brew pub. It definitely added a twist to what we knew, but still held a sense of familiarity: the original concept is still there. I was hungry so ordered a salad, I believe it was take Aztec salad, and to my surprise was pretty spice. I like. My husband ordered a flight, per usual and he was impressed with their selection. This is a pretty cool spot to come for drinks/food. They have a decent sized parking lot, but it does fill up quickly from what I noticed. If you can't find parking in the lot, drive for a bit until you find some street parking. They have a good selection of different beers, sure to please everyone. The naughty pig fries were delicious!! Their fries were super crispy & the brisket on top was cooked perfectly. They only had 2 bartenders working for the entire restaurant, so it did take some time to order drinks at the bar. So I had an issue with the quality of fries. I asked the server if i could get new fries. The manager told the server that the quality was fine and he would not adjust. The manager proceeded to come to my table and said he was not giving away free food by remaking the fries and continued to try to argue with me about how his fries were high quality. I told him I wasn't trying to argue with him and he began to raise his voice and say he was the owner and he wasn't giving me free food. It was crazy. Never been yelled at by a manager let alone the owner in front of costumers. As a woman of color with severe anxiety It was super embarrassing and triggering. This manager/ owner might have been having Bad day but all I wanted was better quality food not an argument or to be yelled at and belittled in the middle of the restaurant. I don't want to neglect the fact that our server Daniel was very knowledgeable, kind, and attentive. But unfortunately, being humiliated in front of the my friend and the entire restaurant over some fries was absolutely horrible. Visited Brews Brothers as it was in its "soft opening" and I'm glad there's a good new place in the old Simmzy's place. And while improving over Simmzy's food was a low bar to hurdle, BB is on a good start. The burgers were cooked to instructions but pretty dry. I'd suggest some of the other apps while you enjoy your beer. The pretzel with sauces was surprisingly good! (The kind where you don't realize how fast you're eating it and next thing you know, like a magic trick, it disappeared!) The "Roast the Garden" wouldn't have been something I'd have ordered solo, but I'm glad we got it because it was very flavorful and I felt good about myself while downing another beer. On to the beer, or maybe the most important part: while their descriptions are pretty detailed, we were amazed by our server who had it ALL down. Even gave little shooters so we could sample it. Visited Brews Brothers for the first time yesterday. Since my wife and I aren't beer drinkers, we tended to look past it. But we were in the mood to try someplace new, and upon checking out the menu, decided to give it a try. I ​can say that I am glad that we did... The staff are super-friendly. We met one of the owners. Since we were there relatively early, it was not very busy, so he waited our table. ​Really nice guy. As for the food & drink... We got the Bavarian Pretzel to start. It was excellent. We often go to Finney's, and they have a pretzel appetizer, as well. I gotta say, I prefer this one. For drinks, they've got plenty of options for the non-beer drinker. My wife got the "Endless Summer" cocktail -- which she loved. I got a glass of Rye whiskey. Next time, I might try the "Dirty Money" cocktail. he food... she ordered the "Aztec" Salad and I got the Pork Sandwich (and added avocado). Top-notch! We both enjoyed our meals very much. I often hesitate ​to order sandwiches. I can never be sure if they'll be big enough?... will they cheap-out on the meat?... Well, not only was it big enough, it was overflowing with pork! Ive been coming since they opened and before when this was Simmzy's. This place is usually a 5. Tonight and the last time the service was pretty disappointing. Here to pick up and order and wasn't ready. They didnt accept the order until we arrived to pick it up. Decided to sit and wait. Nothing offered for the inconvenience. If this was the Morrison I would've been offered a water or a beer. The last time we ordered there were items missing and I wasn't notified until I checked it myself. Overall the staff is not really focused on service. Not sure what happened to staff turnover. But based on these experiences I would rather spend my hard earned money somewhere else. Btw. We have been going here on Fridays for happy hour. They have a very good selection of all brewed beverages. Right now our go to is Ciders. They also have some pretty good cocktails but those are pricy. The fried pickles, sliders, and quesadilla on the happy hour menu are a good choice. The burgers are also yummy. Haven't tried everything on the menu yet but we will keep going back! We sit outside on the patio which is dog friendly and shaded in the afternoons. I have been to Brew Brothers Burbank twice. Both times the waiter was Daniel. Daniel recommended one of their beers and it was amazing . I love beer . This is the best. And the brisket sandwich with cabbage was the best. I read Delicious seasoned fries too. The service was as good as the beer . I didn't want to leave. I wanted another fresh beer. Burbank parking was in a lot but Van Nuys was a bit harder and couldn't find a parking spot near . I will go there(Burbank) as often as I can . We loved the NoHo location and have been several times. Unfortunately, here was a much less than stellar experience. First, I asked our server Jeremey M for some sour recs and he listed a few and recommended a white chocolate. Sounded great! So, I got it. After receiving said beer, I wanted to send it back because I thought it was terrible. Full disclosure, I did drink quite a bit of it so I said I'd just pay for it in full. At this point, after saying I would just pay for it I would have expected for him to leave the glass so we could just chug it and get our money's worth...instead, he swiftly took it and walked away. Whatever. Here's where my real issue was. I tried to bring up the problem to the owner/manager where his staff could use some training because I have, in the past, unknowingly tried to ask for "exotic" beers and 100% of the time they look at me and say something like, "why don't I bring you a taste of that first?" Or, they will always blatantly offer us tastings before moving forward. This was not the case AND to add insult to injury he gave me a speech about how hard it is to be a business owner stating the following: -if he gave refunds he'd be out of business (I didn't ask for one and just asked if he'd give a courtesy credit or something) -how it's hard to be a business owner because at a restaurant they are lucky to make XYZ profit margin -how it's "obvious" that I coulda asked for a tasting before asking for my beer... -how I was apparently not presenting the issue correctly to him...how at first he thought I just wanted a refund but then I guess he realized that I was just trying to show him where there was a better way to handle this situation..."my bad" Overall, disappointing experience. I should have known right when we got in that the vibes were off...I.e. there were no vibes. It was also super cool to see this guy run over to the bar to talk about us afterwards. With so many other breweries nearby I cannot say I'll be back to this one. read more

Server has her back to the door talking to what looks like a rep. What looks like the manger is sitting at a bar table on the phone . We're standing there with a squirmy toddler and decide to just go somewhere else after waiting for awhile. Would have never written anything but as we were walking out they FINALLY notice us and decide to greet us.
