Charcuterie board with goat cheese, manchego, salami, bread, and accompaniments

This cozy wine bar/store is located next to many busy restaurants on Riverside. It's pretty subtle from the outside but not to be missed. It was our first time here and we had a great experience! Our host Hannah recommended several nice wines to go with our charcuterie board (two cheeses, salami, bread) - our favorite was their sparkling rose. Btw she was the only one working and did a fantastic job taking care of everyone in the store. A few FYIs.. they currently no longer have happy hour but their prices and pours are quite reasonable at regular costs. Most of their food options are smaller bites but you're welcome to bring your own food in if you want something more substantial. Really enjoyed our time here and will be back! Most of the store was regulars so definitely a good sign. Highly recommend!

I maintain that you discover the best little places when you're not looking for them. We were waiting for our sushi takeout about three doors down, and decided to take a stroll by the storefronts. This little wine shoppe had beautiful ambient lighting and a friendly face. We saw two people sipping wine and thought hey! Let's do that. Glad we did! I got a glass of Skylark Rosé and it was so delicious! The perfect glass. They have a fridge in the back and offer lots of great little eats by Room Forty, a privately owned and operated upscale meal service. Buttermilk biscuits, baba ganoush and pita kits, you name it- this place has everything you need for a date night or evening with friends. You must wear a mask and you must sit outside. Ariel was very sweet, friendly, and helpful when selecting our wines. These days, friendliness seems hard to come by. Her service and conversation took us out of the pandemic funk and for that brief glass of wine on the patio, we forgot about everything else :-)

A chill wine bar with industrial vibe, also a wine store. The tasting menu has mostly Spanish and Italian, but also a few French and local central California wines. Happy hour is 1-4p weekends. I'm sad their happy hour ends so early. The prices are very reasonable, ranging from $7-16 wines per glass and also beers. Great service. There were 4 snacks on the menu. Like chips, almonds, egg, chartcuterie plate. Perhaps the last is the best if you're hungry, or just go to nearby shop for other food. The atmosphere is chill and cozy. Indie fans, they play music like Heartless Bastards and War on Drugs. The people are very friendly. Parking is on the street, valet in back or nearby lots. It wasn't a problem at 5pm Saturday. I tried the Granacha Blanca, a light, mellow, citrus similar to pino Grigio from Spain. There are also some very light, non sweet reds. It wasn't my style of wines, but you may like it. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit.

THE CUTEST little wine spot! You know when you're always trying to find your local neighborhood bar that you could walk to from your apt?! This is the spot for me! I mean aside from some others on my list that's nearby, this one is perfect for me because I pretty much only drink wine. I asked for a prosecco and she recommended something specific (cava?) and it was delightful. I also love how intimate it is and the staff is so friendly! Definitely coming back soon :)

Perfect for a glass of wine before dinner! This is definitely our favorite spot for sushi pre-game (we love Kabosu the next door sushi place, but the line is always at least 30 minutes so we are obliged to get a drink to kill some time)! They have very fine wines - the place is intimate cozy and romantic, we usually go for the bar and we always find some people to chat with I would recommend it for a date (if he or she is a wine lover) or for a catch up hang with friends! Ariel is super sweet and very attentive. We love the cab on the menu so much we ended up buying a bottle as they only had 2 left and we did not want to miss out! They have also few snacks to accompany with the wine so that you donne get drunk lol!

We are newer to the Toluca Lake area, and have so enjoyed our time exploring all the incredible local business within walking distance of our home. Spin the Bottle wine studio is no exception! They have been on our list for some time now, and we finally had an opportunity to stop in a few weeks ago during a local open house for some of the businesses. We grabbed a seat by the big front window (my new favorite seat for anytime we go!) and perused the menu. They have a great selection of wines and we settled on a great Cabernet. The staff was friendly and the space is small and intimate, really charming. Can't wait to return soon and try their Tappy Hour!

I believe the Spin The Bottle happy hour starts at 4pm but I've never used it. I'm always there early...2pm or so. Not a huge selection of wine and beer but everything I've had in wine has been really good.

Outside was a better temp and ambiance so we elected for that . I was expecting wood fired pizza, but they didn't have it unfortunately :( Not a lot of food options here, more of a casual place for a glass of wine.. so we got wine and charcuterie and left instead of dinner as planned. The cheese board was honestly depressing, with the bread being the best thing on there. I wish there was more cheese .. It was a cute place, but I felt a bit bamboozled . We were sat next to a bush , basically directly next to another couple, which felt like we were in their conversation. My car got trapped in with the parked when we were ready to leave. Service was mid , not very personable . Not sure I'll be back for dinner , maybe if they got some better food options. But cute for a glass of wine if you are local.

I ended up ordering the Rosso Veronese. It was dry overall but had a touch more sweetness than I expected, which made it easy to drink given I'm not much of a wine connoisseur. We also benefited from a special on the wine because it had been featured at an event the previous day. The space itself was comfortable and inviting. We grabbed a spot on one of the couches, which gave the evening a more relaxed feel compared to a typical wine bar setup. Pricing is about what you'd expect for a wine-focused spot. First and foremost, a huge shoutout to our server, Seth, and the entire team. The service was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. Waters were never empty, drinks arrived promptly, and every dish was perfectly timed and coursed throughout the evening. The level of attention to detail elevated an already incredible meal into a truly memorable experience. As for the food, I genuinely don't know where to begin. This might be one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles -- and honestly, it has a strong case for being the best. Every single dish that came out was executed beautifully. We started with the caviar service, which was an easy win from the start. The chips were impossibly light, airy, and perfectly salted, while the onion crème fraîche added an incredible richness that tied everything together beautifully. Next came the milk buns, which were soft, fluffy, and completely addictive. The whipped butter served alongside them was silky, rich, and absolutely perfect. The tiger prawn tostada completely surprised me in the best possible way. It delivered layers of flavor with subtle heat that never overpowered the dish. The prawns were cooked flawlessly, and every bite felt balanced and intentional. Then came the croquettes, which may have officially ruined all other croquettes for me. They were perfectly crisp on the outside while the interior simply melted in your mouth. The accompanying sauce was beautifully balanced and made an already fantastic dish even better. For mains, we ordered the Dungeness crab pasta, which was light, fresh, and elegant. It wasn't trying to be overly complicated, and that was exactly what made it so good. It was a reminder that simplicity, when executed well, can be extraordinary. The pork belly risotto was another standout. The risotto itself was cooked perfectly, and the pork belly somehow managed to be both crispy and melt-in-your-mouth tender at the same time. Every component on the plate worked together flawlessly. We also ordered the corn and roasted potatoes as sides, and somehow even those managed to steal the spotlight. The corn was an absolute flavor bomb, and the roasted potatoes were equally unforgettable. And then came the star of the evening: the tomahawk. Without question, it was the best tomahawk steak I've ever had. The accompanying chili sauce wasn't aggressively spicy like a traditional salsa might be; instead, it was incredibly balanced and complemented the richness of the steak perfectly. Every bite was absolute perfection. By the end of the meal, we were completely stuffed, but after a dinner this good there was no chance we were skipping dessert. We ordered the French toast dessert, which was delicious with its tangy strawberry syrup and beautifully executed flavors. My only critique would be that I wish it had been served warmer and in a slightly larger portion, because I truly think that would have taken it to an entirely different level. Overall, I left absolutely blown away. The chef, the kitchen team, and the front-of-house staff delivered one of the best dining experiences I've had in a very long time. Everything was delicious--the croquettes, the crushed potatoes, the branzino, the lobster tagliatelle, 10/10. The octopus dish was absolutely insane, though. The musicians that night (stand-up bass, and piano) were playing jazz covers of a lot of familiar older songs. They were so talented, and fun to watch! Another lovely night with Verse. Thanks again!

This small Spanish restaurant opened in September of 2025 and was having a very busy Sunday night when my son and I decided to come in for dinner. They have no parking, so we found a meter on Ventura Blvd. We walked in at 6:50pm and were greeted by Renee (one of the owners) who asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, so he offered us 2 seats at the bar. At first I was a bit hesitant since I was hoping to have a table service meal. Renee encouraged us to try the bar, saying it's still a great experience. Well, he was right! We got 2 nice seats at the corner of the bar and thankfully it wasn't too stuffy. Liana was working the bar and she's also the lovely girl who took care of us during our dinner. She was so sweet, pleasant, kind, knowledgeable and hardworking. She was able to expertly answer all our questions and made sure we were well looked after. She also kept our water glasses full throughout the whole dinner. We ordered quite a few different items and every single dish was OUTSTANDING! There seriously wasn't even one thing we didn't like. We devoured the crumbs on every plate. To start, we had the Dátiles (warm dates with Manchego cheese), followed by the Mushroom Pintxos (Mushroom and Goat Cheese Toast). We actually ended up ordering another order of the toast since I loved it so much. The dates were also delicious, and this is coming from someone who doesn't even like dates. Next up was the Tortilla Española, a classic Spanish dish. It was piping hot, fresh out of the skillet. Nice and fluffy inside, with some spicy aioli on the side that complimented it well. We also got the Calamares a La Plancha, which was also very flavorful and fresh. I'm a huge fan of seafood but never had calamari prepared like this. It was definitely a different experience than the deep fried version I'm used to, but I loved it all. The Gambas Al Ajillo was the next appetizer and it was simply fantastic. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. The sauce it came with was so yummy that we saved it to pour over the rice in our entree, the Carne. It's a hanger steak that comes with chimichurri and fries, however we asked for a substitute of rice instead of fries. This steak was cooked to PERFECTION. It was medium rare, just like we asked, and it was top notch quality. The rice and chimichurri also tasted great. It definitely hit the mark for a carnivore like myself. I will say that the wait time between the previous course and the steak was a bit long, and Liana apologized for it before we even said anything. We also shared a Red Sangria and it was DIVINE. It is clear to me that Unidos is a place full of love and passion. It's a very classy place, but in a very modern and relaxed way. It's chic, stylish, and sexy. All the food we ate is proof that everyone in the kitchen loves what they do and cares about what they put on your plate. Everything was super fresh and great quality, and I'm not just talking about the food. The service from everyone was superb! Starting from Renee, to Liana, to Gloria. She was the food runner for the whole restaurant by herself and she was doing an excellent job, quickly and efficiently getting everyone's food to the correct tables. Prices are a bit on the higher end, but appropriate for the quality of food and service. It was worth every penny and we will definitely be back! They have one gender neutral restroom and one women's restroom. Everything was beautiful and clean! There's also some patio seating. Thank you Renee, Liana, Gloria, and Unidos! 10/10!! HANDS DOWN!!

We ordered the patatas bravas, croquetas, and the mariscos paella and each dish was just as good as the next. Will definitely be back!

The space isn't very large but they have some tables inside, some small "booth"-style seats that only seat one person per side, some bar seating, and a couple tables. They also have a table out front in their patio. They have an extensive wine list with a little bit of everything. They also have a happy hour until 6pm which gets you $2 off select wines. I've come here before and tried a bunch of their sparkling wines which was so fun and delicious and last night I came by and tried one of their NA sparkling rose wines which was pretty nice! I love that they have a couple NA wines on their list. Staff here are always so friendly. Prob my favorite local spot, just wish it was bigger!!

They have small two person booths, bar seating, and some seating outside. I recently came for a fun girls tarot card night and had so much fun. Great selection of wine, and food menu is small. I never come here expecting to eat a meal, I usually just get a little charcuterie board to go with my wine and it's great to share. Food can sometimes take a minute, because the person pouring the wine is also the one making your cheeseboard. Folks behind the bar are always friendly and approachable. One of my favorite spots in the Valley for a glass!
