This place a great time. Solid food for bar food, and the vibes are great any time there's a sporting event. It's super popular so if there's a big game on, make sure you get reservations at least 2 or more weeks in advance. Our waitress Chloe is great, always takes the best care of us, making sure we're all good even when they're absolutely packed and busy. Big shoutout to her. The owner also does his best to accommodate everyone even when it's chaos there.

I was literally driving by looking for a spot to catch the last few minutes of Argentina v Egypt, and spotted the tvs from the road. I pulled up, got a seat at the bar, and witnessed an incredible soccer match! TVs galore, I'll definitely be back to catch another match before the World Cup ends. I was torn between getting the fish tacos or the chicken Caesar wrap, but the bartender suggested the tacos. Literally, the BEST fish tacos I've ever had. Super juicy tasting fish, fresh, and the green sauce was delish! I can't wait to come back!

Stopped into Game Changer for a bite of lunch and a good tequila to celebrate Cinco De Mayo. It's a nicely appointed restaurant, with TVs covering the walls, and all manner of sports playing at all times. It was a little past prime lunch time, so there were only a few customers eating, and the staff was getting the place ready for what was surely to be a busy night (Cindo de Mayo + the Lakers in the playoffs). I ordered my glass of tequila (Don Julio Reposado), which was served neat with a fresh slice of orange, and was just what I needed. To eat, I decided on the Fried Calamari with crispy jalapeños -- and that's where things headed downhill. The calamari was seriously sub-par, disappointingly chewy even when hot right out of the kitchen, and then downright rubber-like when slightly cooled. I'm assuming this is cheap, commercial, frozen calamari, as you might get someplace that also serves Dodger Dogs as a feature attraction. Given the number of restaurants serving better food in the neighboring square mile, Game Changer needs to up their game if they're going to stay... in the game?

I went for a showing of love island and it was very busy. Service was mediocre- you could tell the servers and wait staff were spread thin. Drinks were great but food was not. I paid $12 for fried pickles and this was what was served... literally 8 pickles is ridiculous. There is also a $50 minimum spend PER person for the viewing. It's a fun bar for live viewings but currently seems overwhelmed to handle the large influx of people for these live events.

Came during the FIFA World Cup. Even though it was busy, they sat us right away and food didn't take long to come out. Satisfied with everything

If you're looking for a chill spot with good food and a clean vibe, Game Changers Brewery is definitely worth checking out. I tried the wings, cauliflower wings, and the chicken burger, and everything hit. The wings had great flavor and were cooked just right, and I appreciated that the cauliflower wings weren't just an afterthought--they were actually really good. The chicken burger was solid too, juicy and satisfying without being too heavy. Service was pretty good overall, and the place itself stood out for how clean it was. You can tell they take pride in the space, which always makes the experience better. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

This is such a good place to watch soccer. Every time I come here, good crowd, good energy, good food. What else do you need? The lamb chops were so good. And please, try that salad... I don't even remember the name. Something with avocado and falafel. I usually don't get excited about salad, but this one disappeared from my plate. Normally when I go to a sports bar, I look at the menu for 20 minutes, order beer, and that's it. Here it's different. You actually come to watch soccer and end up having a really good dinner too. I've been here several times already, and every time I leave happy. Definitely one of my favorite places to watch the game.

Stopped by in a random Wednesday for a quick diner and drinks. We got here fairly early so we had plenty of seating options. The bartender was wonderful! Got us started with our drinks and menus. We started with the fried pickles and loaded tater tots. Both of them were super good. But definitely be careful with those fried pickles. They are extremely warm. And I love pickles and I'm extremely impatient, and bite into it and burned my lip. I had the Fish and Chips, and they were good. Not your typical two pieces of fish but small ball shaped bites. I had the Royal Chocolate Stout and O.M.G was it fantastic! I'd come back just for the beer! For dessert we shared the Pecan Pie and that too was yummy. Only down side was our waitress, I understand getting busy but she had all of 3 tables including us and my second drink didn't come till after we finished our meal.

Came here for college football. It was so packed! Literally every table booked. You had to make a reservation, which was nice actually because you're guaranteed a seat. Also no cover charge which is much appreciated. We had a party of 7. They have plenty of tables but I feel like 7 or 8 would be the max party size. At least when there's a watch party situation. Service was a bit slow but that's to be expected when it was pretty much at capacity. Our server was great though. He was on it. It's very loud on game days. Also there are literally 20-something TVs which is a bit excessive. But no more craning your neck to see! Food was pretty good. I had the mezze platter. A bit salty but scrumptious nonetheless. Drinks were decently priced. I especially liked the GCB Berliner Weisse. Overall good experience! Super fun atmosphere when there's a game on! Parking is just along Ventura or surrounding streets.

    Dirty glassware- enough said.

I didn't have a good experience, but decided that it could have been a one-time bad luck thing, so I didn't review. I recently tried it again now that it became Brews Brothers, and I'm sorry to say that it really misses the mark for me. Here is the breakdown of the pros and cons: Pros: One star for friendly service and being dog friendly. One star for good alcohol. Cons: - Seating is very uncomfortable. When this place was Stout, seating was very comfy. But for some reason, they've raised the bench seating WAY too high, to the point that your feet dangle if you're under 5'6". You're WAY above the table, and it's awkward and quite uncomfortable. - Food is sub-par. We tried an Okie burger and an ahi sandwich. The Okie burger was dry, tasteless, and underseasoned. The ahi sandwich was bland and unremarkable. The fries were far too overbreaded for my taste. I used to love this place, but now, after two not-great experiences with meh food and bad seating, I do not think I'll be back. Please, guys! Lower your bench seating and improve your burgers! You're competing with Forman's and Laurel Tavern!

Sherman Oaks is gritty and the section of Ventura Boulevard that houses TLP is almost brutalist in its anti-establishment aesthetic. You would never know it was here if you didn't either live in the neighborhood or seek it out as I did. It is sandwiched between a completely non-descript place that I didn't even look at and a crystals shop with grafitti-etched windows (unfortunately!) but some really cool beads. Inside is the same -- no frills, a dress-down and survive-if-you-dare vibe. My pictures will illustrate what I mean. Nevertheless, the friendly service (shout out to our server, Patrick), the menu, and the quality of the food are well worth it. Again, see what we ordered in the photos attached. Everything was delicious. The floor, tables, and chairs were all clean. There is some kind of post-apocalypse rhumba going on with the ceiling treatment. It is almost reverse-logic art with all the shading (stains? velour movement?) and utilitarian installation it reveals. Love the walls though, and the worn distressed wood everywhere (see the pix, folks). A bonus was watching the Masters (Patrick let us linger) and sitting by a giant window that was open to the street. Parking is up a block or so on either side. We always find safe spots in Sherman Oaks. The music seemed to be one CD of an unknown (to me) vocal artist and was pleasant. The crowd was friendly and the whole atmosphere was like one big homey grunge party. You know those mornings you fall out of bed and almost don't want to change out of your pajamas or yoga threds? This is the place to go. I loved it. (NOTE: You may have to refresh this page twice to see my pictures, for some reason. grrrrrr)

The people who work here: all kind and helpful and on top of their stuff. This place gets really packed sometimes but even in the chaos, when customers are rude and drunk and break things they keep their cool, always. But don't treat them poorly. I will come for you. Chard is the GM and he is one of the kindest and most generous humans I have had the pleasure of know and is the mastermind behind getting the themed nights up and going. His ability to make a person feel welcome is pretty much unmatched in my opinion. The food: omg you guys the FOOD!!!! It's so good. They just changed the menu so I haven't gotten to try everything yet but the chicken dumplings are delicious. A bit of a kick but the best kind. The chili cheese fries that my friend had were also so good. Perfect cheese to chili ratio with the fries. There is a chef in the back who is passionate about food and making sure it tastes perfect so I trust everything is good. But if you are unsure ask the servers or bartenders. They won't steer you wrong. The drinks: admittedly, I mostly drink just screwball on the rocks. However every mixed cocktail I have had here has been perfection. Mark is the manager and he could be a mixologist, should be a mixologist, super nice guy who is shockingly good and remembering peoples drink preferences. Like a year ago was the last time I ordered cider and he remembered! The vibe: I wouldn't really call this place a dive bar, but it's sort of got a hint of dive bar going on. The back patio is really nice during the summer but sitting inside the barrel is fun too. The bulldog is kinda small so you won't fit a ton of people in there but it's still fun. Lots of places to sit although sometimes it does get packed and it's standing room only. Not to mention, they allow dogs!!! This is a great place to come with a first date. It's good for dressing up a little but not too much and there are some corners you can sit in so you can have a little closeness. But the staff will also keep an eye out for you. If you are feeling uncomfortable in any way, they will keep an eye out for you and help you out. There isn't a designated dance floor but they won't be mad if you dance in the area that you've got available to you. Just don't accidentally knock anything over or hit anybody. The music: Chard is usually in charge of the play list but even when he isn't the music is usually pretty great and there's a band that comes and plays on Sundays for a while in the afternoon/evening. I have found some of my new favorite music because of this place. Drag brunch: I've never actually attended because I've heard it gets a little crazy and that can be a little scary overwhelming for me, but they do it everyday Saturday and Sunday and that's been going strong for a pretty long time so I have to assume it's a good time. The themed events: this is the kind of crazy I can handle though. They have done lots of the rings, zelda anniversary, a Star Wars themed singles event for Valentine's Day, a scholastic book fair, and Easter egg hunt, their Halloween and New Year's Eve events were AMAZING, I could go on and on. People turn up for these events and they are just some of the most fun especially with the costumes you will see. Go to Idle Hour. I've never loved a bar before. This place is something else. I promise you won't be disappointed, unless you're one of those kinds of people who finds something wrong no matter how amazing the place is or you're kind of an entitled jerk.

I was there 5 days ago and wanted to buy a housewarming gift for a friend of mine that just moved in to a new apartment building. I know she drinks and likes wine of practically any and every kind. I bought Josh red wine-Cabernet Sauvignon $13.99, and Riunite red wine more of a dessert wine by Lambrusco. Also $13.99. Great customer service by Christin & Kai. Store is filled with so many selections of wine, beer, seltzer, sodas, water, lemon juice, hard liquor & more...They even have variety of cheese in their refrigerated isle. Crackers, chips, cookies of different kinds with affordable prices. It is a good store, with helpful, knowledgeable employees with nice smiles. Eager to help you. Some hard liquor has chocolate truffle inside; fill in with Irish Whiskey and or/ Irish Cream. Store is clean, nicely stocked/organized, and is located conveniently inside the Vons shopping center that is shared with multiple businesses. With that being said, has plenty of parking spaces. Go get what you need!:-)

My love for craft beer brought me here years ago and I still come back often. At one point, they…read morelost their head brewer and we lost a lot of their unique beers but had an array of guest taps. I'm glad that's changed! They're brewing again AND still have guest taps! Deal with the Devil is my favorite IPA here. Ordering is easy, just go to the bar, place your order (check the paper menus by the register first), open a tab and they'll give you a number to put on your table. Wait for your food to arrive and enjoy! Don't forget the beers! For food, our go to is always their pizza (check out the cheese pull in my photos) and fougasse. Our kids love the pizza and plain curly fries. Chicken wings and their Caesar salad is good too! We miss the panna cotta they used to have. They were delicious! The cookies are a good substitute for that sweet craving after a meal. Parking can be difficult and stressful at times to find a spot. You'll have to drive around to find one. They have parking in front of the brewery, but it's VERY limited. We Uber with friends and family sometimes to avoid the stress of finding parking. Staff is always kind and always there to make suggestions on the beers they serve. Don't forget to take a photo in their photo booth before you leave! For $7, you'll be able to take 3 photos and the machine will print two copies for you. Awesome souvenir that you and your partner will be able to take one home!

They allow dogs (we sat outside with ours). They are also open to all ages. They have events on different days of the week so definitely follow them on instagram if you live in the area.
