Wow they are super friendly here. They actually seem to care about their customers. I enjoy their…read morebreakfast pizza with bacon as it ties you over for awhile. They were currently out but manager said there would be more in 3 minutes. I found a Dr. Pepper Zero and prepaid and got a hot and fresh slice. I do dab with napkins to soak up excess grease. There are no Casey's in metro area and I sometimes get a slice depending on the time of the day. The manager said a Jalapeño popper pizza is coming soon.

I was debating whether to write a review for this brief stop at Casey's. I decided to do a rather…read moreweird one. A few Saturdays ago, I had lunch at Olive Garden in Coon Rapids. I normally don't consume such a carb-heavy meal. I blame having a breadstick, zuppa toscana, and a large portion of chicken marsala fettuccine. After running a couple of errands after lunch, I decided to do a day trip down to Rochester and northern Iowa. Well, the carb coma kicked in. I was yawning midway between Blaine and Rochester. I knew that I needed to pull over and take a nap. I needed to be alert while driving. I had never been to Cannon Falls before. It was the home of Midwest of Cannon Falls, which sold s'mores ornaments and figures. I loved them so much and still have many, including a small s'mores lamp. I had always wanted to visit the store in this town, but I could easily buy products from this place in Rochester as a resident. Well, that business got bought out by some larger company years ago. Midwest of Cannon Falls moved away from Cannon Falls. I never thought that I'd drop by Cannon Falls to take a nap at a gas station. It was exactly what I did. This gas station has a decent number of gas pumps. I was looking at parking. All parking spots are closest to the actual store, all in a row. I parked on the far left. It was a cold day, so I had to keep my rental car running to keep me warm. With my doors locked, I closed my eyes and dozed off for twenty minutes. I woke up. There was a car parked a couple of spots away from me. It wasn't there before I snoozed away. I felt refreshed and energized after my nap. I was fine for the rest of the day. There are many Casey's gas stations in Minnesota and Iowa. I believe that it's a midwest company. It is known for its taco pizza. I need to give it a try the next time I come across a Casey's. I am thankful that I could pull over at this gas station and take a nap. I never thought that I'd sleep through my first visit to Cannon Falls, but nothing is dull with me... haha! (131)

Typical bar food things to select from. The interior was clean and comfortable. The food was decent and portions were large. My only complaint is that the grill is an open concept in the bar area so you see everything being prepared. I was shocked to see the grill cook handle all the food items with bare hands. Then he would take a seat at the bar only to get up and cook more food without washing his hands. Rather disgusting in my book thus the 3 rating.

They were out rather fast and were your basic packaged curds. I would certainly go with the chicken wings next time. On person in our party of 6 ordered them as a main course and they were very good. Crispy batter and juicy chicken. I elected to try the Patty melt because it promoted a HUGE patty. Well my HUGE is much different than this one! The patty melt had good taste but I would certainly go with a different selection next time. The texas toast was toasted perfectly but it was just small. The tots were good but I wouldn't pay the upcharge next time. The FF are much better. My wife had Chicken bacon/ranch sandwich. She said it was moist with a crispy batter. She was very happy with the quantity and quality of the meal. Other in our party had the Eye opener (breakfast) burger with FF and like I said the FF are the right choice. Burger was good. Other meal order was boneless wings. they were also a good choice. Overall an OK place to eat. Certainly better than the McD down the street.
