We stumbled across BRGR bar when staying across the street at the Hampton Inn. Great little spot for happy hour and would definitely go back for a meal! We loved the poutine fries and fried pickles (ask for some ranch, too!). Happy hour deals were awesome and we had a great table outside. Would definitely try again!

Felt a little old and slightly forgotten about a little inside. It was a Sunday afternoon in the summer. The town was bustling but barely anyone was in BRGR and it was 12:30pm (plus it was rainy.) we were seated immediately but as much as the restaurant was pretty vacant we were seated ad an odd table with a piece of the wall obtruding cutting down sitting space at a 4 top table as we were a party of 4. Odd... The waitress was nice. Food came quick. I have the fig burger. It was cooked perfectly and tasted good but what a mess! I know some people may enjoy messy burgers but that's not my style. I looked over and my husband was a mess from his burger! Tip: parking is on street and this is a congested hotel area.

We ordered a bison burger which my husband loved and I ordered a smash burger which was alright. The service was really good. The waiter was attentive. I ordered a rum punch and I wasn't impressed. Sitting outside was nice.

We came in with a party of 8 this weekend and this is not the place for a crowd that size. The bar takes up a majority of the restaurant which implants the seating capacity. The food was fantastic but it took a hot minute to get. Our table was serviced by the bar staff and we felt very forgotten at some points. But no complaints about the food.

Good food and service on a cold Sunday afternoon, what else do we need to end the weekend well! The service was amazing(I wish I remembered the server's name). She was kind, patient and very honest with her recommendations. The restaurant itself as well as the restrooms were clean. It is a small cozy restaurant. All the food was we ordered sooo good. The wings, burgers, veggie burger, jackfruit taco, croquettes, fries and Brussel sprouts. I cannot wait to have lunch here again when I am in the area next! Highly highly recommend!!!

I definitely recommend Brgr as a casual date spot or a spot to catch the game with friends. The food is good and they do the burgers well. I'm a little bit of a wings snob and for me the "crispy buffalo wings" were not crispy at all. And the sauce wasn't that good. Service was great and friendly. It's hard to say what specifically, but BRGR is missing something to get it to 5 stars. Still a great Portsmouth spot tho.

Can I just say @ 2 pm on a Friday OMG freaking ridiculous burger. The flavor is out of this world cooked perfectly. My fries are cheesy and gooey but yet crispy drinks are phenomenal and staff is off the hook! Haven't been in since the nearest homey bought many burgers for staff employees locally will definitely be back and a redo !! Pop in and get food you won't regret! Bartender Bret and the chef Jason should be commended well done !!!

There was a bug in my water the food was good and the coke tasted like it was watered down

We started off with the waffle fries with cheese and bacon bits, along with the garlic truffle bone in chicken wings. The fries were so good, crispy, hot, flavored and just seasoned very well. The chicken wings were very large and very fresh. The truffle flavor was actually very strong so I appreciated that. We got a few burgers and they did not disappoint as they too came with fries, you can substitute but would cost a little more. Burgers were a good ratio to the bun and flavorful.

Food was good, but not seasoned much. Waiter was nice, and the atmosphere was lively. Overall pretty good, just a little spicy.

I found them on Yelp, and highly rated, so that was enough for me !! Not a huge menu, but we easily found what we wanted. The burgers were on the slightly smallish side (compared to others I've had), but they were delicious, and with the accompanying fries for me and onion rings for him, we certainly didn't walk away hungry. The "classic" burgers that we ordered were well represented with the ingredients we like (beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle with some "hush" sauce - essentially thousand island dressing). We loved every bite !! We'd return here in a heartbeat, so if ever we're up in that area, we'll be getting those burgers again. Yummm.

Every time, the burgers and fries are delicious and the employees are friendly and helpful. The seating is limited so definitely try to go during non peak hours if you have a group. Lexies has monthly specials which have always been amazing in my experience. My favorite one had to be the deviled egg burger - hoping it makes an appearance on the menu again soon!!

We visited on Friday night and sat at a table as the bar seating was pretty packed. Crowd was pretty chill - a mixture of people in their 20's having drinks & apps, and then older couples/families enjoying dinner. We were happy to see Smithwicks on the draft menu, and we also got a Downeast cider with a caramel/cinnamon rim. We ordered the house made mozzarella sticks, which were ginormous, crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and all around delicious. We all opted with different types of burgers - sliders, fried chicken, and a pub burger. All were served with fries and were perfectly cooked. The coating on my fried chicken was crispy and flavorful. Service was awesome - our glasses were never left empty! Best of all, Dwyers has a free jukebox packed with favorites. Looking forward to coming back on our next visit to Portsmouth - we'll definitely be trying the deviled eggs, wings, and fried oreos!

The french fries alone are why I love the place. They taste like they chopped a potato right there and tossed it into the frier. I'm sick of places that use the gross coated fries, Gilley's thankfully does not do that! It's a small little diner that's been around forever with only a few parking spots (like three or four) in a busy area of Portsmouth. The hours are a little wacky but it's always worth it. The fried egg and cheese and the grilled cheese are made about as perfectly as one could hope. Very greasy spoon diner type of grub. Reading some of the one star reviews, they seem to come from disgruntled people who have a weird agenda who also don't tip and are proud to mention it in their review... and this is the only place they've reviewed?
