My mom's smile became like a deformed skeleton (see photo) and she experienced significant pain under Dr. Kim many years ago. We subsequently went to Dr. Seonho Ha, who fixed Mom's pain and explained to us Dr. Kim's failures. We used those details to send Dr. Kim a complaint letter. Dr. Kim never paid us back the $ Mom spent, and unsurprisingly, his insurance company didn't take responsibility either. We ultimately decided it wasn't worth filing litigation. To top it off, Dr. Brian was VERY personable. I had to be referred to a specialist for initial work. I really do like Brian dental care. I've been coming here since 2021 - have had amazing experiences. The front desk and office staff are always very nice and courteous always updating me on things that I need to know. And absolutely like getting my goodie bag at the end of my visit. This visit however, was subpar. I just left not too long ago and it feels like only half of my mouth got cleaned. I know this wasn't the dentist fault as they are not the ones conducting the cleaning - so whoever was the hygienist assigned to me today did not do a great job. He only flossed half of my mouth neglecting a whole other side and it seemed rushed towards the end of my cleaning. Not sure if I'll be back because I am moving - but if I am coming back, I would like a different dental assistant or hygienist. I'm still giving this dentist four stars because this was a one off experience and the other staff members who I've interacted with are always great. read more

While it's been over 2 years since Dr. Kim installed my first and only crown I felt it was imperative to leave this review. Upon Dr. Kim installing the crown I looked in the mirror and thought, it doesn't match my teeth. It looks like a blob/ rounded stump and not shaped like a molar. Calling the office when I arrived home they agreed to review the crown and opted to have a new one manufactured. When the new one arrived, they showed it to me and Dr. Kim stated he was at the lab to oversee it production to ensure they got it perfect. I commented that it still doesn't look like a typical molar tooth with lobes/ cusps separated with an indentation in the center of the tooth. He stated this 'typical' look could not be achieved due to being a second molar and that this is the best that can be done to match my other teeth, so I opted to have it installed. Months later my orthodontist fitted me with aligners to perfect my smile which was a 2-year journey, hence why I'm leaving the review today. In my initial visit he commented on the crown assuming it was placed decades ago. When I informed him it was just installed months ago, he stated it was yellower than my natural teeth and looked like it was extremely worn down...hence my blob comment. Upon completing my orthodontic treatment, I was referred to a general dentist. She looked at my teeth and resounded the same comments as my orthodontist. She assured me that the lab their company utilizes to manufactures the crown is far superior to the crown in my mouth. Yesterday I was fitted with my new crown. It is night and day better than Dr. Kim's. In looking in my mouth you could never tell it is a crown. It matches my other teeth in shape and color perfectly. Since insurance doesn't cover aesthetics, I'm out $1,800. I can't put all the blame on Dr. Kim as he is only as good as the lab that manufactures his crowns, veneers, etc. I do blame him for not giving me the opportunity to leave in the temporary at the time and inform me that if I'm not happy with the aesthetics to look elsewhere. read more

I guess I saw some of the recent Groupon reviews a little bit too late. I just went for my appointment which I scheduled months ago. The timing wasn't great for me but I was trying to make it work because it was a good date for my dental schedule. After I arrived, I could tell that the place looked familiar. I asked if I had been there and found that I was there 6 years ago. I've seen Some Groupons before allow you to only use one Groupon per year or other rules such as that. Thankfully, this one only said that there is a maximum of 3 Groupon's per client and I still had 2 left, meaning this was my "first" registered with Groupon. The staff then informed me that I couldn't use the Groupon because I wasn't a new patient. I showed them the page information and they said that they have tried to contact Groupon because they changed their policy. They refused to honor their own Groupon. To say that this was inconvenient, poor customer service, and a waste of my time and money (and has thrown me off my dental cleaning timeframe), is an understatement. I'm honestly mind blown that they wouldn't uphold the appointment even after i had informed them I had a Groupon when I scheduled the appointment. Another Groupon review says that they wouldn't honor the Groupon because she needed a "deep cleaning." Definitely not an honest or respectable place to support. read more

Dr. Li and her dental assistant Yanni? (I can't remember) were to the point, honest about my x-rays, trustworthy and easy to talk too! Now if you are a groupon hunter for dentistry then you know its not easy finding this gem of a place, I've been rushed out with bad cleanings (my teeth wouldn't be completely cleaned) but the dental assistant went above and beyond and even was careful not to nick my gums and cause bleeding which other dentists will try and intentionally do that to upsell you... It's absurd how many untrustworthy medical professionals there are so you have to be quite wise and observant of how they act. They were absolutely the BEST!! Also when you leave a review they will like it! The groupon deal is $35 for x-rays and cleaning and they did way more then I expected, the cleaning alone on my teeth took about and hour, and you can just pay them the I left a picture of how immaculately clean they made my teeth, and even after this visit the cleaning. Definitely the best deal, for the honesty, cleaning and no upselling or lying. The best, I promise you that. and I've been going through mulitiple dentists in the area. read more

If you haven't noticed, the office staff is very accommodating and obliging. They are professional and always willing to help. Ask them anything, and they will be there to answer. (Brian Dental Care also has a nice, "a la mode" lounge with drinks while you wait between procedures.) But above all of these, I would most like to compliment Dr. Brian. He is one of the many dentists, who is extremely difficult to find. He is forebearing, easy to talk to, and understanding. Recently I visited Brian Dental Care to get three of my teeth removed.
