We can't say enough amazing things about the team at BRICK, especially our incredible coordinator, Lindsay. From our first meeting we knew that this was the perfect venue for us and that she was the perfect fit to make our vision a reality. We wanted a space that we could totally customize from decor to the brands of booze we brought in and BRICK fit the bill. The building is in a great location with tons of parking and we loved having the option to have our cocktail hour outside as well. The on site beverage coordinator Sabrina was super communicative and easy to work with. We also got tons of compliments on the bartenders because the quality of the cocktails was top notch. They were also just super wonderful people on top of it. Even with as wonderful as BRICK was, what put it over the top was our coordinator Lindsay. She was with us every step of the way and helped bring our vision to life by suggesting amazing vendors and really listening to and hearing us. We all got super emotional walking in to see the space on the day because it was way more than we could have ever hoped for. Lindsay made sure everything went perfectly smooth from the coordination at our off-site ceremony to making sure we got to experience all of the wonderful details at our reception. BRICK is a dream venue for every and any couple, regardless of your style! You can literally transform the venue into any theme or level of elegance or casualness. For us it allowed us to create the perfect blend of fancy black tie optional meets laid back nature of a cool and casual party. We dressed up the decor and our guests dressed in NYE gowns and tuxes, but we let the brick walls, pizza, balloon drop and confetti make sure the environment didn't feel stiff or stuffy! That's the beauty of BRICK -- you have this amazing open space and can bring in just about any element you dream up! The BRICK team was so easy to work with. If a random question ever popped up into my head, it was super easy to shoot them an email and get a quick response. Yes there are a few headaches when it comes to having unlimited possibilities and no preset rental packages (with chairs, linens, tables, etc.) like most venues -- but it also means you don't get stuck with the boring or generic items that come with most basic packages or pay to upgrade your package to the style you want. The best is you have almost total control over your food! Again, you're not stuck with the venue's onsite kitchen or a short list of 2-3 vendors -- there's opportunity to literally bring your own flavor to your wedding! After our wedding we had a bit of a snafu with a vendor not adhering to their contract and picking up the trash from the night, so the BRICK team ended up walking into a total disaster zone. I felt (and still feel) terrible about the way we left the beautiful space, but I was really really happy with how flexible and understanding they were when alerting us. I never sensed there were any unusual upcharges or fees -- BRICK was honest and easy to work with. I highly recommend Brick, especially if you want a unique wedding where you can really put your own spin on things. At first, bringing in all vendors seemed like a daunting task but Lindsay was able to keep us organized and on track throughout the whole process. Brick was a terrific venue for our wedding. The staff were easy to communicate with - we always got prompt, friendly responses. We loved having flexibility in bringing in any vendor we wanted. We got to have our wedding as late as we wanted - we originally planned to go until 12:30am! Last, we loved our bar staff! They went the extra mile to make our guests feel welcomed. When getting a drink at my cocktail hour, one bartender explained to me how he always checks to see each guest's reaction to the drink after their first taste, to see if he's mixing them well. The brick building was beautiful, paired with candles, it led to an incredibly cozy vibe. The lawn out front was also a great space for a cocktail hour. I would throw an event here again! read more

My husband and I got married at BRICK in December of 2021 and had a great experience there. When we first inquired about the space, the venue manager mentioned eight other couples were interested in our date and for good reasons: the venue is beautiful, big, and open, which allows creative freedom to do as you please when planning. Unfortunately, like a lot of couples, we had to reschedule our wedding due to the pandemic. However, when it came to rescheduling our wedding date and contacting all our vendors, our coordinator at the time, Victoria, made it so easy and stress free. Fast forward to the end of 2021 when we were all clear to finally celebrate, both Victoria and Lindsay helped make our day go by extremely smooth and ultimately so fun! I came here for this modern love event, and also to check out the venue for my friends wedding. The vendors at this event went above and beyond boujee in such the best way possible. Everything was presented so nicely. The event had free drinks and snacks pretty much all day. The only downfall to this event space is there's only two restrooms in the building. If you plan on having a wedding or anything here I think you might need to rent restrooms to put outside (which they had a trailer for at the event) or even portapotties. I really liked the space and how they hung lights at the top. My friend told me if you want to hang anything or put gold tape on the floor it'll be extra (but maybe worth it?). There is plenty of parking, which is a good thing there's a main lot for this venue and also several other lots around in the area. Absolutely the worst acoustics I have ever experienced. Attended a wedding at this venue and the sound was so distorted by the bricks and cement floor that I could barely understand a word that was said. Owners really need to add some acoustic panels to the ceiling. Also the bathroom facilities were meager at best for the size of the venue. read more

I was treated very poorly and disrespected when trying to attend an open house event. I was turned away despite RSVP'ing to the event. The staff was unprofessional and rude. I was initially considering this venue for an event, but will no longer be considering this venue after the horrible customer service experience. Our November 14th wedding at BRICK was absolutely perfect! We wanted a chic Indian wedding that was unique and modern, while also maintaining all the traditional cultural components of an Indian wedding. BRICK's industrial look was perfect for this, and the fact that it's a blank slate venue allowed us to customize all the things we really cared about (mainly food!). Victoria and Lindsay were both very communicative during the entire process and responded to all our questions promptly. The location is wonderful - Liberty Station has tons of breweries, restaurants and shops, plus it's near the water. Many of our guests stayed at the nearby Courtyard Marriott and Homewood Suites in Liberty Station, both of which are very close and convenient for out of town guests. The length allows for different seating arrangements and stations. Last night there was a photo booth, dance floor and tons of seats for dining and a bar. There are two restrooms and a double door entrance and double door exit. There is even a center roll up garage style door which works well for easy access. I feel the venue would benefit with a second level or open air loft to give people another view of the floor and layout. The food was great and very filling. My sister got married here this past Sunday, October 17th, and it was wonderful! Victoria LaHood was the wedding planner, who is also associated with the venue and was so so helpful! Day of she was hands on the entire time and made the wedding go so smoothly! We had plenty of room for 135 guests and honestly could've fit so much more! It is a cute industrial look, with plenty of space, everyone enjoyed themselves! We had done the ceremony inside and then moved to the side grass area (plenty of room) for cocktail hour while the team transformed the room into the reception- which took no time at all! The wedding planner gave us all of the vendors that normally do weddings at the Brick, along with other companies, and made the planning so much easier! The only issues we encountered are: the planes flying over being loud (wasn't terrible at all though), only having two restrooms, and not having a private area for the bride. read more

BRICK was an AMAZING venue! It is the perfect space for a rustic, industrial, warehouse-style wedding that provides gorgeous market lighting and lots of air flow inside as well as a spacious lawn for cocktail hour and large parking lot for food truck vendors. This venue is a blank slate, so you are able to completely design your wedding with any vendors you choose and any decor you choose. The only vendor you are not able to bring in is a bar service, however the bar you use is in-house and the bartenders are AWESOME! My husband and I had signature cocktails that they totally nailed and did the BYOB package so we could take the alcohol back home with us. Having the venue for 24 hours was the BEST part! We were able to go into the venue at 10am on the day of the wedding to start decorating and had the venue until 10am the next day so we could go back the next day to cleanup. Lastly, most of the employees are so accommodating and helpful! While the bar manager at our wedding was tacky and unprofessional when my parents took tips around to the vendors, the bartenders were awesome and Victoria and Lindsay were extremely helpful from the moment my husband and I decided to book BRICK until after the wedding happened. 10/10 would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an amazing venue all around!! read more

Our wedding at BRICK was everything we could have dreamed of and more. The venue is a beautiful blank canvas that was easily transformed, we could bring to life our vision of what we wanted our wedding to be. The beautiful interior, location, being able to bring in your own vendors with so many customization options - all while keeping the party going past midnight with a 24-hour rental (something that we had a hard time finding in SD) - were just a few of the perks that drew us to BRICK. The preferred vendors were an added bonus - all of our vendors had previously worked with BRICK, with the exception of our photographer, which made the process so smooth. Every single vendor we used exceeded our expectations and made our day so special (ArtQuest Catering, Tiny Victories for floral, Jenny Wenny Cakes for our amazing cake/dessert bar, Cedar & Pine for rentals, DJ Artform). But most importantly we are so grateful for our amazing coordinator, Mallory Garcia, and the Brick Beverage staff. The location was fantastic, super close to many hotels for my guests to choose from, and the proximity to the airport made it convenient for guests who were flying in (our hotel a 6 minutes drive from the airport and a 3 minute drive to Brick). I was worried that the plane noise would be a distraction on the day, but it wasn't at all. Our guests got used to the sound quickly and once the reception started and the roll up door was closed, I didn't even notice it. We were on the fence about adding the month-of coordination to our package and are SO GLAD we did. Cassidy was an absolute dream to work with and I truly don't know how we would have a managed the day with her. She handled all of the details with vendors leading up to the day, created extremely detailed schedules, and made me feel so so at ease. When I started stressing about the dance floor vibe later in the night, she jumped into action to course correct. Everyone in my family was extremely complementary of the entire Brick staff. I am disappointed in the professionalism of your staff. After driving from Escondido to your Winter Open House event, we were informed it was a closed event for booked clients only. My friend was turned away rudely prior to our arrival as well. We had tickets and had not been informed of this policy change. Instead of responding politely to my comment (as well as a few others) on Instagram, your staff deleted our comments and the entire post. I expected more from this venue as I have gone to multiple paid events here and had considered booking my wedding at Brick. Please improve your marketing and customer service! Came here for a wedding reception soon after a ceremony just a few blocks away at the North Chapel. Big space with high ceilings and obvious brick walls. As mentioned in other reviews, this place only has 2 restrooms. Thankfully, they're unisex. I thought it was hilarious that people still lined up as if they weren't. Fortunately, extra portable restroom units were brought there. So, for the standing users like myself, there was no wait. I'm going to admit that most of the details about this place are unknown to me, as I was simply enjoying the occasion of 2 of my good friends get married. Previously, the event host had the ability to bring in any beverage or bartending service that they wanted - as long as the correct permits were secured. My clients were slightly disappointed at first that they did not have the freedom to choose their own vendor BUT Brick Beverage and Bri just hit it out of the park!! Bri was so accommodating and flexible with the needs of the client and it was a relief for me as the coordinator to work with a team that was professional and familiar with the space. No you don't get to choose your own bar service anymore BUT at least the one you have to use is AWESOME!! read more

This is a lovely "blank canvas" venue with some great perks. You can bring in your own vendors, alcohol, etc. and there is no curfew. But beware, there are extra charges for EVERYTHING, and unless you take the plunge and hire them to coordinate your event, you will not get great service. There were several mistakes made - first one was that we reserved the venue for 24 hrs (paid for it), but at our first virtual meeting, I was told I had only reserved it for 12 hours. The whole meeting was then based on a 12 hour rental, until a couple days later when I provided them with a copy of my original contract proving that I had paid for 24 hrs. Day of the wedding we show up at 10am to start decorating and they are GIVING TOURS to other interested parties! I PAID FOR AND RESERVED THIS SPACE FOR THIS TIME!! How awful to be trying to set up and decorate for a wedding with other random groups touring the facility - unreal. Probably the biggest mess up of the night was that we had arranged to do a champagne tower/pour instead of a cake cutting (we did not do a cake at all). Part way through the dancing, we looked around and realized that everyone had champagne and the staff member was telling the DJ to prepare everyone for the speeches. The staff had gotten my daughter (bride) and the groom and just had them do the pour without any announcement or anything, so NO ONE saw it. Everyone was asking when it happened and how they missed it. The bar staff missed the mark on that one - I was crushed. One important thing to note is that we used their recommended vendors for catering, DJ, Limo and additional restrooms and they did not disappoint one bit! I would not use this venue again but will use and/or recommend any of the vendors without hesitation! read more

Went to the WID Symposium here today and was a fan of the space. This was the first time I was at this venue for something other than a wedding and it was nice to see the bare, openness. Now it makes sense why so many brides love this space. It has two access doors, a "main" entry door and a "back" door. The space also only has two bathrooms... considering I believe (don't quote me on this) the maximum occupancy is 400, it seems silly to not have more restrooms. HOWEVER, pro tip, if Liberty Public Market is still open, then there usually is no wait for that bathroom. That's the other perk of this location... it's right in Liberty Station, walking distance to Liberty Public Market, Con Pane, Luna Grill... tons of food options! read more

Brick is located caddy corner to Public Market. I attended the Chew The Scene event for Pacific Arts Movement where we were able to sample food and watch some movie previews. Ample parking which was awesome and walking distance to public market. Entered Brick and it was beautifully decorated. The lights and space were ample for the amount of guests PAC Arts expected. Didn't seem crowded and it was enough room for chairs, tables and belly bars. There were only 2 bathrooms inside which were often preoccupied but there were the nice port o potties outside. Choosing Brick for my venue was one of the best decision I made for the wedding. The place itself is literally a blank canvas, so anyone can do anything they imagine with the space. It has ample parking, so your guests won't need any valet. It also is good for 24 hrs, so technically you won't have to clean up right after the wedding, which is awesome! The other thing we really enjoyed about Brick is their coordinator program. We got assigned Ingrid, and without her, the wedding wouldn't have been as perfect as it was. From the start, Brick was amazing. My wife and I had two weddings here. I'll explain how but first, something you might be familiar with. We went to another venue. They said this: - Rule 1: all guests must leave right at 11:00pm. - Rule 2: all guests must park across the street and be shuttled in, if they don't leave by 11:30pm, their cars will likely be towed. - Rule 3: you must use our approved catering companies. - Rule 4: If you want this arrangement, you'll have to pay $x. - Rules 5-100: I forgot. These were given to us was 5 minutes into meeting the event coordinator. Spitting out rules before we even really saw their venue. That coordinator also had the attitude of a used-car salesman... pushy, cheesy one-liner-dad-jokes, and assuming that their venue "was the best thing on earth." Brick was the opposite. We walked in, their staff was super friendly and accommodating from the start. My wife and I felt like we were borrowing a friend's place to host an event; totally unassuming and just wanted to help us achieve what we wanted. Brick is a very cool large building. The pictures online (instagram and their website) really show how versatile it can be. So we really didn't need to look around inside the actual venue for very long. It was exactly the vibe we wanted. The staff just sealed the deal. Initially, we thought we could coordinate everything ourselves. We quickly realized we were wrong. It's probably cliche to say, but there are so many little details that arise while picking a venue and executing on an event. Brick's coordination team was absolutely worth it (3x over). My mother-in-law ended up doing almost all of the decor. She hand spun thousands of feed of macrame, designed the tables, and found awesome little pieces to really make the thing look great. My then fiancée, now wife, just made the final decisions on each piece. It's easy to write that in a paragraph but it was a ton of work for both of them. Brick's team, mostly Ingrid, helped make these decisions as well. Further, they were the ones that would actually put these together on our big day. They were going to do the actual decorating once we decided on what we needed. The big day came and ... I had an appendicitis. Not kidding. At 4:30am of my wedding day, I was in the ER wondering if I'll get out in time to make my wedding. I didn't. Since we were mostly in the dark with the hospital, My wife and I decided to proceed with the day as normal as possible. After all, loved ones were in town and the event was paid for. There didn't end up being a ceremony but there was a party celebrating our love, friends, and family. Brick, Ingrid and her coordination team were incredibly professional and handled the situation wonderfully. Fortunately, the surgery went so smoothly and I was able to make the end of the event. Not long after the event ended we heard from Ingrid and Brick. They offered to host another wedding for us and I mean really host our "round 2" wedding. Round 2 was literally no work for my wife, myself, or our families. All we really had to do was show up. My wife and I decided to be involved as little as possible in the decisions to instead focus on enjoying the day together. Brick did an amazing job. They provided everything and even found us an amazing photographer, amazing Mexican food (by request), solid DJ, tasty cocktails, and pretty dessert. They hosted a surprise-decor wedding complete with a lot of personal touches everywhere. We had our wedding and reception right in the venue, had a cocktail hour, dancing, delicious food, and overall just an amazing time. If I were to do another event of any kind, I'd try and convince Brick to coordinate it for me! Seriously, couldn't be happy enough with their coordination. The venue is awesome too. Attended a wedding here recently and it was a good time. The aesthetic and feel is definitely moldable to your taste-- I didn't quite get an industrial feeling from the space.. more like shabby chic. You definitely have to dress up the place a bit so it won't feel too big and empty, especially if your party isn't huge. The wedding we went to had 250+ people and that was just enough to take up most room. My complaint is that there are only two restrooms so during the party there was lines upward of 15 people while formalities, dinner, etc. was going on. They should require a portable potty rental for parties of 75 or larger.. or remodel to include more restrooms. The men luckily used a construction portable potty across the street which alleviated lines a bit. read more

First off, we have to say that the event staff, Christina and Chantal were amazing to work with! The detail that these two put into making sure everything went well was second to none. Secondly, the venue itself is kept beautiful and the team at BRICK makes each group coming in feel like they are the only ones. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking to do weddings, parties or corporate events! There is so much space and the options are limitless with how you want to decorate everything. They make it easy for you to understand how everything works and go step by step with you along the way to make sure you have everything that is needed. There are so many great things to say about booking events with Brick! I can be long winded so I'll try to keep it short and sweet- the team is super inviting and friendly which makes the planning process a lot easier when you need to reach out for some advice or help with your event. My husband and I had just had a baby and decided to pay for their wedding planner Lindsay to help. Best idea ever!! Lindsay is the best. I couldn't have pulled it all together without her and her assistant. Being a creative it's hard to let go and go hands free but Lindsay did such an incredible job with all the contracts, emails, cancellations, decorations, and mostly keeping me organized. The venue is beautiful and location is awesome with the market right across the street. My guests loved it! Definitely book the front lawn for your guests for cocktail hour. The bar information can get a little weird- i.e rules about shots and what will be served as far as doubles etc so just go over that with the bar manager. While I had my wedding here I think the space is great for any event you might be having. 10/10 book Brick ! read more

I just had a wedding here on 11.8.18, and it was the best time of my life. I am so glad I booked this venue. Victoria LaHood was my Cordinator and she was extremely calm about everything! She let me know about one item I over looked on my big day and she didn't make a big dig about it and told me she wasn't worried, which made me calm and made me enjoy the rest of my night. She did an awesome Job of putting my dream wedding togetherEveryone loved the location. And If I had to do it all over again I would book with them again and only with Victoria. read more
