    Mini Churros

Had no idea this is a dedicated Eagles bar, but thank goodness we weren't rooting for the opposition when we wandered into this space full of kelly green and organized rounds of "Fly, Eagles Fly!" at every commercial break! Note: the loyalty is so strong that despite multiple TVs, NO OTHER GAME will be shown when Philadelphia is playing. While awesome for the fandom, it's not ideal for a neutral observer. Order at the bar, and your food will be brought to your table when it's ready. As you might expect, Philly cheesesteaks are the right call here - our Aristocrat Cheesesteak (rib eye steak, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, provolone cheese, served on an Amoroso roll) was hearty enough to split in two since we were only snacking rather than looking for a full meal, and very tasty. Unfortunately, our Mini Churros were served without the advertised cajeta (Mexican-style caramel) with no explanation. It was only when we ourselves brought it up that we were then told the kitchen was out. To Goodbar's credit, they did remove the churros from our bill as we wouldn't have ordered them had we known beforehand.

I had just finished attending an event, and they had these little appetizers. I didn't want to gorge myself because than people would talk...LOL! So I was still hungry, and since I was in the area, my first thought was the Goodbar Kitchen! I was lucky to get a space in their shared parking lot. I ordered the Goodburger with bacon, and it came with fries. This is a good burger! It really hit the spot! Friendly service! So glad there are places like this to grab some good food!

This is a good cheap option in the area especially during happy hour. The food is just okay, but good for a happy hour price of less than ten dollars. The service was good and helpful. It's a good bar for live music, trivia and catching a game.

Went here for the ASU Baylor game... WHAT A NIGHT!!! We used to go to The Local downtown to watch ASU but wanted to go somewhere more cost effective and are incredibly happy for that decision. Awesome friendly and fun bartender, we got there right before kickoff and he immediately turned the volume on. We sat at the bar and more fans started to trickle in. During halftime we went over to a table of fans and started chatting.. turns out one of the guys is an ASU legend!!!!! He made the game winning interception against Harbaugh in the 1987 rose bowl, is really nice, and let me wear his ring and take pictures! I guess that's not a direct review of Goodbar but it speaks to the crowd they attract. The ambiance is great, you can order food at the bar and their food truck is just outside. It's also an Eagles bar so if you're an Eagles fan this is the spot.

Burger was sooo good! Its also on their happy hour menu and comes with fries!

I actually really like this bar. Was my first time here. Place is small but quaint. I will say that Britney was a sweetheart. She's a good bartender. Service was good, food was very good. Just great place and great bar overall! They have a really good happy hour. If you're outside and you go up to the food truck and you're attempting to order food thats on their happy hour menu you won't get the same price as if you order inside when you do the happy hour options for food. Just a word of advice. Parking is the only I'd day that is going to be a small pain. But this place is worth visiting.

TL;DR: inattentive and understaffed. Servers tried their best but couldn't keep up with the dinner rush. Was budgeting an hour for our meal. Ended up staying for 2.5 because we couldn't get food fast enough Took 30 min just to get our order in and because of that, we missed the end of happy hour. Really disappointing how service isn't staffed accordingly. The food is above average for a food truck/parking lot kitchen...which isn't saying too much. Ordered: - Goodbar burger (2.5/5): average. Nothing special - Chicken burger (4/5): caught off guard by this one. Far better than the regular burger. Good deals on drinks if you can catch the waitstaff before HH ends... Anyway, might be back for the drinks and to hang with locals and listen to live band. Won't be back for the food or service.

Welcome to good burger, home of the good burger, can I take your order?? Throwback to my 90s people. All joking aside, my wife took me here for a Yelp event, so I wanted to try their burger for myself. This little bar in Point Loma has a very small parking lot that it shares with a few other stores. Good luck finding parking! We came here around 2pm on a weekday and there was plenty of seating. Around 10 seats at the bar and maybe 10 small tables. The bartender/waitress seated us and took our orders. She was very friendly and checked on us regularly. They have a happy hour menu but it's only from 12-6p for beers and 2-6pm for food. They don't have a kitchen inside the bar, just a bar and bathroom. They do their cooking outside via a food truck. Food came out quickly, but we were only 2 of 7 people in the place. The burger was a little too charred, but overall it was tasty. It wasn't a great burger, but it was definitely a good one. The fries were a mix of soggy and crispy. For the price we paid, I can't complain. It's definitely a good burger for the price. I would recommend this place.

Food Don't seek yourself short, Good Bar, you are a great bar! The food was delicious for a bar. The burger was juicy and cooked to medium rare, how I prefer. The cheesesteak was packed with meat that it masked the onions! The fries were well seasoned and crispy. No complaints here. The best part is their happy hour! It goes on from 12p-6p, even on weekends. The Pilsner was strong for what it is but still smooth. I'd say the draft menu was small though and majority pale ales. The well drinks were great as well! Service Bartender was very welcoming and nice. She greeted up promptly and had our drinks out quick! She even checked up on us to see if we needed any refills and to pick up our empty plates! Atmosphere Quaint corner spot in Point Loma. Chill vibes, even during Saturday happy hour. Clean tables, plenty of different games going on the television. Music is not too loud. They host events like trivia and karaoke.

Cool bar away from the hustle and bustle of Liberty Square. The service is friendly and quick. You can sit at the bar in the back where a lot of locals do. There are also bar tops and table seating. The stage is small and they offer a variety of entertainment. When we went, there wasn't a cover charge. We ordered the hamburger and it was really good. The kitchen is a food truck in the parking lot, but you order through your wait staff and it is delivered to your table. It's located in a small strip mall with parking. It lives up to its name - a good bar!

Stopped by on a weekday early evening... honestly didn't realize it was an actual bar n it was getting pretty busy inside lol, we just came for the food! Haha. The food truck is situated right in front of the bar, and there are several tables outside. Obviously very casual dining. We ordered at the truck window and our food was ready in about 15 minutes. We were seated at one of the tables and they were nice enough to go out of the way to bring the food and condiments out to us. Overall the food was good, fresh, and filling. Amongst other things, I ordered a salad and it was plated so nicely! Hmm what more can I say about the food? The chicken strips were large pcs and juicy. Fries were seasoned well and crispy. Wings were typical.. burger/philly were satisfying. Limited parking.

Gotta love a good happy hour special. Goodbar has got my number with their $8 burger and fries special. That burger is Hella good and an excellent value, especially considering the area. The place has a fun vibe, seems like they have live music a lot of nights of the week. We've only been there during twice during happy hour, so the music was just getting started. The draft beer selection leaves a little something to be desired. It's just not really my taste. I do enjoy the Bay City blonde that they have on tap though.

We were sitting against the window at the high top wraparound bar tables (feels like an extension of the bar), so the bar is easy to order from and was our go to as soon as we arrived. Our bartender Mike was great, and may Mai Thai ($14) defiantly did what it needed to do. It was sweet, strong and served with the cutest bear-shaped glass with a beautiful purple flower on top. One drink had a girl feeling tipsy. We ordered from the late-night "midnight Bites" menu, which was the only thing we could choose from at the hour of our visit. Everything we selected was really good. Wed got the Frito Pie ($12), Chicken thigh tenders ($7), and Tots ($7). The frito pie presentation was my second favorite part (after the bear glass drink), It came in a all-clad style bowl with the chip bag cut open inside, loaded with Texas-style chilli, melted nacho cheese, and shredded cheese. It was so good I even started adding tots in there too. The tots and Thigh tenders had the perfect crisp! They have sweet and sour chili sauce for dipping with the chicken which was fab! The retro decor made the place even better. I loved seeing the old Blockbuster VHS tapes and music cassettes displayed around the bar. My little eye also spot the Dallas Cowboys flag! Texas energy is definitely in the house. There's also a small arcade area in the back, and my eyes instantly lit up seeing PAC-Man. We didn't get to fully explore the game room because we were trying to make it to Ghirardelli Ice cream & Chocolate shop for dessert before they closed at midnight too. Thankfully everything worked out perfectly since our car was parked right in front of Ghirardelli. NO military discount was honored here even though the owner is a veteran, but overall I still had a really good experience and would definitely come back whenever I'm in the Gaslamp district in SD, Cali. When I entered the restaurant around 7:00 PM, I was stopped and questioned extensively by security regarding my service animal. Rather than being asked the limited ADA-compliant questions permitted by law, the interaction became prolonged and uncomfortable while staff repeatedly attempted to determine whether my dog was a "real" service animal or simply an emotional support animal. I remained waiting at the entrance while this was repeatedly discussed back and forth. What made the situation especially humiliating was that another patron openly laughed at me during the interaction while walking outside for a cigarette. I later realized this same patron had her own dog inside the establishment in a stroller the entire time. Staff members appeared very familiar and comfortable with her, and multiple employees, including my waitress- referred to her as a "regular." Although her dog was eventually moved to the patio area, the contrast in how the situations were handled made me feel singled out, embarrassed, and unfairly scrutinized. I later spoke with management in hopes of resolving the matter respectfully. During that conversation, I was surprised and concerned to hear that neither management nor staff were familiar with psychiatric service animals or their protections under the ADA. Psychiatric service animals are legally recognized service animals when trained to perform disability-related tasks, and this lack of awareness was deeply concerning, especially in a city like San Diego with a large disabled and veteran community. I fully understand that businesses are allowed to ask limited ADA-compliant questions regarding service animals, and I also understand that many establishments have dealt with individuals falsely claiming pets as service animals. However, there is a significant difference between appropriately verifying a service animal and making a disabled customer feel publicly interrogated and humiliated. The overall handling of this interaction lacked professionalism, sensitivity, and basic understanding of ADA service animal protections. No customer should feel mocked, scrutinized, or publicly embarrassed simply for entering a restaurant with a legitimate service animal. I sincerely hope this situation can serve as an opportunity for additional ADA education and proper service animal training for staff moving forward so that other disabled guests do not experience similar treatment. I would appreciate being informed of any steps the restaurant intends to take regarding ADA compliance and staff training before I determine how I would like to proceed further. Thank you for your time and attention.

The menu features a delightful array of options, including fresh salads, tantalizing finger foods, and, of course, their famed burgers. My wife's enthusiasm for the offerings has always been infectious, and during this visit, she and her girlfriend were on a culinary adventure of their own, indulging in the flavors that have made Nicky Rottens a local favorite. The burgers are truly out of this world--juicy, flavorful, and expertly crafted to ensure a warp-speed experience with every bite. You'll find that each dish is prepared with precision, as if overseen by a skilled chef with the abilities of a Vulcan and the passion of a true culinary Starfleet officer. In conclusion, Nicky Rottens is a prime destination for anyone seeking a vibrant atmosphere, stunning views, and a solid meal. I can confidently say that if you ever find yourself in Coronado, this establishment is a must-visit. After all, it's just one small step for man, and one giant leap into deliciousness! Got a paloma and the flavor was more intense than I expected, but it was pretty good…read more Tater tots are nice and crispy, great texture. Aside from that, they're generic normal tasting tater tots. For the burger, I liked the bun and other ingredients, but thought the savoriness of the meat was just okay. Also, can't say I'm a huge fan of the tiny lettuce whenever I see it. Overall, this joint is not bad, but I can think of very little about it that stands out. I don't feel that it fully leans into being a sports bar or dive bar or even as a burger joint. It's just.....a bar. Apparently, it prides itself as being an original coronado spot, but I didn't get that kinda vibe here. I don't know.
