Then we got a snack from the snack bar and she made him go eat by himself in the grass section behind the pool "because of ants". My family is visiting from out of town, we are members of a pool at home and regularly go to the grandparents lake house. On Saturday my son was swimming from float to float by himself at the lake! My son is also on the swim team! I was completely fine with how he was swimming, he was with his uncle who is an adult, and there was almost no one at the pool! The manager embarrassed my son, crushed his confidence, and took the opportunity to override my judgement as a parent, saying she would not allow him to use 7/8 of the pool without a life jacket. She never asked me any questions and she never came and spoke to me, she just had another lifeguard tell me what she had decided. Absolutely disappointing. She should have expressed her concern or fear to me, discussed it with me, and asked me about his history with swimming, and then let me decide. Would I really let my son "actively drown"? Absolutely ridiculous.How she handled it was immature and cowardly and has affected our overall stay (we were going to go to the pool every afternoon).

They have enough to accommodate buses. The grounds are well maintained. They have pavilions that you can reserve for large groups and picnic tables available on a first come first serve basis. One you arrive and check in a employee with come out to brief your group. They will pass out your tickets for your time slot. Definitely reserve your time slot online and fill out the waiver prior to coming. After check in you will get a safety briefing then go through the practice course. After that you are free to explore the course. They have many different levels from easy to extra challenging. Very fun time had by all. The zip lines were amazing and it also teaches kids a lifelong lesson. It's OK to have fears. It's just about being able to overcome them, different and abilities may be different too. i'm truly glad I've had the experience. I want to say, thank you for the gentleman on the yellow course that assisted my son along with his classmate and believing in themselves and showing them that they could do it. I watch the showman talk to my son about being afraid of the height and that he could do it and provided breathing techniques to assist him. It's nice to know that there are individuals at the establishment that go above and beyond to help out students kids and even adults. I will be back to the establishment to help build more confidence.

The facility is cleanly, with comfortable adult seating, a coloring table, and even a child-sized bathroom that made potty breaks and handwashing easy for my son. Their "Yuck Bucket" policy is reassuring, where any toy that ends up in a child's mouth is put by parents or caregivers for staff to sanitizing and shows how seriously they take cleanliness. Before each play session ends, they give a 10-minute warning and encourage the children to help clean up, teaching responsibility and teamwork in such a positive way. Grasshopper Grove also offers fantastic summer camps and Kindermusik classes, a research-based program that combines music, movement, stories, instruments, and play to support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. I remember I got a couple of free coupons from Wawa. I had a date that afternoon, and she met me here; she lived in Frederick. We walked around the beautiful park. Perhaps, there could be some more shade as it was lots of open space, but there were areas with trees close to Carroll Creek. Trails connect to the downtown Carroll Creek Park for an easy walk, which we walked to there on our date. This is a solid park with some amentities.

They don't do competitions, they do several full-scale semi-professional performances each year, and not all of the students will be included in them. But if the student works hard, she will almost certainly be in the next one. I can't recommend this place enough, but it's not for everyone. It helped my daughter learn to stand up for herself, helped teach her that not everyone gets an award just for showing up, and taught her physical skills that will be with her for life. If you like traditional values, and want your daughter to learn classical ballet, try this studio.
