I love this place, especially nice to have complimentary buffet breakfast while staying at the LEGOLAND Hotels. The usuals daily will be staples like bacon, sausage links/patties, tater tots, pastries, cereal, fruits, and some veggies. Then on days they swap waffles and pancakes, and hot meal swaps Mexican, corn beef, and ham sandwiches. I love when it's Mexican mornings, check out my pictures; haha. The staff is always so friendly and smiling. Highly suggest you make your full reservations before your trip, so at least you have your times. They can get super busy on weekends and holidays. If you're staying at the hotel, this is the breakfast provided! Be sure to make a reservation as lines can get pretty long. The breakfast is super convenient and I love that it has tons of options, including a kid buffet area that's low enough for kids to reach, see and serve themselves. It can get a little hectic with kiddos walking around, following harried/tired parents, but it's overall well-managed and clean. There's something for everyone--everything from hot food (eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, even veggies), oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, etc. There's plenty of coffee (good news for all the parents) as well as milk, juice and hot water with teabags nearby. The staff are all great here--once you check in, staff ask if there are any allergies they need to be aware of. As expected with a restaurant like this, spills are pretty frequent but they're quick to clean. Extra shoutout to Daniel--my kiddo dropped tater tots and had a meltdown in the middle of the restaurant. The buffet breakfast is included in the castle hotel lodging package . It is really convenient for morning early park access. And you need to make reservation before coming. It is part of the original Lego hotel, the decoration looks the same as couple years ago with other Yelpers posted. It is a little outdated but still neat and clean enough to enjoy. Lego land restaurant. Pretty busy. A lot going on but pleasantly surprised how organized everything was. We had 8:30am reservations and the reservation line was a lot shorter than the walk in line. That alone was a plus. The kids were excited to serve themselves because it was their height stations. Food was good. Nothing special. The restaurant was a bit noisy but we didn't expect anything less because I had two kids under 7 with me that helped contribute to the noise. Came to Legoland with my family. Bricks Family Restaurant. Had the breakfast buffet on a busy day. Even with reservations we waited about 8 minutes--not bad at all. Food was decent for cafeteria-style. The bacon looked plasticky and tasted plasticky. Sausages were good. Roasted potatoes looked promising but needed more flavor. Thankfully, the salsa actually had good flavor and helped save a few items. Plenty of options overall, and as someone with a severe egg allergy, it mostly worked for me. My only concern is cross-contamination: I saw kids using the same utensils for foods next to the eggs, so I stayed away from those. They also had fruit, which was a safe plus. read more

The buffet is a joke. The variety is pitiful and most of the proteins were dried out. The "stations" had so little variety that it was basically one entree station with two meats to build a taco, one broccoli beef, one teriyaki salmon, and a carving station with well done tri-tip and pork tenderloin. Kids station wasn't much better: dried out fried chicken tenders and cardboard pizza. The employees were just standing around and not bussing the tables. AYCE breakfast buffet at LEGOland Hotel. What you don't really know is... you need to make a reservation to dine in. It's included if you book a stay at the hotel. So it's worth a visit since you already paid for it. It has a decent variety that will satisfy the little ones. Staff do their best to clean and refill items but from my perspective they couldn't keep up. There was just so much going on inside especially with the little ones running around and making messes. I do love that there's a small section dedicated to the little ones where they can actually reach for the items themselves like muffins and fruits. Honestly surprised at how good the food was at the Legoland resort. Usually at these locations they don't care about food quality since we're going wether the food is good or not. Breakfast is included when you stay at the hotel and it was delicious. We made reservations every morning to make sure we got the front of the line but we really didn't need them. We got sat right away every single day. There was a lot of food options from cereal, to biscuits and gravy. I loved that there was something for everyone. When you have kids and a picky husband it's hard for us to have something to eat at one location every day. I don't think I'll be back at Legoland for sometime (my kids are getting too old) but I would definitely recommend staying at the hotel and eating at Bricks. read more

But again, I can say this and compare to Disney park hotels, and I would like to compare the Legoland hotel to that and due to the fact that per night stay is comparable to Disney properties, so expectations is up. Our family dined here for breakfast since it came with our weekend reservation. You have your typical buffet for breakfast items both hot and cold. Great options to choose from with a variety for adults and kids alike. We made reservations in advance which you are required to. We didn't make reservations one time but our party was still accommodated. Make your reservations early if you decide to take advantage of the early entry for hotel guests. The foods are the same as Dragons Den for breakfast. You have waffles, pancakes, fruit, tater tots - for the kids. Then you have adult options like scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, bagels, yogurt, etc. Try to go before 8am to beat the crowds. We also dined here for dinner. They served the same dinner for the 2 nights we stayed which was disappointing. It's a pretty expensive meal for $20per kid since kids don't tend ti eat $20 worth of food. They did have chicken pieces, pizza, and Mac and cheese that my kids enjoyed. For adults, there was a variety of sliced meats and cultural food like Mexican and Asian. The Asian food was not good unfortunately, but I did enjoy specific items like the pork belly and sliced tri tip. There is desserts, fountain drinks, and coffee available as well. It's about $40pp which is what you would expect to pay at dragons den for their entrees and drinks. But at least you get more options. read more

My husband was quite pleased with the selection of bacon and sausage. The brisket was so good. I think it's a steal that it's included with the hotel visit. It's right by the entry when you get to go an hour early as a guest. Bricks is located at the Legoland hotel just outside of Legoland. Our first visit to Legoland we couldn't get a reservation so I recommend to book on Open Table or contact them directly. We got lost when we visited- bricks is adjacent to the main entrance side door. So if you walk in and see Mini Cafe, turn around, go back out and hang a right to the host stand outside. This is a buffet so it is 100% self service. Drinks and food. The food was so-so. Nothing struck me as special but it was a nice way to top off a long day at Legoland. That honestly is a 3 star visit.... But... There's character appearances. They take pictures and interact with the kids. I found particularly special was we noticed someone who was very excited about the characters. Instead of being irritated she was hanging out with the characters the whole time they took special care and interacted with her anytime no one was up getting pictures. It was sweet and takes a special staff to make that type of magical experience for a guest. Bathrooms were cleaned, we left bellies full and had a great time looking around the hotel on our way out. read more

I had been to Bricks for dinner before, about six years ago and the experience was totally different. This time, it just felt downscale. When we were shown to our table, it was covered in crumbs. When I asked a busser if we could have a new table or it could be cleaned, he cleaned it but my son saw him shake his head as he walked away. Wow. A horrible first impression. Also, it doesn't appear as if anyone busses your plates when you finish something, until you've already left, or you can bus them yourself. Despite busses walking by my table multiple times. One busser, right behind my son, spilled some chocolate milk on the table and audibly exclaimed, "F%&k!" Which of course, my son heard. THIS IS LEGOLAND, folks. One of the soda machines was out of order so the line to get drinks was quite long at times. The Caesar salad was overdressed, most of the meats were dried out and/or underseasoned (tri tip, chicken, etc). Where the desserts used to be special, half of them are just sheet cakes. For $30 a person, that felt wrong. The ice cream machine and the Dole Whip machine are no longer. The kids' buffet items were no better: the pizza was cardboard like, the tater tots were over fried, etc. We just ended up taking things, trying them, and not really eating them. The shrimp in the Asian section was one of the few standouts. The "carne asada" was not bad too. Won't be returning. read more

To list a few of my favorite: green sauce chilaquiles, sautéed veggies/peppers, cheese spinach omelette, biscuits and gravy, and the pork carnitas were all outstanding. Compared to the Disney Cali's storytellers cafe, this place is much better quality and well worth the price!!! $18 for adults and $13 for children 3-8 yo. Under 3 is free! There's a cute little kids buffet too which is lower height and has all the kids favorites (waffles, chocolate chip pancakes, etc) A small detail that I truly appreciated was that they had super strong coffee with to-go containers!!! Us adults really appreciate that The restaurant is located inside the Legoland Hotel (opposite the Legoland Castle). The Legoland resort is BEAUTIFUL so getting to visit the hotel while getting brunch was an added bonus. My toddler fully enjoyed playing in the lobby before and after breakfast. Added this dinner to our stay and it wasn't great. Every plate, cup, and utensil we picked up was dirty! My husbands fork was covered in a goo and he didn't realize until he was using it. The food options were in small amount. My husband only ate one plate and he's a big man. My kids liked the chicken fingers and brownies. Service was awful too. Not one plate was taken from our table our whole time. It was also my daughter's bday and they sang to three other tables and not her. She was pretty disappointed. We were happily surprised with the Brick's restaurant! I thought since it was buffet style and so kid centred the food wouldn't be very good. But they had a good assortment of healthy and not so healthy foods, and the lowered buffet for the kids was awesome. They really enjoyed serving themselves. The biscuits and gravy for breakfast was awesome. And the chimichurri steak and garlic mashed potatoes for dinner were really good. Wasn't totally thrilled with the desserts, but everything else was excellent. Maybe they could get a soft serve machine in there? That would be the cherry on top of the ice cream sundae. It was great that they had options outside of American cuisine. My favorite was the char siu pork belly. Also enjoyed the grilled flank steak with chimichurri. The lemon bar wasn't bad either. Wait on a fresh pizza. I don't think they remove older pizza because we tried one that was sitting out vs one that just came out and there was a difference. We love Bricks and the buffet that they have for kiddos. The center buffet counter is smaller for kiddos to get their own food and everything on it is safe for our kids with egg and nut allergies. Which is pretty rare. It's awesome for them to get what they want without having to ask, is this safe?? The service here is hit or miss. Hostess can sometimes have an attitude to customers who are in line to pay and be seated. Which is not a good position to be in when you act like that. Sometimes the plates pile up on our table and sometimes our plates get cleared right as we finish them. There are days where we have excellent service too. Food here isn't the best but it's dependable. Carving station, veggies, salad, Mexican food, Asian food and American. Tater tots and Mac and cheese are always good. We have our annual pass so gives us a discount as well. You don't have to pay for parking when you come after 5pm. The gate stands are always up because the park is already closed (winter hours). The posted hours aren't always correct and sometimes don't pick up when you call to ask if they're open. It's actually very hard to get someone on the phone when you call the hotel. We sometimes just go and hope for the best and have plan B if they are closed. read more
