While at Legoland with my family we decided to eat lunch here. We ordered a few things and shared. An elote hot dog Which was good, the Caesar salad was disappointing cause the lettuce was soggy. There are so many places to dine at in an amusement park but my mom wanted ribs so we stopped here. Even though it was late afternoon, there were a lot of families dining so while we looked for a shaded table, I spoke to a couple families who were sitting near us and asked one man what he got. Everyone I talked to had great things to say about this restaurant and gave us some recommendations of what to get. After looking at the menu, we decided to get 2 plates: Smoked Haven (includes the Brisket, Pulled Pork & Ribs) and The Smokehouse (Brisket and Hot link). So this place is pretty typical of quick service but also like a cafeteria where you get your tray, put all your dishes on it and then pay. I got talking to a lady in line behind me and she shared that this is her family's favorite place to eat and they always dine here when they come to the park. So I was pretty happy with my mom's craving for ribs. As a treat, I also got each of us a biscuit, cause they looked yummy, even though the dish included sweet bread rolls. I think I was just hungry cause I wanted everything! I did good though and passed up fries (which is my favorite), and the desserts which all looked delectable. At the end of the serving line there was a giant jar of pickles that looked like they were in chili pepper water. I love pickles so I took some after learning they were available at no extra charge. I may or may not have had 3 little boats of pickles... Outside of the building there was a hand washing sink which I thought was a great design feature and next to the sink was the bar with the sauces and ketchup and mustard. I really enjoyed both BBQ sauces - Carolina and Smokey one. I don't remember the exact name cause I forgot to write it down or take a photo. The portions of meat were quite generous and we had plenty of food between the 3 of us and also was able to share it with my sister. This was such an enjoyable lunch and I totally can see why people enjoy it so much! I would definitely make this one of my stops when I visit Legoland again. read more

If you need to eat in Legoland with a large seating area under full shade, go here. The food portions are large, but I would say it's a bit pricey. My husband and I shared the $35 combo that came with ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. I added 2 side: baked beans and mac n cheese. I will say the baked beans were my favorite things, surprisingly. I think we paid around $55 for the combo + 2 sides. If the line is out the door, don't let it intimidate you because the line moves very fast. I made the amateur mistake of bringing my stroller into the ordering area, don't do that. There's not much room to move around since it's cafeteria style when you're ordering, with the whole tray and grabbing the items you want. The food wasn't bad, it's probably the most decent food in the amusement park. There's shade for hot days outside in the large seating area. And around the corner are the apple fries stand. I visited Knight's Smokehouse BBQ during a day at Legoland since it is always nice when a theme park offers a barbecue option. I had heard a few good things about it and was excited to give it a try. The park opened at 10:30am and we ordered our food around 11am, so it was still early in the day. I went with the ribs and added the street corn on the side. The street corn ended up being the highlight. It had great flavor, a creamy and savory profile, and I would absolutely recommend it. The ribs, however, were a bit of a letdown. They were extremely expensive for the portion and they came out quite dry. The seasoning was decent but the dryness made them less enjoyable. It almost felt like they might have been reheated from the day before rather than freshly prepared, although it is possible I caught them at an off time before a new batch was ready. Service at the counter was friendly and quick and the seating area fits well with the Legoland atmosphere. It is a convenient spot when you want something heartier than the usual park food. For now, I am leaving a three star rating based on this visit. I plan to try it again since the street corn was great and there are plenty of other items on the menu that might offer a better experience. Great selection of foods and BBQ meats. We were very surprised at how good the meat tasted considering it was "park food". The ribs were very tender and flavorful. As was the brisket and Tri tip. I wish the rolls/bread were not dry and crumbly. If they could figure out a way to make soft & buttery rolls, that would complement the meal perfectly!!! Lastly, the food was expensive!! This is the only place we eat at when we come to Legoland. We always order their Smoked Haven which includes Smoked Brisket Smoked Pulled Pork 1/3 Rack Beelers Ribs. We ordered two of these for our family of 4 which includes 2 young children. We also got French fries, veggies and corn for sides. I think we got too much food, because we had a lot left over lol. With that being said, we enjoyed our meal. All the meat is seasoned perfectly and you get generous amounts of everything! You can also add dessert if you like their s'mores dessert was ok, not the best. The restaurant has plenty of seats to choose from outside, but when it's really busy it might be a little challenging finding a seat. I suggest you go a little before lunchtime rush. I do wish they had more umbrellas outside, because my kids were uncomfortable eating outside with no shade. Overall we love this place. read more

I've read that this place was good, so I've swung by. Smoke Haven (4/5) it's prepared as a dry rub style BBQ, heavy on pepper, lighter on salt, a decent amount of smoke. The meat falls off the bone, isn't tough or dry. It's decently executed, and once you add the BBQ sauce on it, it becomes pretty decent. It's not bad. Ignoring the price it's pretty decent. It's better than the ribs you'd get at Chili's. It basically is served as dry rub BBQ, which doesn't really taste that great on it's own, once you've drenched it in Smoky BBQ sauce, it becomes pretty decent, especially given the sauce's liquid smoke. I've read that some family of 4 had a tough time finishing two Smoke Havens, or one of these Smoke Havens feeds 3, they must be very thin and tiny people. After splitting a Smoke Haven, I think I can probably still do another two desert items. Even as I write this, I ponder maybe I can fit in a turkey leg, but given how we've already shelled out about 32 bucks for this, probably better to just wait until I'm out of the park to top up on calories. read more

I'm not a big eater and honestly just got The Smokehouse out of hunger, and I will say that by the end of my meal, it did get very jading - especially if you don't have anything else than water. The bread was severely dry, and I think the only thing that saved this meal from getting wasted was the hot link sausage which was pretty juicy and sweet. read more

This is our family's favorite place to eat at Legoland, and we have been here a few times. Sort of a buffet line service which moves reasonably fast. The BBQ meat and sides are actually fairly respectable (I've certainly had worse at self-styled "authentic" BBQ joints across the country), there's salads for those looking to get something healthy, and even a small selection of beers on tap up front. Lots of seating, multiple BBQ sauces (including a nice Carolina Gold version), and just in case you have finicky kids, there are a few other food choices close enough to grab something for them if BBQ is not their thing and bring it over to share with everyone else. The cheesy hot link and cornbread were my favorite things, but really everything was OK or better. By amusement park standards (a really low bar, to be fair), this place is a godsend. Not quite 5 stars, but not too far off. Prices are a bit high as to be expected, but passholders get a discount as usual. read more

so to preface, i love barbecue and to be precise, i love a wonderfully fatty, melt-in-your-mouth, bark encrusted brisket -- which i recognize, there's absolutely no way we're going to get in the middle of legoland 365 days of the year, so this review is not up to that standard, but that isn't _not_ where this is coming from either, if that makes any sense we got an order of the smoked haven to share between the two of us, and unfortunately the pulled pork, brisket, and mac and cheese they served was dry to the point we couldn't finish it that being said, the garlic parmesean vegetables were downright good, the ribs were decent (maybe just by comparison) and the platters come with dinner rolls you can make a pork sandwich or two with, which never really fails so if you go this route, make sure to get some extra bread + something good can work! read more

Kids meal: the fried chicken tenders about four of them which are tenderized flat. Not fantastic but edible, fries also Luke warm but not too bad. The juice that comes with it is only 40 cal and no added sugar so perfect for a child, also comes with a little box of raisins that were surprisingly good because they weren't extremely stale. With the 20% off annual pass discount this came to about eight bucks which isn't bad for the price but I would still say 3/5 for an adult, 4/5 if it were an actual child eating it probably. Salad: not bad, Newman's own bus balsamic vinaigrette for the dressing, and vegetables were actually not wilted so I can't complain considering it's a theme park prepackaged salad and was the only healthy thing I ate all day. 5/5 Hot link and brisket combo: this was pretty decent, although I was not the one eating it it did come with choice of Carolina versus smoky barbecue sauce and typically little prepackaged pouches. The sauces were decent and the meat was really good considering it's a theme park cafeteria. 5/5 Biscuit: this has to be ordered a la cart and it's two dollars, so I would've hesitated because it feels like a lot of money for a biscuit but it actually was really delicious so I do recommend. 5/5 This place is set up where you wind your way through several stations kind of cafeteria style and then pay at the end. What I liked in the seating area was that each table had a big roll of paper towels on it, recommend sitting farther away from the little plastic fish game that's right outside the dining because the sound got very annoying over the course of the meal experience. They also serve beer and wine at a separate little stand outside of the main cafeteria, but we did not avail ourselves of that option so I can't comment on the deliciousness. read more

Atypical theme-park BBQ offerings. Almost want to give them 4 stars for even attempting at mass-scale some challenging smoked items like brisket and pulled pork. Way more difficult than the turkey leg and BBQ chicken covered in sauce like at other theme parks. They offer sides and meats a la carte but also combo-style. I got the "Taste of Texas" after changing my mind on the ribs combo because the ribs looked dry. It came with brisket, pulled pork, and a hotlink. The brisket was the best of the bunch, surprisingly decent though don't expect it to be at the same level as famous BBQ restaurants. The pulled pork was very dry and needed sauce to soft it up. Hotlink was dry as well but had good heat. Combos come with a Hawaiian Roll so you can make your own mini slider, feel like overall combo needed something green as a side like a pickle or collard greens just to balance it a bit better. There was a corn side dish that looked like Elote street corn that had really good flavor. We enjoyed it a lot but it was oversauced. read more
