    Fried green tomatoes

Originally we went on a Saturday night, which they didn't let us in because not having a reservation. Obsessed with this placed, we tried it again on a Sunday night with a reservation. The inside seats are pretty nice and I don't think they have any outdoor seats. The union soap was very very good. I have never seen my son asking for more soap, which was the case for this delicious dish. Ribeye steak was good, but the potato was not very good. The green fried tomato was no good either. Overall, it was a good experience.

The service was great! The ambiance was nice. The food was good but not amazing. I had the filet mignon which normally comes with a béarnaise but I hate tarragon so I asked for the rosemary mushroom sauce instead. The sauce was very thick and sweet but it tasted better than a béarnaise. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and seasoned well. The Yukon mashed potatoes were a bit disappointing. They were super dry and were more like a hockey puck than creamy mashed potatoes. But they had good potato flavor. The veggies were good too. I'd go back but I'd get something different. That pastrami Rueben sandwich is what I wish I would have ordered.

Wednesday late afternoon 10/22/2025 The hotel that I was staying at highly recommended this place for food and drink. I checked it out, sat at the bar, the bar was full, ambience was awesome, light music playing, the bartender, "Victor, " awesome guy, pleasant, and polite, I ordered a Citranic DIPA and also ordered Ba Ba's, spicy blacked lamb chops served with a sweet pepper relish, I was enjoying the beer, and then the lamb chops came out. They were done perfectly, seasoned perfectly, they were so delicious See pics If you're in the downtown Placerville area, check out, " Bricks," - it's a must! Thanks, Victor!

We stumbled upon this place while walking around downtown and we are so happy we did! The fried green tomatoes were amazing! The fish and chips were cooked perfectly and a good size portion. The blackened chicken wrap was delicious. We will definitely be back to try more when we are ever in the neighborhood!

Fernando makes the best drinks! He is super friendly and knowledgeable on the menu and the drinks, I love how Bricks updates their cocktails based on the season I love coming in trying new things!

Great place to stop for a bite right in downtown Placerville. We were seated pretty quickly on this busy day after Thanksgiving. We only ordered drinks and appetizers but I saw the burgers other people were ordering and they looked huge and delicious! We had the cheesy garlic bread which was huge and the hot and spicy shrimp. The shrimp had amazing flavor and the sauce was indeed spicy but quite good. The martini flight was a fun order, loved every one I tried. The place was hopping and seemed like a fun hangout. They also have many beers on tap and a few different tv screens as well. Definitely on the noisier side so probably not the place for a romantic dinner but definitely a great place for a burger and beer!

Cuisine continues to disappoint some of us so giving up on this place. Super disappointed as I used to be a huge fan.

I was extremely nervous being a black woman visiting placerville, due to the stigma and the dummy hanging off buildings doesn't scream "WELCOME BLACKS" My waitress Carolyn made me feel welcomed completely. I was able to unwind and get a drink or two lol. Carolyn is a waitress that seems to be multifaceted and caring. She informative of the happy hour and even menu changes and how she could make drinks to our liking. Before coming in I was worried, I left with a different perspective of placerville. Thx again

I understand he was upset probably because we took a table away from his potential tips, but to treat us the way he did is inexcusable. I asked if him if the food hadn't been made if we could cancel our order. He left and appeared to speak to the kitchen staff. He came back and cleared the table next to us and did not communicate anything to us. I asked, is that a yes or no? Without looking at us he said hold on. He finished clearing the table and walked away. He came back 10 minutes later and without saying a word he placed the bill on our table and left. Luckily we had the cash to cover it and a tip. As we walked away he rushed over, likely to make sure we weren't skipping out since he had been so rude. Will we go back? Uh no. This could have been handled much differently leaving us wanting to try them again.

We decided to sit on the patio since it was nice outside - they also offer a ton of seating inside and I also spotted a huge bar area. They are also dog friendly! We ordered the Kids Cheese Flatbread, Reuben Sandwich with Garlic Fries and the BOJ Burger. My daughter devoured her Flatbread and my husband really liked his Reuben Sandwich - I liked all of the toppings that came on my BOJ Burger, but the hamburger patty itself was not seasoned and it weirdly made the whole burger lack in flavor even though there was bacon, onion jam and gouda on it. Our friends also enjoyed their food as well! They offer a large beer menu and a fun cocktail list - I almost ordered one, but decided not to. I will have to next time! Overall, service was friendly and attentive - even when it started getting really busy. I was hesitate about visiting based off of the reviews, but we we all left full and satisifed. I would definitely come back to Main Street Tap House and check out other items! Check them out!

I also loved the coffee bar, and the food itself was genuinely very good. That said, the ordering system really took away from the experience. Having to stand in one long line for drinks and another line for food just feels frustrating and inefficient, especially on a busy holiday like Mother's Day. It honestly felt more like serving yourself than dining out, yet the payment screen still pushes 18-25% tips. Mother's Day especially needed much better signage, more organization, and additional registers open. The lines were extremely long and moved painfully slow just to place an order. I really do love the concept and the atmosphere here, but the customer flow and service setup could use some major improvements during high-volume events.
