I was having some persistent neck pain and headaches after a lot of work travel. Dr. Clark quickly identified the issue in my cervical and thoracic spine and relived my pain and gave me some exercises to do to improve mobility and posture to keep it from happening again. I've been pain free ever since! I've seen a lot of chiropractors and he's the best! He's very strong, which seems to make the adjustments very easy for him, resulting in a very controlled and nuanced manipulation. He does a great job setting up his adjustments which he then does smoothly and skillfully. I would highly recommend him to anyone, but especially those who may feel nervous about getting work done. So thankful for my experience with Dr. Hudson Clark. I am a tattoo artist and I work really long hours hunched over and because of that, my neck and back struggle greatly. I was having a sciatica outbreak, which was absolutely immobilizing me, and Dr. Clark came to the rescue. Hudson Clark adjusted me a year and a half ago for a minor shoulder issue.. this resulted in a CATASTROPHIC back injury that put me out of work for months. I am still not the same. He put his entire weight on me, I saw his feet leave the ground, after I explained to him that I have a t7 fracture and lots of reasons I need to be careful. This man is criminally negligent at best. He should be in prison. He gave me pain I live with every day all day. I was a happy active person before I met him. I would hike 100 miles on a weekend. I can barely walk a mile now. Do yourself a favor, do not end up like me, cross the street if you see this man, or better yet, have him arrested. What a disgusting waste of life. The fact that he is still working while everyday I feel the pain he gave me makes me want to throw up. Since being injured in a car accident I've been regularly going to Bridgetown Chiropractic on Lombard for 5 weeks now. I've been very impressed with how thorough and effective my care has been. I called Bridgetown to inquire about their manipulation techniques to make sure they were able to help me because I have fibromyalgia. I went into great detail about my pain and needing gentle chiropractor care at my first appointment. The doctor assured me he could. My second appointment was okay, but third appointment was horrible. I really struggle to change positions on the table due to my pain and fatigue. He did the first manipulation and I could not get into the next position quick enough before he did the second, and then the third manipulation hurt so bad...he pinched my skin down my left side and I ended up with a huge black/blue bruise down my left side. I was so stunned that I could not say anything. I felt like I was being flipped around like a pancake. He was rushing through my treatment. I got myself together and exited the office. The doctor was already in his vehicle speeding out of the parking lot. I got into my car and thought...well, I'm not going back. I wanted to say something but If the doctor really thought he provided good/gentile chiropractic care for me that day, then my complaint would do no good. read more

Dr. James Taylor has been my chiro for around a year now. I originally came in with an acute back injury. Something that's bothered me from time to time. He was able to identify it and fix me right up. Since then I see James when it flares and or I have any other aches and pains. Dwight and his sweet receptionists are a dream to work with. This is gonna sound canned, but it's the truth. My wife's dad is a Chiropractor - and not particularly trustworthy - and I've been to many more chiropractors of varying degrees of integrity and intelligence. So I have seen the full gambit that these guys can perform, from trying to sell you $40 bottles of antioxidant juice to telling you that you must eat vegetarian in order to be a healthy person, from saying that massage is not helpful to selling time on his massage chair - I have seen it all. After reading the few great reviews on here (that were obviously not fakes (like others on Yelp)), I decided to give Dr. Reid a try. Literally upon walking in, getting a solid handshake from a young and professional (yet super nice and personable) doctor, I was brought in for a normal appointment. He spent TWO HOURS with me. Don't expect this kind of attention every time, but when he had nothing else to do and realizing the seriousness of my condition, he was happy to chat about what was going on extensively - as well as talk music with me for a while ;) He had a feeling that I had a disc injury - one that didn't fit the normal symptoms. He scheduled me for an MRI the next day, called me after reading the results, and he was right! I have two herniated discs that are, in his words, "pretty bad dude." I appreciate his confidence, expertise and judgement. He is the most straightforward chiropractor I've ever met. He knows that he is good a chiropracture because he was trained in it and has had a successful practice. He will also tell you that he sticks to what he's good at and will gladly point you toward another route if chiropractic care is not going to fix the problem he sees. I have to admit it. I was scared to see a chiropractor. But I was in pain, and I was desperate, and my doctor had told me that Western medicine wasn't going to be able to fix me... that a chiropractor was the only way to go. Cue shudders. I've heard so many chiropractic horror stories. But, as I said, I was desperate, and luckily for me, I knew just where to go, since a co-worker had happened to tell me about Bridgetown (and Dr. Dane in particular) several months before. The office is housed in a little art deco house and has its own parking lot--hurray! The whole place is surprisingly comfortable and cozy. The walls are painted in spa-like shades, soft downtempo music is playing, and there's a lovely little selection of teas. The receptionist is friendly and warm. If you're early, you're given the option of being put under a warm heat pad while you wait. Do it--this really loosens up your muscles. If it's your first visit, Dr. Dane will spend a long time with you. He will want to know about your particular issues. And then the spine-cracking begins. Luckily, even this part of the visit is surprisingly non-scary. Dr. Dane inspires confidence. He is very gentle, and he explains what he is doing at every step, and if you decide that you really don't like a particular adjustment, he won't do it again. He also teaches you how to do preventative work at home--stretches, exercises, and other assorted little tricks such as massaging tight muscles with tennis balls. He even went over my prescriptions, to make sure that I understood how they worked and how best to take them. But perhaps most astonishing of all are the results. After four cases of whiplash in ten years, I was a mess, but I am pleased to report that Dr. Dane fixed me. After just two visits, I found I was sleeping better. I could turn my neck again. And after a few more visits, I felt almost as good as new. When I accidentally made my neck worse, the office was able to fit me in on almost no notice. Not surprisingly, I have recommended him to several people, and all of them have reported that he fixed what ailed them, too. So, if you're in pain... walk, run or hobble to Bridgetown and Dr. Dane. Excellent Attention & Care! I was looking for a chiropractor clinic near my home & based on Erik K's review I decided to check this place out. I give them a call to find out if they meet my needs, which is that they have a massage therapist and they are open on the weekends. The receptionist informed me that not only do they have a massage therapist, but they have two on hand & based on if you prefer a male or female they will schedule you on who you feel comfortable with. The clinic is right between 77th & 78th in Glisan with their own private parking lot. Their office is very clean and professional & it doesn't have that stark white appearance to it, so you don't have to feel like you have to whisper. Office hours are: Mon-Fri 9am - 6pm and Saturday 9am - 1pm. They also have a Clackamas clinic if that's closer to you. My first appointment there was AMAZING! I met with Dr. Dwight Reid, who is not only funny, but very knowledgable and understanding of his client's health. He listened patiently as i ranted on & on about my pain and discomfort from being rear-ended at 95mph. Just by him feeling my back he knew right away that it was the right side of my body that was giving me a lot of problems. His first instinct was to get me to work with Kim, massage therapist for 30mins to loosen up my muscle tissue prior to him working on me. By the time it came to me working with him I wasn't AS scared to have him aligned my muscles. He helped my relaxation by talking to me through the process and giving me the opportunity to feel comfortable before he proceeded any further. I really enjoyed that Bridgetown Chiropractic doesn't mess around with the "well-being" mumbo-jumbo crap & get right down to business. I love the fact that their massage therapist works with me prior to them "cracking," my muscle and that they are extremely knowledgable about what my needs and comfort levels are. The staff there are very professional and not so stuffy. Dr. Reid is very laid-back and chill and so is Kim, massage therapist. I like that my dr's personality isn't so rigid so that when i'm freaking out about my muscles being adjusted he doesn't laugh when i'm shouting in surprise or (accidently) cursing. For about 25 years I have been taking over the counter pain killers for headaches (3-4 times a week). Out of shear desperation I decided to try a chiropractor. Note, I have been to several doctors for headaches and exactly 0 ever suggested that I go to a chiropractor(they did however have more prescriptions for me to pay for). Anyway, after 15 mins of talking and 30 seconds of adjustments they are gone. Why I didn't try that before is beyond me. Okay, I thought I had previously written a review for Bridgetown, but I guess I did not. I just want to say that Dr. Dwight Reid is great! I have been having lower back problems for years and went to see him. Needless to say, it only took me a few visits and I have not had any problems since. That should speak volumes. Dr. Dane Seitz is also awesome. He worked with me with some orthotics that I had made for my shoes and I think this also helped with my back as well. I also had a medical massage twice, once from a female and once from a male, and they were both incredible and professional as well. All I have to say is that Bridgetown Chiropractic works as a TEAM!! From the front desk all the way through the experience, this group of professionals helped me beyond my expectations! 5 stars for the whole office! The main location has a very calming and welcoming atmosphere and they offer complementary tea. All of the staff are very helpful and friendly. I was always greeted with a huge smile and happy hello especially from Dawn (she's awesome and so is her pup). They have three chiropractors and luckily I was able to meet all three. They are pretty awesome and personable. I met Dr. Maybee my first visit and knew it was the right decision to make an appointment and get help from this office. He was extremely nice and took the time to ask questions regarding my previous treatment from another car accident I had been in to my most recent car accident. I loved all three doctors, but I think I connected more with Dr. Maybee and was pleased with his treatment plan. My body is doing so much better!! He also works at the clackmas location as well! They have a handful of massage therapists. I think 5 different therapists worked on me and each have their own healing methods. There was one therapist who was very knowledgable and used analogies to help me better understand what was happening to my body and also how the technique she was using was helping my body. I think her name was Becca or Rebecca-I always got the two mixed up but I am referring to the shorter therapist with brown hair. She was more than awesome! This was my second time receiving chiropractic care. The first time was in California and my chiropractor was decent. I don't feel like he took the time to fully engage with my issues and rushed me away. I was very impressed with the care and compassion I got from Bridgetown Chiropratic and I highly recommend this office. I don't think you will be disappointed! read more

Dwight at bridgetown is also a musician, and i just want to say THANK YOU! as a guitar player, i had been having nerve tingling and some of the troubling signs of carpal tunnel after playing guitar. ONE session cured the tingling and numbness.. you might not have the same luck i did, but i still have to say im blown away. i can now play for hours with no hassle, and before it was about 15 minutes before pins and needles set in on my fingers. oh, yeah, i also originally went because i tweaked my lower back lifting my 4x12 speaker cabinet into my truck like a dumbass. not only did i get that fixed, but dwight taught me how to lift a cabinet properly so i dont have to come back. Bridgetown Chiropractic and Wellness is fantastic. I highly recommend them. I have been seeing Dr. Dwight Reid for numerous ailments. Not only is he the best Chiropractor I have ever had, he is also kind, compassionate and extremely knowledgable. His adjustments make me feel like a new person. Dr. Reid has taken the time to get to know me and truly cares about my well being. He has worked closely with my physician, surgeon and physical therapist. He has dedicated a lot of time on my medical needs. I completely trust him. I had to have surgery last year and I was a nervousness wreck. He read my medical record and explained in non medical jargon why and what was happening. He has held my hand and comforted me when I needed it. I have never found a medical professional as dedicated as Dr. Reid. I also need to give props to Dr. May. When my three year broke her leg, I had him work on my child. Dr. May is fantastic with kids. My three year old is not the most patient child. The visit was quick, very efficient and easy. He took her age into consideration and was able to keep her entertained. Although she was three years old, he really listened to her and respected her. Then there is Dawn, the billing goddess. She can answer any billing question you may have. She has helped me navigate and understand the world of insurance billing. Dealing with insurance providers has always been a huge headache for me. Not only has she made the process easy and painless she has also helped me understand my EOB from other medical providers. Bridgetown Chiropractic is unbelievable! I was house and pet sitting in Happy Valley and my hip was hurting so bad I couldn't step down. I started calling chiropractors in the area on a Friday afternoon with no luck. If you are a new client, don't bother. My review is a reflection of their confusing intake process and unprofessional receptionist (Dawn). Being new to the city, I was on the lookout for a new chiropractor and was referred here by a coworker. Booking the appointment over the phone with Dawn was ok, but she should've noted that there are actually MULTIPLE locations (I was only given one name and number and called accordingly when booking). The confirmation email they send out only shows the NE Glisan location; however, the actual appointment was for another location which I was unaware of. After battling 1hr of traffic to make my 4pm appointment, I was surprised to see the place was closed. I called the number, and spoke with Dawn again who is quite possibly the most unprofessional person I have ever encountered in the wellness service industry. Her message was essentially "wow, I can't believe you drove all the way there because you should've known it's at the Lombard location like we discussed". Ok. Cool, well I don't know what a Lombard is, and your email said Glisan, and here I am. Also, you asked about my preference for text or email notifications during the phone booking and I opted for email, so yes, I followed the email instructions and address. When I pointed this out to Dawn, she then said "well, you're never going to make it to Lombard on time". Cut the attitude! I couldn't believe there was zero offer to reschedule and zero apology. I was pretty peeved at this point and said perhaps it's best to cancel. At which point she gleefully said "Ok!" and hung up. I was so appalled at what just happened, I called back to request her name. I guess she figured out that she was about to be in trouble for her attitude, and promptly tried to rectify it by saying she could squeeze me in another day and that the doctor would be "going out of their way to stay late for me". Well great, it's not like I want anyone to stay late on my accord, either. Forget it. There are plenty of other chiropractors in town and while I trust that the doctors are great, I can't bear to deal with their receptionist moving forward. Truly unfortunate and hopefully a learning lesson for the team update their electronic sign-up system and to train up on basic customer service/receptionist skills. read more

I was involved in an auto accident and my primary care physician advised me to see a chiropractor to alleviate my pain and effects from the collision. I had never been to a chiropractor so I was kind of hesitant. I searched on Google for one and came across Bridgetown and I'm sure glad that I did. A little unsure of what to expect I was a tad nervous because I was in pain and didn't want any treatment that could potentially cause me more. I met with Dwight, explained the accident and what I was feeling and he seemed to know exactly what treatments that I needed to feel better. He's incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable. At times when it was tough for me to verbalize my symptoms he seemed to know exactly what I was experiencing. As I mentioned, this was the first chiropractor that I have ever been to, and I'm happy to say that it will also be the last. One visit with Dr. Reid and his staff will calm your nerves and put your mind at ease that you're in the right hands to ensure a full recovery. I had some back pain and they delivered. They had a friendly staff and I know that back pain is chronic so it will never be perfect, but over time and time again, they have delivered treatments that have made my life and back feel so much better. They did some type of ultrasound or something like that, and the doctor was able to manipulate my back and help get the kinks out. I have been there for many massages which have been very beneficial. The doctor has great credentials, and is very knowledgeable about his field. I have been offered several different types of treatment options, and I trust this physician to recommend the best for me. I took 2 stars off because many of the times, they have been late at my appointment time. When I have a 2 PM appointment, I expect 2 PM. I understand sometimes that they have things that come up, but I think they are trying to pack too many people in which disrupts my schedule. So some advice for the practice: if you schedule a patient for 2 PM, and they are responsible and arriving before their appointment time, please be respectable for their time as well. I understand things come up, but no for over 90% of my appointments. Unfortunately I have read other reviews and that seems to be a common complaint. Fix this and I will raise my star level. Please fix this: you are worth more then 3 stars, but this needs to be addressed. read more

This time i got a person. No, she hadn't bothered to listen to phone messages. No, she couldn't fit me in today. Yes, she thought an appropriate response to a pain emergency is an appointment 3 1/2 days down the line. Maybe it's different once you actually manage to suck up your pain, endure waiting almost half a week to get a treasured place on the appointment list. Maybe then they treat you better. But as someone who just moved to the area and is looking for a chiropractic practice to hand over what (due to my condition), is likely to amount to a decent amount of cash, this alone is making me regret moving to Portland.
