    Selection of bagels
    Uli B.

I live in Mill Valley and often I ride my bike to the Sausalito ferry terminal to make my commute both part workout and part leisure. Bridgeway Bagel is at the halfway point and I often stop by to get an everything bagel with roasted tomato cream cheese. Their bagels and their staff are great! Then, when I sit on the ferry, I enjoy my bagel and the fabulous views of the Golden Gate...

Amazing bagels & prices! Great hidden gem in Sausalito (: They also have smoothies & sandwiches which is a BIG plus.

    California Retail Food Code

Nice location and selection but for some reason the food preparers don't wear gloves which is pretty unsanitary these days. This is in violation of California Code Section 113961: No Bare Hand Contact with Ready-to-Eat Food which observes that hand washing is not enough and calls for disposable sanitary gloves and other measures to be used. I will not be coming back until they take precautions to protect customers from potential contamination particularly in these COVID/Post-COVID times we face.

    Pastrami Sandwich $6.75

5/17/19 I think this bagel shop was one of my gf's favorites if I remember correctly. ("Was" cause she corrected me this morning--no longer after this last visit, sadly.) She works out in San Rafael, which would be a long long long way from home in San Jose, so I never came with her to here 'till now. I'd have to say, their bagels have a great texture. Chewy, and just the right amount of density. Not overly moist like soft bread, but not dry either. Just the right density. But if you do come here, just know only their bagels are good. For one, the cakes and muffins are not made here. Personally I'd put signs out saying so, cause I think most people seeing pastries in the displays would assume they were the restaurant's. Kinda a turn-off. Secondly, their sandwiches are quite standard (though at least aren't rips)... 1. Pastrami Sandwich $6.75: So, I got the poppy bagel which was great, and was seriously topped with poppy. Surprised I didn't get high! But the pastrami was cheap bulk crap. Everything else pretty standard. 5/10 2. Pepper Bagel Egg Special $5.95 "w/ egg, turkey & swiss": Strangely, their pepper bagel doesn't have the same texture as my poppy, being far softer. I dunno, maybe it was microwaved? At least the turkey isn't low-grade like the pastrami, being thicker sliced, but it was very dry. 5/10 3. The Bagels: Just the bagels would be 8/10 Also, I have to note, it was REALLY weird that some dude was singing opera loudly from the back, but the front where we dined was playing blues on the speakers. Just sounded like chaos, and was totally weird. 3/5 #sausalito #bagels

Has Bridgeway bagels changed owners? Or maybe they are using a different recipe?

I was in there just a couple months ago and it was the same owner!

I come here at least once a week on a bike ride and I have a wonderful time without fail. Sit and look at the water, talk to the man behind the counter. He always has a fun quip to start the day. There is a bathroom in the back. It feels really old fashioned and legit. Love this spot. The same guy is working there every time I go and he always has a smile on his face. Dog friendly and biker friendly. Just got blueberry banana bread for the first time today and while my bike home was a bit slower, it was worth it.

I ordered the giant cinnamon roll and a large oatmeal cookie to take on the road. Unfortunately, neither lived up to my expectations. The cinnamon roll was more like plain bread with very little cinnamon flavor or frosting, and the oatmeal cookie tasted more like flour than oats or spices. As an SF native who's tried a lot of great bakeries, this one just didn't stand out. I really wanted to love it because the setting is so relaxing and beautiful, but the baked goods fell short for me.

We were in the area hoping to get some fresh coastal air and looking for something simple and non-complicated to eat like a sandwich. This was exactly what I needed. This old school deli has an entire wall of refrigerators with every type of drink that fits your needs -water, juices, soda, beer, wine, and everything in between. There are plenty of sandwich options and plenty of refrigerated side dishes available to go with them. The owners were lovely (and patient). My daughter ordered a reuben on dark rye. I ordered pastrami on sliced sourdough. We each took half of the other's and shared a bag of air baked Kettle chips. We initially thought we would take our sandwiches to go and find a spot to eat them on a bench along the water side. However, there were several tables in the back, both indoor and outdoor in the garden. It was a perfect sunny, mild day and it was not terribly busy during this time, so we chose to enjoy our sandwiches there on a table next to open French doors. Five stars for food, service, and location. I'm always happy to support a small, local

It is a cute little deli/bakery/restaurant. They gave us a menu and we sat down, but we ended up ordering at the counter. My girlfriend ordered the Fiorentina - Egg White with Spinach, Mushroom & Garlic and I got the Piemontese - Spicy Ground Beef, Mushroom, Spinach & Gorgonzola Cheese. We both throughly enjoyed our meals! The ground beef was not spicy at all though. We were hoping we had left room for a sweet treat, but we were stuffed!! I don't know if I'll make the special trip out here again, but if we are around, we might come again to try a sweet treat!

I'm really disappointed with my recent experience ordering from this restaurant through Grubhub…read more I understand that Grubhub handles delivery logistics, but it's still the restaurant's responsibility to communicate with customers when there are issues. I was left waiting about 45 minutes with no update--no notice of a delay, no mention that there might not be a driver available, nothing. What made it worse was calling the restaurant for help. The response I received felt dismissive, and I was simply told the order was canceled. There was no effort to assist or provide any explanation. Yes, I received a refund, but that's not the point. Good customer service is about communication and respect for your customers' time. A quick update could have made a big difference. I hope the restaurant improves how they handle situations like this and works more closely with Grubhub to keep customers informed.
