" Worst Chinese food , on the planet " This Chinese food is the worst I have had . I am a foodie and I love food . So you can only imagine how bad it has to be , for a foodie , to throw it out. I tried the rice , it tasted stale ; like old . The crab Rangoon tasted old and it was just horrible. The chicken fingers were stale . I took a bit of all the above ; then throw out the food . I don't recommend this place at all. You can also taste like a back flavor of nasty oil : eww .

Chicken lo mein and Beef with Broccoli

Genuinely one of the best Chinese takeout places I've tried- everything was fresh and flavorful without being overly heavy or salty. The vegetables especially were cooked well, no sogginess! Loved how the chicken & beef wasn't old, and the noodles were nice & saucy. Great hole in the wall place!

Got the special combo orange flavor chicken with pork lo mein and crab rangoon appetizer.

Be careful eating here with allergies!!!!!! Place almost killed me. I always inform Chinese places of my peanut and seafood allergies, despite this I still went into anaphylaxis for care less cross contamination.... I'm also pregnant. I never review places but absolutely do not eat here if you have allergies. So careless almost lost my life over lo mein..

Standard fast food chinese place. I came here for lunch and got the lunch special that comes with a side which I got the veggie spring roll. Food was fresh and warm. The general Tso was pretty standard. Not amazing but huge portion and I couldn't finish it all. Would recommend if you want filling chinese fast food.

Update: still delicious! Makes me sad reading all these negative reviews cause my tofu was great, crispy on the outside and super soft inside. The fried rice was good and well priced for the quantity too. Everything was neatly packaged for pickup.

Shanghai Classic Pork Pan-Fried Buns上海生煎饅頭: I was instantly hooked! It's hard to imagine finding such good pan-fried buns in the US. Almost every table ordered them, so they were all freshly made, piping hot. The bun was made with unleavened dough, making it chewy and refreshing, with a light, crispy bottom--not oily or hard. The meat filling was substantial and tender, with plenty of broth (see picture). It was sweeter than salty, incredibly umami. The chili oil was also very fragrant, and dipping it in Zhenjiang vinegar enhanced the flavor and cut through the greasiness. Shredded Pork & Preserved Vegetable Noodle Soup雪菜肉絲麵: The noodles were thin and round, with a soft, mushy texture. While the noodles were clearly machine-made, this isn't a problem in the Yangtze River Delta region; the issue was likely overcooking. The shredded pork were well-stirred, with tender meat, but the noodles lacked flavor. They had to be eaten with the pickled mustard greens雪菜 to be slightly salty, and the umami flavor was severely diluted. The tableware is all disposable, and tipping is not mandatory. It's quite affordable.

They come out piping hot and fresh, and can kind of be hazardous if you bite into them too quickly and cause the soup to spurt out. I don't think I've had better ones in the states! In fact, even in Shanghai, it's kind of hard to find good ones sometimes (at least ones that serve them all day and not just for breakfast). It's more of a takeout place as it's rather small, but the interior is clean and bright.

Now, the food. Where do I even start? The eggplant with long beans was tender and perfectly seasoned, the cumin lamb was bold and aromatic in the best way, and the chili oil fish fillet had just the right amount of heat with incredible depth of flavor. Every dish we ordered felt thoughtful and satisfying -- the kind of meal you're still thinking about the next day. We did have to wait a little despite having a reservation, but honestly, the staff made it so easy to forgive. Without us even having to ask, they brought out a complimentary dessert as a gesture of goodwill -- and what a dessert it was. A slice of Basque cheesecake with a special jam that I genuinely cannot stop thinking about. It was so good we demolished it before anyone thought to grab a photo. No regrets. That little hiccup with the wait is the only reason this isn't a full five stars, but the kindness of the staff and the quality of the food more than made up for it. This is the kind of place you want to bring everyone you know. We'll absolutely be back.

Beef and tripe was very well seasoned and no weird taste at all. The duck blood is the best duck blood in Boston, very tender and delicious. The cost of the dishes surprisingly a little bit cheaper than other restaurants. Even though the restaurant was super super busy, a lot of people waiting for a seat, and there was only one server, a very friendly man, we had water refilled and all the dishes arrived quickly. The service was great. Because the food was so good, many people willing to wait for a seat. I love the small busy restaurant kind of ambience. I will definitely go back soon!

Limited street parking out front, but there are more street metered parking on the side street (next to the green line). The restaurant is much smaller than the Weymouth location, and the menu selection is also different. The server asked me to scan the QR code on the table for the menu, so I'm not sure if they have a paper menu. You can place the order directly via the QR code. I requested one dish to be non-spicy, and they were able to accommodate that. The only thing was that both dishes were a little bit too salty than my liking. I came here during a weekday lunch, and it wasn't super busy. I would return again.

Our server was attentive and replenished our water for the table as soon as they were empty without our even asking. Food 5/5: every dish we ordered represented Sichuan flavors well, especially the spiciness of it! Our favorites were the eggplant with spicy garlic sauce, with the chengdu dry hot chicken and the string beans. The braised beef with Napa cabbage and mapo tofu were also delicious. Ambience 3/5: super loud. It wasn't even the music, it was that people's conversations were bouncing off the walls in a small space such that it was not possible to hear the other people in my group except who I was sitting next to. I saw several dates there and hopefully they could hear each other ok. Drinks: 2/5 overpriced and disappointing. My Negroni was ok but my husband's Manhattan tasted watery like it had been shaken instead of stirred and the melon highball tastes medicine-y. Overall a good experience because we were hungry and the food was amazing. We made up for not hearing each other well by taking an evening stroll and talking as we walked.

I read somewhere that they changed over their staff and completely obliterated their previous (awesome!) cocktail program. Our server confirmed that last November they started a new cocktail menu. We ordered our standard Trader Vic's Mai Tai (not listed on the new menu) and sent it back as it was undrinkable--super sweet with an off-putting after taste. And the interior has changed, too. Lights in the dining room are much brighter, the inclusive flag is no longer in the front window, and the funky art in the bathrooms is gone. The management or something else is definitely different. The food was hit or miss. The sauce was overly thickened glop in both the chicken with garlic and the peppercorn beef special. Saving grace was our server who was apologetic and helpful.
