Dr. Corielli has been our daughter's dentist for 3 years now and has been absolutely amazing. We first noticed that our daughter had discoloration/cavities before she was 2 years old and immediately sought professional help from a pediatric dentist on Long Island. It was a complete disaster. Not only was she rude and unpleasant, she made us feel judged and told us that our daughter needed to eventually be sedated and have major work done. She scared all of us very much and the idea of putting such a small child under sedation was a total deal breaker. Luckily we were referred to Dr. Corielli and she is a master at compassionate care. She treats us with respect and more importantly she makes our daughter feel safe while able to perform preventative treatments/cleanings without relying on sedation. So far we have stopped the spread of cavities and have cleaned and protected the ones she does have, until they are ready to fall out naturally. Her office is really modern, clean and fun for the kids and her staff is stellar. I RARELY review and this is my first for Yelp but honestly, I can't really say enough about her. We travel from LI to NYC for appts and every time we visit I cannot believe the amount of work she is able to do for our daughter without any tears. This practice is a gem in NYC. From the minute you walk in, the office is clean, the atmosphere is extremely child friendly and organized. But what really makes the biggest difference here is the staff. They are well trained, courteous, you feel that they treat every patient with the same importance. The staff does everything they can to accomodate you and your family needs, from easily changing appointments to easing my children's anxiety about the work at hand. Even when they were just 4 years old, Dr. Corielli spoke to them as adults, telling them what she was doing each step of the way, this truly was so helpful in easing their anxiety. We unfortunately had more complex dental problems than just cavities and I am so grateful to Dr. Corielli for giving me the resources that I needed to make an informed decision. I never felt pressured or had the impression that it was about making money. In fact the very opposite, it was all about my child. Dr. Corielli is a wonderful dentist - she has treated our 11 and 13 year old daughter and son since they had teeth. She and her staff know both children well and treat them as the individuals they are. They are never "processed" through a cleaning, but each cleaning and consultation is tailored to each child. The result is the children pay attention and have carried correct oral hygiene home with them. Additionally (and quite importantly for young children,) the visits are not al all scary or boring. On the contrary, from wonderful game filled waiting rooms to overhead cartoons to the wonderful smiles and upbeat attitude of the entire staff our children have benefited enormously. The icing on the cake is seamless appointment scheduling and clear, efficient and reasonable billing.
