    Cheese pizza. Pretty tasty 10in
    Ye L.

We stopped in on the way to Santa Barbara. It's tucked away in a nondescript business district where you wouldn't necessarily expect a brewery. Inside is super cute though and they have simple board games for the kids. You order right in the room with the beer bars right behind. We were able to try a few beers before we settled on one we liked. The girl who helped us was very nice and patient. Helped that the place was pretty empty around opening time. Food itself was just fine. The salad portion was smaller than expected. More like a side salad size for an entree salad. Pizza was good but pricey compared to Blaze. Wings were meh. Overcooked and not that juicy. A lot if items weren't available in the menu.

What a fun space! I love that they have plenty of games and trivia as well as other fun events planned throughout the week. My son had a great time here, the pizzas were tasty. I really enjoyed all of their dips and sauces, very flavorful and a great addition to the pizza. The pizza is bar sized, More of a snack than a full meal. I love that they also have monthly specials so that there is always something new to enjoy here. Very friendly and great service, plenty of seating and the beer is of course delicious as well!

Our favorite time to visit is on Thursday for music bingo! The ambiance is so fun and a great time to hang with friends new or old. The food is delicious and has a Mediterranean flair. You walk up to order your food and it is brought to your table efficiently.

Very spacious and clean brewery with a simple touch to it. The food menu was different than your normal brewery type foods but not overwhelming. I ended up getting the spicy chicken sandwich and fries with the whipped garlic. They were both delicious and would come back just for the food. I'm not much of a beer girly but I had a tropical beer. It was good if you like a light beer. We ended up staying to play trivia which was actually pretty fun. My team got second place.

Baby shower for my scorpio baby

I had such a wonderful and fun time here for my baby shower last September. I was recommended this spot from a friend who said it's a great-sized venue to hold events for her roller derby team. The location is in the industrial side of Ventura where there's ample parking and there's hardly any crowding on the streets. I was in communication with the event coordinator and manager planning this baby shower in 3 months in advance. We signed digital contracts, put a deposit down and made sure there were enough chairs, tables, and space for our event. We opted for the banquet food to feed our party and drink tickets for alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks. For up to 60 guests, we had the dining room and the solarium, which were the perfect amount of space to accommodate everyone and have a photo booth. Service was great making sure all the foods & drinks came out and set up was perfect. Everyone enjoyed the pizzas and the choice of drinks from the drink tickets. We played a few baby shower games and held a diaper raffle. I highly recommend this brewery for another large event because it's also very family-friendly, which our guests were welcome to bring their littles ones :) Only thing out of control was the very hot weather that day and it was hard to stay cool inside. Thanks again, Bright Spark Brewing! :D

    Cesar salad with chicken

We decided to stop here to sit out some of the rush hour traffic. It was a great decision, we were here for an hour, but only arrived at our destination 30 minutes later. The place is super nice, and even allows dogs inside. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich and a Cesar salad with chicken. OMG, that chicken sandwich was amazing!!! They don't call it a Nashville Hot, but they easily could and it would be one of the best I've had. The Cesar salad was really, really good too . Pretty sure they make their own dressing. The beer was also pretty good. If you are in the area, you have to stop in here.

The food here is so freaking good. From the burgers to the pizza to the salads to the wings. All are a great choice!! It's a very family friendly brewery. The beer is ok. Not my favorite but still good. Service is always fast and pleasant. They also have a good selection of drinks other than beer.

Cherry Sangria, and Hibiscus pineapple Rose Samgria dinks

The Honey glazed pizza was delicious. The service very good. The new brewery is really spacious. The two drinks we got was perfect for the season cherry sangria, and the meniscus pineapple sangria. I enjoyed the experience If your in Ventura, come by and enjoy the experience as I did. A gem revealed in retrospect.

We had tea party for our 5yo birthday and everything was great! Kendra was definitely accommodating and the whole crew was there for us when we needed them. Food n drinks were great and the kiddos had a great time!

Potato Dukkah Pizza and Spinach & Artichoke Pizza with Feta

I personally think Bright Spark is a notch above most breweries. First off, this place is huge! There is tons of seating. We actually went on one of their busy, trivia nights and decided we wanted to be away from the action. We sat in a back room and were able to relax and watch baseball on the TV. It was very nice. Next, they have lots of drink options. It's not just for craft beer drinkers. During our last visit, I was able to order a "Hibiscus Pineapple Rose Sangria". It was excellent. My boyfriend is a fan of their "Game Day", light beer. They have lots of beer, wine, seltzer, kombucha, and non-alcoholic options. Lastly, the food is incredible! We usually opt for the Potato Dukkah Pizza because it's insanely delicious, and you can't get pizza like that everywhere. But everything I have had there has been really good! They offer snacks, sandwiches, salads, burgers, pizza, and even an awesome kids menu. I feel the food is really the high point of this establishment. Anyways, I recommend Bright Spark. There is something for everyone there. The staff is great too!

Not inviting, not as expected. Detroit style pizza is straight bread - might as well call it "Detrash style pizza." Ranch was good though.

Ask the Community - Bright Spark Brewing

    Are dogs allowed?

Yes well behaved and leashed dogs are allowed inside. I came January 2024 and dogs were allowed inside with no issues. But all doggies I saw inside were well socialized and "goodie" boys and girls :)

    Lots of tvs for football?

    There are two TVs, currently.

The Topa Topa on Thompson is my personal favorite location. All of them are great, and each one…read morecarries that welcoming, familiar energy, but the downtown spot just feels different. No matter which Topa you walk into, you see familiar faces. There is a real sense of family there, and I would hate to lose that. The Thompson location specifically feels like home. When I lost someone very near and dear to me, Topa became a place where I could breathe again. On the worst days, walking through those doors made things feel just a little lighter. Sometimes it felt like I was holding my breath all day until I got there. There is a steady comfort in that space. Mama mia, that kind of place is rare. I have definitely "invested" ;) my fair share into the pool table and the pinball machine. Trivia nights with the awesome host, the food pop ups, Nicks Smash Burgers and Ramos Tacos are the best. Being introduced to new bands and almost always leaving a live show with a vinyl or CD by the end of their set. It truly is a community. Supporting local artists and seeing the same people show up for each other over and over again is part of what makes it special. And the beer is unreal. I was never much of a beer person, but a few years ago they pulled me in with Moo Bae then the Althlone Ranger, and then the 4 and 20. My current favorite is The Tux. Every time I go in, that is what I get. I loved when they had more dark beers too. Topa Topa opened the door for me into the craft beer world without ever feeling intimidating. Once you find a place where you feel appreciated and respected, where you feel known, you do not want to lose that. A huge part of that for me is seeing my regular beer tenders, Mike, Lea, Marie, and Zion. They are part of what makes walking through those doors feel like coming home. The Thompson location is that kind of place. Really messed up what you did. EDIT- This is nothing against the newer employees of Topa, but has everything to do with corporate. What were you thinking getting rid of 15% of your staff? The people that have helped build the foundation of your brand. The people that build the individual personalities of each taproom. The people that we have gotten to know and they've gotten to know us. Like I said before Topa is a family. I get that the craft beer scene is getting smaller but getting rid of family is so dumb. Your regulars have developed a relationship with these people. It's so disheartening to go now. When we go we aren't greeted by these friendly faces that know us. You'd think you'd focus more on your regulars you know the people that actually spend money here rather than the "next generation". Like I said, this has nothing to do with the new workers. They're nice. But the people we've developed relationships could NEVER be replaced. The lovers of topa topa do not like this. And I've already seen on Reddit people are saying they aren't going back.

I wouldn't call myself a big beer fan, but Topa Topa is one of those places that always pulls me…read morein. I usually order a flight so I can try a few different things, especially their special release beers. Two favorites I've loved during special releases are the Ojai Pixie Citrus IPA and Harvest Swoon Sangria-Style Sour. Both are super flavorful without being overwhelming. Their hard seltzers are also a great option when I'm in the mood for something lighter. The Ojai location has a relaxed, welcoming vibe and shares the space with Little Sama, which makes it an easy place to hang out. They also host community events like trivia nights on Tuesdays, which adds to the fun. A great spot whether you're really into craft beer or just enjoy a casual drink in a laid-back Ojai setting.
