Mimosa Tree
Pam S.

Can you say SLAPALICIOUS???!! Honeeyyyyeeee that Eggs Benedict Hollandaise sauce was a symphony on my tongue! Oh and the Hibiscus Mimosa was the winner by FAR out of all that was on the Mimosa Tree. We made reservations for this past Sunday and noticed the table next to us had this beautiful Mimosa tree so we decided to do the same, you get four choices - Pineapple Juice, Pear, Strawberry Lemonade and Hibiscus were our selections. The Steak Tips and Eggs were scrumptious (as witnessed that the plate was clean) and the Belgian waffle hit the spot. Also the Acai bowl was enjoyed as well. Not a bad item did we have at our table. The bacon was a little over done but they replaced them as soon as we said something. Service was efficient and the ambiance here is so nice. Great spot for brunch! I will be back. I will say this stay away from the Pear Mimosa it didn't have any real flavor. Respectfully Reviewed.

Arancini and chicken bites

A good spot to get drinks before a show but I wouldn't go for dinner before a show again, service was just too slow but that can be expected before an event. Tried the arancini & chicken bites and both were pretty good.

Meatball pizza, no sauce, cardboard tasting crust, dry tasteless meatballs. Cumberland farms pizza is better

Awful pizza, taste like cardboard. No sauce, bad meatballs, dough cheap. Gad station pizza is probably better

Clicquot in the Snow was such a great experience located outside of Rail Stop. The atmosphere is a lodge in the slopes! Different for the Brighton area. Rail Stop has set this up very nicely with great food options and fantastic staff for the first evening to the public. The event is currently for this weekend to which they seem to have other events coming up. I love a very cold glass of the yellow label which was paired nicely with our appetizers. The ambience was definitely an après ski feel with great music. Offered an area to take group pictures with fur-like coats that make this experience even better! Worth the trip out to Brighton. I had reservations but walk-ins are welcomed as well.

Mimosa flight menu

Great food. Great vibes. Great service. We were in the area for a track meet and wanted to grab a bite while visiting the New Balance outlet. What a great choice. We arrived at 2:25 and were told that we could still get brunch despite it ending at 2:30. Score! I split a mimosa flight with a friend and made my own omelette. The mimosa flight had a beautiful presentation, one that I would love to recreate. My create-your-own omelette was cooked to perfection with spinach and pepperjack cheese. The plate had a mound of really good potatoes that this carb-restrictive diet just could not allow. The omelette also came with a bread of your choice. Definitely check out this spot if you're in the area.

A nice restaurant right by Brighton Landing stop. It can definitely be a great sports bar especially with the ice area so close by. I came here to celebrate a family dinner and was impressed with the food and service. We ordered a few appetizers to start the meal off and I got the scallops as my entree. They were cooked nicely and went well with the asparagus and mashed potatoes sides that we ordered to share. The place itself is quite big and also has outdoor patio seating for when the weather is nice out. Overall, great place to grab dinner at.

Lobster roll with fries

After reading all the reviews and seeing the less than impressive exterior, I wasn't sure what to expect at Rail Stop. But as I had just come from Warrior Ice Arena, the location was perfect. The interior is beautiful. Gorgeous light fixtures. It's clear that a lot of thought went into the design. The space feels more elevated than the price point would have you believe. I was greeted quickly by my server, and ordered the lobster roll and an old fashioned. The toast on the roll was perfect; more than enough lobster spilled from it. I ate every last bite, never touching the fries. If you're a connoisseur of old fashioneds, lace up your skates and get here. It was well balanced, served over a single cube of ice in a crystal rocks glass, and garnished with a lovely orange rose and dark cherry. My only regret? Living 3089 miles away.

Food was amazing. Atmosphere was what expected. Both times were sat in the bar area, so we didn't see full restaurant.

Oh, this place is nice. Rail stop has a very large bar and a good amour of seating. We only had a drink here. The martinis are very good.

Is this place kid friendly?

Depends on how old. I'd say the menu of burgers and fries and pizza would work well for kids. It's quieter at lunch but there can be some after-work drinks, so I'd come earlier in the day. Ask for a table on the upper tier, I don't think the higher… Read more

Night one we had an old fashion & the knee deep in passenger seat--both top notch! I paid more for my old fashioned earlier at the Ritz--this one was way better! With our daughter we had almost the rest of the menu: tropic like its hot, dirty gin martini, sour smash (gin) then mahattan, espresso martini & dirty shirley float. And she sent us celebratory house daiquiri shots with a bday candle. This is our new "go to" place. Emily & her team (Becca & India) were awesome hosts & helped us celebrate & remember this moment.

I would come here again, but maybe on a weekday night or earlier on Fridays or Saturdays.

There was a great singer, pianist, and sax player to really set the mood. They were super fun, especially when a couple got engaged! To start, I got their ginger martini and while my friend went with a Do-er neat (not a whiskey drinker myself, lol). He tried to order 2 of their beers but they were out of both. My drink came after 15 mins and then we had to remind the waiter about his whiskey. That took another 10. We started with the chicken bao buns and the samosas. Both spectacular! My only complaint is the little size for the samosa size. For our mains we got the short rib and the white butter chicken. The butter chicken could've used a bit more chicken for the price and was frankly a bit tough. The sauce was great. The short rib was flavorful and packed the perfect punch. Dipping the garlic naan in both sauces was my fav part!! Overall an ok experience. I want to give the restaurant grace because it was very packed but service was poor. I think we had 4 different staff members help us total which probably led to lots of miscommunication.

Alas, I came with my wife and daughter for a late dinner. And on that basis, it fails. Question. How does one ruin onion rings? Seriously. I've never been to a sports bar that botched fried menu items. The onion rings were rubbery and over-fried to oblivion. Not to mention, there were five of them. Five onion rings? Was it a small order? No. And they weren't the giant ones where you could say, ok I get it -- those are giant onion rings. The order was five average sized onion rings, which ended up being four too many since they were inedible. Not a good start. I had the fish and chips (I ordered this before I knew this place didn't know how to make bar food). The order was two small over-fried fish portions, and a handful of fries. The fish wasn't as epically bad as the onion rings, but they weren't good by even my lowly Michigan standards. The fries were ok and that measure makes them the strongest fare of the meal. Wife's salad was drenched with dressing. Daughter's fettuccini Alfredo was watery and weird tasting. The ambiance is great for a sports bar. Great old features and ample tvs to see the game. But this is not a kitchen to rely on. Come here for beer and TV and you'll be fine.

They have their seasonal cocktails that you can choose your choice of liquor for and martinis (both vodka and gin). They brew their espresso fresh as well so the space smells so good every time it is brewed. I got a Peru Plunder and it was fruity and light (a dangerous one). Our server was attentive and replenished our water for the table as soon as they were empty without our even asking. Food 5/5: every dish we ordered represented Sichuan flavors well, especially the spiciness of it! Our favorites were the eggplant with spicy garlic sauce, with the chengdu dry hot chicken and the string beans. The braised beef with Napa cabbage and mapo tofu were also delicious. Ambience 3/5: super loud. It wasn't even the music, it was that people's conversations were bouncing off the walls in a small space such that it was not possible to hear the other people in my group except who I was sitting next to. I saw several dates there and hopefully they could hear each other ok. Drinks: 2/5 overpriced and disappointing. My Negroni was ok but my husband's Manhattan tasted watery like it had been shaken instead of stirred and the melon highball tastes medicine-y. We ordered our standard Trader Vic's Mai Tai (not listed on the new menu) and sent it back as it was undrinkable--super sweet with an off-putting after taste. And the interior has changed, too. Lights in the dining room are much brighter, the inclusive flag is no longer in the front window, and the funky art in the bathrooms is gone. The management or something else is definitely different. The food was hit or miss. The sauce was overly thickened glop in both the chicken with garlic and the peppercorn beef special. Saving grace was our server who was apologetic and helpful.
