I don't really like writing bad reviews, it's really seldom of me to do so. But the way I was treated at this coffee shop was like insane. It's the craziest, rudest experience I ever had. I was waiting for my friend to meet up for coffee after our workout class. She had a few errands to run before hand, so I was waiting for 15 ish minutes? I got there between 11:50 and 12:00. At around 12:05, a guy (who works there) asks me to "get up and leave" twice in a very hostile, rude tone as he assumed that I was loitering??? I was really caught off guard as this is the first coffee place that's ever treated me this way. And I'm also not loitering?? Then, I explained that I was waiting for a friend and that I had just arrived and we would order when we are ready. He went inside, got a menu, and slammed it down on the table outside. I would maybe be more understanding if I was taking up a seat, and the place was packed and I hadn't ordered yet. BUT IT WAS EMPTY THOUGH. I literally took a picture of it, just to show. There was no one outside besides me. No wonder why!! This place has horrible customer service skills. Anyways, I was minding my own business and wasn't bothering anyone. They could've also asked me if I was ordering instead of assuming. Absolutely unprofessional, and a quick way to loose service. I left immediately. Because I'm not giving my money to someone who speaks to someone like that. I got coffee at Alfred's instead. Their coffee is better anyways. I think management team here needs to reevaluate their customer service skills! Like ASAP! No wonder the place is empty!! Just a reminder to be kind! You never know what someone else is going through. Kindness costs you nothing. I hope the server and manager who were so rude to me heal. Because you very obviously are taking your anger or frustrations out on the wrong person!

Very nice convenient coffee shop. They have a variety of American breakfast and coffees. They also offer burritos and tostadas. I ordered the delicious avocado toast. It came with a green salad. I also ordered some drinks for my company. They were not hungry so they just ask for that. The service was fast. I ordered at the counter and I went to seat down. They brought me the drinks right away and the toast right after. My food had plenty of avocado with some basil and chia. It was very satisfying. The salad had a little sweet tangy dressing. It was pretty good too. The ambience is familiar and cozy. They also have seating outside. If you are like me just browsing around I will recommend this place to relax for a little.

This charming little coffee shop has been a hidden gem since 1930, and it's easy to see why it's stood the test of time. The cozy, nostalgic vibe pairs perfectly with their delicious menu, everything is fresh, flavorful, and made with love. Their exotic lemonades are a must-try (the lavender is delicious ). The service was fast and friendly! BONUS: Even my picky kids cleaned their plates. A perfect spot for breakfast, brunch, or an afternoon treat, this place is a local treasure!

Breakfast in Beverly Hills is always amazing. My favorite item on the menu is the lemon ricotta pancakes. Oh my goodness, what a delicious treat. These pancakes are made from scratch, and served with warm butter, fruit, with warm maple syrup. Talia is the best, and she gave me hot water with lemon. Everything was so yummy, I eat the food before I could get the pictures.

Brighton Coffee Shop is such a cute little spot in Beverly Hills! I came here for breakfast and got a coffee and the eggs Benedict. Both were good. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly. Everything you can expect from a corner cafe!

    Beef bibimbap

Went there for lunch and ordered bibimbap with beef and lavender lemonade. Prices were reasonable for the area. Busy during lunch time but still managed to find a seat indoors. Bibimbap was delicious! It had good amounts of beef and mushrooms over a bed of well cooked brown rice. It was filling. I am not a big fan of their drinks though. Lavender lemonade was just Costco bought lemonade with lavender flavored sauce. Nothing much to say about it. I had a milk boba tea before and it practically tasted like watered down milk with lots of ice and a faint hint of tea. Service was excellent.

It's been 10 years since I was here. Little bit disappointing. I remembered it as a little coffee shop where you could sit down and enjoy a meal. Now it is post-covid with bare tables, no condiments or anything else on the tables. People come in mostly to get take away. Those who eat there sit at bare tables, scarf it down, and leave. I got a tuna melt which was a C at the most. The tuna didn't seem high quality, the cheese was barely noticed and they probably would have grilled it in canola oil if I hadn't asked for butter. There wasn't enough condiment in the tuna salad to make it tasty. The crinkly fries were real potatoes so they had a good flavor, but they were undercooked and not crispy. Guess it's a convenient low-end place for people zipping through BevHills or construction workers to get a quick meal but it doesn't merit a special trip. I will have to say that I'm glad this place is still here after all these years because it's so iconic. But I'm pretty sure it has changed ownership and doesn't have the same great Americana touch that it used to.

We had a lunch meeting and wanted to find something quick and easy. Also not too pricey so we walked into this place. I'd never been here before! Britt was a great host and server. He was very sweet and accommodating. I ordered a Caesar salad $8.99 and a coffee. The dressing wasn't really like the typical Caesar dressing but it was fresh and crispy. We ended up meeting a nice customer and had a great conversation so the ambiance was a friendly diner like vibe. There is free 2 hour parking on Brighton not too far from this cafe.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and the veggie sandwich with a slice of turkey but the spot. Good selection, good service, fresh food. Will be back...

    Beef Bulgogi

It doesn't look like a coffee shop that would serve Korean entrees, but to our pleasant surprise they had a variety of options! I went with the Beef Bulgogi ($14.99) but they also had an option for spicy pork. Thin iced of beef marinated in soy-ginger sauce, Korean style, grilled with mushroom and onion, served with teriyaki sauce, cabbage salad, sesame seed, and white rice. I loved the white rice & savory beef, and it hit the spot perfectly. For Rodeo Drive, this was an extremely delicious & reasonable offering. They have both indoor & outdoor seating, and the indoor area is really cute, with soft blues, white marble, large windows, & gold accents. The staff was very friendly, helpful, efficient, and attentive. Strong recommend if you're in the area and need a bite to eat!

    Latte

3.5 stars rounded up. Got the Rose Latte and that was a mistake. It was like tons of perfume was dumped in the coffee. I've had my fair share of floral-flavored lattes so was I expecting the artificial taste, but this was a little too much and I couldn't finish the drink. When I was ordering my cashier changed three times which I thought was a little odd but I guess that's their quirk. To be fair, I did take a moment to decide what I wanted and they're all friendly. Cute place to visit. They seem to be a better brunch spot than a coffee shop.

Absolutely delicious chocolate croissant! I went for a coffee and also got the chocolate croissant and wow I will say, that was the BEST I have ever tasted! I was back the very next day! Such a good morning coffee spot , well located in Beverly Hills Kind staff also !

The outdoor setting was perfect for people-watching, adding to the laid-back vibe of the place. The staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home. I decided to try the Dialog Breakfast Burrito, which has soft scrambled eggs, kielbasa sausage, and melted cheddar; crispy hash browns to add crunch, and the house-made spicy ketchup provides a zesty kick. I also enjoyed a Madagascar vanilla latte and fresh-squeezed orange juice. Let me tell you, the breakfast burrito was fantastic! The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the flavors blended beautifully. A special shout-out to Annika, who recommended the vanilla latte--it truly was heavenly! They use house-made vanilla syrup, which elevated the drink to a whole new level. While we didn't order it, I must mention the BLT that the table next to us had. It looked and smelled amazing, and they confirmed it was as good as it appeared. If you're looking for a chill spot with great food and friendly service, Dialog is definitely worth a visit!

This place has been such a staple in hollywood and it's always good. I love that they change the menu to try new things but also keep some of the old goodies. I'm not a French fry person (i don't order because i try to stay away from fried food) and it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - seasoned perfectly and pairs well with the aioli sauce. The eggs and morning plates are some of my favorite things here for breakfast and i love their croissants and cookies!! The chicken Caesar wrap is a huge hit and i know the Gen Z's love this according to my younger sister lol. I feel like you can't go wrong here, always something for everyone. We've brought friends and family here over the years and we'll always continue to do so. The service is also super friendly . I love that they expanded to the side walk because the wait times used to be even crazier when it was just the patio . I remember sooo well. Love the expansion. We came with a group of eight people around 4 PM, knowing the café closed at 5. We asked in advance if it would be okay for us to stay a little longer, and we were told that was completely fine since they have an outdoor patio and guests could stay as long as they were comfortable. The biggest issue was the service. Since the kitchen was about to close, they brought out everything at once appetizers, main dishes, and coffee. Our table wasn't big enough for all the food and drinks, so part of the order ended up on a nearby table. As a result, coffee was getting cold and hot dishes were cooling down while we were still eating appetizers. What made it even more awkward was that the staff kept asking us to move food from the neighboring table to ours, even though there was physically no room for it. We stayed for almost two hours, and no one ever needed that table. It would have made much more sense to bring the food out gradually instead of delivering everything at once. Another thing that stood out was that throughout the entire evening the servers seemed confused about who had ordered what. For a party of eight, I would expect a restaurant to keep track of which guest ordered each dish. Almost every time food arrived, there were questions about who it belonged to, and at one point they even brought a dish that belonged to a completely different table. Toward the end of the evening, we also felt a little rushed to leave, which was surprising since we had specifically asked beforehand if staying later would be okay and were told it wouldn't be a problem. Overall, the food was good, the atmosphere was nice, and we enjoyed spending time there. However, our bill was over $700, and for that kind of money I would expect a much smoother and more organized dining experience. I think they simply need to improve the organization and training of their service staff, because that's where most of the issues came from.

Fries were good this time, but I would go without the pizza in the future. On their final opening night I arrived too early; forgetting that dinner didn't start for an hour so I had the fries (again) while waiting for dinner. Thankfully, the order was put in a little earlier and I was able to enjoy the Penne alla Vodka. I was on the fence about the 20-Layer Cake but I ended up caving in, getting it to go for later. Unlike the first time I got this, they now had a perfect, custom box for the slice to fit whereas before they had to cut the cake in half to fit it into the box they had at the time. I know the New York location has delivery/to-go only, but there is still the Las Vegas one. During my foodie relatives' Thanksgiving week visit to Honolulu, we were discussing making…read morerestaurant reservations for our upcoming Christmas/New Year visit to Los Angeles. However, after we raved about our multiple dining experiences at LAVO Las Vegas, we were surprised to learn that none of our relatives had ever dined at the restaurant's Los Angeles location. So, when the opportunity arose, I made an after-Christmas dinner reservation through OpenTable and excitedly waited. We knew exactly where LAVO Los Angeles was located, as we had frequently driven past the Sunset Medical Tower on Sunset Boulevard and had eaten at the same restaurant space before it changed hands several times over the past decade or so. They offer valet service, which only accepts credit card payments, and because of the restaurant's location, you might as well use the service, because you'd be hard-pressed to find street parking. Our group of six arrived at the restaurant about 30 minutes before our reservation and were greeted by a friendly hostess who asked whether we were ready to be seated or preferred to wait in the bar. We chose to be seated, and she escorted us into the quiet, warm, yet festively decorated dining room. The busser approached us, took our water service request, and informed us about who our server would be. Our server, Addison, came to our table while the busser refilled our water glasses and offered assorted citrus slices to flavor them. After my brother-in-law showed Addison the magnum of wine he brought and asked if the sommelier could uncork the bottle, since it was not only a 2006 vintage but also had a long, possibly fragile cork, even though they kept the bottle in their personal wine storage. Unfortunately, they didn't have a sommelier on duty, and Addison informed us of the restaurant's impending end-of-year closure and confidently said she could uncork it with her trusty corkscrew. However, my brother-in-law decided to give it the "ol' college try" and successfully uncorked the bottle. FOOD: -Fritto Misto: a platter of lightly battered and fried zucchini, shrimp, calamari, and vinegary peppers with marinara was delivered to our table and was quickly shared and devoured. Everyone felt the fritto misto was light, delicious, and perfectly cooked. $28 -The Meatball: We've often seen this appetizer ordered at the Las Vegas site, but we never ordered it because we felt it was too much food to share between us. However, now that we had our family surrounding us, we ordered it. The 16-oz meatball is made with fresh-ground imperial Wagyu, Italian sausage, and veal. It is served with whipped ricotta and marinara. We shared the tender, toothsome meatball among us and sopped up the sauce with garlic bread. $34 -Semolina Sesame Garlic Bread: Addison highly recommended this garlic bread to pair with The Meatball and sipping on our Cabernet blend wine. The lightly grilled-toasted loaf was served with three dipping sauces (marinara, basil pesto, & Gorgonzola dolce). $18 -Zitoni Genovese: braised short rib, sweet onions, pecorino Romano. I received a generous portion of Neapolitan or Sicilian zitoni pasta (larger ziti tubes) and an intensely flavorful, tomato-wine-based, fall-apart tender, slow-braised short ribs ragù. This comfort-food pasta dish was so rich and filling that I could barely eat half the portion and ended up bringing home leftovers. $33 -Faroe Island Salmon Oreganato: My husband cut into the salmon filet, which had a light crisp coating of breadcrumbs and revealed the fillet's tender medium-rare doneness. The rich, buttery-tasting salmon filet sat atop a melange of sautéed vegetables and was dressed with a lemon, white wine, and garlic butter sauce. My husband jokingly said he could feel his heart health improving with each bite. $39 The rest of my family ordered their own entrees, and when we were nearly finished with our meals, we decided to share a dessert. We ordered the luscious 20 Layer Chocolate Cake ($29), and each of us commented on the "decadence" of chocolate, peanut butter, and mascarpone. During our dining experience, Addison informed us that LAVO Los Angeles would sadly be closing at the end of the year. We were happy to have supported this restaurant, and it was great to see so many others show their support during the Holidays.

We were greeted and offered a table by the bar near the screens with the condition that we needed to be done by 6:30. Well that wasn't going to work because the game started at 6pm. We sat ourselves at the end of the bar about 20 feet from the two tv screens...perfect! The good: the space is beautiful. Warm pretzel bites with fondue were amazing. The garlic fries were crispy. The Sangria was delicious. The bad: bar service was minimal despite a sparse crowd at the bar. I had to reach across the bar counter to grab myself drink coasters for my Sangria, beer, water and my friend's beverage because the condensation kept dripping on my clothes. The bar tender never bothered to come back and check how my cocktail was as most bar tenders do. The fact that there were three makes it more astounding. The really bad: there was a power outage in the restaurant (not the entire block) 5 minutes before kickoff. 10-15 minutes into the game the power came back on but only one tv was functional. Early on there was a bit of a rush to rectify the matter but as time went on, it seemed to become a non-issue despite concern from those around the bar that we couldn't watch the game. No apologies were offered by management at the time. Not even water was offered a jester of good faith while they sorted out the issue. Like a few others, we decided to cut our losses and left at half time. The buzz at the bar was to meet at Lucky Strikes to finish watching the game. Prior to leaving I approached a woman who seemed concerned with the tv malfunction and asked if she was part of the management. She responded that she was and I proceeded to explain my utter disappointment in the experience. She looked profoundly distraught with my observations...At least that's what I told myself in order to not feel like this had been a complete waste of time. We left without having dinner while watching the game. What a shame because the menu sounded appealing. Oh, BTW the high top table in front of the tv was still vacant by the time we left at half time. Not sure it would've mattered because the tv was malfunctioning anyway. I am truly puzzled by what made the author of the article think that The Henry would be a great place to catch a game of any sort. Our server, the space, decor, location and menu items we tried were amazing. The overall attention to detail, attentiveness to customers and overall experience was not one that I would recommend on a Friday night during the World Cup. CLEARLY, the author missed his mark on this one. Oddly enough, we ran into four others from The Henry at Lucky Strikes. No electricity/media issues there.

The professional way they package their meals for travel holds up well and the food arrives hot (or cold) and fresh and pretty well presented for traveling a few miles via delivery jockey. They're also quick at fulfilling orders so that these drivers can get in/out quickly. The guys really enjoy the quality and flavor of the food and we'll keep on ordering!

Imma give Joan's burrito a D- (imagine your English professor writing with her thicc, red sharpie,…read morein ALL CAPS, and circling it at the top of the page)! Innards were dry and the ends of the tortilla were stale. Plus the guac was flavorless and...frozen? In LA, I believe screwing up the simplest of guac recipes is sacrilege. Is anyone hyping this place? The staff weren't interested, and the food is terrible. Really, though, I couldn't care less about the staff. I've said it before and I'll say it again: the cashier could punch me in the face, but as long as the food's primo, I'm fine. Oi. LA has some of the BEST food in the nation! Some are even claiming, "Better than NYC." Michelin stars and Bib Gourmand recs cascade through our city, so why waste your time (and money!) on anything less than spectacular.
