I was in LA for a day so I had to stop by community goods! I didn't want to wait in line all day so I went to the Pacific Design Center location and it was a very good move. There was a line but it wasn't as long as the original community goods line. I got the matcha einspanner and it was so yummy. I love it so much and I miss it already! If you don't want to wait too long in line, make sure to stop by this community goods!
I passed by this place 1 million times and always see a huge line, I'm not a fan of waiting line so I never stopped to get it. Last Sunday the line was a little bit shorter, and I was craving coffee so I decided to try it for the first time. I was thinking to myself, I hope this coffee is not super good so I don't have to ever come back again lol, hahahaha. However, the coffee turns out to be great. The matcha also fantastic , so I guess I'll be back. On the sidenote, the lime look long that's because the store is very small, so if you see like 10 people lining up your way, my only be 10-15 minutes, no worse than Starbucks during rush hour!
I'll be honest. I wasn't sure if waiting over an hour for a matcha einspanner could possibly be worth it. When I first got here and saw the line, I seriously questioned my decision. But after taking my first sip... I completely understood the hype. The Matcha einspanner is absolutely heavenly. It's rich, creamy, perfectly sweet, and one of the best matcha drinks I've ever had. We also ordered the pistachio bread and the sliders for breakfast, and both were delicious. The pistachio bread was soft and flavorful, and the sliders made for a satisfying breakfast. Yes, you'll probably have to wait, but in my opinion, it's worth experiencing at least once. If you're a matcha lover, this place definitely deserves a spot on your list.
Stopped by here early on a Saturday morning and there was virtually no line! Parking was easy too--you can either find street parking or use the 15-minute pickup/drop-off curb right in front. Service was quick, and my drink was delicious. Just a heads up: this location doesn't serve their full food menu, only grab-and-go items. If you're just looking for a quality coffee or drink without the long wait, this is a great alternative!
Everyone cannot stop talking about community goods and hyping it up. I've. lived in LA my entire life, and had somehow never tried it until now. I've had a lot of matchas this year, and honestly this one really is pretty good, and I understand why its so popular. I don't think its worth waiting 20 minutes in the LA sun kinda good, but I would rank it pretty highly on taste overall. It has a strong matcha flavor and the sweetness level was well balanced.
A friend visiting from out of town wanted to come here because of the hype but we specifically chose this location because we heard that the wait wasn't nearly as bad as the location down the street - I think because they don't sell food at this one? There's a driveway situation right in front that I think you can temporarily park at but I wasn't sure at the time so we parked on the street. It was the Friday of Memorial Day weekend so all the meters had free parking, which was a nice surprise! There was virtually no wait when we walked up which was amazing. Someone takes your order at a stand and then you wait separately for your name to be called. We waited maybe 5 minutes total. The matcha did not disappoint and I would come back!

Lavender flavor was definitely stronger than the maple flavor. Got there within a few minutes of them opening on a Saturday morning. The wait was about 30 minutes. This location doesn't have the sliders like the other location which makes me sad because I want to try it but the wait at this location I feel like is better than the other location.
Average tasting matcha that tastes better once you take a pic and post it on Instagram and let the haters know you're outsideeeeeee. Long line, average service, a lil bit of seating. Plain building.
At first I just wanted the matcha latte which was $8. However it doesn't come sweetened so you would have to pay more to add it. So instead I got the matcha einspanner, which comes with a cream top foam sweetened. The matcha drinks here are small and expensive for a decent drink. It wasn't bad but it didn't blow me away. It also doesn't help that we got it on a hot day and waited in the sun for it. For $8.50, you might as well go to Stagger coffee instead. Don't see the hype and wouldn't recommend it to friends.

We had the vanilla latte and the matcha einspanner, both of which we found to be worth the hype! My vanilla latte in particular was not too sweet and not too milky.
I got the yuzu espresso tonic and it was so yummy! The yuzu complimented the coffee so well! My friend said she enjoyed the matcha. Service was quick too 10/10

There were about 30 people in line when we came around 2:30 on a Saturday, but it went pretty quick. These staff are killer! We ordered two einspanners and they were delicious, definitely my favorite matcha drink in LA. There are no public bathrooms at this spot but it is close to lots of shops/restaurants. Parking was also pretty easy too.
Matcha Einspanner w/ Oatmilk: 5/5 Best matcha I've ever had. I'm more of a Belieber now in matcha and Justin Bieber. Wish I saw Justin Bieber but that's okay. Line wasn't too long for a Monday afternoon around 2pm. Maybe a 15 min wait. Only outdoor seating available. Ambiance is whatever. Outdoor vibe with many young LA hipster ppl. This line wasn't as long compared to the actually small indoor location where JB was spotted. We drove past that and forget about it. Line was too long.

Both the Matcha and Hojicha Einspanner Latte were great! Super creamy and delicious! BF said it was the best Hojicha drink he's ever had. I personally only waited 5 mins to order on a Saturday afternoon- you have to wait on the steps of the building and its window service only. If I had to wait longer than 5 mins- I probably would go to a different matcha spot- but if it's a short wait it's totally worth it! read more

Scrolling through social media, we saw a matcha place close to where we were and just had to give it a try! The matcha was alright--not bad, but I don't think I'd personally line up for it. The Yuzu Sparkling Water, though, was really good! Super refreshing with that unique citrusy yuzu flavor. Definitely enjoyed that one! read more

I will always pay for community goods. it's just that worth it to me. I think especially on this side of town it's the best you can get. very high quality matcha and not too sweet. the cream top on the spanners are also not overwhelming the matcha either. yeah there's a wait, but the line at the pdc goes by quick. I will be brave one day and bear the wait at melrose to try the sliders, Im more than happy to go to the pdc location in the time being read more

Community goods matcha always hits! For some reason this location hits even better and the salt sprinkled on top is amazing to make the taste pop. Line moves faster here as they don't have the sandwiches which may be the reason. Love their matcha 10/10. read more

Matcha Eispanner 3/5: This location is lighter on the matcha. Original location makes it better. They also don't serve the breakfast sandwiches here only pastries. This is good to help the line move faster. If we were able to customize and add a shot of matcha it could've been better. Unfortunately it's restricted for this off menu item. Yuzu sparking coffee 2.5/5: interesting flavor, refreshing and could see it growing in some people. Ambience: The shade posts help a lot with the sun. Good spot to grab and go. read more
went around 8:30am on a sunday We got the matcha latte with vanilla syrup, matcha einspanner, americano, yuzu sparkling lemonade (not pictured), and the breakfast sliders with bacon. We waiting approximately 1.5 hours. The matcha is always good, I like how the matcha latte is not too sweet and I love that the einspanner has salt on top. This was my first time having any of their coffee/espresso drinks, the espresso was a bit bitter. The breakfast sliders are always good, I got avocado last time but I think the bacon is better. It adds a different texture to the sandwich (since avocado is also soft), and I love the saltiness it adds. Would I wait this long for Community Goods again? Not sure, but it is always yummy when I get it! They do get the food and drinks out relatively quickly though, which I appreciate! read more

Community Goods is so hyped, and so worth the hype. Get the einspanner latte. Then go to the other location to get the sliders. I used to never be a coffee person before trying it... and now I only go here, way too many times to count. I used to only go to the original location, but this one is pretty similar. Would definitely recommend... dreaming of when I can go back to LA and get this everyday. read more

Honestly, the original community goods location was amazing so I had no doubt this location would be too. I absolutely did not like my matcha - it was super milky and so sweet. I even asked for reduced sweetness. It feels like the quality has definitely tanked which is unfortunate. It is an outdoor location and parking can be though but it is much more casual and central in some ways. I don't think I'll be back since I feel like there is definitely better quality matcha at other places. read more
I thought the line was an event for the Pacific Design, definitely not the coffee kiosk as I was in a rush. There's not a lot of parking, so I dropped of The Princess and squeezed into a small spot across the street. I stayed in my car and realized she was in this huge line for coffee and matcha. No way was I waiting. She said she was almost at the front and bought me the most amazing coffee I have had (Einspanner?) She had a matcha and said they import t from Japan. She knows all the places. Totally worth the wait. People watching and a car show from across the street made the time go by a tiny bit faster. Dangerous, but a guy was doing "wheelies"'on his motorcycle, too. read more
3.5 stars, but rounding to 4. I really appreciated that this location's line isn't as insane as the other location's. Even though this line can appear to be long, the service is truly quick. The person at the window taking orders was also super helpful and friendly. The matcha was surprisingly ok! I loved the syrup in mine a lot, but both my friend and I felt like the drinks were a bit too salty. I would probably order from here again if I were in the area. The "coffee shop" is located in the cylinder right outside the building. read more

i have to admit this place really lives up to the hype! it is usually a long wait line but i have to admit it was really worth it, i was shocked to see they use "Rocky's matcha" as their matcha source which is one of my favorite matcha sources. i ordered my matcha latte unsweetened with almond milk and it was so good i really couldn't believe how great this spot is! oh community goods i will be missing you from Vegas, but this is a must go spot for sure. they have lots of grass/sitting areas if you want to enjoy the grass or study, ect i think is really to be able to catch a break from the main chaos ongoing on melrose :) read more

Line moved fast and service was great. Even though they are busy they greet you and have a smile. They seem to have a good flow and system of getting the drinks out quickly. Don't be intimated by the lines. I waited maybe 10min from start to finish. The matcha latte and latte were both great. I'm really into the cold foam these days. read more

Community Goods was incredibly underwhelming given the amount of hype that it got last year, especially for their matcha. I was excited knowing that they used Rocky's Matcha having heard that Rocky's was one of the top matcha powders recommended for at-home lattes.. Unfortunately, I was only let down. While the Matcha Einspanner was decent as a drink to sip on, this goodness only lasted about five minutes and I only tasted the cream top (even when the drink was mixed). The maple lavender matcha was overwhelmingly just lavender syrup. While I understand many enjoy the taste of lavender-flavored milk, that was not what I paid $8 for. Neither had a strong matcha taste at all, if any. We tried the Iced Coffee Einspanner just so we wouldn't base our review solely off of their matcha drinks, but it would also, simply be described as "mid." Luckily, the line wasn't that long when we got there to order, and the drinks only took a few minutes to come out... Nonetheless, I wouldn't come back here knowing that there are so many other quality coffee + matcha shops in Los Angeles. read more
First time visiting this location and it was a pretty good experience. Set up as a small kiosk right in the front of the pacific design center they're serving the same high quality coffee and matcha that community goods is known for. I ordered the maple lavender matcha which was excellent as always, and my partner got the vanilla latte, which he said was one of the best vanilla latte he's had by far. Only downside is they don't serve food at this location which was a bit of a bummer since I was craving their breakfast sliders. Aside from that, go here if you want to skip the long lines at the other locations. Plus, the people watching is just as good here too. read more
Their einspanners are pretty darn good. They will make a matcha einspanner, even though it is not explicitly on their menu. It carries a hefty price tag but is worth it to try once at least. Lovely creamy and sweet top along with a medium flavor of matcha--not clumpy. The coffee einspanner is a popular item to get while you're there, and it's so pretty! It was a LONG LINE when we went on a rainy day. It's outdoors so be sure to bring an umbrella! read more
This Community Goods location is located in a little kiosk outside of the Pacific Design Center and, thankfully, has a shorter line then their main location. We waited about 10 minutes which wasn't bad for a Sunday afternoon. On this visit. I got a vanilla bean latte and my partner got the maple lavender matcha. Both drinks were excellent. The vanilla bean latte was easily the best vanilla latte I've had, it didn't have any of the artificial vanilla flavor that is common at some other shops. The maple lavender matcha used good quality matcha and had a nice pleasant maple flavor. The only downside to this location is they don't serve food, but it's a small trade off to avoid the lines at their other location! read more

We came for the Matcha's and they were 10/10! We asked the host for recommendations and she picked both my boyfriend and I drinks. I had the Einspsanner latte with oatmilk as a match, and my boyfriend got a lavender matcha. Both had the perfect amount of sweetness no need to add in my opinion. Service was very quick despite their being a line. read more
Parking is kind of a hassle, but it's good matcha. Yum. I heard their lemonade is amazing as well. The staff is friendly! The place is outside in a stand, but it has a lot of outdoor chairs and tables you can sit and do work on! read more
