A friend visiting from out of town wanted to come here because of the hype but we specifically chose this location because we heard that the wait wasn't nearly as bad as the location down the street - I think because they don't sell food at this one? There's a driveway situation right in front that I think you can temporarily park at but I wasn't sure at the time so we parked on the street. It was the Friday of Memorial Day weekend so all the meters had free parking, which was a nice surprise! There was virtually no wait when we walked up which was amazing. Someone takes your order at a stand and then you wait separately for your name to be called. We waited maybe 5 minutes total. The matcha did not disappoint and I would come back! read more

My favorite matcha einspanner, it was just so yummy. The matcha, the cream, with just a touch of salt. We also tried the maple lavender matcha. This one reminded us of cereal milk. Lavender flavor was definitely stronger than the maple flavor. Got there within a few minutes of them opening on a Saturday morning. The wait was about 30 minutes. This location doesn't have the sliders like the other location which makes me sad because I want to try it but the wait at this location I feel like is better than the other location. read more

Matcha Einspanner w/ Oatmilk: 5/5 Best matcha I've ever had. I'm more of a Belieber now in matcha and Justin Bieber. Wish I saw Justin Bieber but that's okay. Line wasn't too long for a Monday afternoon around 2pm. Maybe a 15 min wait. Only outdoor seating available. Ambiance is whatever. Outdoor vibe with many young LA hipster ppl. This line wasn't as long compared to the actually small indoor location where JB was spotted. We drove past that and forget about it. Line was too long. read more

Community Goods is so hyped, and so worth the hype. Get the einspanner latte. Then go to the other location to get the sliders. I used to never be a coffee person before trying it... and now I only go here, way too many times to count. I used to only go to the original location, but this one is pretty similar. Would definitely recommend... dreaming of when I can go back to LA and get this everyday. read more

Honestly, the original community goods location was amazing so I had no doubt this location would be too. I absolutely did not like my matcha - it was super milky and so sweet. I even asked for reduced sweetness. It feels like the quality has definitely tanked which is unfortunate. It is an outdoor location and parking can be though but it is much more casual and central in some ways. I don't think I'll be back since I feel like there is definitely better quality matcha at other places. read more

Matcha Eispanner 3/5: This location is lighter on the matcha. Original location makes it better. They also don't serve the breakfast sandwiches here only pastries. This is good to help the line move faster. If we were able to customize and add a shot of matcha it could've been better. Unfortunately it's restricted for this off menu item. Yuzu sparking coffee 2.5/5: interesting flavor, refreshing and could see it growing in some people. Ambience: The shade posts help a lot with the sun. Good spot to grab and go. read more

i have to admit this place really lives up to the hype! it is usually a long wait line but i have to admit it was really worth it, i was shocked to see they use "Rocky's matcha" as their matcha source which is one of my favorite matcha sources. i ordered my matcha latte unsweetened with almond milk and it was so good i really couldn't believe how great this spot is! oh community goods i will be missing you from Vegas, but this is a must go spot for sure. they have lots of grass/sitting areas if you want to enjoy the grass or study, ect i think is really to be able to catch a break from the main chaos ongoing on melrose :) read more

went around 8:30am on a sunday We got the matcha latte with vanilla syrup, matcha einspanner, americano, yuzu sparkling lemonade (not pictured), and the breakfast sliders with bacon. We waiting approximately 1.5 hours. The matcha is always good, I like how the matcha latte is not too sweet and I love that the einspanner has salt on top. This was my first time having any of their coffee/espresso drinks, the espresso was a bit bitter. The breakfast sliders are always good, I got avocado last time but I think the bacon is better. It adds a different texture to the sandwich (since avocado is also soft), and I love the saltiness it adds. Would I wait this long for Community Goods again? Not sure, but it is always yummy when I get it! They do get the food and drinks out relatively quickly though, which I appreciate! read more

The line was long and slow, waiting ~20 minutes. However, I got the matcha einspanner and it was delicious! One of the best matchas I've had. The employees are polite and friendly too. However, not sure if I'd make the drive there and wait in the line again, since it gets pretty crowded and is hard to find parking. There is an area you can park, but people park in the red zone and it's hard to maneuver through so there should be better monitoring of that. But maybe in the future when I want to treat myself or others, will make the drive back over. read more

Came here on a Sunday morning. There was a line, but it wasn't that long. I ordered the Matcha Eispanner and it was so good. My husband got the Vanilla Bean Coffee, but he said there was no vanilla bean taste at all. We were expecting to get the sliders, but the staff told us those are only at the other location. She even asked if there was a long line over there, we said no, and explained that we came to this location instead since it was nearby. Overall, great matcha drink, but disappointing on the vanilla bean flavor and the sliders not being available here. read more

I thought the line was an event for the Pacific Design, definitely not the coffee kiosk as I was in a rush. There's not a lot of parking, so I dropped of The Princess and squeezed into a small spot across the street. I stayed in my car and realized she was in this huge line for coffee and matcha. No way was I waiting. She said she was almost at the front and bought me the most amazing coffee I have had (Einspanner?) She had a matcha and said they import t from Japan. She knows all the places. Totally worth the wait. People watching and a car show from across the street made the time go by a tiny bit faster. Dangerous, but a guy was doing "wheelies"'on his motorcycle, too. read more

3.5 stars, but rounding to 4. I really appreciated that this location's line isn't as insane as the other location's. Even though this line can appear to be long, the service is truly quick. The person at the window taking orders was also super helpful and friendly. The matcha was surprisingly ok! I loved the syrup in mine a lot, but both my friend and I felt like the drinks were a bit too salty. I would probably order from here again if I were in the area. The "coffee shop" is located in the cylinder right outside the building. read more

Community Goods was incredibly underwhelming given the amount of hype that it got last year, especially for their matcha. I was excited knowing that they used Rocky's Matcha having heard that Rocky's was one of the top matcha powders recommended for at-home lattes.. Unfortunately, I was only let down. While the Matcha Einspanner was decent as a drink to sip on, this goodness only lasted about five minutes and I only tasted the cream top (even when the drink was mixed). The maple lavender matcha was overwhelmingly just lavender syrup. While I understand many enjoy the taste of lavender-flavored milk, that was not what I paid $8 for. Neither had a strong matcha taste at all, if any. We tried the Iced Coffee Einspanner just so we wouldn't base our review solely off of their matcha drinks, but it would also, simply be described as "mid." Luckily, the line wasn't that long when we got there to order, and the drinks only took a few minutes to come out... Nonetheless, I wouldn't come back here knowing that there are so many other quality coffee + matcha shops in Los Angeles. read more

First time visiting this location and it was a pretty good experience. Set up as a small kiosk right in the front of the pacific design center they're serving the same high quality coffee and matcha that community goods is known for. I ordered the maple lavender matcha which was excellent as always, and my partner got the vanilla latte, which he said was one of the best vanilla latte he's had by far. Only downside is they don't serve food at this location which was a bit of a bummer since I was craving their breakfast sliders. Aside from that, go here if you want to skip the long lines at the other locations. Plus, the people watching is just as good here too. read more

Their einspanners are pretty darn good. They will make a matcha einspanner, even though it is not explicitly on their menu. It carries a hefty price tag but is worth it to try once at least. Lovely creamy and sweet top along with a medium flavor of matcha--not clumpy. The coffee einspanner is a popular item to get while you're there, and it's so pretty! It was a LONG LINE when we went on a rainy day. It's outdoors so be sure to bring an umbrella! read more

This Community Goods location is located in a little kiosk outside of the Pacific Design Center and, thankfully, has a shorter line then their main location. We waited about 10 minutes which wasn't bad for a Sunday afternoon. On this visit. I got a vanilla bean latte and my partner got the maple lavender matcha. Both drinks were excellent. The vanilla bean latte was easily the best vanilla latte I've had, it didn't have any of the artificial vanilla flavor that is common at some other shops. The maple lavender matcha used good quality matcha and had a nice pleasant maple flavor. The only downside to this location is they don't serve food, but it's a small trade off to avoid the lines at their other location! read more

So they use Rockys matcha which I absolutely love but they dont allow adjustments and how their matcha comes it is not as strong they should use more grams per serving. I had to beg them to allow an extra shot and they reluctantly said yes to adding it and im like ??? I am asking to pay you to add a shot just do it. I dont get why businesses dont have better customer service. also, they wouldnt allow adjustments to milk amount bc of their "formula" getting messed up. 1 stars for using a high quality brand- rockys matcha bc i LOVE that brand but everything else can be done better. read more

The man ahead of us asked for a cup holder but when we asked we were told that we can't have one if we are staying. Had a better experience at this location than the other. Parking is easier to find (residential street parking, 15 min passenger drop off parking, or metered parking). The line was short on a Friday morning and I didn't wait long for my drinks. There is also plenty of tables to sit with umbrellas. Would be nice if they had the breakfast sliders like the Melrose location but it is a mini location. Their matcha einspanner was great as always. Rockys matcha is ceremonial grade so the latte was top quality. I also tried their pistachio croissant that was delicious! read more

I used to make the hour drive to community goods like 3x a week in the summer of 2024. everytime I try a good matcha place and i start to think community goods not that good, I try it again and it is SOOOOO good. The subtle sweetness/salty-ness of the cream top with rocky's matcha is just so so good that it's one of my top most flavorfully made matcha drinks. Now why it's 4 starts---Coming back in the summer of 2025, it is... okay. Matcha definitely not as strong as it used to be (sadly) but I still enjoy it regardless! Possible consequence of the matcha shortage... Also be prepared to only have like 15 sips before the drink is gone. Also this place has a smaller line compared to the og location! read more

Despite the line it moved fairly quickly! I was in West Hollywood for an event and finally gave in and decided to try community goods. I ordered a matcha with cold foam and it was roughly $8. The matcha was a bit grainy and the flavor was just okay! The foam made it better, once they were combined. I will say this spot is street parking only which can be a hassle on weekends! Please be advised you'll need coins or a credit card to pay for parking. Do not park and hope they won't ticket you as there's a lot of parking enforcement in the area. read more

They do use Rocky's Matcha as well which got me even more excited. However, even though my first impression of the drinks were positive, as I kept drinking and tasting it more, the drink was mediocre at best. Community goods has been here for literally a year! If not almost. I have been a customer of theirs for quite sometime now and honestly can say they have officially perfected the art of coffee. I come here nearly daily (literally). Their Einspanner and Twin tonics have a chokehold on me. Everything is perfectly crafted and offers such depth in flavor. The Einspanner is my go to for sure. They offer it in three variations. The Classic Einspanner which is made with espresso which is my fav. The Coffee Einspanner which is literally coffee with the cream top, for those who can't handle the espresso. The Matcha Einspanner which is the crowd favorite. Literally people wait 30+ minutes in line to get it. They offer light bites such as croissants in variety of options, ham and cheese being my absolute FAV. It has a delicious mustard. They also offer other pastries but honestly get the hand and cheese. They also offer a gem salad which is pretty costly ($17?) and it's pretty big but very simple. If you're in the market for a full meal, I'd go elsewhere. It's not so much the service that takes long, it's putting in your order. Crowds hangout here and make social media posts which flood the area. Service is friendly! Some may be intimidated by all the trendy people and gorgeous influencers that tend to hangout but at the end of the day, it's just Java. Staff is super laid back, easy going and very professional. I find my two fav baristas to be very personable and I for sure see that shine through regardless of the time of day. As mentioned previously, parking on the street is tough but the structure in the PDC offers free 20 minutes. The hype is honestly is real. If you find this location to be too busy, check out their other location not too far from this spot. I love the community that this has brought and hope they stick around! read more

this branch of community goods is set up in the kiosk in front of the pacific design center (PDC). look for the DESIGN CAFE signage as it is much more prominent than the community goods logo. ORDERS 01. HOJICHA SPÄNNER ($8) this continues to be the strongest, best-tasting hojicha i have had amongst all the cafes i visited in LA and NY. it's an off-menu item, and it has noticeably hiked up in price. 02. MATCHA LATTE ($8) this is "not too sweet" by default and approved by my partner who holds ridiculously high standards for food and drink. (yes, he can cook.) WAIT TIME thankfully, the wait to order at the PDC branch is not as long as the wait to order at the original branch. my friends and i arrived at this location a little after 12pm on a sunday. the time we spent lining up, ordering our drinks, and receiving our drinks totaled around 20 minutes. service was quick and efficient. we were handed a buzzard that vibrated as soon as our order was ready to be picked up. the patio umbrellas provided us reprieve from the summer heat while we were in line. SEATING seating is limited to 5 tables and accompanying chairs. this branch is great for patrons who just want to grab and go. PARKING finding metered parking on melrose continues to be a perpetual challenge. be warned that parking in the area is NOT free on sundays. read more

After trying the original Community Goods location, we were excited to hear that a new one had opened up in WeHo! After waiting hours in line at the original location, we had hope that this location would be quicker. It's fully outdoors and you order at the window. Parking in the area was a bit tough but after circling around a little, we found street parking. We got here on a Saturday afternoon and the line moved a lot more quickly, we probably waited about 30-40 minutes, which was way better compared to the wait we've had at the other location. We got the einspanner and the vanilla lattes, both were great and consistent with the quality from the other location. We were disappointed to see that this location did not have the breakfast sliders as that was our favorite part last time, but I guess it makes sense why the line is a lot quicker. Coming here definitely makes sense if you just want the coffee and don't care for the sliders. read more

I'd give it 3 stars. The matcha was much sweeter than I expected and didn't have much umami flavor. I ordered it without cream and asked for only 0.5 oz of sweetener, but it still tasted overly sweet to me. Honestly, it tasted a bit like cereal milk even with my order modifications. It feels more like a trendy matcha rather than a balanced one in terms of favor. It's not bad at all, just not my personal preference since I prefer matcha that has a good balance of umami flavor and sweetness without being too sweet. read more

Now, on to the cafe itself! Verve offers a variety of drinks along with pastries for sale, and they even hosted a cookbook popup during my recent visit. I usually get espresso-based drinks or their cold brew, and I've never been disappointed by the drink quality or the time it takes to prepare my beverages. There's ample seating both indoors and outdoors, and I could see why this would be a popular spot for reading or getting work on your laptop done.

Anyway, we had time for a round before the show. The big black door did not give us an indication of what was inside, but the 1970's art deco font of the bar name did. Inside it felt more like a Studio 54-era lounge with a big rectangular bar in the middle. However, the owners managed to avert tackiness and provide comfy plushness. The period artwork, gray banquettes, and massive amoeba-shaped chandeliers add to the sophisticated ambiance. This was definitely not the typical WeHo club west of La Cienega. There's no dance floor, so you won't hear clunky platform shoes on a rainbow florescent floor. However, you'll likely hear classic Donna Summer or Earth, Wind & Fire wafting through the space. With their black, open-collar shirts and untied sequin bow ties, the bartenders were cute and attentive.
