Honestly, the original community goods location was amazing so I had no doubt this location would be too. I absolutely did not like my matcha - it was super milky and so sweet. I even asked for reduced sweetness. It feels like the quality has definitely tanked which is unfortunate. This was my first time having any of their coffee/espresso drinks, the espresso was a bit bitter. The breakfast sliders are always good, I got avocado last time but I think the bacon is better. I was excited knowing that they used Rocky's Matcha having heard that Rocky's was one of the top matcha powders recommended for at-home lattes.. Unfortunately, I was only let down. Neither had a strong matcha taste at all, if any. We tried the Iced Coffee Einspanner just so we wouldn't base our review solely off of their matcha drinks, but it would also, simply be described as "mid." And the manager Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager (Edward ) was extremely rude and disrespectful toward her. What makes this experience particularly disturbing is that my daughter was wearing a Jewish Star necklace. After the manager noticed it and apparently realized that she was Jewish, his behavior became even more offensive, and he called my daughter a "loser." There is absolutely no excuse for speaking to a customer that way under any circumstances. And if someone's treatment of a customer changes because they are Jewish--or because they are wearing a symbol of their faith--that is deeply troubling and completely unacceptable. A customer asking for a drink to be remade does not deserve hostility, insults, or humiliation. A manager should know how to handle a simple customer-service issue with professionalism and basic human decency. I hope the owners take this incident seriously and address the manager's behavior. No customer should leave a business feeling disrespected or targeted because of their religion. I know they are successful today, but without us, they are nothing. Customers comes first.
