    Spinach & Goat Cheese Omelet
    Meghan T.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Kings Road Cafe is packed on the weekend and it's got the cutest old-school cafe vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I stopped by with a friend on a Friday morning for breakfast. The service was quick and polite. I ordered the spinach and goat cheese omelette. There was definitely plenty of food; I ended up taking half of my portion home. The plate was $20. I just wasn't blown away by the flavor of the food. It was a really good classic omelette, but I didn't think it was amazing by any means. Next time I'd be curious to try one of their bakery items instead. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think this place would be great for a study spot during the week.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I visited this spot for a Sunday breakfast and my experience here was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant looked like a great spot for a breakfast since they have lots of outdoor seating by the road which reminded me of European cafes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Firstly, for the drink I got an iced mocha latte. It was pretty good and married the espresso and chocolate flavors well. For my main dish, I ordered eggs benedict and it was decent. The presentation of it was good and it was unique since they used a croissant bun for the eggs benedict. However, the croissant didn't seem very fresh and neither were the potatoes, the textures just seemed a bit off. The overall dish was still enjoyable though. The eggs were cooked well and were jammy and the canadian bacon was solid. The service here was solid as well. For parking, there's street parking and metered parking nearby. Overall, a decent experience here. I would maybe come back if someone invited me or if it was convenient, but I would still opt for other breakfast/brunch places in the neighborhood.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a cafe side where you can take your order to go and the restaurant side.Nice outside seating.Place always have people when driving by.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]That spinach and goat cheese omelette was delicious and those potatoes were done perfectly with some good seasoning.[[HIGHLIGHT]]Perfect spot to grab breakfast brunch or lunch w someone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Potato's cold. Burrito looks good, but is bland as heck

Not the greatest breakfast burrito I've had . Judging from the neighboring tables food outside, could be the case I ordered one of their weakest items as the other food was Visually appealing. So I thought the breakfast burrito had some sort of meat. I don't read the fine print . This was indeed a vegetarian bean/guacamole/ egg burrito. I will say, the actually tortilla shell was warm and grilled nicely: Everything else pretty much fell apart. The salsa -- extremely watery . If it was homemade, it sucked. The burrito itself was incredibly bland this is nothing but beans, eggs, guacamole. Eggs were unseasoned. Without any sort of meat, all I tasted were the eggs. At least everything was handled at à proper temperature. Hey, and the side potatoes were cold/room temperature . Not a fresh batch at all. Disappointed with this one.

Very relaxed spot with spot on breakfast see what I did there! Everything is homemade and the coffee is a reminder of home. Staff were excellent and attentive, always there at the right time! As an artist I felt as if I was in our conference room before we went into work in our studios! Very cool and chill. I recommend the French toast!! Woah... so good I didn't get a photo

Went to lunch with some coworkers and was informed that this spot was pretty good for a nice sit down lunch. The server let us know that we could seat ourselves and she promptly attended to us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is an outside and inside seating restaurant that is dog friendly so we had to get our area cleaned throughly because the table had dog hair all over it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitress suggested the oven roasted chicken panini so that's what I got. They were also very accommodating to my friend who was vegetarian by providing her with veggie tacos. The Panini was a safe choice not good or bad but satisfying. They gave decent size portions so the side salad was almost like a whole ceaser. My other friend ordered the same meal as me but his chicken was a little undercooked which made it similar rubbery. We informed the waitress and she took the panini off his bill which was very commendable. A solid 3 star is fair for this restaurant in my opinion, very middle of the pack.

This place used to be a staple for my boyfriend so I've been a couple times and I've never been impressed. I've ordered several different things from the menu and I'm always left underwhelmed and wishing I ordered something else or gone somewhere else. During our most recent visit I ordered the steak tacos which comes with a Cesar salad. The tacos are quite large and come with a nice avocado "salsa" which is more like a guacamole spread. The Cesar salad is warm and soggy with croutons that are so garlicky, they completely overpower the flavors of the taco and leave a horrible after taste. That's coming from someone who loves garlic. The service is always great and everyone is super friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location is a little corner spot on Beverly Blvd so it's easy to get to on weekend mornings and it's always packed around 11am so they must be doing something for everyone to keep returning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Personally, I think there are better diner spots down the road with similar options.

This neighborhood joint has been serving up quality coffees and elevated brunch dishes since the 90's and that 90's vibe is still prevailing at least in the decor, to this day. I love it. Everything is practically made in house including their awesome breads that they serve by the loaves next door. Expect to definitely wait for a table on the weekends but with plenty of outside and inside seating the awesome staff ensures your wait isn't excessively long.

    1/2 order french toast.

My half order of French toast with berries was perfect. I had a craving for maple syrup and egg battered bread and wow! It hit the spot. We had stayed at an Airbnb close to here and this was any easy in and out.

I thought coming here on a Saturday morning would be a bananas scene between parking and getting a table but it was all good. At around 10 am ish, the boyfriend and I got nearby parking (yes metered but where is parking free anymore). The helpful hostess got us seated right away. We were hungry so we didn't linger too long over the menu but there was a lot of good brunch/breakfast standards. The coffee (hot for him, iced oat milk latte for me) was tasty and strong. I got the half size french toast and it did not disappoint. The potatoes that came with my boyfriend steak and eggs were delish and the bacon was cooked perfectly - not too crispy - not too soggy. Sidewalk seating was cute. Lots of people with dogs. Looking forward to adding Kings Road to the morning rotation.

I came here for brunch with friends on Father's Day, and it was such a great experience. As SOON as I walked in, I was greeted right away by a staff member, which made me feel really welcomed. They originally said the wait would be about 15 minutes, but we were seated in closer to 5, which was an awesome surprise on such a busy day! I ordered the King Road Burger, and wow it was bigger than I expected and reallllllyyyy good. The fries were just as impressive super crispy and honestly kind of addictive. The coffee hit the spot too. The servers were kind and attentive, which made the visit even better. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is a bit small, but it felt cozy and lively.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, I'd definitely come back for the great service, good music, good vibes, and seriously delicious food.

Okay, so I know I've driven by this place and went to an ice cream museum pop up back at the end of…read morethe covid fakedemic, but it really wasn't on my radar. Nice name, but when I see menus of any cuisine that go out of their way to offer vegan and gluten free versions of everything, it tends to put me off. I know that's an unfair prejudice, but I always assume it's more of a healthy food place for people who complain about regular food than a real tasty joint. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. Now that I've tried their fantastic pizza, my only sadness is that they are located in DTLA, where finding parking even to run in and pick up things to go is always difficult. So, we were here at first not for the food but because my teen son's death metal band, Institutionalized, was playing a show with the very popular super cool local metal band Diabology. But, hey, if you're there might as well grab something before you leave, right? So We got a cheese pie, which was excellent. Also tried a slice of their white pie, which was garlicky goodness. What really sold us, though, was the Sicilian pie we got. As born and bred New Yorker transplants who have been here a long time, we have never found a fantastic Sicilian. Good, sure, but never great. The pies are never thick enough as far as the breading. Here it was as close as we've ever got. And like the other pizza, the taste was excellent. And, as native New Yorkers, we know our pizza! Strongly recommended! Can't wait to get another Sicilian pie in the near future with some toppings.

I finally went back and tried one of their vegan pastas I hadn't tried before, and there was meat in it (pancetta). I literally am feeling sick to my stomach--I'm pescatarian + non-dairy and stopped eating meat in 2013 so I'm sure you can imagine. The customer service was amazing and the cashier who helped me, Melissa, was so apologetic and sweet (obviously wasn't her fault), but this is just another warning to anyone who is vegan and considers coming here. I also came when they were about to close and already had to wait like 15min longer than they said so there's not even anything else open this late for me to find other food. Very disappointing and I will not be coming back for good this time. If I could give separate stars for customer service, I would give them 5 stars but this was unacceptable on the cook's part. Do not risk it if you are vegan.

For starters, the entire staff from host to servers were so friendly and attentive, it was a very welcoming and warm environment. Now to the main event, the pizza! The pizza had a nice crispy crust with quality ingredients, especially the pepperoni slices and fresh basil, but overall the flavors didn't stand out as much as I expected. The service was friendly and efficient, and the staff got our order out quickly. The casual, laid-back atmosphere made it a nice spot to grab a slice, though seating is pretty limited. We also tried the cake for dessert, which was light and enjoyable, but overall the meal left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. It wasn't bad by any means, just not a place I'd go out of my way for.
