    Spinach & Goat Cheese Omelet
    Meghan T.

Kings Road Cafe is packed on the weekend and it's got the cutest old-school cafe vibe. I stopped by with a friend on a Friday morning for breakfast. The service was quick and polite. I ordered the spinach and goat cheese omelette. There was definitely plenty of food; I ended up taking half of my portion home. The plate was $20. I just wasn't blown away by the flavor of the food. It was a really good classic omelette, but I didn't think it was amazing by any means. Next time I'd be curious to try one of their bakery items instead. I think this place would be great for a study spot during the week.

I visited this spot for a Sunday breakfast and my experience here was good. This restaurant looked like a great spot for a breakfast since they have lots of outdoor seating by the road which reminded me of European cafes. Firstly, for the drink I got an iced mocha latte. It was pretty good and married the espresso and chocolate flavors well. For my main dish, I ordered eggs benedict and it was decent. The presentation of it was good and it was unique since they used a croissant bun for the eggs benedict. However, the croissant didn't seem very fresh and neither were the potatoes, the textures just seemed a bit off. The overall dish was still enjoyable though. The eggs were cooked well and were jammy and the canadian bacon was solid. The service here was solid as well. For parking, there's street parking and metered parking nearby. Overall, a decent experience here. I would maybe come back if someone invited me or if it was convenient, but I would still opt for other breakfast/brunch places in the neighborhood.

Went to lunch with some coworkers and was informed that this spot was pretty good for a nice sit down lunch. The server let us know that we could seat ourselves and she promptly attended to us. This is an outside and inside seating restaurant that is dog friendly so we had to get our area cleaned throughly because the table had dog hair all over it. The waitress suggested the oven roasted chicken panini so that's what I got. They were also very accommodating to my friend who was vegetarian by providing her with veggie tacos. The Panini was a safe choice not good or bad but satisfying. They gave decent size portions so the side salad was almost like a whole ceaser. My other friend ordered the same meal as me but his chicken was a little undercooked which made it similar rubbery. We informed the waitress and she took the panini off his bill which was very commendable. A solid 3 star is fair for this restaurant in my opinion, very middle of the pack.

Very relaxed spot with spot on breakfast see what I did there! Everything is homemade and the coffee is a reminder of home. Staff were excellent and attentive, always there at the right time! As an artist I felt as if I was in our conference room before we went into work in our studios! Very cool and chill. I recommend the French toast!! Woah... so good I didn't get a photo

This place used to be a staple for my boyfriend so I've been a couple times and I've never been impressed. I've ordered several different things from the menu and I'm always left underwhelmed and wishing I ordered something else or gone somewhere else. During our most recent visit I ordered the steak tacos which comes with a Cesar salad. The tacos are quite large and come with a nice avocado "salsa" which is more like a guacamole spread. The Cesar salad is warm and soggy with croutons that are so garlicky, they completely overpower the flavors of the taco and leave a horrible after taste. That's coming from someone who loves garlic. The service is always great and everyone is super friendly. The location is a little corner spot on Beverly Blvd so it's easy to get to on weekend mornings and it's always packed around 11am so they must be doing something for everyone to keep returning. Personally, I think there are better diner spots down the road with similar options.

This neighborhood joint has been serving up quality coffees and elevated brunch dishes since the 90's and that 90's vibe is still prevailing at least in the decor, to this day. I love it. Everything is practically made in house including their awesome breads that they serve by the loaves next door. Expect to definitely wait for a table on the weekends but with plenty of outside and inside seating the awesome staff ensures your wait isn't excessively long.

My half order of French toast with berries was perfect. I had a craving for maple syrup and egg battered bread and wow! It hit the spot. We had stayed at an Airbnb close to here and this was any easy in and out.

I thought coming here on a Saturday morning would be a bananas scene between parking and getting a table but it was all good. At around 10 am ish, the boyfriend and I got nearby parking (yes metered but where is parking free anymore). The helpful hostess got us seated right away. We were hungry so we didn't linger too long over the menu but there was a lot of good brunch/breakfast standards. The coffee (hot for him, iced oat milk latte for me) was tasty and strong. I got the half size french toast and it did not disappoint. The potatoes that came with my boyfriend steak and eggs were delish and the bacon was cooked perfectly - not too crispy - not too soggy. Sidewalk seating was cute. Lots of people with dogs. Looking forward to adding Kings Road to the morning rotation.

I came here for brunch with friends on Father's Day, and it was such a great experience. As SOON as I walked in, I was greeted right away by a staff member, which made me feel really welcomed. They originally said the wait would be about 15 minutes, but we were seated in closer to 5, which was an awesome surprise on such a busy day! I ordered the King Road Burger, and wow it was bigger than I expected and reallllllyyyy good. The fries were just as impressive super crispy and honestly kind of addictive. The coffee hit the spot too. The servers were kind and attentive, which made the visit even better. The space is a bit small, but it felt cozy and lively. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the great service, good music, good vibes, and seriously delicious food.

I went in to the coffee shop side and there were 3 staff members moving around. I stood there waiting for someone to ask me what I wanted to order- no one acknowledged my presence. I stood there for 4 minutes waiting and waiting and waiting. Not a single person said "we will be with you in a sec", NO ONE. So I walked away and went to Blue Bottle Coffee- 2 blocks down. Better coffee, better service.

It remains a unique addition to the neighborhood, as well as a good place to grab some interesting dishes. Since the opening of this particular business, the Zinc chain has opened in a few other locations. Those locations are much newer in not only their establishment but their design. This is not to say that this is still not an interesting, well-designed business, but, with time, it has become a little bit rundown. I hate to say it, but that is the truth. This location could really use an update and perhaps a deep cleaning. I was, in fact, kind of surprised at the condition of this business, for example, on the way towards their restrooms. From my opinion, it needs an clean up and an update. Also, the litter that surrounded some of the outdoor tables where I was sitting at my most recent visit was very surprising. This is just something to keep in mind if you're coming here for your first visit. In terms of what they offer for food, though it has evolved a bit over the years, they still have a great, heath-based menu, with some very interesting choices. For all of you vegetarians and vegans out there, you will, for sure, be able to find some tasty food to eat. Once upon a time, this restaurant was impacted with tons and tons of people. It was constantly full with people either going to the bakery and/or sitting down for table service. Shortly past their opening each day, there would be a line of people waiting for service. This seems to have changed, however. Meaning, if you're looking for an interesting place to eat, with some good dishes, at the far Southeast side of DTLA, near the lofts district, and you want a place without a long wait to get a table and/or your food, this may still be your place to go.

I got an omelette and it was fresh and light, but very small for the price and no bread included. Now for the rest, the service was appalling. Food came out quickly but after that we were barely checked on. We had to ask several times for things that we ordered and had to flag down the waitress to order a second drink and they took forever. We could understand that it was busy but the waitress never apologized or said anything like they were understaffed or anything. Also, we had a few questions about the menu and our drinks and the waitress would just say, "I think so?" or give a vague answer. She didn't seem very knowledgeable about the menu at all. Maybe she was new, but clearly training was lacking. I don't think I'll be returning but since I see many reviews relating to service issues, hopefully management is able to address the deficit

The ambiance is a bit dim in lighting which sets a nice mood. And the place just happens to be dog friendly too. Sorry for the lack of photos, but I didn't wanna intrude on everyone else's meals. However, if you come here, definitely try the salad with cherries and the venison burger or the pork chop!

Great for pics The pop Benedict was good but not super filling, the eggs well seasoned and good sauce Bacon super bomb, if you like sweet Canadian bacon. Not a fan of the grits Tartar 10/10 easy really good dish to get to share Chile was okay nothing else besides sauce and chips 4/10 Ribeye steak very small like 6 oz steak for $58 it's great but not for the size and quality Great service, really fast and their mixed drinks were bomb too. I liked the melon one 9/10 Overnight oats is good too but on the higher end, 7/10 nothing crazy but still good If I go back the butter, burger and pop Benedict would be the move or bacon
