I had the scallops while the other two had the 8oz hanger steak. Both steaks were cooked to perfection (rare and medium well) and the scallops were so buttery soft they melted in your mouth. The desserts was cheesecake with a raspberry gelee for one and a warm banana bread with ice cream and chocolate drizzle for the other. The French onion soup was rich and deeply savory, with a broiled cheese cap that held together beautifully when you broke through it with your spoon, finished with fresh herbs for a little brightness. For the main, the grilled lamb chop was cooked exactly to temperature, great char on the outside, tender and juicy in the center. It came with a hearty herbed grain salad and a vibrant chimichurri that cut through the richness perfectly. We also had a couple of their cocktails, one with a sugared rim and both really well balanced, not overly sweet like a lot of happy hour drinks tend to be. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, wood tones throughout, low lighting, lively but not overwhelming. Inside the venue, there are free seats, as well as reserved seats available. They do sell beers and wines here inside the venue, as well as some simple fried foods like hamburgers and chicken fingers to enjoy. The service is pretty good at the drink and food windows. Theres sand inside the actual venue area, so it still feels like you're on the beach which is pretty awesome.
