Came on a Wednesday for a wine Wednesday night with my gals. Overall it's a cute spot I can see the appeal but there's very limited food and wine options which is surprising since it is a wine bar. I noticed the selections they had for wine was too marked up for what the actual cost of the bottle was. Don't get me wrong it's a great chill spot to catch up with friends, sit and chit chat but nothing about the wine or food options amazed me.

It was my first time visiting this place and I am not a huge wine drinker to begin with. But the staff were super helpful in suggesting types of wine and which bottle to get and we opted for an orange one! It kind of tasted like a beer / cider! For someone who isn't a big fan of wine, I would say it was alright! Service was amazing for the most part, but it did take a while for our cheeseboard to come out (I think they forgot about it) The cheeseboard was yummy! It had a nice balance of different things to eat :)

$15 Wednesday flights are such a great deal!!!! We got to choose which type of wine we preferred so we went with a sparkling, orange, and white wine. The pizzas were good but nothing special, and a little pricey at about $25 per pizza. The standout dish was definitely the caesar salad, like honestly the best caesar salad I've ever had. Each piece of lettuce was coated with the most delicious dressing, parmesan, and bread crumbs! Would 1000% come back just for the salad, I hope it stays on the menu!!!

Saw this on tiktok, and as a lover of wines (and drinking them too) my gf and I decided to try this local spot. Great decor inside, with plentiful seating outdoors as well. You can simply open up a tab at the bar, and they also have a variety of finger foods which pair well with any of the wines you choose. If you're looking to drink for a good while, I'd recommend getting a bottle to share. Service was excellent and their wine selection was a bit small, but excellent in taste. My favorite was the Greek White Wine they had.

Stopped by for a burger and bev while hamburger nice was in town. Best burgers around, hands down. Good selection of beer , wine , and snacks. While there, they had live jazz going as well. Perfect way to unwind after a long day.

Got a word of mouth recommendation for Semi Tropic Wines and decided to try with my friend! It's located in Costa Mesa on 19th st. Not much parking out front but we parked across the street and just walked across. The ambiance is really cute and moody with dimmed lighting. Great selection of wines and they also offer wine tastings in a private room which I would like to do next time! We ordered the gouda cheese board and added slices of coppa, it came with bread which was nice. We also ordered the beans which tasted okay but I don't think I'd order again. Great service and plenty of seating inside and outside! Overall we had a great girls night! We sat outside, shared a big bottle of Pinot Grigio and yapped for a few hours. Highly recommend.

THE spot for a chill girls' night out! Our group dropped in on a Thursday night to sip, savor, and enjoy the live Jazz. Super cute, aesthetic, and totally hipster. If taking cute pics with little bevies in hand is your vibe, this is the spot! For sips, we took recommendations from the bartender. This was absolutely the move! We told her our notes and absolutely LOVED everything she suggested. For bites, we went with their Cheeseboard featuring various cheeses, almonds, olives, honey, pickled veggies, and sourdough. All made amazing drink pairings! On the particular night we visited, they also had a dumpling pop-up going on if you were looking for some more substantial eats.

My friend and I found this place on TikTok because we saw someone posted that there was jazz and charcuterie boards on Saturdays so we were bummed when we walked in on a Saturday evening and there was neither jazz or charcuterie boards. It's not the restaurants fault by any means but that was quite a bummer since the drive was quite long to get there. The girl who greeted us was not very friendly and told us to take a seat and order at the bar which was confusing since we saw other tables with servers. My friend and I sat down and were greeted by our actual server which was another girl and she was so sweet. Since she saw we were bummed by the misleading TikTok online, she offered the ricotta and sourdough bread which was AMAZING. The wine selection was just OK. The ambiance inside was cute with moody lights but it was very small with only a few spots at the bar and a few tables. The bathroom was dirty and smelled like urine which was disappointing too. I'm not rushing to give this place a second try, to be honest.

Stunning ambience and vibe. Jazz Thursday nights will keep me coming back for sure! Small but clear menu with good options for a perfect relaxed, but classy night out. Great date spot or night with the girls! Romantic but casual. Got the white wine "Vinoh Verde" with some of their cheddar cheese and was satisfied.

I've been wanting to check out Semi Tropic for a while! We came on a Friday night which meant difficult to find parking in their tiny lot, but no worries. We made it in. :) We ordered two glasses of their "disco wine" which the server described as their nicer wine. The price on the menu was listed as market price .... We didn't ask details, just paid. The total for two glasses came out to $45.99!!!! I later saw that included a 20% gratuity for pouring wine that we weren't informed of before ordering sadly :/ and tax. We enjoyed the wine. Loved the ambiance -- it felt like a coffee shop. Very relaxing atmosphere. When we finished our wine, we went into their bottle shop. What did we see but the "disco wine" we had ordered. The whole bottle for $36!!!! Less than what we paid for two glasses. We enjoyed Semi Tropic, but if we return we'll likely just buy a bottle to go since the by the glass prices are gauged so intensely

We went for jazz night! The band was really good! The food also tasted really good. However, I was a little upset to see a $25 bowl of pasta look like it was the size of a side. However, it was still really good. The servers/bartenders were also really nice and offered us a splash of wine to try before ordering!

My new favorite place to have a sip and a bite to eat! They have a great wine selection and food is always changing which keeps it fresh and exciting. I can't wait to come back!

Unfortunately, the patio in the more aesthetically pleasing area does get full so we were not sat there but instead at another patio on the side. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The options for food are plentiful with both breakfast and lunch options. We ordered the Milligram Breakfast and Steak Sandwich. Everything tasted very fresh but the Milligram Breakfast presentation-wise was much better than the Steak Sandwich. I also saw another customer order the Protein Breakfast and it looked amazing! Spices here are very minimal so everything is quite light on the stomach. The service here is what mainly left us feeling poorly about the restaurant. Wait times for food here are long, and it's definitely not a spot to visit if you are in a rush. After we sat down, we had pretty much finished all of the water we were given before anyone had even come to take our order. Then, the food took 30+ minutes, so just know when you walk in that you could be waiting up to 45 minutes for food to hit the table. As well as this, our server seemed a bit overwhelmed or scrambled. We made a to-go order that was brought out in dishware and we had to attempt multiple times to grab her attention for the bill, stretching out an already very drawn out lunch. I think our time would've been better spent somewhere else considering the patio we were sat lacked the aesthetics that were the main draw of coming. If you are looking to catch up with a friend and aren't very hungry, this would be the place for you!
