It's incredible to see a space like the old iHop get such a facelift and see that a family chose to put care and attention into this aging location to bring it new life. I loved iHop pancakes but after trying Champagnes pancakes, I was hooked - they're fluffier and tastier than iHop ever was... SO GOOD! My husband had the french toast and I had the pancakes. Ate breakfast here for the first time yesterday with friends, and the experience was very good! The owner, Matt, came around to introduce himself to us and explained the restaurant. We all ordered different items, and each item was done very well. Food was tasty, with the exception of the breakfast potatoes which were a little overcooked (in our opinion.) Matt informed us they had also some special ideas for Tuesdays which sounded fun. The restaurant was clean and well appointed. Included a full bar for afternoon and evening dining. An added plus was the bathrooms were very clean and well kept. We all agreed we would definitely return. Great location, ambiance and overall positive experience! read more

We had a really nice experience at Champagne's on Main Street in Huntington Beach. The service was excellent, and it seemed like the manager was making rounds and checking in on guests throughout the restaurant, which was nice. We ordered the tuna melt and the chicken club sandwich. Both were good, nothing especially standout, but solid, enjoyable food. We also got the side salad and really liked the balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The location is great, and they offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice for the area. Place is mid - went to the soft open - maybe had higher expectations or maybe they're not just fully set up. The place is really cute, big improvement from the previous establishment. We came for dinner and ordered the turkey meatloaf, the shrimp and grits and regular salad to start, with a drinks. The service was spotty. Our server was super friendly, but she kept forgetting things we were asking for (like hot sauce, or napkins - at one point she came and brought a box for leftovers but left with the bag for the box...) Our starters came with the mains - which was fine. The salad looked so sad - looks kind of like the premade ones from the supermarket ... Turkey meatloaf was tasty but came with super salty spinach. Shrimp and grits was not bad but missing spice and the sausage doesn't seem to be cooked enough. Maybe brunch would be better here. read more

I was first introduced at the Taste of HB- their kale salad is out of this world. I brought our business group here for their soft opening. Breakfast and lunch are order at the register. We were greeted kindly and frequent check ins with the staff throughout our stay. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Their French Dip was GREAT, 5/5. Just our first visit to Champagne's and happily it's a great addition to Main Street's dining options. For several years I found it a little disappointing destination for food but over the few years it has greatly improved. The food here was delicious and perfectly prepared. I had the reuben sandwich which came with pickled jalapeños on it. Really an interesting addition. My wife chose the breakfast combo and everything was prepared perfectly. I'm not a fan of ordering at the counter, but I'll have to to get used to it. Hard to rate the service from that but everyone was very nice and accommodating. Only complaint would be the flavored ice tea but admittedly that is a really leak complaint! read more

It's a quick service style restaurant in the mornings and full service restaurant for dinner. If you want drinks, they have a full service bar. Champagnes is our go to brunch and lunch spot. We have been going to the newport beach location for years and are so excited that they now have an HB spot. It is at the end of main street so it is near everything but not crowded. This location is super spacious and comfortable. The service here has been fantastic and the food is fresh, delicious and very generous portions. Our 4 kids all live it too. Great for a couples meal or for the whole family. We love the Joe's omlette for breakfast. And the sandwiches and pizzas are awesome for lunch. Definitely stop by to grab a great meal if you are in downtown HB. read more

We were so excited to see a new Champagnes open in downtown Huntington. Having enjoyed their other location for years in Newport, we love that this new location has the same great atmosphere but is in the heart of HB. The food is amazing and fresh, and the portions are generous. We highly recommend the Joe's omelette and also love the homemade cookies. Happy to see they have MoonGoat coffee and a full coffee bar.
