Very good cafe at corporate center. Great for lunch - looks nice, and tastes wonderful and feels healthy.

I noticed that the folks in the neighborhood like to gather here and hang out. Love the community feeling! I have ordered a variety of dishes, but I have to say the chilaquiles are my favorite with carnitas. The pork is tender and juicy! Their coffee is decent, although I like mine a lot stronger. Overall, I've been happy with my experience and definitely plan on returning!

The food and service has always been good. Today, we ordered Chilaquiles with Carnitas added in a verde salsa, Corned Beef Hash, and sides of hashbrowns and 2 pancakes (instead of toast). The Chilaquiles were very good and the over easy eggs were perfect. The carnitas were tender and nicely seasoned. The housemade corned beef cubes were tender and the diced pan fried potatoes had a nice latin seasoning blend. I just wish the hash had diced bell peppers and onions. I also wish the poached eggs I asked for with the corned beef hash were cooked properly. I was expecting the type of poached eggs that are like small balloons waiting to be popped so the egg yolk oozes out over the corned beef hash. These poached eggs were over-cooked and looked un-appetizing, but tasted fine. The hashbrowns were perfect - crispy and tender and properly seasoned! The side of pancakes were fluffy and absorbed the syrup quickly. Overall a good visit. The food was mostly on point, except for the disappointing poached eggs and lack of onions and bell peppers often found in a hash. If I go back, I'll stay away from their benedicts (since poached eggs are not executed correctly, and corned beef hash, and instead stick with the Chilaquiles.

The menu feels inspiring, try it, and if you love it, attempt to make it yourself so you can eat it 100 times. The pie was good. I think it'd been better heated up with ice cream. Inside the pie really was more just like a regular apple pie with plenty of spice. Carmel seemed to be like a topping rather than an ingredient. I think it'd be amazing if the Carmel was inside. Staff seemed knowledgeable and friendly, I overheard guest conversation with them at front on there questions about the key-lime pie. The only thing I have to say for the order taker is please remind people to use their punch card that's good at their 2 cousin locations as well. The on my time I got a punch was the 1 time I was reminded was when I received the card. And I've been back 3 times since. There the Cheese shop by fiser forum or sausage shop in Milwaukee public Market I still have to check out. If they created a phone number "points" system that would be event better than carrying around a paper card.

The service here is always friendly, reliable and speedy, even during busy times. As with other Colectivo locations, the menu rotates with seasonal coffees and food items. The cold brew with cold foam is my latest go-to and the vanilla cold foam here was just right, not too sweet or overwhelming with vanilla flavor. We grabbed the coffees to go but although the cafe was busy, there was still ample seating because of the large space.

I noticed 2 large coffee drinks made and slid over to the pickup area; they were in exactly the same paper cups, but neither were labeled. How were they to know which drink belonged to whom? I wondered.‍ Oh well, sure hope they did. I ordered a flat white, something I'd heard great things about online. However, this one was not a good way to start my journey. This flat white was absolutely AWFUL. I'm not sure what it was--if the coffee itself was over-roasted, or the milk went bad, or the machine (God forbid) was not clean--but the drink tasted burnt, bitter, highly acidic, and just "off," giving a weird unpleasant sourness at the back of my tongue. It's a good thing Collectivo serves flat whites in their smallest size, because if it had been any larger, I could not/would not have finished it. I'm by no means a coffee connoisseur, but I *am* a bit of a coffee snob. I love a good coffee. I love a well-made coffee. I know good coffee. I typically buy local freshly roasted beans, and make myself a coffee at least 1-2 a day at home. NONE of the coffee I've ever made at home--or that I've had out and about at any other shop--has tasted as bad as what I had at this particular Collectivo. I'm not saying they're all like that, I'm not even saying any other drink at this Collectivo is bad, but I anticipated--and expected--much better. I may give them another try in future, but only with GREAT trepidation. Of course, YMMV.

The matcha itself was strong, vibrant, and beautifully green - the three things that matter most to me when it comes to matcha. To me it was comparable to some of the well-known matcha spots in Chicago, such as Homebody, Match A, Noble Fat, and Oni Cafe. They also don't put too much ice to fill the cup - you won't get a drink that has half cup of ice like in many places nowadays. While I can see they're doing a great job incorporating trendy specialty recipes and flavors, I think some of those drinks could be refined a bit further from a taste perspective. The matcha itself is excellent, but a few of the specialty combinations felt stronger in concept than execution. One thing to note: the wait was quite long during my visit. It appeared that the owner was handling all of the matcha whisking personally while the rest of the staff focused on preparing other ingredients. Understandable from a quality-control standpoint, but it did create a bottleneck during a busy farmers market rush. Overall, though, this is a solid matcha offering in the Milwaukee area and definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a quality matcha drink! Bonus: the owner is so friendly and welcoming!
