Happy Mother's Day to best mom ever!
    Elizabeth Y.

We came here in the morning to try something new and grab a small bite to eat. We walked by here several times and finally decided to stop by before we started working for the day. I had the bacon biscuit which had Wisconsin honey inside it. It was really good and the honey definitely made it pop. Unfortunately, there was a hair (not mine--it was too short) in it which turned me off for the rest of it. Alyssa got a couple of pastries that change daily. She said they were really good and that she wanted to try more another day. The pastries were the perfect amount of buttery and flakey. We also were able to sit outside and watch people shop for garden herbs and plants in their little plant area. We both just had nitro and house coffees that were amazing! Next time we walk down there, I'd try it again but if there's another hair I'll probably never go again. The service was great and helped with explaining what was in each item so I could make a more informed decision on what to eat.

It was quiet on a weekday morning which was exactly the vibe! We sat outside which was perfect as the baby could be in the shade and we could be in the sun. Friendly staff. Both had a breakfast food item and a drink. Door county cherry limeade was amazing! And iced chai was great! On the way out I grabbed a couple of bakery items- salted honey pie and an oatmeal cream pie! Delish!

Amazing patio, beautiful ambience and I love the garage door and open concept inside. Staff is attentive and knowledgeable, but seems to really struggle keeping up with food orders, maybe they were understaffed when I went? The food tastes as good as it looks. My biggest gripe is that 20oz nitro cold brew was $11.50, although it is really delicious.

Great quiche, cherry limeade, and atmosphere!

Love to stop by SmallPie for a snack or a SPORTea on my way to walk by the lake. I'm a big fan of their savory hand-pies. Their giant cookies are a home run. Their kale salad is also delicious. Cute patio, kind service. Lots of street parking in the neighborhood. Enjoy!

Came here because YELP actually published a "best pie in every state" list while we were in Milwaukee, so of course we had to come try it. We got 3 slices for $26, a fruit one, a french silk, and a milwaukee mud pie. Pros: - Prices may seem steep, but the pie slices are HUGE. Also the french silk and mud pie were DELICIOUS - I even ate the rest of the mud pie the next morning and the taste still really held up. This place is literally a hidden gem. It tasted exactly like the best version of what I expected out of each pie. - Despite a very humble space, the outside area is very chill to take a bite of pie in - The service was very efficient - Has a bathroom - Not too busy, fast staff response 10/10 would come back to Milwaukee for this, probably my favorite thing we ate during our trip!

Stopped here for a quick lunch to go. Overall I like the location, ambiance, food, and staff. They were friendly and pointed me to the food menu when I looked confused trying to find it. I grabbed a turkey pepper sandwich, 12 oz iced chai latte, and slice of key lime pie. The only reason I'm docking a star is the pricing. Those three items costed $30 and I do not think that's justified. The food was great, don't get me wrong. I think maybe if the sandwich came with chips or a side or everything was a couple bucks cheaper, I would come back more often.

Small Pie is a cute little space with a small outdoor patio when weather permits to have delicious treats and bakery. We ordered a pie online for pick up as a gift for our daughter and hubby for their 3rd anniversary. It worked out super easily and well. The gals were kind and friendly at the store and our pie was ready to go at the pick up time. We also purchased a gift card as a gift for a future pie. This was warmly received and super delicious. If you're looking for a unique and sweet special (as the pies are costly , but made with quality ingredients) gift for someone- consider one of their pies. YUM!!!!! There isn't a lot of parking availability. But, you'll manage. :) If you are elderly or can't walk far- maybe look into being dropped off so you can sit outside and enjoy your bakery - or inside. The seating is limited inside and it is small inside. But then you can look at the pretty case of desserts and think about your next visit.

Great spot to get some delicious treats for brunch or when having a sweet tooth. They have different pies and pastries that are all worth it. Different flavors for anyone, including vegans. They do have great service, they answer the phone and are polite. When you go in person they great you and make sure you're getting the correct items that you want. They have different crafts beers and wines. Ambiance is pretty cool and chill. Lots of locals so by that are walking their dogs. So get your dessert before they run out of it. Stopping by again.

    Lemon supreme.

There were five people working there today, The service is SLOW. I got two pieces of lemon pie. I saw the ones beat up in the pan, but they had a whole new Pie. I went home with lemon pie mush. Not something to serve to a visitor!! Last time I ordered a chocolate whip pie and went home with coconut cream. Of which I'm allergic to. I went today to support the plant business. I live within walking distance. DONE

I am a loyal SmallPie fan - their herb chicken hand pie is a buttery breakfast treat and their sweet pies are delicious too. We love the gas station breakfast sammy as well if you're looking for a salty/sweet mix. I appreciate the beautiful native plants on their patio and the indoor/outdoor seating options. We often get some coffee to go along with our pies. The food at SmallPie has always been fresh and delicious and the quality is always excellent. I feel very lucky to have such easy access to this restaurant in the neighborhood!

We ended up getting the full English breakfast, I had a London fog latte and my fiancée had a regular coffee. They do have oat milk and soy milk if you prefer that instead of regular milk in your coffee. The full English breakfast has baked beans, tomato, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, eggs and toast. I have had this numerous times here and it has always been my favorite! the baked beans are just a little sweet n tangy, the eggs are however you like them cooked, and the mushrooms at a bit of earthy flavor. If you have ever been to England, the only difference is there is no white or black sausage here. I don't exactly like it so I am glad the sausage here is more like a broiled regular one. The London fog here is the ONLY one I like in MKE! They always put just the right amount of vanilla syrup and milk in it. Most places end up making it super sweet but this place is PERFECT! I come here occasionally because it's also cute and we like to sit in the window and people watch. The service is great and you just order from your phone at the table you choose and pay using Apple Pay or a card.

I had scoped out a couple coffee shops in the neighborhood we were staying in, all within walking distance of our Airbnb. But as it turns out...none of them were open on Mondays OR Tuesdays. So I searched further away and generally along the route we were planning to take out of town on our adventures that day. My only requirement is that I find somewhere that wasn't a national chain (I'll go for local or regional chains!) That is how I came upon Boiler House Cafe. BHC is in the Brewery district, very close to several points of interest as well as apartments and hotels. And they are open, at least currently, every day of the week! They are fairly new, it seems, but I think they are definitely worth a visit! Metered street parking and pay lots are available. The space has that sort of industrial-light sort of feel inside. Old brick, exposed ducts, but still clean and inviting. There is outdoor seating, but no assisted shade which may or may not be welcoming depending on the time of day you visit. But there is plenty of indoor seating. The center, high-top counter tables have plugs for electronics, but ALSO have in-table cordless contact charging spots. Very clever and convenient. As for the actual coffee and offerings....their prices are very reasonable. My boyfriend and I each got a large specialty coffee and a pastry (four items altogether) and it cost less than $15 before tip. That is pretty darn good these days! My latte was delicious and the donut stick/cruller tasted exactly like I hoped and wanted it to. Absolutely give them a shot, whether that be for carry out or stay in. The staff is super friendly and kind. I would make Boiler House part of my regularly visited coffee houses if I lived in the Milwaukee area.

It's down a side street off of 1st Street, so it's easy to miss. It's a brick building sitting on the corner, with just enough signage to let you know you're at the right place. Inside is a large area that is both a coffee shop and a coworking/collaboration space to help people connect. There are large tables for groups, small tables for couples, or work pods for privacy. Great idea! They have the usual barista favorites, along with smoothies, breakfast, and lunch items. When I arrived, there were several other people working on their laptops. Met the friendly barista and ordered my usual London Fog Tea Latte (a little lavender, a little vanilla, extra foam). They didn't have scones (so sad), but they did offer some nice bakery items that they source from Stone Creek Coffee. After several minutes, my London Fog was ready, along with the Morning Bun. They did a nice job with the drink, it was the perfect temperature (about 140F), and the pastry was warmed up nicely as well. During my time there, other people started to show up, but the noise level was good. Conversations were quiet and respectful of others. This place does a nice job of balancing the intimacy of a coffee shop with the need for a collaboration space.

There are tons of tables spread out, and even the quiet booths at the back that you can rent for private meetings and calls. Huge high top for group work or gathers, low tops to sit at with your laptop, or a book, or one of the many great menu items you can grab at from the counter. I had their turkey cobb recently and let me tell ya, it hit the spot. Smokey turkey, chedd, bacon, avo, tomato, and greens made a great combo on the lightly toasted multigrain bread. Also, the side salad I went for was better than your basic side salad, including the dressing. Oh and I had myself an iced latte which was made fresh in front of me but then served in a cutie can situation. Fun twist on a good drink. Clearly people come here to co-work and grab a bite to eat or coffee, but this is no doubt a great spot for events of all kind, too. I'll be back.
