New location Anderson Lane Took my Audi A6 in for scheduled maintenance. Some codes showed up and they ran some diagnostics. They told me what they had found and they didn't want to sell me something I might not need right away but I approved the service. My car runs so much smoother now. Thanks Brink! I also added an alignment since I had recently bought tires. As I was leaving the lot I hit a curb. The cars steering wheel felt off so I drove back. They worked me in and realigned my car again. They found and fixed this super annoying thunking sound for me. It was a loose bolt that the dealer failed to tighten when doing a repair. They tightened the bolt, and fixed it, free of charge! So, don't go to Audi North, go to Brink! read more

Had my car in for some repairs and it was returned to me with a broken dip stick and stripped water reservoir cap. Yes it's an older car but that means be careful. Both parts combined was under $10 for them to fix their mistake but I had to call them out on it. They replaced the water cap but not the dipstick. Had a family member who also had a bad experience with the owner Mike making promises he couldn't keep, and he knew all along. Had a way better experience at another shop - sadly we both won't be returning to Brink. read more

I went to both Brink Motorsports and German Autocenter. Brink Motorsports ran a diagnostics on my Audi Q3 and the front desk lady shared with me the issues on my car. When I told her I would get back to her in an hour in order to price match and call around, her attitude seemed to change and she was not pleasant about the fact that I wanted to do my due diligence. I ended up taking my car to German Autocenter to obtain a second opinion and they went above and beyond - they explained the issue in detail and even informed me that there was a recall on a particular part, which Audi now has communicated they will cover at no-cost. Long story short, comparatively, German Autocenter went out of their way to be helpful while Brink Automotive wanted me to immediately pay for their service. I'm sure both auto shops are great, but wanted to share the factors that stood out to me. read more

I hate to write a bad review because Mike is a nice guy and I want to like this shop. However, the work done on my car (2006 Porsche Cayman S) was very sloppy and I gave Mike every opportunity to make things right and he went unresponsive. tl;dr - whoever worked on my car put the engine back together in a way that was so clearly wrong that an untrained mechanic (me) was able to spot it immediately and a quick Google confirmed how wrong the reassembly was. This shoddy work resulted in strain on parts that are a known weak part of the car. I was able to use Google to re-assemble the parts in about 20 minutes time. There were also parts missing and a scuffed up headlight. Mike apologized, offered to replace the 2 small parts and clean the headlights. 40 days later, none of that has been done and Mike hasn't responded to me. Details - I hired Brink MS to: - Uninstall 2 intake manifolds and reinstall them after I got them painted. - Replace AOS/VOS - Troubleshoot a squeaky clutch pedal. What went well: - Clutch: they were straight up about this and said replacing it would mean replacing the entire clutch and it was an expensive job that wasn't really necessary. There's likely a small part bent but the clutch is not slipping so I can just live with it until it actually breaks and save my $ until then. What went eh: - While my car was at the shop and undriveable, the car was stored underneath another car that was on a lift. That car dripped fluids onto my car's fender/headlight. This stained the clear bra. They let me know about this and got the clear bra on that fender replaced at no charge to me - work was done by Xpel. While I appreciate that they took care of this, the fact that they stored my car underneath another car and let it have fluids dripped on it in the first place is not ideal. What went BAD: - After picking up the car, I drove it home and opened up the engine bay to clean it up (the engine bay isn't visible on this car without a few tools). As I was cleaning it, I noticed that the shifter cables seemed to be routed wrong and were pressing up against sharp metal parts. I did a Google search for this car's engine and could see right away that the shifter cables and the vacuum hose for the AOS were routed incorrectly. - I also had photos from before taking the car in and they were correctly routed when Brink got the car. - I took 20 minutes to Google and figure out that it was safe and simple to disconnect the AOS vacuum hose, then re-route the shifter cables and that vacuum hose into the correct positions. - Next, I realized that 2 small parts were missing from the engine bay that are meant to hold a hose and a temperature sensor in place. These didn't seem urgent so I decided to let Mike know and go pick up the parts later and install them myself (not letting anyone there touch this engine again). - After finishing all this up, I inspected the fender where the clear coat had been replaced and found that the headlight was scuffed up -- other headlight felt and looked smooth but this one clearly had a residue/film on about half of it. That was Friday. - On Monday, I talked to Mike on the phone and let him know about the issues I found. He offered to correct the cable and hose routing but I told him I'd already done it. He asked me to send pics so that he could order the grommet and clip needed to hold the hose and sensor in place. I sent that over including the part # for the grommet. He said he'd get them ordered. He also offered to clean up the headlight when I came to get those parts. As for the shoddy work, all Mike had to say was "sorry" -- nothing further to make this right. - 10 days later, I'd heard nothing still so I texted Mike for an update. He said he had the grommet but not the clip and would get back to me. - 22 days later, I texted Mike again (since he had not gotten back to me). He never responded. This review is being written 8 days after that -- 40 days after originally bringing this all to Mike's attention. One more thing -- and this is a bit speculative: - When I got my bill, it was about 70% higher than expected (170% of what I expected the bill to be), so I let Michelle know this so that we could talk about the itemized details. The original bill had a single line item despite the various pieces of work they'd been hired to do. - I appreciate that a pre-work quote is not going to be exact and was prepared to pay a little bit more than the original quoted job but this was a LOT more and aside from the replaced clear bra (that was completely on the shop), nothing unexpected came up. - Michelle reviewed things then adjusted the bill. The new total was 1/2 the original total -- even less than initially expected. -I didn't want to underpay and was confused by this. Michelle said the original bill had too many hours on it and said "that tech is always charging extra hours". - Simply put - this feels shady and I was presented with a bill that was double what it should've been. read more

The facility is clean and service was fast. The reason for 3 stars is the price. I called a week ahead to find the price for a standard oil change in my Audi A4. I gave all the details of the car to Mike and ask for the price. He said $110 + tax. I scheduled the service. I should have asked the price again when I took my car on scheduled day. I didn't thinking they'll honor their own quote. The charge came out to be $145. I asked the receptionist lady reason for higher charges. She said the oil is expensive for this car and that was the regular charge. I could have gone to Audi South dealership for the same price. They inspect all the necessary parts in the car and offer free car wash. I may come to this business for a future service need but I'll make sure to get the price quote in writing before service. read more

It happened Wednesday afternoon, that darn check engine light. Thursday at lunch I text'd Michelle , told her I was being haunted by that darn light and asked if I could swing by. So, I had to purchase a 2010 VW Routan (have to fit wheelchair behind driver's seat). Para Driving Aids installed an old spare set of my hand controls in the Routan. As expected, the 2010 had issues. Mike and Staff @ Brink are simply awesome. I highly recommend their services to anyone with a VW. I had H&R 1.3" springs installed on my 2016 GTI and couldn't be more happier with the look. Most people I asked for quotes also informed me I would need an alignment of course, but Mike was the only one to point out that it would be best to put a few hundred to a 1000 miles on them and allow the car to settle. I couldn't agree more, I don't like the idea of an alignment directly after the installation and then perhaps another if the car were to shift a little bit and settle after the alignment. Thank you! My alignment is barely off, it's amazing. Once these springs settle it will be time for oil change #1 and getting these wretched tires rotated along with that alignment. This place....what can I say? If you are looking for great customer service, this is the place to come. Mike, the owner, took time out of his day to help me personally, and I do not think that this is anything out of the ordinary. I have taken my VW GTI in there three times and on all three visits, Mike has been there and helped me out. This last time I went in, I was there to get my ECU updated to the newest APR stage 2 software. While there, I told him that the car had not passed inspection because of a couple codes the car was throwing and that it was not building all the boost that it should. His reaction was immediate. "OK, well let's get that fixed first so you can pass, get it inspected, then work out the other issues." No questions asked, he just wanted to fix the car. We got the inspection issue fixed and I went down to the other end of the parking lot to the mechanic there (they do inspections, Brink does not). When I got there, they said it would be a long wait because the guy was out to lunch. I call over and let Mike know and his response was "You can come back here and I have Netflix if you want to hang out and watch something." WHAT? Who does that? Amazing! I am sure this is not typical, but I would not be surprised if this was just par for the course at Brink. These people know how to treat the customers. read more

5++++ stars! Michelle and the team @ Brink are fabulous! I was driving down Burnet Rd today when my check engine light came on. Then, my car wouldn't drive over 30MPH. Eeek! I pulled into every auto shoppe I stumbled upon but all had crazy wait times (1-4 days). Shoppe to shoppe, I was hoping my car wouldn't completely shut down or, i dunno...spontaneous combustion. Lots of wild thoughts going through my head. So I stumbled upon Brink (my 4th stop) and yesss - breath of fresh air! From the moment I walked in, everyone was super friendly, knowledgable, and just had a certain kind of familiarity/likability about them. I think most auto shoppes have an eerie, bleak, strange AF feel ...but maybe it's just me. They told me that they don't service Volvos (they do Audi, Porsche, BMW, MB, etc) but they'd still take a look at it. So very nice and accommodating of them. So they did a diagnostic check and it ended up being a computer glitch, so they did a quick reset to the car's computer. And bam! 20 minutes later, I was out the door. And they did not charge me a single penny!!! Michelle was super knowledgeable and was great at explaining everything in a way that I understood. She told me to call her if I had any questions or needed verification on future repairs done by other shoppes, as she knows lots of people in the industry and will point me in the right direction & verify that everything's kosher. Took my car to firestone and I won't go into details, but they were telling me I needed about $2000 in repairs when it was just normal wear and tear on my car. My dealership (I have a warranty with) showed me nothing needed to be updated on the car, but my car was still shaking. Since I have aftermarket wheels, VW said they wouldn't balance or fix the alignment unless the were VW wheels, but they did recommend brink to me which I couldn't be happier. They fixed my wheels up, and no shaking now. Like I just drove it off the lot. I took my Jetta for an oil change, and they did an inspection on the whole vehicle as well, making sure I was going to be safe on my way to Colorado. Mechanic came back and told me that nothing was wrong on the car at all, and I take extremely good care of my Jetta as well. 10/10. Honest shop. They don't try to over sell you on anything. I had a wonderful experience with Michael at Brink last week. Michael installed, on my request, a RaceChip GTS Black into my 2021 Macan S. The RaceChip is a piggyback device that intercepts communication between the onboard computer and the engine. It's a somewhat easy process to install if you know what you're doing. I don't and don't trust myself under the hood, but Michael did everything right. Highly professional friendly service, great price and an overall satisfied customer in me. We recently worked Michelle and her team at Brink Motorsports to service our B8 S4. While local dealerships routed us to call centers, Brink was highly responsive and offered us personalized and proactive communication. We found it easy to schedule with them, and they were fair and reasonable with their quotes. We appreciated their transparency - while there are some places that would try to "upsell" us the moment we dropped off our car, Brink prescribed exactly what was required and came in well-within their initial quote. It was clear to us that they have a long-term mentality and will do what is right for the customer (and car!) vs. look to make a short-term buck. We also enjoyed their deep knowledge and experience working on Volkswagen Group engines. I'm not the type to write reviews, but I feel that I must. Brink Motorsports is just a great workshop. They are attentive and helpful above and beyond the minimum. I've taken my aging Audi A4 there three times: 1 - They replaced the coolant flange after another place found a leak and quoted me at double what Brink did. 6 months later my coolant level hasn't dropped an inch. 2 - They helped me identify a botched AC repair done by a different shop, helping me get a full refund for the service and parts. 3 - They replaced my in-tank fuel pump, cam follower and helped fix my ashtray (if you have a B7 Audi, you'll know what I'm talking about). They are also very communicative and honest about their practices and prices and will happily install parts you supply yourself, as long as they meet quality standards (and without the warranty for the part, naturally). Not only that but they have been extremely helpful with follow up questions and after-the-fact customer service. Also they're close to several Bus stations, so you don't have to add the rideshare bill to your expenses. If you have an Audi or VW, you can't find better hands to leave it on! read more

I have to preface this by telling everyone that NO ONE is allowed to touch the GTI but Mike Brinks and the Team at Brinks. They built this car to where it is today, and it's a blast. For a few months now, I've been losing coolant - I thought it was a blown head gasket except no chocolate milk - no visible leakage but sure as hell, losing a half cup of antifreeze a week. Coupled with a multi cylinder misfire on start, it was only getting worse. Michelle mentioned GTIs sometimes lose the water pump to oil leaks originating in the cam support, which leaks down and causes the water pump to leak - usually around 60k - the Little Bastard was a good candidate for this issue - so I dropped it off at 10am. Within 2 hrs, they identified a cracked coolant overflow tank, replaced it and all the associated plumbing to it, flushed and filled my coolant system, re-tested, found the miss wasn't the same issue and re-gapped the plugs alleviating the code - even had the oil changed. They also found that annoying 'clunk' from the rear which turned out to be a loose spare. A head gasket on the GTI averages 1390 to 1750 dollars - and water pumps aren't much cheaper. They could have told me it was anything, and I would have probably just told them to do it - my trust is that good with Mike Brinks. A lesser shop may have tried to screw me over with work I didn't need. Special thanks to Mike and Michelle, and the Team - great job Folks! (As always) Followup: on the Uber back to the shop, the driver says 'Oh Brinks? They are great, they work on my Porsche' ... and I thought 'Porsche?' ... damn, I'm doing this all wrong :D read more

Had $3500 worth of work done a few months ago which included two oil leak repairs and an oil change. About a month after the work was done I noticed a lot of oil leaking so I took it back to Brink. After a mechanic inspected it for about 30 minutes she came back and told me I had another oil leak which would cost $1,000 to repair. I wanted a second opinion because I was suspicious so I took it to a reputable car repair shop who told me that there was not only no oil leak , this was literally a loose oil filter. There's absolutely no way when they inspected that car they didn't notice the oil filter was leaking. Very dishonest, will never use them again. read more

My 2013 Audi is out of warranty and was overheating. The AC was not blowing as cool as well. I took it to our neighborhood mechanic and then to another bigger shop. Both said the coolant levels were good and no evidence of leaks. But the problem kept happening, so I took it to Brink. I was scheduled right away (the dealership was booking a month out). Without even looking under the hood, they knew what the likely problem was since they've seen it in other Audis. The repairs were completed in two days and my car is running great! read more

'14 Audi SQ5 115k mi. This shop is a great find! I asked them to drain and fill transmission fluid with new filter, gaskets, and plug. Also to inspect rear brakes as the dealership said the rotors and pads needed to be changed. They drained a little trans fluid to inspect first, then they advised me it was appropriate to change about 1/2 of the fluid, as asked. The work was done much more quickly than expected and is great! They also advised me the rear rotors were fine and worn much less than usual. And the pads measured 6 and 7mm all around (the dealership told me they were only 3mm). Since I was having no braking issues at all I am leaving them as-is for now. This is saving me the $1,300 dealer estimate. And when I do change the brakes I will definitely bring it here! read more
