Overall great experience! I found this place through my insurance company, they handled all the services my VSP insurance offered and had great reviews. I scheduled an appointment on an Saturday and was pleased with my wait time. I waited for about 10 minutes while filling out a few forms and was called to the back for pre exam with the doctors assistants. The Dr. was very nice and informative and made me feel very comfortable and answered all my questions and assured me no question I had was stupid. After the exam I was sent outside to to there what i would call glasses or frame area were i spoke to the same assistant and she went over what I needed and what was covered. We then tried on NUMEROUS pairs of glasses and she helped me find the right size and price for my eyes and budget. Now down to the money ! They allowed me to leave half of my total as to get the glasses ordered and to get the prescription filled. They advised me it would take a week to a week and a half to receive my glasses! Very illegitimate business being ran. Previously on a weekend when I have been in need of contacts they have been able to help me purchase a pair. I called today for an emergency pair of contacts and they refused to sell me a pair as they have previously done so twice in the past. Saying I needed a prescription when I was trying to provide them my prescription via my box of contacts. Shitty inconsistent business practice being ran. read more

They offer free parking validation which is a plus. Noah, my optometrist, shows he really cares. This is a very friendly optometrist with reasonable prices. I came in here a couple years ago for an exam and everything went very smoothly. A couple days ago, I went back to get my eyes examined again, because my prescription had expired and I knew I needed a bit stronger of a prescription. The Dr. was very friendly and honest about my eyes. Also, I like that they don't push you to buy a pair of glasses right away. Hands-down, this is the best optometrist I've ever been to. They have an amazing selection of eyewear and their follow up care is the best out of any eye doctor I'm ever gone to as well - and I have had to go an eye doctor every 6 months since I was seven years old. The doctor diagnosed a condition that my other doctors have been trying to figure out for 30 years in about one hour. He literally faxed a vision problem that I've had for over 30 years in an hour! I avoided a costly surgery, and I can see better than I've been able to see my entire life. These guys will be my optometrists for life. read more

I am an airline pilot and was flying a trip into LAX, on approach one of the lenses fell out of my prescription sunglasses due to the screw holding the lens in the frame coming out. Worse possible time, in any case got to my layover hotel and found Brinley & Morad Optometry on a yelp search and luckily was close to my layover hotel. Walked in and the front desk staff was very friendly, I explained what happened and they said no problem and replace the missing screw and got my prescription sunglasses back together in just a couple of minutes and was on my way. I used to really like this office but my appointment today sucked. They don't have any parking available which I normally wouldn't mind but they just shrug when you mention it to them. They don't offer compensation for parking around the office (street only). The doctors are impersonal and seem to care more about pushing patients through the process than anything else. Also, one of the receptionists was complaining about a family of 4 coming to buy glasses 30 minutes before closing. Didn't really sit right with me. This review is NOT based on the eye exam part but the picking out frames area. I had an exam performed at Kaiser and brought over my prescription to choose frames through my VSP insurance. The receptionist was polite and very professional she seemed to have it together but the woman helping with frames did not seem to at all. She wasn't helpful or friendly.........not at all! Looked like she wanted to rush us to get to the people after us. My spouse was going to make an appt for contacts but once he noticed she was spacey he decided to go else where. Plus I didn't see anything I liked.........very low selection to choose from, small area. The only reason I gave it two stars is because of the young lady at the front desk, very professional, otherwise I would have given one star. Will not be going there again. I just wanted frames.........easy.......and was willing to pay out of pocket for expensive brands. read more

They changed my prescription, even though there was no change in my vision, without explaining to me why. I'd just gone in to get an exam after two years--I finally got insurance. I got the glasses, the ones they push on you when you get out of the exam room, and I felt like I was looking through 2 old-school magnifying glasses. I got the bifocal part redone, but now the top part is still wrong. $300 I wasted. I'm back to wearing my old glasses, which are just fine! These guys are like so many businessmen; they overcharge and over prescribe so they can make their rent. Go to Costco, WalMart even. Or any outlet place and you'll save. I paid $300+ for "Carerra" frames MADE IN CHINA, which cost even more because my insurance paid for a portion. read more

Excellent office. Dr Brinley answered all my questions and the staff were very friendly.

The doctor was to the point yet he had a kind vibe. He was patient and took the time to explain the mechanism of the eye, what issues you may have, and what one may expect as we age. The young lady helping me select glasses was on top of it asking all the right questions and pulling as many glasses as I liked in attempts of finding the perfect pair. It's been a long time since I've been to the eye doctor. This place made it so easy. The front staff was very helpful. Eye exam was easy. Dr. Brinley was very honest and helpful and actually explained why I would be having issues. My eyes are in good shape they just get tired from looking at the computer all day. Great office and wonderful staff. I had a great first visit here. Needless, to say I found my new optometrist. Today I went in as a first time patient and I already loved the office since they were able to get me in on the weekend ! (Yay) for weekend hours. I had already filled out my new pt forms online. Which btw don't need to be printed you can just fill out and submit them directly! Awesome, I thought. It def saved me time. I sat for no more than 10 mins when the dr called me in for my eye exam.My exam went great and smooth and dr took time to explain to me the test and procedures he was going to conduct. Dr also made small talk among the exam and recommended me two a few good eateries I can't wait to try. I felt as if I was having a conversation with a friend he had great chair side manners! Thank you Dr. then I sat down and had a variety of wonderful glasses to choose from. They had different brands such as Versace , Gucci , Tiffany Co , Rayban , Coach , Burberry, Nine West, Valentino etc . Wonderful selection! Just recently, my fiancé and I came in for an annual eye exam. I struggled with finding a new optometrist, since I already had a great one in Orange County. I had to make a change after my insurance was no longer accepted and I moved counties. I reviewed the yelp comments for optometrists local to me, and came across Brinley & Morad and decided to give it a shot. The location and parking is convenient. Upon arrival the staff was very friendly and attentive. The facility is super clean and well organized (which is always a plus!) Dr. Brinley was very friendly, and explained exactly what was going on with my vision and provided options available as well as recommendations. I'm excited to have found this place; they were absolutely wonderful to the both of us. My additional penny to toss is in the mix would be that I wish they carried a few different frame brands, namely Salt, however, I am happy with my selection.
