Build Your Own Brunch (Plate & Drink Set)
    Joshua C.

Got the build your own brunch plate. They let you add on a drink for I believe a $1. Nice set meal to start the day. Yuzu glazed bacon especially was delicious. And the toasts were so cute. Service was kind and place was spacious and clean. Would definitely suggest to people in the area!

Great build your own breakfast and drinks. I was able to pick exactly what I craved to make my ideal breakfast . Food was great. Latte was superb. Not much atmosphere ( standard coffee house / fast casual joint feel ) but if looking for a healthy high protein brunch this place is awesome .

Got the iced sweet corn latte and classic french toast. Sweet corn latte was unique and delicious. The addition of tajin in the drink caught me off guard initially, but it did grow on me. French toast was so soft and fluffy!! Interior was spacious with lots of seating. You can order from the kiosk by the entrance or at the cash register. Would definitely come back here for brunch!

I loved brioche! I got the BELT and my partner got the build your own plate. We also got two matchas! Very tasty. The food was great as was the matcha. The restaurant had a really cute vibe and the barista/staff was super friendly :) My only qualm was price. For those four items and an orange juice, we paid 75 dollars. Definitely one of the more expensive breakfast spots but it was great quality!

So yummy!! The drinks are SO flavorful. We got the Yuzu Matcha Latte and Sweet Corn Latte. The Sweet Corn Latte kind of tastes like popcorn? and is very sweet so it should be more for dessert. I liked my Yuzu Matcha Latte with the butterfly pea color to it, as it had a strong yuzu taste even until the last sip! There is a good amount of tables and it's pretty spacious, so I wish they had wifi to make it a wfh friendly place ): Can't wait to try their other drinks and food next time!

So I saw this place on TikTok after controversy with a content creator and thought I have to give this place a try. To be upfront this was probably a stress test for them cause I came with my family and they we were 6 people deep. First test they passed was my husband ordered the peach tea (he's from NC) and didn't like it. Tried to adjust it with sugar but couldn't stomach it and they let him swap it out for a coke. My son liked his strawberry smoothie. I got a latte that I also enjoyed. I did a build your own plate, one one son did the French toast with no butter the other with no banana and then one regular was my sis. Now it seems although they work in unison it's both a cafe and brunchesqe space. Very white/clean aesthetic and there's an upstairs that was closed forget I got there but I call out as it gives to the thoughtfulness of how they utilize the space. Anyway I loved the food. I took my time to eat and enjoy it and I regret nothing but the spinach when I should have gotten a bit more salad. The French toast though. To be clear was a plot amongst my family. Very decadent in the indulgence of sweetness and for me that was a hit-not so much for some of my other family members. It's clear the bread is there own as it's fluffy, large size is not a thing you get anywhere. The banana is caramelized and adds to the greatness. It's a greta spot visiting or local. A bit pricey so I can see someone would want to give this a try free of charge. But given the location you're definitely getting the bang for the buck.

4.2 / 5.0 Despite its great location, this cafe is always empty, making it a hidden gem! There is plenty of seating, and strollers can be accommodated. The French toast is fluffy and delicious!! The caramelized banana topping goes perfectly with the maple. The restrooms are spacious and clean, and the staff are friendly, making this one cafe I'd like to visit again! ・Classic French Toast

Place was nice. The French toast tiramisu was really good. I just wish they had larger sizes for matcha and that they could remove some ice

Iced Pistachio Latte (customized for it to be caffeinated)
    Alice K.

The coffee here is moreso for those who don't like coffee at all but are open to try again lol It's pretty and extremely sweet I tried their pistachio iced latte (caffeinated) and it tasted like a melted milkshake - super sweet and it's not just from the scoop of ice cream thrown in there. It's also pretty pricey, $9+ for aesthetics over good coffee Service was really friendly and quick; the pastries looked interesting and good and plenty of seatings

I stopped by this café after a boat ride. Since the kitchen closes at 3 PM, I ordered from the bakery and got a blueberry scone, a ham and cheese croissant, and a chocolate croissant. The food wasn't bad, but nothing stood out it was pretty average overall. That said, the space itself is lovely clean and beautifully designed. It's a nice spot to sit and relax. The staff was really nice .

    Undercooked Mixed Berry French toast

Not everything was pictured. I ordered chicken salad, mixed berry French toast and strawberry matcha. Chicken salad was decent (4/5). You could tell the matcha powder is not the best quality but the amount was enough and blended very well with the strawberry jam (3.7/5). Now the bad thing was the French toast. It is in your name but your kitchen has only TWO pans to do french toast making no sense. A friend ordered a banana French toast which looked properly cooked and tasted fine like an hour before me. I was convinced by his plate so I put in the mixed berry order. It took over half hour and when we checked staff they told us they're not forgetting or missing the order, they're slow because they have only 2 pans!!! A commercial kitchen having only 2 pans making French toast (aka almost the main thing on your menu) is INSUFFICIENT. The worst part was I could taste they was rushing my order. French toast came out undercooked, super egg-y, too dense. Egg was cooked enough I didn't get sick but would not return. No regular seasoning on the French toast like cinnamon or nutmeg. The texture was off. TLDR: expect 30-45 minutes for a French toast. Are you the lucky one or was I unlucky to get an undercooked and eggy French toast?

    Espresso Martini

Noticed they extended hours and included a cocktail menu! Espresso Martini was delicious!

    Iced pumpkin latte
    Anushka M.

The atmosphere and space inside is gorgeous! It's a great place to sit and enjoy coffee. I tried the pumpkin spice latte but it was unfortunately a little too sweet for me, and I'm someone who usually prefers sweet drinks. It may have just been too much syrup, it tasted quite chemical like. My friend got their matcha which I thought was good. I'd definitely love to come back and try other drinks

The figs one came with a sweet fig granola bite and the lemon one really did taste sweet after eating the "Miracle Berry"! I'd definitely come back to try their many other drinks.

I liked how they organized the menu by country/geography to facilitate an understanding of the flavor profiles. I got two of the date & fig-flavored smoked whisky drinks and it was a well made, balanced, and very good. Not cheap at some $25 or something, but middle of Manhattan with some creative ingredients means I guess it is what it is. Servers seemed a bit annoyed to have to deal with us shortly before close as I think they were hoping to usher people out and close down maybe a little early. One the one hand I get it, on the other hand you've got two paying customers on a slow night.

They're experimental, whimsical, delicious, and worth every penny. My absolute favorite is Child of Light, and my BF's was High Frequency Device. The interior was dimly lit, with a couple of candles per table or counter. It's a perfect place for a date night. And while there may be a wait on busier nights, it's always worth the wait. We were sat at the bar once and were very well taken care of by our bartender, Nikola. It was a Sunday night, so it wasn't terribly busy. We chatted up a storm and he was able to create some drinks off the menu just for fun (on request). He also made my BF and me a couple of drinks to celebrate our anniversary too. It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. For drinks, she brought over someone more seasoned, who quickly helped guide us based on our preferred taste profiles. Her suggestions were very good. The mushroom burger was the highlight for me. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back, especially for the mushroom burger.
