    Iced Matcha
    Wilson H.

Been having coffee to much, decided I need to switch it up and matcha was the correct choice. Whenever im near the area I alway swing by here for that morning coffee, but getting the matcha today was the right choice. The balance between the grassiness of the matcha combined with the creaminess of the milk and the sweetness blended together nicely. There's always a friendly atmosphere there and a line of people waiting for orders, but the service is quick.

Got lucky and scored a table this morning before there was a long line to get in. (Think we arrived a little after 9am...didn't see anywhere to make a reservation). I wasn't sure there would be table service based on photos and reviews I spied previously, but yes-there is. The owner was running the show and he has a lovely Australian accent. The menu is not overwhelming and there are enough options for whatever you might want. It's not a huge space and can get a little tight...so maybe don't bring a pile of luggage with you. Take out counter is busy as well. Coffee was hot and strong. I would have ordered another cup, but didn't have the opportunity. Solid reviews on the "eggs Bene"; I enjoyed my scrambled eggs with sourdough toast, salad and an add on of chicken apple sausage. I'd definitely grab a meal here again.

We were walking downtown looking for the rhinos... and walked past this place. Taylor had not eaten lunch yet, so we stopped in. What a nice surprise. Service was great. Food arrived quickly. We were there at the end of business, but he sat us and just requested we order right away. That worked perfectly with our schedule. Richard had the avocado toast, which he said was one of the best made (all avocado, nothing added to take away from it).

Walked by so many times and gave up because of the sweeping line outside but this time, we opted to sit outside and luckily didn't wait too long. Food was solid, no standouts. - Whipped ricotta toast: really skimped on the figs here, and does not compare to my admittedly high standards like the Misi one - Shahshuka: not bad - Breakfast sandwich: small and needed more sauce

Worth the wait! The restaurant is small so you may have to wait for breakfast but everything is perfection! My cappuccino, the whipped ricotta toast, the staff, the clean bathroom, everything!

Shakshuka Toast, Iced Latte, and avocado on the side

I came in around 12pm in a Tuesday, and there's no wait. The place was cutely decorated. The Shakshuka was very good - not impressively good, but very good. I think the flavor could have a bit more variety, comparing to some other shakshukas I've had in other cities, but the eggs were surely boiled to the perfect temperature & texture. Avocado on the side was very fresh. Iced latte was, uhh, iced latte. The taste of the beans were on the bitter side, but it somewhat tasted watery; bitter and watery made kind of a weird combo. If you really do want to order coffee here, I'd recommend hot coffee instead of anything iced. The food price was very decent for the taste. I think coffees were overpriced for the quality. There were some outdoor seatings. Seemed it would be nice during a warmer day.

I did not eat here only did take out for coffee. That is a downside to this place. If you want to grab a to go coffee but want to sit and enjoy it for a little bit there is no where to sit here. It is only dine in for people who want to sit. As I was ordering my coffee I saw some food come out of the kitchen and wow it all looked very good. I am going to try and come back here one day to try the food out for breakfast/ brunch. When I came in I was greeted by a guy who maybe was the manager? He was very nice and asked how my morning had been going and we got to talking a little bit. I got an iced latte it was ok a bit on the strong side for my liking. And a bit too milky or something. I can't really pin point what I didn't really like about it.

This is a popular breakfast/brunch spot with long wait lines, especially on weekend mornings FYI! My party was seated outside and service was fine, but food wasn't outstanding in my opinion. We ordered the ricotta toast (popular for the aesthetics), smoked salmon tartine, and shakshuka. Nothing tasted bad, but again, it wasn't worth the long line in my opinion. However, it is a cute spot if you want a brunch more for vibes!

Went for Sunday breakfast. Wait time was maybe 10 minutes for party of 2. Loved the ambiance - bright and airy. Music was a nice touch. Food was flavorful and colorful. Plated beautifully. My friend had a little crush on the friendly and welcoming handsome dude with the man bun/ponytail - assuming he was the manager or owner.

We were able to get in and out of this cafe very quickly due to their no computer/tablet rule and really efficient staff. It was perfect for a breakfast on a time crunch before leaving the city. We saw a line form while we were eating, but arrived with a group of 4 around 9am on a Sunday and were seated right away. Very cute, minimal and modern atmosphere and decor. We were greeted at entry and thanked at exit multiple times. My group got a range of items. The poached eggs in the shakshuka were cooked perfectly. I ordered the eggplant katsu sandwich, and was very pleased with how crispy the eggplant was! Their cold brew was very dark and concentrated, which is not my preference but my partner was happy with it, especially because the serving is pretty small (same size cup as the iced latte pictured in this post). They only have honey, simple syrup, and vanilla as cold drink sweeteners.

Deliciousness! Came here last Sunday for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. It was crowded but we were seated within 5 minutes. Our waitress was nice and attentive. I had the pancakes, steak and eggs, French fries, and a moca warm beverage. 10s for everything. The pancakes were fluffy, and so filling. The only critic I would have is we wanted the steak medium and it was served to us - well done but it was still good. I'll definitely be back.

I came here for breakfast over the weekend and it was a great experience. The food was delicious and our server was very attentive. There was a line but it didn't take too long before we were seated. Very modern inside and clean

Healthy and good! I got the shakshuka and chicken sausage (which I could've done without). Pretty good and necessary after eating bagel sandwiches for breakfast all week.

Is this a coffee shop also good for sitting down to do work and is there wi-fi?

The bistro itself is very nicely lit. I almost felt like I was in a movie. I had the Turkish eggs and a side of Bourbon glazed bacon. The chili-drizzled poached eggs sat on a bed of yogurt nestled against triangles of thin flatbread. Very hearty and filling for someone who was on their feet all day. The bacon was such a treat. I was afraid they would be soggy from the glaze or a little too sweet but it was the absolute perfect balance of both. My friend tried out the chicken and waffles and I was almost jealous that I hadn't ordered that. After being given a piece to try, I can confidently say that the Belgian waffle had the nicest crispy exterior and a beautifully fluffy inside. The chicken was such a wonderful savory pairing to the not too sweet waffle. The iced coffee was a nice side pairing. The pumpkin spice flavor was the perfect amount of sweet without being overpowering. I will be returning soon!

Think vintage wallpaper, little knick-knacks, and warm lighting. It's got character. I also ordered a Diet Pepsi with grenadine; they don't carry Diet Coke, which I almost docked a point for, but the mix was unexpectedly delicious. Highly recommend it. My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water. The meal started with coleslaw and both a half sour and full sour pickle--such a classic deli touch, and a great way to kick things off. I ordered the half sandwich with matzah ball soup, and the portion sizes were no joke. The soup alone could have been a full meal: a huge bowl with an equally massive matzah ball. The broth was warm and soothing, and the matzah ball was incredibly light with a perfect texture. The half pastrami on rye was just as impressive.
