Unfortunately, this wasn't a great experience. The space felt dirty, and the baristas seemed unsure about the menu and lacked knowledge of some of the items. I ordered the Iced Chai Latte with oat milk and a blueberry muffin, and both were pretty underwhelming. One of the items upset my stomach shortly afterward, though I can't say for certain which caused it. Combined with the mediocre service and lackluster food, it wasn't worth the visit. I won't be returning. read more

Le Cafe might be an NYC sleeper...Some of the best coffee in my opinion. I take my coffee and americanos black and Le Cafe might have one of the better Americanos I've had to date. And their food selection is incredible. It is now a part of my rotation when visiting. read more

i will never not like this chain it's not quite as cozy as some of the other locations, particularly the 7th ave one that is nearby but i like that it's tucked away and easy to miss it's like my little midtown secret the cafe is warmly lit, clean, beautiful... will come back again and again and its not cheap by any means but worth (ask for the punch card lol) read more

Interesting underground coffee shop in the middle of Penn Station. This place isn't the best WFH place. Music is super loud so can't really take calls. Also, with typical nyer style there are not many seats inside. This place is so hustling and bustling all the time. Ended up getting a drip coffee which was nice. It was great that the barista puts in the cream instead of leaving it up to the customer. The banana toast was a bit too sweet for my tastes. read more

First off this place has amazing coffee. Tried both the French vanilla latte and the Dulce de leche latte and they were both great! However the main reason to come to this coffee place over any other in the area is Monica!!! She has the best energy and is so sweet!!!!! I looked forward to seeing her in the morning. Ordered an iced matcha latte with vanilla and hazelnut sweetener and oatmilk and it was made pretty fast but it did not taste good. It was bitter. A bearable taste but I would never order that from there again. The two stars are there for the cleanliness and good service. It's amazing the foreigners that want inclusivity, but don't know how to be inclusive themselves. This gentleman not only displayed racist motives, but a clear disdain for people of color. Im standing in line, was never once greeted or acknowledged, not only did this individual attempt to take the person who stood in line behind me first, but caught an attitude when I asked if I was invisible. Against my better judgement i still purchased an Iced Tea. One sip in, I realized it wasn't sweetened so I went back and I asked is this not sweetened and I was given an abrupt answer. Well what kind of syrup do you want? No mention of the flavors again no courtesy no customer service just pure sassy attitude.. so a young lady intervenes and gives me a simple syrup and I proceed to sit down. Now the location is very boutique so whispering is nonexistent. Rather than the two ladies diffuse the situation they proceed to gossip and listen to him berate me in his native tongue. So now i say out loud I understand everything you are saying and he proceeds to say he doesn't understand English. I visit these locations often throughout midtown and after this incident will no longer patronize this chain. Do better with your employees and teach them about being inclusive, especially for those not born on US Soil. I could have matched his ignorance but instead I will refrain from spending my hard earned money with a chain whose employees have a problem with my skin. We were looking for a coffee shop open after 6pm and came across this one! The sign alone makes it seem subpar but the interior was luxurious and high end! There are tall mirrors on the walls with industrial lamp sconces. This location was very clean and the staff was incredibly patient and kind. The coffee shop allegedly closed at 7pm but they weren't booting anyone out. I had the matcha latte with whole milk, it tasted more like whole milk, the matcha got lost. I'd encourage to get maybe a non dairy milk and sometimes that pairs better with the matcha. I also tried the dulce latte which was divine- highly recommend, not too sweet at all. I popped in at 3:30pm to try their espresso and found their coffee is supplied by La Columbe. The blend they use for espresso is called Nizza, from Brazil, Columbia, Nicaragua and Congo! I didn't know all this when I tried it as I like to just try the espresso and add what I think! It was clearly a medium roast and not dark or burnt. The first word that came to my mind was chocolate! Really nice spot! This was across the street to our hotel and so it was a really fast quick walk. There was a couple of people inside but we ordered our drink and got it very quickly! I liked the matcha it was good but I bit bitter but nothing I couldn't work with. If we are in the area I would definitely go back! The service the lovely. The cashier was helpful and nice. She didn't rush us, let us take our time and look over the menu. Surprisingly, we didn't get any drinks. We got food-The Express and Açaí bowl. The Express bagel was warm, fresh, and the perfect little lunch (I should've brought chips to satisfy my lunch haha). The açaí was almost too pretty to eat. No customer service or what's so ever. Coffee tastes like super glue. I got three coffee today and they gave me a poor quality tray that almost crack while I was on my way back to my apartment which is only three minutes away. The coffee already splash out from the lid and everywhere on the lids, including my white shirt. I think this is the worst experience no one wants to experience. Amazing spot between Bryant Park and Times Sq with great coffee and such a variety of dairy-free milk options! I love the lavender latte with pistachio milk (5/5) though have yet to try their other drinks (it's just so good I always order it!) The lavender flavor is apparent but not too in-your-face. My friend who's a coffee connoisseur has also validated that this is good quality coffee. The pistachio milk is a great dairy-free alternative which maintains the creaminess inside the latte without having a strong pistachio flavor (though that wouldn't hurt either). While one of my endocrinologist professors taught me that for something to be "milk" it has to come from an actual gland, this pistachio milk is so nice that I will call it milk nonetheless. I haven't seen any / many other spots offer pistachio, so hoping this is something that takes off! read more

I honestly never leave reviews as I have worked in customer service but this specific location is so shady and I would be careful. Me and my sister visited this store earlier this week and they had some flyers of some deal they were having. The deal said that if we scan the qr code we would receive $7 off a purchase of 8 or more. We scanned the qr code even downloaded the app and created an account. When we went to go place the order the discount was not added. We had asked the baristas why it is not working and all they had to say was "We have never had this issue before" and " Just place the order they won't charge you". We should've walked out but we listened to the workers that obviously had no idea what they were talking about and placed the order. We were charged the full amount and the workers didn't seem to care that their "promotion" didn't work. One of the workers said that "oh the promotion might not be valid anymore". Well thank you for finding that out after you made us place the order and why do you have the promotion set out if it is invalid. Obviously the owner knows people will fall for it and is trying to scam people. When we tried to talk to costumer service they said that the promotion ended more than a month ago and that they can not do anything to help us. Why are flyers with this promotion still out a month after it ended and it had no information saying when it ended. This is very shady and it's honestly not about the 7 dollars just a waist of time and i wonder how many people they got with this. We would've gone to any other coffee shop. The coffee is mediocre at best and way overpriced for the smallest cup that is half ice. Honestly just disappointing and i've never ran into worse customer service. read more

I happen to be walking by this morning a young man was outside handing out free samples of iced coffee. I'm not an iced coffee drinker but, I came inside anyway. The cashier was polite. They did have a leak in the ceiling and it was dripping in the middle of the shop. They appeared to be cleaning it up. I ordered the seasonal Dulce de leche latte with oat milk. I was shocked that the oat milk/ coconut milk was an additional $1.00. Which is more than what Starbucks cost for non-dairy milk. Unfortunately, the latte was subpar in taste. I could only taste the oat milk. Dulce de leche has a distinct taste and flavor. I did not receive any of that taste in this latte. I truly feel like I wasted $6. They do serve breakfast foods and pastries. I am not sure if there doughnuts are from Dough but, they do look alike. I am not sure if I would go back. read more

Don't understand why the reviews are bad.. This cafe serves its purpose. The manager here is awesome, the barista is really fast and I never have to wait more than a minute for my coffee during rush hours. They also have trendy coffee menu like lavender, rose, matcha oat, which I was only able to see in Asian countries and certain asian cafes in lower side of Manhattan. And they taste awesome! The toasts are good but just keep in mind they are small and a bit expensive. But I definitely recommend their specialty coffee and latte. It's a lot better than other chain coffee chains and carry their own uniqueness. read more

Without a doubt, this is one of the best sandwiches I've had in a very long time. I'm not even a huge sandwich person when it comes to subs and deli meats, but everything tasted incredibly fresh. The ingredients paired together perfectly, and you could still taste each one individually. The only thing I'd change next time is the meat. I had no idea prosciutto was a type of ham, but honestly, it didn't even taste like ham to me. It was sliced paper-thin, slightly salty, and worked surprisingly well with everything else. Next time, though, I'll probably add salami just to see how it compares. Overall, this sandwich was a solid 10/10, and I will absolutely be back--whether it's to try a different sandwich or, if we're being honest, order the exact same one again with salami added. I will say it's on the expensive side, but that's New York City for you. Apparently, all of the ingredients are flown in from Italy. After tax and tip, I paid a whopping $28 for a single sandwich. Google their name and "best" and get hundreds of hits, but the majors who crowned them "best sandwich" title include Saveur Magazine, the big one touted by the family; Eater NY, ranking La Paradiso the most elite Italian sandwich outside of Italy; Las Vegas Weekly, who crowned them "Home of the world's best sandwiches"; TripAdvisor, for whom the Italian original is the most reviewed eatery with a near perfect rating; and The Infatuation NYC guides who promise the execution of the crispy, airy schiacciata bread completely justifies the hype. All 17 options looked amazing, so I spoke to a regular in line, telling her I couldn't decide between "La Paradiso", the most praised (even though she informed me "mortadella is just bolonie" or the Hot Italian, which was more my style. So, I did what any gluttonous American would do and I got both. And a Diet Coke, of course. La Paradiso has thinly sliced bolonie for a savory base, with creamy shredded stacciatella cheese, with sweet but earthy pistachio cream, and a sprinkle of toasted pistachio for texture (that I didn't detect). It was good, but I will likely fuggedaboutit. The Hot Italian had thin, lean turkey, spicy and smoky spreadable Calabrian pork sausage, a balancing provolone, calabrian chili honey, and peppery arugula (that they claim adds crunch that I didn't detect). Were they life-changing? No. But I rank Paradiso a 8.8 and Hot Italian a 10. And because everyone is hard-working and everything is so freshly prepared and cut, it's a class act. They should seriously make a sign that says, "Can't decide? Get two!" and then give me free sandwiches on my yearly trips for the idea.
