I just moved to the area from out of state and realized I was out of contacts. I booked a last minute appointment not knowing what to expect. After my appointment, I feel like I got so lucky! The office was extremely professional and friendly, the facilities were extremely nice, and the equipment was top notch. Everyone was so welcoming and knew exactly what they were doing. I had to bring my 3 year old because I had no one to watch her, and they were so patient and kind to her, even giving her a little toy and some stickers. Wanted to update my review and express my sincere thank you to Bristol Family Eyecare. Last year I came in for my annual shortly after my childhood cat Tofu passed away. During my exam. I started crying and apologized for the delay in the appointment. They assured me that everything was fine and my visit went well. A few days later I received a card in my home mail box from them expressing their condolences for my loss, signed by all the staff. I was touched. They truly care about their patients. As a healthcare provider myself, I was very impressed. I no longer live in the area so I cannot get my eye exams here. but I will always remember this act of kindness. read more

Worst. Service. Ever. I have been a loyal client for over 15 years. And this is thoroughly the epitome of not caring for your clientele. I am currently on vacation in Florida, And I lost my left eye contact. Unfortunately I did not have any spare ones on this trip, so I search for a local optometrist to see if they had my prescription. Turns out they did, I just had to get All About Eyes to fax over some information, they did that wasn't a problem. The problem came when The Florida optometrist had to get Dr. Loris consent to give me the contacts..... We got to the local Florida optometrist at 10, waited and waited and waited for a call from Lori to approve the lenses. I waited there for 4 HOURS! I called All About Eyes multiple times and so did the Florida optometrist. Dr. Lori apparently couldn't take 10 seconds out of her precious time to just say YES. So now. I am in Florida with VERY VERY poor vision because ALL ABOUT EYES DOESN'T VALUE THEIR CLIENTS. read more

I see In the past many great reviews for this shop so I decided to give it shot when I needed a new pair of glasses. However I did not experience the service the previous reviews seemed to rave about. I waited with out being greeted while I looked around. Eventually I had to ask for help when someone finally came and explained to me what was needed. Not very patient with my questions, and made it seem like I was being difficult by wanting to have a specified frame. I did not like my visit and unfortunately will always have to think of this experience for such an important purchase for myself. read more

Amy at Bristol Eyecare was wonderful when I came to the office with my glasses problems. She was so compassionate and knowledgable and though it did take her a while because of the problem I came to her with, she brought them back to life and they worked perfectly. I think this second half of the buying process at any Eye business is also very important for the client. There's no way I would have taken them to Visionworks, etc. Thank you so much, Amy. After breaking the lenses on my glasses this week, I was pleased at being able to get an eye exam scheduled at the last minute this week with Dr. Palmer, after my local O.D. was unable to accommodate my request for an appointment. All About Eyes is located at Republic Square Shopping Center, in the space formerly held by Budget Optical, and the office is simple, clean, and nicely appointed. My eye exam by Dr. Palmer was unhurried and very thorough, unlike some of my past experiences at large multi-unit practices that appear to be corporate-like and speed your through in a "check-the-box" manner. Dr. Palmer asked questions and was interested in assuring that she checked the condition of my eyes in every extent possible, and patiently worked through the diagnostic sequence to arrive at the best possible prescription. I've always found eye glass lens prescriptions to be somewhat subjective and the results contingent on my answering appropriately which setting allows me to see better and with more or less clarity and focus. After having eyeglasses made same day at a nearby retail lab, due to having broke my only pair, I am very pleased at the results and what seems like improved vision and clarity for my nearsightedness. read more

This review is long overdue. I've been a patient at All about Eyes for several years now along with my son and daughter. I can't say enough wonderful things about Suzy and Dorothy up at the front. They are the sweetest most down to earth, enjoyable people you'd ever want to know! I'm considering canceling my therapist appointment and just stopping by All about Eyes on occasion :-) The doctor is very thorough and a pleasure as well. Very nice and clean place with a very thorough dr that discovered something in my eye and referred me to a retina specialist . Probably saved my vision so I am ver grateful. The receptionist was very nice as well and I did not have to wait very long at all . I am very pleased that I chose this place because I am new to Georgetown. When I got my glasses prescription at All About Eyes I explained that I have trouble with fluctuating vision because of RK surgery in the '90s. After getting my new glasses I was having trouble seeing and I went in and asked how much it would cost just to recheck my prescription. The receptionist talked to the Dr. and she said it would be free. Then on the morning of the appointment they called to say there would be a charge of 40 because it would be more than just an Rx check. I have had this problems for years and have never had an optometrist fail to provide at least one recheck of a problem prescription. Anyway, I felt they should have stuck with what they told me so I canceled. Everything about the first visit was good, however. read more

I have taken my family to Dr. Palmer at All About Eyes for several years. She was recommended to me by our pediatrician when we first moved to Georgetown. We really love her! She's very attentive and highly knowledgeable. She works with my astigmatism, one of my daughter's nearsightedness, and had provided acute care for another daughters scratched cornea. Her office staff is fun, friendly, and professional. All About Eyes also carries a good selection of stylish and moderately priced frames.
