How to ruin your smile and reconstruct it Full Mouth Reconstruction I had it all. Braces as a teen, a perfect smile, white teeth,and no cavities until age 19. Then, years of neglect in my 20's-30's. No dental visits. Zero flossing. On a heavy soda diet, always ice chewing and nail biting. This, naturally, led to cavity after cavity and a bonus introduction to multiple root canals. Several crowns with crown lengthening, yuck. Professional stress in my 40's and early 50's led to destructive clenching and grinding in my sleep, TMJ, and LOTS of cracked teeth. They eventually broke into pieces and fell apart in my mouth. Surgical extractions, root canal redos. And years of neglect turned my teeth yellow. There was no one in the waiting room and Dr. Girgis saw me within a couple minutes at my appointment time (something he actually prides and challenges he and his staff to do.) He was super friendly, young, and had a killer smile. He's the kind of guy you'd want as a good friend. He didn't hammer me at all for my years of neglect. He took a lot of time with me and answered A LOT of questions. When I was done with my initial consultation, I walked out with cleaned teeth and a treatment (fix-it) plan and the idea that tooth by tooth repair, or even a full mouth reconstruction might be a future option for me. No hard or heavy sell. Office staff was super friendly and efficient. And Natalie is a gem! I weighed my options at home and decided to dive into further consultation for full mouth reconstruction. He again patiently took a lot more time with me and answered a lot more questions. We never felt rushed and I soon became completely comfortable with him to do my reconstruction. He gave me his cell phone number and always responds promptly to my texts. Over the next year, Dr. Girgis took care of me and my smile. We did a lot of work together and there was never any pain, smoke or foul odors during any of the appointments. His assistant, Peta, was always sweet and professional and she and Dr. Girgis had a super sense of humor. As completely crazy as it sounds, I looked forward to my dental visits - and still do! My final treatment plan and case consisted of a full mouth of new porcelain crowns and 3 implants. He opened up my bite, making more room for my tongue and longer front teeth that resembled my natural teeth before they were worn down over the years. I rarely ever write reviews for any company's, but after my visit these past two weeks I have to let anyone else out there whose looking for an honest dentist know about this amazing genuine business they have. I moved to Orange County 7 years and could never find a real genuinely honest dentist out here as I have trust issues when it comes to doctors and dentist doing work on me. I was forced to find a dentist over the past month as I was having terrible tooth pains. I did a lot of research on a dentist and decided to choose this privately owned business. I went in for my X ray, teeth cleaning, and consultation. After Dr. had gone taken x Rays I had a decaying wisdom tooth that was infected and needed immediate attention. Prescribed me antibiotics and told me to come back in a week to extract the tooth. I've never had any work done on my teeth besides a few cavities filled when I was younger. I was terrified of the extraction and the anxiety built up to the procedure, when the day finally arrived they helped me with some medication to calm me. When It was time to start I let them know I faint easily from blood and needles. As we started with the shots not 30 seconds later I got pale, sweaty and faintish. I did faint, as well as vomited. They handled the situation SO professionally and made sure I was okay and still alright to proceed with the extraction. I was so embarrassed that this happened and continued to apologize numerous times and they were so supportive and just wanted to make sure I was okay and comfortable to continue. I chose to go and and get it over with, the rest of the surgery was so easy and I didn't feel a thing. I couldn't believe how fast and efficient the Dr. was. Hands downs best dentist I've ever been to, prices are fair and he actually cares about his patients. Without knowing what the other doctor said, his assessment showed only one treatment was medically necessary, and his estimated cost was less than half. He was surprised when we showed him the estimate from the other doctor, and he explained to us why many treatments (e.g. laser deep cleaning) on the list were overkills for my wife. While we had intended to come in only for his second opinion, we felt very comfortable with him and his team (Anna and Lee). All positive reviews we read on Yelp are true - they are gentle, friendly and down-to-earth. They genuinely care more about our well being than financial gain. He truly cares about your health, his integrity is unquestionable, and his prices are very reasonable. My Mom and Dad were both in the dental field so I know a thing or two about the dentistry field. You really have to be careful who you chose as your dentist, at least 70% percent of them only see the $. Dr. Girgis is the most honest and humble dentist I've ever had. He is very efficient with his work and does his very best to minimize the number of visits and not drag out the work. He is able to do that consistently without ever jeopardizing the quality of the work he does. I first went to him about a year ago and now he's the primary dentist for my entire family. My dad recently had a lapse in his dental insurance coverage and he's had to postpone much of his needed dental work due to inability to pay out of pocket. When I referred him to Dr. Girgis, he advised against further postponing the dental work to avoid complications, and did a lot of work for free. So Brite Clean Smiles reached out to me after my previous review to address some of the concerns I had. They brought me in to redo the teeth whitening (with Zoom! this time) and I had a very positive experience coming back in. Dr. Zak (?) welcomed me in and was very relatable and friendly and helped me understand the teeth whitening process. He explained and helped address my concerns and made sure I was happy. The entire teeth whitening process went along much better this time, and I enjoyed the attentiveness and care that Dr. Zak and his dental assistant Cynthia provided. Throughout the whitening session, both of them took the time to check up on me to make sure that I wasn't having any trouble or feeling any sensitivity in the teeth. They went above and beyond to make sure my experience was enjoyable and positive. The session included guards on the gum and whitening gel like last time, but also included the Zoom!. The Zoom! felt like a warm light on the gums and while I didn't feel too much sensitivity, Dr. Zak and Cynthia were very careful in ensuring that it wasn't too much at any point, carefully checking on me throughout the session. The Zoom! might be a bit strong if your teeth are more sensitive than mine. After the session I was very happy with the results, my teeth were noticeably brighter and I've even gotten compliments on them! I was also offered a take home kit for all my troubles. Overall I am truly amazed at the great service and care I have received, and I am very happy with the way Brite Clean Smiles has reached out to me to address the issues I was having. It is really great when a business takes the time to ensure that their customers are happy and resolves their concerns, and it is even greater when they take the time to reach out to them. When it came time to having a full set of x-rays and a teeth cleaning, there is no one better than the hygienist, Patty. She is very thorough, extremely gentle, and has many years of experience in the field of dentistry to pass on to her patients. Lastly, Dr. Girgis is probably the nicest, kindest, and most helpful dentist I have been to. His bedside manner is as good as it gets and I would trust him with any dental procedure I might need. I have looking for an honest dentist for a long time and I think I have found him. Dr. Girgis and Anna were very gentle, calm and kind. I have been to many high end dentists with all the frills, but their work is questionable. Brite Clean Smiles is neat and clean, no frills, just GOOD, HONEST dentistry. I had a deep cavity and the doctor said I would most likely need a crown and/or root canal, but he would try to do his best to save my tooth. Dr. Girgis and Lee, the receptionist scheduled me in a first thing in the morning within a few days because Dr. Girgis was concerned about my cavity getting worse. GREAT NEWS: Dr. Girgis was able to save my tooth with a filling instead of a crown! This exceed my expectations! He said that a crown was not necessary at this time and I shouldn't have any problems, even with my Bruxism. He did all this work in 40 minutes without pain.
