This was our first time visiting and we're excited to try a local burger in hopes for fresh, made to order food, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. My husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger, but when our food came out, it was missing the bacon. We let the staff know, and instead of simply fixing the cashier's mistake, we were told we had to get back in line and pay the difference, which was $4 for 2 pieces of bacon. We also asked for a side of ranch for our onion rings and were told we had to go back in line again to pay 75 cents. We did, only to realize later that the onion rings already came with ranch. What a waste. It just felt like a lot of unnecessary back and forth, and no one seemed interested in making the situation right or improving our experience. One of the servers and busboys were nicer, so that helped a bit. As for the food, it was just okay. My husband liked his burger, but both of us thought the burger patties were on the smaller and thinner side. Mine reminded me more of a smash burger, but without much flavor to make it stand out. The patty got lost in the buns and typical burger ingredients. I did not particularly enjoy the onion rings. I know my onion rings and I typically order onion rings from local burger joints as most of them are fresh made. I could not figure out if these were homemade or not as the outer crust was just too crunchy, which reminded me of a fast food chain. My son ordered the Chipotle chicken sandwich and gave it a 4 out of 5. He liked the flavor and said the chicken was thin enough that it was easy to eat. He also ordered the chili cheese fries, and the portion was huge. Overall, the prices were reasonable for a sit down restaurant, but the food did not taste especially fresh. The onion rings did not seem homemade to me, the fries were not that good, and the burger patties were very thin. Nothing about the meal really stood out enough to make me want to come back. Who is my first time trying this place and I went to order a club combo and was disappointed in the size of my drink. The price is being different on my receipt then what was showed on the menu Being charged 70 cents per sauce I know things are expensive now, but $19 for a club sandwich with a small drink and burnt fries was a little underwhelming. I was looking for a place to eat while running errands and happened to stumble across this spot. I'm glad I did because the food was delicious. I ordered the burger combo, and both the burger and fries were fresh. The portion of fries was generous, especially for a combo meal. The service was excellent. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and helped right away. After ordering, they gave me a table number to place at the edge of my table along with a cup for the self-serve soda fountain. The restaurant has a nostalgic, old-school feel with a modern touch. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, so finding a table was pretty easy. The burger reminded me of the kind you'd get from a lunch truck back in the day, but even fresher. It brought back some great memories. Overall, this is a great place to grab a delicious burger. We always come here and get the food to go cause we live right down the street. We all always try to get different orders and share because they are huge orders. The chicken strip are enough for 3 people to share easily. We also always try to order something different to try but are stuck on the same everytime Chili Verda Fries excellent Fish and fries. Ordered online and food was prepped on time and still warm and tasty as we ate it at home (about 15 minute drive) Burger was meaty, not super salty from seasoning, and did not come with soggy buns. The simple lettuce, tomato, onion, and burger sauce was wrote than enough. The burger is also huge so we split it between 2 people. The star of our order: chili cheese fries. We had it with grilled onions, jalapeños and a side of ranch. Although it is a heavy item, it didn't feel heavy and extra greasy for us. Angelo's has been consistently good since this location re-opened. The portions are large and always fresh. There is usually plenty of seating, but it can get very busy. Went back for breakfast again and made it just before the morning rush. Ordered the usual French toast combo and also ordered the egg sandwich. Both are top notch. The egg sandwich has tomato, lettuce and your choice of bacon or sausage and is enough to share. The French toast combo is also large , flavorful and can be two breakfasts really. Customer service is always good and make sure you tip the staff as even though I received take out they deserve more for their dedication to great breakfasts. There might be a little meat in there if you are lucky. The prices need to be updated. There's a huge increase for obvious reasons. Picked up a pastrami sandwich after biking. Solid portion and came with two of them yellow peppers. Thought about the consequences for about five seconds before biting into the first pepper. Tore through the first half of the sandwich and felt good. Opened the second half and it had even more meat than the first. Inhaled that and the second pepper. Now I'm walking back and forth trying to digest before I shower because I'm covered in mustard and oil. First issue was the drink size is down from a 20 oz. to maybe a 16 oz (size you'd normally get as a water cup). Didn't really bother me but when I got home (5 minutes away) I bit into a burger that was lukewarm almost the same temp as the veggies on it. Are they using a heating lamp and storing already cooked patties and then assembling it. The red flag should've went up when it took less than 5 minutes for my meal to be complete. Quite disappointing as I feel I would've got at least a warm burger at McDonalds down the way! This was my first time coming here & my boyfriend's second time coming here. My boyfriend told me their carne asada fries are good. He has tried the burgers too and he said they're good. Their meat fries have two sizes small & large. Today, we both got a large meat fries & shared. It has carne asada and chicken fries come with refried beans, fresh guacamole, sour cream, melted Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses, pico de gallo, and jalapenos. Chile verde fries come with their tender pork drenched in green chile and melted Monterey Jack and shredded cheese. My boyfriend loved the carne asada fries and rates it a 4/5 since its pack with great flavor, texture was smooth, and easy to bite. I love carne asada fries since it's my favorite dish the meat is very flavorful, easy to chew, fries are soft wish they were crispier, and love the pico, sour cream, and guacamole. I also love the cheese pull! Their sauce that comes with it is very smooth and delicious. Their menu has breakfast, omelette, breakfast burrito & sandwiches, sides, combos, burgers, sandwiches, south of boarder, dinner, salads, sides, and beverages such as soda foundations where you can refill your drink. The service was fast & employee is very nice and friendly. There is plenty of parking. The store has a great atmosphere, spacious, and clean. My husband and I ended up trying an order of Carne Asada fries and an Avocado Bacon cheeseburger. We went with the large size of fries and it was HUGE. The carne asada was pretty good. The cheeseburger was nothing special but it was beautifully in tact and still good. If you're in the area, def give it a try! Service was okay. Nothing stood out. We came here after visiting Disneyland. Glad we did. Husband got a cheeseburger and fries and said it was really good. I got their taquito plate and they were some of the best I've ever had. Shredded beef was flavorful, tortilla was crispy all the way through. Beans and rice were also good. They gave a green and red salsa and both are good. I haven't been to Angelo's in almost 20 years, and I have to say, our family ate well, and had plenty of leftovers. My son ordered the chicken strip dinner (HUGE PORTION!). My hubby and I split a steak dinner and my other son ordered a burger. Everyone enjoyed the food. Steak was ordered medium but came out well done.
