They asked personal, in-depth questions that made us feel confident that they were the people for the job. We wanted the food at our wedding to reflect Charleston's cuisine since we had a lot of out of town guests, and several guests said it was the best fried chicken and shrimp and grits they ever had. For cocktail hour, we had a beautiful Southern antipasto spread with biscuits, pimento cheese, and all the fixings. We were blown away during the tasting and they made everything so easy. They even coordinated the rentals for our linens through Snyder, which was a huge help. They were super professional and we had a perfect wedding day thanks to them. Andrew was punctual, incredibly helpful, and a pleasure to work with. the value was great considering how flawless the service was. he set up while we had cocktails and before you knew it we were eating fresh (really delicious) crabs. while we did that, he set up the boil with real plates and silverware, tables, etc; we didn't even notice and we just moved on to the next part of the meal. as we finished desert, we looked up and everything was clean and put back in its place. it was a great experience and the food was fresh, local, and high quality. as a charleston native, it was great to come back and remember how much i missed the food. i highly recommend the smoking pot!

I am a big fan of their crab cakes and their ribs. They have a pretty good smorgasbord of food, plenty of salads and meats and seafood selections. There's really no dining in, you either get catering or get food to go. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. I never have to wait in line either, and they have really great lunch and dinner specials. I'd much rather get a meal from Steve Brown's than go through a drive through fast food place. His food will keep you full for hours.

We did everything by phone and email. (We had been to Christmas parties that they catered, so we already knew the quality.) We had heavy hors d'oeuvres since it was outdoors. Jeff made recommendations on food and quantity based on our needs. They showed up promptly, with everything they needed, from tables, trash cans, oven, cooktops, napkins, etc. It was amazing. In one hour they had got and fresh food ready to serve. We also used the bartender service, which was worth every penny. The quests loved it. Everyone was very sweet, professional and they patrolled the area to make sure everyone was good. They then packed everything up and most importantly CLEANED UP! They even took their trash away with them. Oh and did I mention the food was fantastic and the amount was perfect. We had very little left over. All of our quest raved about the food! Thank goodness for the reviews! They were on point. Chef Chris was extremely professional and his food was amazing. Not only did Chef Chris provide the catering, but he also was the point person for my table, chairs, and linen rental and the bar service. Having Chef Chris as the point person was a life saver, giving me a single point of contact for multiple moving parts! Our wedding reception was held at out of town and very casual yacht club. It was a bit of a schlep from Charleston (about a 40 minute drive) and didn't have a freezer. Chef Chris brought *everything* he needed, including an ingenious way to keep ice cream without a freezer on site (not sure how he did it, but I assume I would have been impressed). His staff was terrific and multiple guests said the bar service staff was also wonderful. The food was perfect! We had the low-country boil and it was AMAZING! The shrimp were HUGE and the corn was crisp, potatoes were perfect, and the sausage was bursting. We also had pulled pork on soft buns, as well as salad and green beans. No wedding cake - we went with apple cobbler. All my guests commented on the food, during and after the wedding reception.
