Food was average at best. The prices for the amount of food given seem to be extremely high for the area.

A quick google search led me to Ti-Ney Bangkok, and all things started lining up. The reviews were solid, the menu looked amazing, and this location was local to my home in Goose Creek. After a failed attempt at ordering online, I realized they do not open until 4 pm so keep that in mind if dining here. I placed my order at 4pm on the dot when I arrived at the restaurant 25 minutes later and my food was already boxed up ready for pick up. That's incredible for having ordered two entrees and an appetizer, there were also other people picking up orders at the same time. The appetizer I ordered was the Moo Ping, which was simple yet flavorful. I wish that they would go heavier on the glaze for it. This dish is thin strips of pork so there's a delicate balance between cooking to a safe temperature and over cooking. My order which didn't survive the first round of eating was a little on the overcooked side, but still very tasty. Also served with a tangy dipping sauce more on the liquid side of the dipping sauce spectrum. In my opinion I think a nice soy ginger dipping sauce would have been a better fit for this. I didn't mind the sauce, but it wasn't something I was looking to go back too for every bite. My first entrée was the Pad Thai, which they did and amazing job with. The noodles were cooked properly, the perfect amount of sauce was used, the chopped peanuts and lime slice. Everything you would expect from Pad Thai, my dish was served with chicken also prepared extremely well. There isn't too much to report on the Pad Thai as expectations were met and I was very satisfied. For my second entrée I ordered the Khao Moo Krob, which is rice served with fried pork belly and vegetables topped with a glaze. Very delicious, and what I really appreciated was the vegetables still had that slight crunch to them that tells you, fresh not frozen, vegetables are being used. In the dish though, the pork belly should have been the star of the show, and for certain bites, it very much was. There just were to many pieces that were over fried, and the meaty parts were very dry and tough to chew, but the fatty parts were still those delectable little nuggets of goodness we are all looking for. This dish also has a sauce that they pour over the rice and just like my appetizer, at least double the amount of sauce more should have been utilized. Those dishes have so much more potential with some minor adjustments. Overall Ti-Ney Bangkok earned every star given to them. The restaurant is clean, and decoration is fitting. You also cant beat the speed in which the food is ready to be picked up and everything still comes hot and delicious. They just need to slow down a little and make minor corrections and there is no reason this couldn't be a 5-star review. Visited 13 May 2023

This is one of those locally owned, family-run restaurants that reminds you exactly why you should support small businesses. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the staff is genuinely friendly, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. Chef John freshly prepared the Pork Schnitzel, and it was outstanding! The pork cutlets were perfectly tender on the inside with a beautiful, crispy golden breading, topped with freshly diced red peppers and green onions. It was served with lemon wedges, creamy mashed potatoes. Tasted like fresh from the garden cut onions, bell peppers, zucchini and caramelized onions sautéed. Everything tasted fresh and made with care -- not like something that came out of a freezer or was simply reheated. You can tell there is fresh and real pride going into the food here. And then came dessert... WOW! We tried the freshly made Crème Brûlée Donut and Strawberry Cheesecake, and they were seriously TO DIE FOR! The Crème Brûlée Donut was unlike anything I've had before, and the strawberry cheesecake was absolutely delicious. We couldn't decide which one we liked better! From the freshly prepared food to the desserts, friendly service and great atmosphere, The Southern General is the kind of hidden gem you want to tell everyone about. If you're visiting or anywhere near Johns Island, South Carolina, put this restaurant on your list. Come hungry, save room for dessert, and definitely try Chef John's Pork Schnitzel. We will absolutely be back to try more food on the menu! Especially, his Chilean sea bass 10/10 -- highly recommend!
