Some of the best pizza pies we've ever had. We were doing a day in the North Fork, and we had heard great things. This is a place this is definitely worth going out of your way for. It's in the basement level of an art gallery to make it seem like a speakeasy. Really dark in there. Probably good for a date out there. Small menu with a handful of apps, handful of white pies, and a handful of red pies. We got an arugula salad with tomatoes, goat cheese, and grapefruit, a clams casino pie (white), and an nduja pizza (red). Larger pizzas. One is too little for two people, 2 is too much. Top notch pies coming out though. The clams casino was my favorite. Great flavor. Clams were fresh and not overpowering

Chill neighborhood spot that feels like hanging out in your buddy's basement. The cocktails are fantastic and the pizza is even better. Highly recommend getting meatballs on your pizza.

Brix and Rye is a small speakeasy that was a great find. Although there was no room when we dropped by, our server (Daniel?) took our number and let us know he'd text us when a table was ready. My husband and I ended up playing shuffleboard upstairs while we waited. Tip: you're able to order drinks and have those drinks upstairs while you wait! We got seated within 20 minutes and our server was super attentive, despite being the only server making the rounds between various tables. I'm unfortunately forgetting the names off the top of my head, but we got the red pie with Nonna's meatballs as well as the white pie with clams. Both were fantastic. My husband doesn't usually eat crusts, but he ate the crusts of this pizza, saying that it was one of the best he's had. It was a bit dark, but that's to be expected for a speakeasy. Definitely a place to take a date or stop by for a casual night out with friends. It can get crowded and loud (even at 9p!) but we enjoyed our time and because there aren't as many tables, could still chat and hear each other. I'd definitely stop by again and try some other pizzas!

I read about this place before our trip out to Greenport. It's been named best cocktails in quite a few places! There's no sign on the storefront, so we weren't even sure if we had the right place. Once you enter, you go downstairs to a dark bar. Cocktails are great, and pizzas are also delish. Menu is limited to mostly pizza and salad so if you want anything other than that, this night not be your place for dinner. They also had meatballs. My favorite cocktail was the Second Language and the Short Sword was fantastic, and had quite a kick. Our bartender was friendly and kind.

Visited Greenport for me and my girlfriend's anniversary, stopped here for some drinks and pizza not expecting too much and were honestly blown away. The owner helped us out in picking cocktails based on our likes and dislikes and they all turned out amazing. The pizza was delicious with many different topping options and you could tell they were made fresh. This place is an awesome little spot in Greenport and I cannot recommend enough. *Ps: mashed potatoes, bacon and caramelized onions on a white pie...just trust me

We did a last minute trip to Greenport last night. Glad we did. We had a great time! Walked around a bit and decided to try Brix & Rye. We got there at a good time because we got a table right away. We were IDed at the door and walked down the stairs and sat down. It was dim lit/ dark and we got a menu right away. What we ordered: - Nonna Lucille's Wood Fired Meatballs - Classic Margarita - sauce pie, fresh mozzarella, basil, garlic - white wine (I forgot which) - Devil Take the Hindmost - Applejack, Jamaican Rum, Stone Pine Liquor, Strega, Orange Bitters We were full by the time we were done. I had such a great experience here...I'm glad we got to try it. Everything we got was delicious! Try this place out! You'll have a great time. I'll be back, for sure. Sorry about the dark pictures...it was pretty dark. So dark that a complete stranger put his candle on the side of my pizza for better lighting lol.

A stellar mai tai (Trader Vic's 1944 style) at Greenport's Brix & Rye.

After an afternoon of visiting some of the North Fork's wineries for my birthday, my wife and I hit Greenport and decided to try the funky Brix & Rye for dinner. We weren't disappointed in this dark, cozy, romantic speakeasy-type pizza and cocktails joint. Yes, pizza and cocktails, two of my favorite things to consume, and consume them we did! The lights are low (you might need your phone's flashlight to read the menu, as we did) but that adds to the ambience. The service was awesome, our host made sure we were comfy and well taken care of. The cocktail list is superb and imaginative (very Brooklyn), but I went with a classic, a stellar mai tai (Trader Vic's 1944 style). Authentic and amazing. For pizzas, my wife and I split the house margarita and Italian Scallion, both were delicious. Will be back for more drinks and pizzas next time we are out East.

Why have I been walking past Alpina everytime I'm in Greenport?…read more Was it the dark atmosphere? Did I think I was getting just another American-German influenced restaurant with only brats and potato pancakes? Did I expect polka? The experience was actually slow and refined, without the white tablecloths. Alpina has German, Swiss, and slightly Northern Italian influenced cuisine, along with a selection of alcohols I was completely unfamiliar with... which made the experience feel full of new things. The most memorable food was actually one of the simplest. The chef prepared incredibly creamy, caramelized onions with a slight sauerkraut tang that was amazeballs. I told our waiter that I'd write him a love letter over it, and here I am! The pappardelle had shredded duck, cheese, and big, fun, chewy noodles that were satisfying to slurp. It just needed a dash of pepper to elevate it. The meat and cheese board included a few things I'd never tried before, and it was so good I was searching for a meat shop in Manhattan so we could buy them again. Portion sizes aren't huge for the price, but it was worth it to us. Don't be afraid of the dark entrance, the ligonberry on the menu, and ask the bartender about the connection between the giant copper gnome and penguin shaker gone rouge.

I felt a little to gaslit when the waitress said that was little gem but as I eat it regularly I know the difference between whole leaves and cut up romaine. They obviously ran out from the holiday but the salad should be cheaper since the substituted ingredients cost less. It was really just the Temu version of what I ordered. It still tasted good but would be nice to be know ahead of time that what you order is different. The burrata also looked different than the photo and I wouldn't have ordered it if I'd known it was going to be covered in balsamic glaze. The manager was super friendly and apologetic and explained they were out of things (pappardelle ragu, Bloody Mary mix, etc) due to the weekend. They also ran out of real napkins so cocktail napkins were it. My mom ordered the lobster cavatelli and she got Alfredo on linguini with cheese all over it. Forgot to take a photo but probably better off since an Italian would pass away if they saw it. The branzino was well cooked, not my favorite flavor. The big red pepper that came with it was apparently on vacation too. My aunt said the linguini was decent but had cockles instead of clams. Really wanted to try the berries and hand whipped cream but wasn't going to risk being disappointed with the dish looking nothing like the photo once again. We ordered the Little Gem Salad but when it arrived, it was served with romaine lettuce (not little gem), and when we asked the waitress she at first said that it was little gem but then acknowledged that they were out of it and substituted it with romaine (without telling us). A manager sauntered over to our table a few minutes later and asked if everything was alright -- He didn't apologize for the salad mix-up or anything and just played it off like he was paying special attention to us. Just weird and not very professional. Otherwise the food was decent. The pizza was good but small. My branzino was quite good and an ample portion. Also the corn agnolotti was really delicious. Definitely a highlight of the meal. So overall good experience, although we were all put off by our unskilled waitresses handling of our order and managing a clear mistake by the restaurant.
