My daughter wanted to go here for her birthday. I agreed against my better judgement, well, because it was her birthday, her choice. The food was good, not fantastic, but good. The problem was the waitress. She started by telling us how overloaded they were because of two large groups of people and a catering event. Okay, no problem. We were good with that. Although the catering event shouldn't have been an issue. You would have staffed for that, right?? Anywho, she was one of the most unfriendly people I've ever had as a waitress. Tried to tell her that we were there for my daughter's birthday. She literally ignored me. Never smiled. Barked out everything she said or asked. Was downright rude when we mentioned we needed another water. Even my sweet girls, who have been servers and know that sometimes you just have an off day, were appalled at her behavior and the way she treated us. We felt so unwelcome and tried to figure out what we had said or done to warrant the very cold treatment. So, long story long lol....none of us will ever be going back. Looked over the menu and everything sounded so good. My sweetheart ordered the PNW, Pacific Northwest Benedict. It was a 3/4" thick, Fresh, perfectly cooked flaky salmon fillet on wonderful Tuscan toast with fresh arugula and home made hollandaise sauce. It also came with a half a charred lemon. She ordered it with loaded country potatoes. Best salmon Benedict either of us ever had, so flavorful and flaky. We both were amazed. The loaded Country potatoes were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, seasoned wonderfully, loaded with crispy bacon, onions, cheese and sour cream. Perfect accompaniment. This is a new favorite! My fiancé and I both agree. We ended up here by accident and we were both skeptical. We LOVED it! He had the French Dip on ciabatta. A generous amount of meat and amazing french fries! He really enjoyed it. I had the avocado quesadilla. It was incredible. It had ripe avocado, green chilies, and a spinach tortilla, with a chipotle sour cream sauce. So good. The salsa was homemade, but had little flavor and a lot of heat. The cook overheard me say that and he brought me a red salsa that had flavor, but reminded me more of pace. I commend him on his service though!! The staff was friendly. I love Brix and am a frequent customer. My last few visits have been frustrating. 1. Waiting at the small doorway to be seated with three staff milling about and not one making eye contact or greeting. This actually has happened every time I visit. The restaurant is small and there are clearly tables available. The entrance is very small and 5ere is no place designated to wait to be seated. Until you are seated you are standing right next to diners. 2. Server dropping off meal, and the CHECK at the same time (!), and no follow-up to see if everything is good or needed. We needed more napkins and ended up grabbing from an empty table. 3. Hostess was attentive but not equipped to take orders; didn't remember specials. 4. Drink refill was incorrect. Food is good, sometimes very good, but expensive for Roseburg. It is not a problem when the service is good too. Lately I have felt cheated because the service has been sub par. read more

My boss and I were driving down to Medford and we stopped in Roseburg for dinner along the way. We got the special appetizer of the night which was an artichoke dip with jalapenos and other ingredients that was really well done. It had a good amount of spice to kick up the flavor. Then for the main meal my boss and I each got the California Ahi Tuna and were both pleased with the entrée. It had a touch too much Bleu Cheese for my taste but other than that the Tuna was cooked very well and the meal was great. Service was good as the food came out in a reasonable time and my water was kept full, which is an accomplishment because I drink a lot of water at restaurants. read more

Three of us ate at Brix on July 27, 2018. I picked the place because the menu looked appealing. Two of us had the teriyaki chicken bowl. It was just okay. The main thing we noticed about this restaurant was the sour attitude from the staff. We initially were going to sit indoors, downstairs but decided to sit outdoors after my husband realized there was outdoor seating. We got a rather snotty remark from the waiter after he realized we were moving; I guess he didn't like losing a potential tip. The wait staff were not friendly and they were about the most unprofessional wait staff I've seen in a long time. Grungy would best describe their appearance. They appeared to have no interest in their job either. The bill came to $84 with the tip. So...we walked away with a fairly significant tab and food that was average at best. The service was way below average. The management should consider properly training their wait staff. We would never consider eating here again. read more

Had the service been better I would have given five stars. High quality food, really the only good place for brunch on Roseburg. The environment and ambiance was very calm and peaceful. The restaurant is well maintained and the decor is very stylish and not gaudy or overwhelming. I had the Tuscan French toast with sausage (the sausage is a bit anise-y) and over medium eggs.
