I may have had too high expectations of this place but I was just very disappointed with my visit. Now I really love potatoes and will eat them for lunch on a regular basis, so the food concept is not the problem. I think I was expecting a build-your-own potato bar and that is not was I got; the business model is based on pre-selected recipes that you may choose from - enchilada style, Thai style, chili and cheese, basic butter and chives, etc. My 10-year old companion ordered the kids chili and cheese potato- which seemed hard to mess up. However, the potato skin was so hard (old?) that he broke his fork trying to cut through the skin. I tried to help him and I agreed something was definitely off with the potato. The chili was just ok, tasted liked canned chili to me... nothing special. I ordered the enchilada style with pork and it was a little bland with some of veggies (corn and green peppers) not quite working with the overall flavor profile. The pork itself was rather bland and needed some kind of spice to make it "enchilada style." Overall, something was just lacking at Brixton's. I don't think I will return and just stick to my own potato concoctions at home. Perhaps if they offered a custom build your own I would reconsider, but at this time I just don't think it is worth visiting again. read more

Brixton, I can't wait for you to come to California. Their speciality- baked potatoes. Served traditional, mashed, or sliced. With different sides ranging from mere veggies (and i love me some greenies!) to pulled pork. Guess what I chose!? Yeah, the pulled pork version. Might as well get the Daddy of 'em all, as this ain't available in Cali. Mine had bbq pulled pork, served traditional (just like a regular baked potato, with one huge slit), topped off with a heap of coleslaw. I don't like any of the ingredients they use - don't know how you mess up baked potatoes but here we are ‍ everything just tastes a little off and bland to me. We made a very poor decision to walk into this place for a late dinner 20 minutes before they closed on a Saturday night. We waited 5 minutes for someone to take our order while the cashier stood talking to another customer. Finally, her co-worker walked out from the back and took our order. They were obviously not happy about us walking in saying they were closing. I get it. I have worked in the food business. You want to leave asap after the business hours but if you don't want to serve food until you're officially closed then maybe post it. My son ordered a waffle with berries and bacon, and they weren't sure they had enough waffle batter. They very obviously did not want to prepare any more of anything. They said they were out of bacon and asked if he'd be ok with just berries. Then, they were out of berries.. then encouraged him to try the caramel pecan, apparently that was the least labor intensive item they could muster together on this undercooked and 3/4 sized waffle! The soup was microwaved and appeared they simply emptied their cheese and chives into the top and sent us on our way. Would never recommend and will never go back! read more

We were so excited to find the menu appealing on line. Stayed at the hotel across the street so access was paramount. Menu looked great, prices were great. Owner/manager didn't wear a mask. My potatoe was undercooked. Topping for the beef stew wasn't anything like the pics. The broccoli in the broccoli cheese soup was warm but essentially raw. Each of the three of us didn't find the potatoes as a meal that filling. But they do have some interesting pre-selected topping combos--and the three we tried tasted decent. (The BBQ sauce is quite sweet, though.) Yet by dinner time when we ate (~7 pm) we found it was really hard to cut the potato skins with their plastic ware; so they seemed like they had been on warm in the oven for too long. Before I stepped foot into the place I described it as "like Subway but with potatoes" and when I got there, I was right! Don't expect rare purple gourmet potato with glitter here. It's a basic potato bar but you don't do it yourself that's decently priced. Such a fun place for dinner! I bought the Groupon and we have it a try. Who would have thought a potato bar would such a great idea for a restaurant?! I loved the concept and loved the food! I got the Thai curry soup which was really delicious. I loved the creaminess and the edamame! I also ordered the Chinese chicken green salad which was scrumptious! The toppings were plentiful and all was fresh. My husband ordered the chili verde baked potato with pork as the meat. It was so good! It was a cold day outside and the warm potato and soup was so comforting and good! The roll that comes with the soup was so good, too! The service was great and the girls were friendly. I talked with the owner and she was nice. I did feel a little awkward when she showed me the Trump tshirt and then said something about not being able to sell them now that Biden is in. I just wasn't sure how to respond and for sure didn't want to talk politics. That aside, the food is great, service is good, and the restaurant was cute and clean. I loved stuffed potatoes but I left disappointed. You get to choose between a small and a medium- I picked medium. The guy working at the counter was very friendly, and I did come in about 45 minutes to closing time, so I can understand if things weren't in tip-top potato shape. The potato came out of an over but it was obvious it'd been sitting in there for a while, again, it was 45 minutes to close- I can understand why it was a little hard on the bottom. They mash it up nice and put all the toppings on it based on a pre-made selection. Another reviewed made a good point- I thought it was a build your own, that would be a really nice option. I got the chile verde after asking for recommendations from the employee. His first recommendation was the bacon cheddar but I needed a little more protein so I picked his second favorite. There wasn't much flavor but there was a lot of cheese! =) I liked that they put it through the oven, warmer so that the cheese melts and you're not left with partially melted areas. It's a nice place to grab a quick bite to eat and I'd recommend it for lunch. The medium was plenty big and I only ate half and the price was good. If I was in a hurry and had to eat something I'd swing by, but I'm not likely to go out of my way to come back. read more

I went in to pick up an order and two women working up front (they may be the owners) were not wearing masks. This is in violation of Weber county health standards. On top of the brazen safety violation, it is selfish and incredibly disrespectful. They are willing to put their customer's health, safety, and ultimately, lives at risk in order to make their political point and unquestioningly do as Donald Trump tells them(as if the Trump paraphernalia doesn't drive home the point clearly enough.) Trump is disgusting but their willingness to potentially inflict harm upon their customers is even more disgusting. I shudder to think about their other sanitary standards. read more

This is a lovely place with delicious food, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere. I travel to Ogden about twice a year, and this is one of the handful of places here I make sure to frequent each time I return. Sure enough, I went in today, after flying in from Texas, to get a baked potato. Curious, I ordered the 'Texan' one and the Del Verde one for a friend. Being well acquainted with things Texan, I was surprised and delighted at not only how appetizing my potato looked, but how truly delicious it was. A fine balance of flavors, nicely put together for me to enjoy. The chili on my potato was rich and bold, and my friend said the salsa and pork on his potato were to die for. Upon my leaving the establishment, the entire staff kindly waved goodbye and wished me well. It's this type of customer service you wish every business had. 5/5 stars, and I would easily return. Let this one prove those other haters wrong. This place rocks. read more

I LOVE baked potatoes and this is the best place! They have so many different types of topped potatoes. Their salads are really food too. My kids love the kids meal with the "mashed and cheese" potato, it comes with an amazing butter sauce! The staff is increasingly friendly too. It is a great spot to eat in downtown Ogden. read more

Today I was in need of a good baked potatoe. I decided to try Brixton's in Ogden. I was hesitant based on the prices. $3.50 - $7. The potatoe was pretty good but the price is why I most likely will not go again. I can buy a 10 lb bag for less than the price of the potatoe I purchased. The potatoes were medium-sized, had they been any smaller though, I would definitely not go again. The business and employees were nice and pleasant, we'll lit and clean.
