Stopped by early afternoon, and it was packed. Finding any kind of parking was difficult, but managed to get there right as someone else was leaving so I was able to take their parking spot. I walked over and there was a line. While I waited I noticed that they do have indoor and outdoor seating. Most people were sitting outside in small groups. This would be a great spot to catch up with friends and/or people watch. Inside they have a case of pastries available for purchase. I didn't see a food menu but it was busy so maybe I just missed it. I ordered an iced strawberry matcha and an iced pistachio matcha. Total came out to $16. A bit pricey but it was a treat. Drinks were quickly prepared. Strawberry matcha: I loved it. The drink tasted fresh. Sometimes it can taste like jam, but this strawberry layer tasted light and perfectly sweet. You can still taste the matcha. Nice cold foam on top. It was perfect. Pistachio matcha: this was my favorite. The pistachio was not artificial tasting. I got little bits of pistachio throughout the drink. Not sweet at all. Light and delicate. Still tasted the matcha. Perfect amount of cold foam. It was nicely balanced. I would order this again. Such a cute area and alot of yummy drink options. My favorite was the Japanese brown sugar oat latte, specifically with the cold foam on top. We paid extra for these sealed cans which made it such a cute and fun experience. It was nice to get the flight, but the best drink was still the Japanese oat drink. I had the JB Oat Latte and LOVED it. I initially came for Matcha, but I chatted with the ladies at the counter and was convinced otherwise. Next time, though, I'm coming for a Matcha and won't get distracted... or maybe I'll get both. It's that good. Portions are decent for the price and quality. The drinks are creative and aesthetically pleasing, which is always a big plus. Despite the rather long line, service was efficient and the wait was quite minimal. They offer several pastries and breakfast/brunch bites, including yogurt bowls and parfaits. The croissants are quite large. You'll also notice a variety of breakfast burritos with interesting ingredients. I'll come hungry next time so that I can enjoy one - they are quite sizable. This coffee shop gets BUSY, and I can see why. It's in one of the newer multi-use complexes in Calabasas, across the way from the Commons and Shibuya, with a dedicated underground parking lot in addition to street parking. Expect the parking to be a bit tricky during peak hours (which seems like anytime, from what I saw and have been told). A couple months later I thought it was time to update my review. I have noticed that the drinks they have on tap such as the iced vanilla latte are so much better than any of the drinks make on the spot such as the americano. Every time I order an iced americano with a splash of milk I end up getting more of a watery latte. I do enjoy their matcha as well as their food/bakery selection, especially the chia puddings. Running some errands in Calabasas and checked to see if there was an independent coffee shop nearby. Calabasas Coffee House was 2-minutes away and they offered order ahead on the Toast app. Happy I ordered ahead because there was a line out the door when I arrived. I slid by patrons who were ordering and chatting with one another as well as the staff and picked up my drinks from a kind and service oriented staff member. Told him I had a breakfast burrito too and he went to check on its status. He came back to report it was still in the oven but not too long after that my order was complete. He asked if I wanted a drink carrier and bag for my food. I was blown away by his service mindset because that's becoming a thing of the past. Kudos to you! The atmosphere was lovely with its gorgeous floral arrangements inside and outside the business. Communal table available inside to sit at and some seating in the window facing out onto the street. More than a couple of outdoor tables and chairs in front. I took street parking over attempting any parking lot. Iced strawberry matchas were photo worthy and the strawberry was tasty but the matcha didn't have much flavor. The breakfast burrito was solid. It's a cute place located down the street from the Commons with limited parking near the front but I hear there is an "underground" parking lot...The woman at the counter greeted us and let me sample the Japanese Brown Sugar Latte with Oat Milk...She had me at "brown sugar." I ordered it with light ice ~ smooth, not too sweet and definitely made my day brighter on a gloomy cold day:) My daughter got her usual matcha which was beautiful to look at and even better to drink. There are several tables out front on the patio and a few inside towards the back of the cafe. They also serve food but we passed on that this trip. High on my coffee list! I went here on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed. Ordering was semi quick, I got the double matcha w/ maple and oat milk. I noticed while they made my matcha, they didn't do the traditional whisk and bowl like you do to prepare matcha. I saw them pour the matcha from those bottles you use for syrups so I was a little suspicious of that maybe they use the whisk before and put it in the bottle idk but it was very interesting. I asked for a tad sweet and unfortunately the maple syrup (my sweetener of choice) def overpowered the matcha. They put way too much and couldn't taste the matcha at all. I was sad cause the color looked great but it was too sweet. I possible might come back to try again because maybe unsweetened would be better, not sure. Nonetheless there's a lot of seating outdoor and indoors which was nice. The coconut water matcha is a must!! It's so refreshing and tasty but I wish the matcha was a bit richer for the cream top. It's not comparable to what you can get in KTOWN (rok, stagger, damo) but in the valley, it's a must try! Not too many places service this type of matcha (coconut matcha cloud). Usually, I get the double matcha at other places but absolutely don't try that here. It's bitter and watery at the same time. This place is located a few blocks from The Commons and more in to the residential side. There's underground parking available, but since it was a Saturday, parking was not a problem. There are 2 10min parking spots right above ground, so if you are able to score those spots, that would be ideal. The parking spaces are pretty wide and high clearance. Took the elevator up and immediately stood in line for about 5 minutes. One thing I will say is that there's a lot of hype with this place and it shows with the line out the door. They do close early at 3pm everyday, so plan accordingly. One thing I would suggest to management is to provide menus for folks standing outside or in line so that we don't have to wait til we get to the counter because the menu board behind the counter doesn't provide any explanation/details as to what the drinks consist of. If there were menus we can look at, it would definitely make the line move quicker as we don't have to wait til we get to the counter to ask what comes in the drink. There was definitely a lot of confusion not only with us, but the people behind had questions also. On their menu board, they had a Signature section that consisted of CCH, Flight & Japanese Brown Sugar. We had to inquire about what that was as there were no details unless you had the menu and there was only 1 copy at the order counter. I ordered the Japanese Brown Sugar latte and was charged $8, though the menu showed $7.50. My wife ordered the Ice Strawberry Matcha but substituted it out for coffee instead of Matcha as we are not fans of Matcha. They have a large community table that seats about 6 people and 3 barstools up against the window. They also have a shared bathroom. Outside, there's about 12 tables. Which I would recommend you sit at since it's a little cramped inside. Unless it's raining or super windy. Now, I didn't think the Japanese Brown Sugar or the Iced Strawberry drink was blow you out of the water good. I thought the drinks were just average. Definitely better than Starbucks, but the JBS was on the bland side and didn't have much taste to it. Plus, it wasn't as sweet as I would have liked it to be. Overall, I feel this place feels more like a fad than anything as their drinks were not great and nothing stood out. I stopped by this coffee shop because of the hype. My first and last time there. I ordered a matcha and waited for 20-25min. I understand it was busy but that long for a matcha. I asked an employee for an update and with a bad attitude she said "Oh someone must have accidentally taken it" she didn't care to go look for my order. She then decided to make it on the spot which literally took 2 min. This other employee an older gentleman perhaps a supervisor in a rude way asked if I had placed my order online since he saw me waiting for a long time and didn't care to ask if I had been helped. CCH: Calabasas Coffee House. I discovered CCH on the way to Lake Calabasas for the July 4th Fun Run. I was able to stop by on a Monday morning. It wasn't busy and the shop is simply gorgeous and inviting. If I could, I would bring my dogs, sit outside, and sip on lattes all day! As a first timer I wanted to order one of each drink (haha!), but decided on a Golden Milk since I already had coffee. It was nothing short of delicious!! It's currently a seasonal item which is made with choice of milk (oat for me!), turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and pepper. Next time I'll make it dirty to include an espresso shot. But even without the espresso, the drink was so amazing, it made my day! Turmeric and ginger can help alleviate pain, improve digestion, boost immunity, enhance cognitive function, and promote healthy skin!! I found parking curbside, but I believe there is a small lot through the driveway. I'm so looking forward to returning. Calabasas Coffee House is such a gem! Parking is easy, you can either try your luck with street parking or just head straight to the underground structure, which I personally find more convenient. The vibe here is absolutely charming, cozy, warm, and super inviting. I love the fresh flowers at the counter and makes for a great photo opp too. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside, making it a great spot to hang out or grab coffee on the go. I've visited twice so far. The first time, I tried the Japanese Brown Sugar Latte with cold foam (so good!), and the second time I went with the vanilla latte. Both were delicious and so unique. I love that their cold brew is on tap -- it's smooth, bold, and really well done. The owners, a husband and wife duo, are the sweetest people. They were so friendly and even let me sample a bit of the cold brew before ordering, which I really appreciated. Both times I've taken my drinks to go, but I'm already looking forward to coming back with friends to relax and try more of their menu. My friend recommended that I check out the Calabasas Coffee House (CCH) and I'm so glad she put this spot on my radar. I had a fabulous matcha and parfait here which was much needed for my weekend roadtrip. CCH is easy to access as it's not too far from the freeway and nearby other local eateries. I appreciate that you can park on the street but they also have access to a large covered parking garage for business parking with an elevator. Made my early morning coffee run a breeze. Service was exceptional here. Ian took my order at the register and was super welcoming and inviting. I appreciate how proactive they are here, while Ian was ringing me up another nice gal had already started prepping my drink off to the side. Loved this because by the time I was done paying my drink was already ready for me. A+ service for sure and loved how nice everyone was. The inside is clean and fresh. It's a small coffee shop so I can imagine it gets pretty busy but coming early wasn't too bad. They have a couple of cute things of merch like clothing and cups. The menu was pretty extensive for drinks, they also had some bakery goods but I loved their cold bar with freshly made parfaits and fruit bowls. To drink I ordered the Iced strawberry matcha. It was fabulous. Super delicious and I loved the cream foam. Fresh strawberry puree and the matcha had good flavor. Could have been a little smoother on the matcha but would still give it a 5/5. It was really good. Happy to find healthier breakfast options here. I went with the vegan mango and chia pudding bowl which was lovely. Not too big of a portion, just right. Very tasty and a feel good protein meal. Another 5/5. I really love CCH and when I'm in the area I would definitely stop by again. I am a Calabasas local who's lived in Calabasas my entire life. I have been to the Coffee House a handful of times and have always enjoyed my drinks I get. I don't have any complaints about the quality of the drinks. However, I came on a Tuesday this week and ordered a matcha with cold foam. I never have any problems with cold foam, but there cold foam made my stomach upset and I had a stomachache. I asked for light cold foam and they packed my matcha with cold foam, to the point where I couldn't even taste my matcha. I have been calling since Tuesday and they never pick up their phone which is bad business to me. When I decided to drive there today to kindly ask for a remake and calmly explained what happened with my drink to the owner I was verbally abused by the owner Ian. When I got there, I was asking a very rude and arrogant young teenage adult girl behind the counter who appears to be his daughter ten times saying excuse me could you please help me. She rudely decided to ignore me to go speak to her friend and leave the counter. When I went to address her saying that I asked for her help ten times and confronted her for being behind the counter and not acknowledging I needed help with my drink remake. She was arrogantly smiling to her friend and her other rude and arrogant coworkers. She has extremely terrible customer service skills and is a brat. She constantly kept smiling the whole time at her other coworkers and her friends. She clearly saw how upset and uncomfortable I was. Very unwelcoming and unfriendly. She got the owner Ian to assist me from there. I calmly explained my situation to him saying I was there on Tuesday and I've been calling since Tuesday to try to get assistance. He aggressively said they never pick up their phone and was saying how busy they are. I called several time during opening and closing hours to get someone on the phone to assist me. From there, things escalated very quickly with him. After explaining the situation on Tuesday that the cold foam made my stomach upset and they never picked up their phone, I asked for a drink remake. He passively aggressively mumbled something rudely under his breath and remade my drink which was coffee and not matcha again, because I wanted something different. When I was telling him could I please get almond milk in it, he rudely walks away while I was still speaking to him. When he comes back with the drink remake, I was told it had oat milk in it. I was already irrritated enough with his daughter's attitude and poor customer service skills and now his terrible attitude and him being passive aggressive to me. He rudely tells me how obnoxious I am and refuses to make the drink correctly with the correct milk. I was so furious and upset for how poorly I was treated by the owner. He comes off as this friendly person but he is fake and nasty. When I was walking out, I decided to give him his drink back because I didn't want to drink their snobby coffee with the wrong milk because he walked away rudely when I was still speaking. I told them to keep their drink and that I would never come back and give them my business or recommend them to a friend. He passively aggressively told me to have a great day which he obviously didn't mean and he kept jabbing at me when I was walking out saying he will have a great day. Some bratty teenagers, since his business draws the attention of CHS students who are customers and employees said you are the GOAT Ian and don't worry about her. He stupidly said thank you to the idiotic young teenage adult and was laughing. Oh and if you come here this place is packed with all the entitled CHS kids and they are loud. Calabasas Coffee House is snobby, over hyped, the owner Ian and the daughter duo are arrogant and rude, and the customer service is atrocious. When I left, I was appalled by how horrendous my experience was all over a drink remake. I don't care if you have good coffee and matcha, that doesn't give you a right to treat a customer so poorly and treat them like they are less than you because you think you're the sh!t. Also who gets this aggressive and cheap over an $8.00 drink. If you are in Calabasas, go to La La Land they are much nicer and have better coffee and matcha! Give them their business and not this arrogant passive aggressive rude entitled owner, entitled daughter, and employees the business and your money. It's is a shame because I am a local and I enjoyed getting my coffee and matcha here a handful of times since they opened. I never hand any problems or issues until now. My friend had coffee from here catered at her birthday over the weekend, and it was SO good I had to come back this morning for more. Thankfully, it's only an 8-minute walk from work. The café itself is beautiful--inside and out. I was also welcomed by a friendly man! I ordered the Japanese Brown Sugar Latte with sweet cream, and honestly...it might be the BEST latte in Calabasas.
