Had a low/flat tire on a rental car that Budget blew off. On a semi emergency basis, I called Broadway to see if they could help. I explained my situation and they told me to come in and they would fit me in. After arriving, I waited less than 30 minutes and was on the road again. They charged me a nominal fee. As an out of towner in an emergency situation, they could have charged me almost anything and I would have had to pay it. I could not have been more pleased with their response and service. Was travelling though the area when I ran over a curb and blew out a tire. I called a bunch of national brand folks, who quoted me as if I needed to replace all four tires and they could only do it the next day. When I drove to Broadway Auto (on the spare), they measured the tread on the other tires and said I'd be fine with just one new tire, which they were able to get their hands on in less than two hours. This place - its owner and mechanics will make you believe in high-quality honest work again. I was on vacation and my car had temperature issues - I went to a mechanic shop first, they told me to have it towed to a Jeep dealership as they didn't know what was wrong. ***I then was passing by Broadway Auto and stopped in without an appt. Within two minutes of conversation - without even looking at the car - he diagnosed it. An hour later it was repaired. It was an air bubble in the radiator. He said to have the water pump changed when I got home. The owner is so knowledgeable about cars and how they behave - it's unbelievable. He didn't even charge me for draining the radiator. My mechanic at home agreed with Broadway Autos assessment and changed the water pump I have gone back since and always excellent, fast work at fair and cheaper prices than anyone I have worked with. read more

I had another local shop mount and balance new tires for my Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep shook badly especially around 60mph. I decided that I didn't want the other shop working on it again, so I had Broadway rebalance the tires. Now it's shake free and Cadillac smooth. From start to finish they were responsive, professional, and honest. This was my second visit to Broadway Auto. The owner Marlon was highly recommended to me by my boyfriend who is a real car guy. The first time was for a differential repair that he did beautifully at a low cost. Very easy to deal with thorough and professional.He showed me the old rusted out parts. Leak resolved perfectly. So when one of my tires was leaking air, or slow leak, Cy (the car guy)suggested I just stop by. I called 1st and they were very accommodating even during COVID19 , would not be able look at it in a few hours but when they did, fixed it there on the spot for very little money it was a minor leak. And despite being very busy they were able to check my check engine light. No problems and reset the light to clear it. Marlon and his whole staff are just amazing. I was in town for a meeting and my radiator crapped out. Scared I would be unable to get home I asked a few people where to get it fixed and multiple recommended Broadway Auto. I drove over at 7:30am and waited for them to open. They were clearly jammed with projects but as soon as they opened, I can't recall the owners (and chief mechanics) name but he was attentive and listened to me and despite having other customers pour in, phones start to ring etc.. told me to park it in front and he'd have a look. Well, he did, saw the problem, ordered a part that arrived in hours, fixed my rig and sent me in my way all for a more than fair price. I have been here twice. First time was on my bicycle, my handlebars were loose and I was cruising by and took the chance to see if anyone could help me out. Marlin tightened up my handlebars and sent me on my way. So sweet! Then, the other morning I heard something dragging on the front end of my car. Took the car to a Broadway Auto just before opening at 8 and Marlin took my car right in, tightened up whatever it was and sent me on my way. Great guy!! One of the very best auto mechanic shops in the area. If your car isn't broken, they won't do a 'fix' and also won't charge for checking it out!!! Got a slow leak in a tire while on a overnight stop in Mystic. I stopped in hoping they might be able to help. Did they help! The young man who greeting me quickly checked for a leak, found a four inch screw in my tire, pulled it, repaired it and had us back on the road within 10 minutes!!! To say the price was reasonable is an understatement. I gave twice what he asked, because of the fast, friendly service. This is the small town auto repair shop at its best. After complaining about my car not being safe, I brought it in to get checked out. I told them to fix the cars wobbling and make it fully safe for my son to drive. After I got the car back the problem was still there, but even worse. The mechanic charged us 300$ to say he fixed the wrong problem and we would have to send it back to get more money spent on the problem. To add to this the head mechanic was very rude to my son and didn't even apologize for messing up. Turns out he even admitted to spending less time on the car because he was "busy" with other work. Please do yourself a favor and do not go to this mechanic. Either they were scamming me or half assed the job. Regardless, Awful customer service. Terribly unsatisfied. DO NOT GO HERE FOR WORK. read more
