This place worth the hype. Recently open indian chaat place at santa clara indulged in a variety of mouthwatering chaat that's brusting with sweet, spicy and tangy flavours. Loved the ambiance and decent service. Definitely worth trying.

Heard rave reviews about this place, but ended up quite disappointed. The food was below expectations, and while the service was decent, it wasn't anything remarkable. The ambiance is casual and simple. The desserts were definitely the highlight, and I'm adding an extra star just for them. If you're specifically looking for a pure vegetarian-friendly restaurant, this place may work for you. However, the food itself felt quite basic. For example, the dal makhani tasted more like maa ki dal than a rich, creamy makhani. The misal was overly oily for my liking, and green peas were used instead of moong sprouts. I'd also suggest avoiding Kala khatta or chai as drinks were meh..

Great food and service. Got the pani puri and aloo tiki chaat. The chaat was delicious and very flavorful. And for entree got the kofta curry with naan. The kofta was good just wished I said to make it spicy. Over all great experience would definitely go back.

Appreciate the service and the efforts by the staff to make the experience enjoyable. The entrance door area gets crowded in peak times. Restaurant should consider reservations and/or Yelp waitlist mechanism. Enjoyed the chat especially the KP Chaat Platter especially Crispy Corn Basket and Paneer Tikka Mastani. Chocolate drizzle on Shahi Tukda felt odd and made it too sweet.

First time we returned because it was crowded and they won't even take a waiting list. This time we went in early and got a chat platter, which has 4 items, dahi vada, sev puri, corn basket, bhel. Both the restaurants and dishes were great to look but the taste is not the same. All dishes were too sweet nothing else. Kailash Parbhat in India are great, but this is no were close, other than looks. Grocery store chats are better tasting than this. Ambiance and service were ok.

Excellent chaat appetizers and chole bhature. Havent tried indochinese but options available. Great staff Have some buffer to wait , as there's long wait list during peak times. No reservations, first come first serve.

I visited Kailash Parbat Kailash Parbat in Santa Clara and had a really disappointing experience, mostly due to poor crowd management and inconsistent food quality. On Friday, there was a long line and they stopped taking any more names on the waitlist. I came back the next day (Saturday) at 6:30 pm, added my name, and didn't get seated until 7:50 pm - that's an unreasonably long wait even after checking in early. There's also no proper waiting area, and it gets so crowded that it's hard to even enter the restaurant. They don't seem to care how long customers are waiting. Restaurants like Mylapore Mylapore manage crowds much better and at least offer small gestures (water/buttermilk/ice cream depending on the season) to make long waits feel less painful. Even after I got the "table ready" alert, when I went to the host stand they asked me to wait another 10 minutes because the table still needed cleaning. Seating is very poorly arranged - tables are moved around constantly to merge/split, and it's so tight that people walking by feel like they're leaning over your table just to squeeze out. On top of that, the tables themselves are very small even for 2 people, and definitely cramped for 4, which makes the whole experience feel even more uncomfortable. During dinner I had to move my table and chairs twice just to let others pass. Worst part: they gave us dirty plates at the start. For a newly opened location, this is unacceptable. I had to ask for replacements immediately. Food quality was also inconsistent compared to their Dublin location. The Dabeli was under-stuffed and they didn't offer the usual sauces - I had to ask, and they acted unsure ("which sauce?"). That lack of consistency between branches shows. I also ordered Paneer Lababdar (a regular order for me from the Dublin location) and it was not good here - too much garam masala, harsh on the throat, and the curry didn't have the smooth/rich taste it normally does. Even the buttermilk lacked quality. To be fair: a couple of other items we ordered were well-cooked and tasted good, and the staff was polite, smiled, and handled the issues I raised properly. Overall, this location really needs to improve: * waitlist process + crowd management (even using Yelp waitlist/check-in would help) * seating layout/space management * basic cleanliness (plates!) * consistency of food and service compared to other branches Right now, the hype/new-location rush doesn't match the experience.

Kailash Parbat is a chain restaurant hailing from India, and its new Santa Clara location is already drawing crowds with its North Indian vegetarian menu of chaats, tandoori specialties, curries, and more. Chaat is Indian street food, and the KP Chaat Platter came with a sampling of four chaats including Dahi Wada (lentil fritters in creamy yogurt), Bhel Puri (puffed rice, potatoes, onion, sev, mango, and chutneys), Sev Puri (fried flour discs topped with sev, onion, tomato, and mango), and Crispy Corn Basket (fried flour baskets topped with sweetcorn, pomegranate, chopped onion, and tomato). The chaats were crispy, crunchy, soft, sweet, tangy, savory, and spicy--an incredibly colorful collection of explosive flavors and textures! For our main dish, the Paneer Tikka Lababdar was a tomato and onion curry with cubes of tandoor paneer tikka, topped with grated cheese. The creamy, chunky, spicy curry was perfect for eating with a side of Laccha Paratha, a crispy, flaky flatbread layered with butter. But my favorite dish of all was their house special Chole Bhature, a dark, spiced chickpea curry served with two huge, puffy, fried breads. Overall, the reasonably priced food here was deliciously spiced and beautifully presented, and the modern setting and attentive service rounded out the experience!

Fast service and flavors that genuinely taste like India. This is one of those spots where the food hits the table quickly and still feels fresh and authentic. Starters are the real stars here. The paneer tikka classic is always a hit with kids, and the street-food lineup is solid -- Mumbai sandwich, dabeli, pani puri, and the chaat platter are all worth ordering for the table. Mains don't disappoint either. We enjoyed the Diwani handi, paneer lababdar, and paneer makhanwala with hot rotis and naan -- rich, comforting, and very North-Indian style. And save room for dessert because they're all must-tries. Special shout-out to the kulfi falooda and gulab jamun with rabdi -- not super sweet, indulgent, and perfect ending. Great spot when you're craving proper Indian chaat and comforting veg curries. Will keep coming back!!

We went here on a Thursday evening with a 1 year old. There were 15 ppl ahead of us and they told us waiting would be around 30 to 40 minutes. We took our chance and waited as it was the second time I had tried to go there We got in within 20 minutes or so. We ordered paneer techa, gobi manchurian and soya chaap. None of these dishes were maharashtrian. May be that's why they were not that good. Later chef was roaming around and we told him we didn't like gobi manchurian. He offered to correct it and give one more. We said no and asked for mumbai sandwich instead. That was pretty good. Paneer techa was very garlicky for our taste.

Honestly not sure why this place has average reviews because we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! The wait time was a lot and people who got there after us got seated before us which was annoying. But once seated, we order and got our food promptly. Everything we got was incredible! I especially liked the indochinese that we got, specifically the schezwan fried rice. Honorable mention to the naan because it was super fresh and fluffy!! Definitely would recommend if you don't mind the longer wait times.

Has to be my new favorite spot in Bay Area for an Indian restaurant that has a good variety Chaat- checked Chinese - checked Punjabi - checked Mumbai street snacks - checked Things we tried Manchow soup - very good but spicy like Indian spicy spicy Dabeli - one order comes with 2 (was decent, better than most places around) Veg chilli milli - was fantastic, gravy felt like straight from India Tandoori roti and butter naan - both were thin, crispy and tasty We wanted to have the brownie with ice cream but it was unavailable, well next time for sure! I have had chaat at their other branch in Dublin and that was good, will have to try in this location next time before recommending it. Ambience is also good, modern seating (at one point the table for two has a very awkward curved couch - which is not ideal). Plenty of natural light in the noon. Plates and serve ware match the aesthetic. Nit- they can do better at cleaning the tables, glasses and utensils in between, one of our glasses had something in it - likely an oversight. Everything else was pretty clean. Staff was amazing - warm and always checked on us. Prompt to take orders and prompt to get food to the table. All in all a great dinning experience with delicious food. Definitely deserves to be on regular rotation.

We were excited to see Kailash Parbat open near us, so we stopped by for lunch. Even though it was busy, we were seated quickly. The atmosphere was great and the service was good, but the food was a bit underwhelming compared to their Dublin location. What we tried: - Veg Manchurian (Dry) 5/5: crispy and had great flavor. - Fried Rice 3/5: It was okay, but felt a little too oily. - Paneer Tikka Lababdar 3/5: the gravy was more tomato-heavy than we usually like. - Butter roti 4/5

It's clean inside and plenty of natural lighting. Since we were one of two parties inside, the service was quick. I ordered the chicken tikka wrap, as I was feeling something handheld. The chicken tikka was perfectly seasoned, with a good kick of spiciness. I will say, the oil did seep through the naan wrap, so it was definitely a bit messy to eat. But the flavor was so good that it was worth it. AND, the wrap was only $14. In this economy? The prices were really reasonable. Everything was just wonderful, and the food alone gets a solid five stars from me. The staff, unfortunately, looked inexperienced and standoffish. We came in at an off-peak time. The place was nearly empty, so it was not like they had their hands full. As we were going through the meal, not a single dirty plate was taken away from our table. When we finished dessert, all the used dishes from the appetizer and main course were still on the table. That was so odd. It was rather hard to get the attention of the servers. At one point, a server who had brought our dishes before was standing in the back of the room and looking straight at me. I tried to summon him first by making eye contact, then by a meek hand wave, but he redirected his look a little away from me and just continued standing there. We live very close by and will likely come back for takeout, but not for dine-in.

For a Saturday morning, the energy was calm -- a good sign for a small spot that could easily get overwhelmed. The waitress set the tone early. Warm, unhurried, she asked how we had heard about the place before taking the order -- the kind of question a restaurant only asks when it is still building its crowd and actually wants to know the answer. Filter coffee arrived without delay, hot, no shortcuts. The upma and mini tiffin combo followed. Portions were generous and the food arrived warm. But dish after dish played it safe right up to the edge of forgettable. The upma had correct texture with none of the assertiveness that makes a good upma worth finishing slowly. The sambar leaned thin. The chutneys were there, present and accounted for, doing the minimum. Everything assembled correctly, nothing bold enough to make you look up from the table. Meenakshi Bhavan gets enough right on a weekend morning to be worth knowing about -- clean space, genuinely warm service, honest portions. The waitress clearly takes pride in the hospitality side of things. The kitchen needs to match that energy with a firmer hand on the seasoning. Good enough for a familiar weekend breakfast. Not yet good enough to become a habit. The paintings on the walls that were Indian and Tamilnadu related was great, but the other art work seemed out of place, not sure what the thought process there was with the management. Things where this could improve: Coffee taste can improve (may be sourcing from a different coffee vendor may help, seemed like a standard Narassu's powder from a grocery shop near by that probably was at least a few months old) Chutneys need a certain kick and that was definitely missing. Cleanliness can be improved for sure.

This was the description: "Chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, lamb curry, naan, rice, raita, dessert, and salad typically compose this non-vegetarian thali for two" $27.50. Special instructions field was not operable as we woukd have asjed for mild and we were ok with the spice. it was between mild and medium. We both had a warmth over out beings and reached fir the raita to cool our mouths. My dining partner didn't eat much and got a really bad stomach ache. I didn't have a stomach ache bc I did not have any of the items in this Thali set. With my dining partner getting a bad stomachache, missing one of the proteins in the order and the minimal dessert of one when it's described as a set for two people. My partner shouted a strong zero. 0/5 Since I thought the combo above would be enough, I ordered garlic naan, it also came into half circles. Naan was thick and very dry. It reminded me of Greek pita bread but with scorches from a clay oven or skillet. Im used to get getting a green and reddish dip sauce but not from this restaurant. A la carte garlic naan iis $ 4.50 person naan. 2/5 In addition I ordered mushroom matter/mutter @ $14.50. This was very different than others I've had. At other pl all, whole mushrooms. But in this container, it barely had any and the mushrooms were sliced thinly and swimming in masala sauce. It was more saucy than it's contents. I felt like perhaps it was the end of the night and they were running low on mushrooms and peas. It was more a 1/5 . Needless to say, I would not recommend this establishment based on this experience.

First off, the delivery was a smooth process, dot on time and packaged with such precision. Ankush, who runs the show at Delhicacies came to do the honors and as well left detailed instruction on how to go about preparing one of the starter dishes that we had ordered (Bhalle Papdi chaat that is). The menu we chose included Bhalle Paapdi Chaat, Cocktail Samosas, Paneer Tikka Masala, Chana Masala, Baingan Bharta, accompanied by Roomali Roti and Lacchay Pyaaz as a side salad. The Bhalle Paapdi Chaat was an instant crowd-pleaser, with the perfect balance of crispy papdi, fresh bhalle, cool sweet yogurt, tangy tamarind along with green sauces, a secret masala powder and a garnish of beetroot , pomegranate and cilantro. All of these were packed separately and instructions were provided (step by step) to prepare the end result which tasted out of the world good. It was refreshing yet packed with flavors that kept everyone asking for seconds. The Cocktail Samosas were golden, crisp, and filled with a spiced potato mixture that made them an ideal finger food--perfectly bite-sized and not greasy at all. For the main course, the Paneer Tikka Masala (PTM) stole the show with its rich, velvety sauce that coated the tender paneer in just the right amount of spice. The flavors were balanced yet bold, making it a standout dish. The earthy flavor in the paneer made it finger licking good and definitely was the biggest hit of the evening. The Chana Masala had the perfect texture--soft chickpeas simmered in a well-spiced gravy that had just the right amount of heat and tang. Cubes of paneer in there definitely made it a good overall combination and complemented with the PTM. The smoky and flavorful Baingan Bharta added an earthy depth to the meal as well. The eggplant was roasted beautifully, bringing out its natural flavors, which paired wonderfully with the Romali Roti. The roti was soft, thin, and warm, making it the ideal vehicle to soak up the gravies. We did end up heating the rotis in our microwave oven for about 10-15 seconds in batches and they remained perfect in their texture and taste. The Lacchay Pyaaz--freshly sliced onions with a sprinkle of masala--added a crunchy, refreshing bite to balance the richness of the other dishes. Overall, Delhicacies delivered an out of the world authentic North Indian culinary experience with each dish tasting as though it was prepared with care and precision. The food was flavorful, perfectly spiced, and served fresh. Our guests were impressed, and we couldn't have been happier with the quality of food and service of delivery. If you're looking for reliable and delicious Indian catering, Delhicacies should be at the top of your list! Give them a chance and thank me later. You are welcome!!!
