You wouldn't think it based on the auto strip it's on, but it's a great way to spend an hour or so waiting for your car to be fixed. I've been to other "Asian" massage places in WC that were obviously some other operation than just helpful massage, so it was refreshing to find a clean, quiet place that ACTUALLY does Chinese massage for therapeutic purposes. It's much larger on the inside than it looks from the street. Because I'm so stiff and have years of bad pent-up muscle that needs to be broken down, massage is never an entirely joyful event for me, not matter who or what kind -- I always hurt no matter what. But it's a much needed pain for better health. I did a 30 minute massage focusing on the head, neck, shoulders, and it was quite good and felt like it was more than 30 min. The masseur was very nice and professional, and very Chinese in the sense of being no-nonsense and all about therapy and traditional Chinese massage--which is what I prefer. He was also very responsive if my stiffness was slightly uncomfortable to his otherwise very good pressure, strokes, etc. Highly recommended. read more

Worst massage I've ever had. My friend and I both couldn't believe how rough they were but we still decided to leave a 10 dollar tip each and both ladies told us a 10 dollars were too little. I'm usually skeptical when I don't get my massage from a high end spa but after this recent experience I would probably book here first when I'm in need of self care. The owner is welcoming and super friendly!! The place is inviting to anyone who wants to unwind, super cozy. I had one of the best massages with Michael. I usually like deep pressure massages and most places will focus on one area and then it starts to deflate but my recent experience at Broadway Spa made me want to bring this guy home!! lol!! I was looking to schedule a massage on my birthday for my wife and me; I sent out a request using Yelp's Project feature, which included details of my request, which was for a 90mins couples massage, and I received a response back from this business. The person was kind over messages, stated $140 for my Project request, and even offered a discount for my birthday. Turns out, my wife already made an appointment elsewhere. Elsewhere was Massage Envy in Clayton and that whole experience was terrible, and I had to cut it short. Don't ever consider Massage Envy when looking for a massage. We left ME and ended up booking with this place because of the offer given by the owner over Yelp. The parking situation is pretty inconvenient; they are in the middle of remodeling, construction was going on with construction workers all over, and there were no clear signs directing patrons to the business from the parking lot. Once inside, we were warmly welcomed, I mentioned the communication I had going on with the business over Yelp, and we were directed into our rooms. The inside is very nice and clean, everything is new or being remodeled, very impressive, especially with electronic fireplaces in every room. As for the massage, it was AMAZING! I requested a deep tissue massage, and my therapist delivered that and some more! Unfortunately, once we were done and feeling great and relaxed from our massages, they did not honor the price their owner/staff quoted me, which was the reason we ended up here in the first place! Apparently, I was given a quote for a 60min massage, not 90, even though the details of my Yelp Project was for 90mins. This place already overcharges for their services compared to other massage parlors in the area. I find it to be poor customer service to not honor the price that was given even if their own staff made a mistake. Had they honored the quoted price, this would've been a 5-star experience. I believe I will return next time, but they will now have to bend over backwards to make up for the poor customer service they provided. read more

Went for a last minute massage before bed with my spouse on 8/31. I am usually the type of person who if I don't like the massage i never say anything and just put up with it. Within 5 minutes of starting the massage the masseuse was so rough and was acting like she didn't want to be doing the massage. She started off the massage by taking off my makeup. Which I've never experienced before. She used lotion to spread all my face makeup all over my face neck and upper back. I told her not to touch my eyes and she then smears my right eye with the lotion and pulls off my eyelashes then holds them up and starts laughing out loud and talking to the other masseuse who was working on my husband. I was blown away by how rude she was being and how she only focused on messing up my face. It gets worse. She then roughly moves my head from side to side to give the laziest attempt at a massage. I asked her for softer as she was still being so rough. The last straw was she then pulled a pillow from underneath my head and had my neck fall into the head crevice with no support, she then throws the same pillow on my chest/stomach. NEVER would a professional masseuse THROW a pillow at you. That was the last i was going to put up with. I immediately told her to stop and we left. The other masseuse was very kind and offered to work on me instead but i was so upset and angry, there was no way i was going to continue. I needed to leave. This was the first time I've ever had to say something as i am very non confrontational. I was so uncomfortable throughout this experience i was almost on the verge of tears. The front desk manager was so kind and immediately apologized profusely as i explained what happened. She offered support and tried to mask the situation better. I just don't think i will come back here after such a horrible experience. read more

He can sense where you need more massage and while he puts more pressure, he's still gentle. I had been at Pinky's Pizza with my husband and a group of friends to watch football. I'm not a huge sports fan, and noticed a massage spa across the courtyard and went over there. The lady at the front counter said she did have a masseuse available. She said it was $75 per hour, that was more than I was planning on spending , but I decided to try it. The masseuse (sorry don't remember her name) I had went to work with a minimum of talking, but it was clear that she knew her stuff and really provided a very good massage. It was firm without being "Ouchy". I found the place clean and with a relaxing atmosphere. I was totally ok with the price since the massage was really good. On the way out the front counter lady told me they have a special and if you buy 10 one hour gift cards, or get 10 massages you get a 1 hour session free. I think that might be a gift idea and I get a treat too ! I forgot to ask if I can combo that to 5 cards and 5 actual massages to get my freebie. This is where the old Olympic spa was, but Broadway Spa is new and the rooms are completely remodeled. The rooms are very nice, clean and well appointed. I was given a choice of a male or female massage therapist. I had a very pleasant female therapist, but with limited English. The restroom did not seem to be well-maintained. Unfortunately, my massage experience was not satisfactory - the therapist struggled to apply the right amount of pressure and seemed to be disorganized, leaving the room multiple times during the session. I did not receive any additional time to compensate for her absences, but I was not too bothered as the overall experience was subpar.
