I have come to this Sunoco for many years now, they were always so nice. Today I went in for an inspection sticker and spoke with the mechanic who is always so nice and helpful, he took my car back right away. when it was time to pay the brother who handles the payments was rude starting with "inspections are cash only" I was ready to tell him I could go get cash but he told me just to use my card. so I do so, as I go to take my AE card out he starts saying "oh now your using american Express and I have to pay 5% on something I'm not even using" so I simple said okay ill use a different card. and he continues to say shit to me and I apologized again telling him I'll remember its cash for next year and he said "yeah until next year comes and you forget again" now this whole time I have my 2 YEAR OLD with me. 20+ years myself and my family have come here and have also suggested them to other people. i understand people have bad days, but to yell at a women who not only helped you multiple times (held the door for him while he was carrying cases in) but in front of my 2 year old at that. I feel bad leaving this review because the brothers who are the mechanics are amazing and so nice, the brother who handles the payment WAS always so nice to me and my kids until today. read more

Only been here a couple of times just to get a Redbull. They have the Redbull cooler on the counter. Last time i went was a few weeks ago. They have clothing donation bins on both sides of the lot. A bus stop is next to it. Its a chill area. Across from the park. Cashier dude is polite. read more

I had to come here for inspection sticker, only to find out I didn't pass because of a small fix with my windshield washer fluid pump. Both Elias and Abe were extremely helpful and accommodating; they made sure I left with a proper inspection sticker along with repairing my car no questions asked. On top of the super helpful repair, they also replaced my brake lights! They did all of us in the middle of the workday, I had no appointment and gave him no warning I was even coming. When I think of gas station mechanics, experience leads me to think of someone who gives very low first estimates that quickly balloon into hundreds of extra dollars. Sadly, Broadway Sunoco has done little to change my mind. Originally quoted $200 for an emissions computer replacement part, two days later that price jumped to $800 including several replacement parts that I did not request. Then, they went ahead and ordered the parts without my OK. Finally, they locked my car in a garage so I couldn't take it somewhere else. They only let me take my car after a public shouting match in the parking lot. This is not a place to take your car for inspection or repair. This is a place to get gas and get out...quickly...before they lock your car up and hold it for ransom. read more

The long con. We have been going to these guys for nearly 5 years. Our first visits were just fine. They produced work orders and invoices with the itemized parts and labor. My father-in-law (out of state) is a mechanic and so he legitimized their business for us cause the prices and issues seemed appropriate. Plus they were incredibly friendly, although a bit rough around the edges. Well eventually, as our trust with them grew, the paper work started disappearing. Instead we would get handwritten invoices without part numbers or prices. The only numbers that would appear on the invoices was the total price. Now, I thought we could trust them. They would always take me in to look at the car and show me what was happening. Most of the time it seemed legit. Despite the "trust" I couldn't nag a certain feeling that we might be getting played. Well, their plan fell apart a few months ago when they said that I needed a whole new rack and pinion. The power steering was loud and fluid was bubbling out of the reservoir. Anyway, they showed me that the rack was damaged because fluid was coming out of the boots. started keeping invoices because things seemed pretty fishy. I looked back at earlier work orders and my suspicions were confirmed: they had put in a rack and pinion not even two years previous. When I confronted "Joe" with this he became incredibly defensive and would not produce the part number for this shitty steering rack. Couldn't get out if there soon enough and will never be back. Don't trust anyone who won't give you legitimate paper work all the time! It's a bad feeling to know you've been played like this. read more

There is a reason everyone gives this repair shop 5 stars: because they're the best. The owners, Elias and Abe are super nice, really accommodating and have the best deals I've ever found. They're shop is small, but I've never had a problem with getting my car fixed quickly. They have given me a perfect time frame every time and has never missed it. I had my brake pads replaced as well as a radiator belt and Abe did it at 2/3 the price of other shops I've gotten estimates from. Not only was it cheaper, he also told me when I brought my estimate from another place that I didn't need three of things they said I needed. I like to think of myself as pretty mechanical, but turns out he was right. The job had to take over three days (car broke down on Friday, they had to order my part that arrived on Monday). Abe, without hesitation, gave me a loaner car to use that same day, it was a true testament to their dedication of customer service. Monday, after he replaced the pad and belt, my car has been running without problems for the last 5 months when I was assured that the screeching wouldn't stop until they fixed the other parts. Honesty is hard to come by with auto mechanics, but Abe and Elias have my trust. read more

Went there to get my wife's car fixed for a check engine light. $1400 later the damn engine light is still on. Complete rip off artists! I'd recommend avoiding like the plague. Took the car to ABJ Auto Repair who informed me all I needed was a new valve ($70)!! These folks deserve 0 stars, but yelp is too lenient. read more

I put this up last year, but it got deleted! Sunoco are THIEVES and CROOKS!! They do work you did not ask for and then charge your for it. MOST OF IT IS NOT NECESSARY!! They are lying scumbags and I would trust them with anything (not even qualitifed to pump my gas!) They charged me over $700 and did work a never asked them to do (car was stalling and Service light was on). $700 later and the car still stalled and the light still came on. I took it back a couple days later and they charged me again to put it on the diagnostic computer (cause you didn't read it right). He then replaced some random part and guess what...STILL STALLED AND LIGHT WAS STILL ON!) They also try to intimidate you when you argue, cause there was a few workers there! Cowards!! They sould be out of business for all the complaints I have heardd about them! AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!! They are nothing but THIEVES!!!! read more

We have been taking our cars to Elias and his team at Broadway Sunoco for almost 20 years and they have always been extremely reliable and reputable. Over the years they have performed repairs on four different models of car. They are honest and hard-working mechanics, and they go the extra mile, especially if you take the time to learn their names. My wife once bought gas and discovered that she didn't have her wallet and they just waved her off and told her to come back whenever she wanted with the money. How often does that happen these days? I really can't imagine why some people had bad experiences with them because they have always done a great job for us -- at a fair price. If something is very specialized we might take it to a dealer, but for all the regular stuff that cars need -- including brakes, exhaust, tires, ignition systems -- these guys are great. read more

I have been going here for a year. All of the mechanics are super friendly and they always give my pup some lovin when she is in the backseat, bonus points! I usually just get gas here, but occasionally they fill up my tires (for free). I've gotten an inspection sticker and replaced tires on another car and happy with both timing and price. I find it hard to believe that some of the negative reviews on this site relate to the same service station which I have trusted for well over a decade. Abe, Elias, Frank, and their co-workers have serviced my cars, as well as my wife's and my father-in-law's cars for many years and have provided excellent and fair prices. DON'T TRUST THEIR GAS!! I went here for a first time, I drive a Lincoln Aviator. After I bough premium gas there, my car engine started failing, to the point of almost shutting off. I brought to the mechanic and mentioned that after I put gas there my car started doing that, the mechanic mentioned that about 5 people came to him with the same problem after getting gas at same gas station.. Bad experience getting an inspection here. They gave me a Rejection stating that my front driver's side tire was worn out. Offered to replace it for $109 but I told them I would check on my warranty with Goodyear. Went back one week later with the new tire installed by Goodyear, person told me that had not mentioned which specific tire was unsafe and said that other tires were too bald. Rejected again. All of my tires were purchased 2 or 3 years ago and they didn't seem very worn. He argued with me that he never mentioned one specific tire, which is not true. Probably a scam to get some business but he knew I wouldn't splurge for all 4 tires on the spot so he just tried to get one sale. I recommend avoiding this place for inspections - there are other places nearby to go. read more
