Behind the old (now gone) Pizza Hut on Sheridan and Hiatus- there's this small Italian place that has a solid good and bountiful serving style ! It doesn't have a big sign out- you have to know it's there ... and a lot of people do! We got there and looked at the drink menu, sadly only wine and beer. They have a good wine selection, don't get me wrong, I was in a cocktail mood, so do your cocktails at home and get your wine here! We had a bruschetta appetizer that was tasty (but simple). Then the trays of food that were our entrees appeared. Oh dear. There was enough food here for 3 ! Per order! The food was bountiful, warm, good, it just lacked (imho) that quality that makes it remarkable. All in all a nice evening out at an Italian place. I ordered from here after hearing about their 2 dinners for $25. There's also the 4 dinner for $45 if you're ordering for the whole family. Let me just say, they certainly give you your money's worth with the portions and quality of food here. It's such a delightful place that is conveniently nearby. My order consisted of one entrée of the Chicken Parmesan and the Chicken Francese. Each with a caesar salad and coming with a baguette. We added the tiramisu as a dessert for an additional $2.25. The portion of the caesar salad was generous and a nice appetizer. Both chicken entrees were incredibly rich with flavor and the sauces on both were absolutely amazing. I was impressed with how soft the chicken in these meals were. The first thing noticed about the bread was how great it smelled and how insanely soft the bread was. It was a great staple with my meal. I'm not one to go for dessert after Italian food as I always find myself too stuffed to eat any more food. However, in this case I decided to make an exception and I was happy that I did. Their tiramisu really was a spectacular end to my meal. It was rich and sweet in flavor. Time and time again this place proves just how amazing small businesses can truly be. The widespread choices of food they have are truly magical and it's always so hard for me to choose what I want to eat, however I am plain when it comes to this place and get the exact same thing all the time because of how amazing the entree I get always is. Currently they have a deal going on and unfortunately I can't remember the price but it is spectacular for the amount of food you are getting. You got an appetizer and an entree. You have your choice of appetizer between a bone broth soup and a couple other choices as well as a Caesar salad. I always go for the bone broth soup because the broth that they make is out of this world. I always need to prevent myself from inhaling the soup in less than 30 seconds because of the flavor in it. Seriously it's like they managed to pick every amazing flavor in the world, combined it and put it in here. For my actual Entre I always go with the chicken parm which comes with a heaping bed of angel hair pasta. Let me just say that I never knew chickens could grow to the size that these chicken parms are! It's spectacular the amount of food you get and you will definitely have seconds and maybe even thirds from a meal. They bread the chicken perfectly and they cook it to the ideal temperature. The sauce that they use is wonderful as well and put every Italian place other than this but shame when it comes to their marinara sauce in my opinion. Broccolini has such tasty food. It is a Hidden Gem in the Embassy Lakes Shopping Center. I ordered takeout and the portions are huge. We had chicken parmesan and penne alla vodka with chicken. We also had a house salad and some sort of beef tortellini in beef broth. The salad was very fresh and delicious. I ordered ranch dressing with it and it was a bit sweet but tasted really good on the salad. The beef broth soup was different. I tried it and liked it a lot. My friend enjoyed it very much. I had the chicken parmesan and it was outstanding. They gave just the right amount of sauce on the spaghetti and the chicken was very fresh and also organic. My friend enjoyed the Penne a la Vodka. Included were two loaves of bread with four very generous servings of high-quality parmesan cheese. Funny enough I came home and realized that I had forgotten to ask for parmesan cheese. They think of everything here. Food was ready on time and the restaurant is taking cleanliness very seriously. I will come back here and I had enough food for dinner the next day. If you read any of my previous reviews, you'll notice I LOVEE chicken Parmesan lol. Every time I travel to a new place I have to seek out the best chicken parm in the area. This by far was apart of my top two! The side salad is a nice size and could actually be its own meal, with an added protein. But the Chicken parm was delicious. I Love Broccolini...on the whole the food is really good. I will say that the Marsala sauce needs a complete re-think. I got it tonight and it was really sweet...like almost Chinese food sauce sweet. Turns out they use a red wine for their sauce...and it lacked cream which is my preference for a Marsala. Unfortunately it made the pasta almost inedible which I tried to fix with some heavy parmigiana. I'll give them a 4 because it really is one of the best restaurants around...but the Marsala was a solid 2. The waiter did offer to change it as she could tell I wasn't in love but I figured it was on me as I didn't ask more about the sauce when I ordered...so didn't feel like it was right to have the restaurant take the hit. read more

The only reason for a star deduction was the slowness of food delivery. This is not the place to have lunch if you need to get back to work. Food is prepared when you order it so it's super fresh, but takes TIME. The other diners were retirees so they were in no rush. The prices are very affordable. They have wine for $4/glass! We arrived before noon on a Wednesday for lunch. We did not receive our entrees until after 1 PM. We did the three course lunch for $15. Our soup/salad came out in a timely manner, but we had to wait an hour for our entrees. We took a few delicious bites and had it boxed to go. We also took the dessert to go. It was 1:45 PM when we left the restaurant. They bring you warm Italian bread served with olive oil and herbs. I had the pasta fagioli soup and lasagna. The soup is meat free and full of white beans. It was flavorful, but salty. The lasagna was AMAZING. They give you a huge slice. It had about 10 layers and stood very tall on my plate. It has bechemal sauce to make it creamy and rich. The bread pudding is served with a delicious caramel sauce. My friend had the cannolli. The place has great ambiance. It can get loud. There is plenty of parking. "Would I bring my Sicilian grandmother here?" That is the question I ask myself to determine the yumminess factor of Italian restaurants. Yesterday, I found a resounding "Yes!" at Brocollini Cafe. First let me say, my grandmother in her broken English with some Italian curses and a lot of hand gestures thrown in for good measures, would have told me, "The name makes no sense....How good can it be with such an Americanized name?" Do not be fooled by the name or the virtually empty shopping plaza on the NE corner of Sheridan and Hiatus, Broccolini is the real deal. Immediately after picking any table in the 4pm Tuesday empty house, my new friend Maritza brought me delightful bread reminiscent of the weekly baking days of my childhood. It was delivered with a fragrant herbal olive oil blend and a generous portion of grated parm. Omgosh, go for the bread alone, y'all, seriously so perfect! Steaming hot, soft but crusty, delish with all the accoutrements, but absolutely divine on its own. Just simply the taste of quality ingredients and a whisper of salt to make it pop, exactly as grandma made back in the day. Next I ordered the meatball app as in my family the "meat-a-balls and gravy" are the true test. Wow, just wow! These tasty treats were soft and flavorful. Not hard, pre-fried or baked before being put in the sauce, but dropped in raw right after being rolled just like grandma's and the sauce was pure genius, garden fresh and expertly seasoned without being overwhelming. Now, if I'm 100% honest, grandma would have considered the ricotta on the side an epic waste, as it is reserved for lasagna and baked ziti only, and she would have said they needed more garlic and parm in the meat blend, but she would have truly enjoyed them and devoured them just like I did nonetheless. Next on my menu was the Rollata, a creamy, magical, cannaloni style meat mixture of sausage, beef and veal with fresh mushrooms rolled in pasta and smothered upright in a pink cream sauce then topped in shredded parm. Maritza asked me if I wanted the early bird or dinner portion. I ordered the dinner portion. Beware, Brocollini does not scrimp, y'all, the portions are large. While grandma never would have ordered such a gourmet display, she and I would have wiped this out so I didn't need a take home box. Absolutely scrumptious! Finally my completely non-traditional dessert because grandma had a sweet tooth and it runs in my genes, the bunet is described as a chocolate, almond custard with a layer of biscotti in a rich caramel sauce. It was good but not the highlight of the meal. The dessert menu is quite extensive. Next visit I will try something else. All in all, grandma would have loved this meal and I look forward to round two at Broccolini coming soon....Mangia and enjoy, y'all! read more

This review is a tough one to write. We chose this quaint little place because we had heard good things about the food. However, the service left a lot to be desired. But once we got the food, it was excellent! We were seated over an hour before getting our food, and had to beg for refills on the water. We saw numerous food delivery drivers coming and being told the food was behind, and walking out in frustration. The service was so bad that I asked the hostess if they were shorthanded that night and she said "no, why?" So the service notwithstanding, the food itself was delicious. I had the veal chop with cheese sauce and my wife had the branzino filet, and both were flavorful, tender and cooked perfectly. We may or may not go back, but I don't want to discourage anyone based on one bad night's experience. Support local businesses! read more

I didn't get her name, but she was around just the right amount never overbearing but always there when we needed something. The food was delicious and great portions for the price point! So I've eaten inside before but this time I ordered for pick up. The food here has always been excellent, I've never had an issue with the food, the staff has always been super friendly. So ordering out, pretty simple, you order pay online. Now, I don't know if I ordered during a busy time or it's like this all the time but it took 80 mins for the order to be ready. So, if you do order for pick up, keep that in mind and plan accordingly. After 80 mins, drove over, called in, food came out super hot. Inside, it's on the smaller side for a restaurant and you're gonna want to make a reservation because it does get busy and with Covid there's not as many spaces available as there was before. All the food is really good, if you like Italian food, this is a go to restaurant. Portions are huge, and it's not that expensive. I had not seen them for 18 months because of covid. I am not from South Florida so I am still sketchy about eating inside. The portions are humongous and I would recommend ordering for family style. For the table. The menu is extensive. Looks like they have a price fix menu that also is paired with an excellent wine list. Wow. I hate writing this. I have had many great experiences here but something changed and the food was the worst Italian food Ive ever had. We ordered for pickup. The lasagna tasted like it was in catsup. And the the other dish was terrible too. We took a few bites and threw the food out. Their wedding soup was the only thing that was edible. It was decent. My wife and I have been going to Broccolini for several years and the food is consistently delicious. The portions are large and the desserts (limoncello cake and Krispy Kreme bread pudding) are to die for!! I've had almost everything on their menu and they are all amazing. It's a small and intimate place for a date or special event. If you need a place out west (Cooper City) this is definitely a hidden gem!! This is a small restaurant in a shopping plaza, but not do they pack a punch. It was already busy, but we got lucky and they had a table available for us on a Friday night without a reservation. Service was a bit slow at first, but due to every table in the restaurant being occupied, the wait was justified. We started out with a few appetizers the caprese, meatballs and riccota, some sausage broccoli dish which was so good, and a small Caesar salad. Highly recommend the sausage broccoli dish. I wasn't feeling to adventurous so I ordered a fettuccini Alfredo with blackened chicken. It was a solid dish and the blackened chicken gave it a decent favor. Our other guest got the seafood pasta dishes the frutti di mare and something else I can't spell or pronounce. They said it was flavorful and delicious. 3 1/2 stars. Broccolini Cafe is a small Italian restaurant in Cooper City. Cute, homey atmosphere, although I thought all the fake hanging plants are a bit cheesy. I met my husband and boys there and found delicious bread and olive oil in the table. The regular menu had a large variety of items from which to choose. Plus there were plenty of specials. Items we ordered included: Burrata with a Prosciutto-I though the Prosciutto was a bit grainy. Caesar Salads & Garden Salad-both were nothing special. Bronzino-Husband enjoyed his dish. I tasted it but did not really like it. Flounder stuffed with Crabmeat-not bad, huge portion, really liked the little pasta purses the dish came with. Pasta with Meatballs Seafood Risotto-13 year old hated it. Said it was like "rice in water". One that no I did not like about Broccolini was the long wait for our food. I know the food is supposed to be made fresh to order but I really expect quicker service at a neighborhood Italian place. Most of the young women, including our server seemed aloof. Our server was not enthusiastic at all about giving menu recommendations. I do recommend reservations as Broccolini is small and can get very busy. I would return but there are definitely other Italian places in the neighborhood I prefer. read more

All I can say is "WOW!", the food is great. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable.... for great food ! Reading some of the reviews, some people complain about the time for your food to arrive. IT HAS TO BE COOKED AND PREPARED. I would love to have the opportunity to be seated with loved ones and spend time with them between courses. I can only imagine that those complaining need to find better and more enjoyable dining companions. As I said, I would love and look forward to being seated and having time to enjoy one another's company in a pleasant environment. If you want fast food, and quick in and out service, there are those restaurants who serve microwaved fast food... however, if you want a comfortable and pleasant environment, and really great authentic food... then Broccolini's is the place in Cooper City to frequent. read more

We ordered the prix fixe menu and it took about 2 hours for everything to come out. While the wait was a little long, the food was well worth the wait! Everything is made to order and you can tell it is quality food. The bruschetta tasted so good with fresh tomatoes and onions. The meatball and ricotta came in a very flavorful marinara sauce- we highly recommend it. The penne vodka was SO creamy and good and the sundried tomatoes added some sweetness to the dish. For dessert, we recommend the bread pudding- its made with krispy kreme donuts awmahgawd. Portions are HUGE. The prix fixe portion is smaller than the regular entree but you can definitely still split it. The restaurant itself is small and popular. I guess I have some really really bad luck after all the reviews and a couple past recommendations from friends. I called at 6:30pm today to make a reservation and the gentleman that answered was very nice and was able to make it for my party of three for 7:45pm. When we arrived at 7:45pm, the reservation apparently wasn't written down but the waitress/hostess reluctantly said okay and sat us. We were sitting for 10 minutes and finally were served water. We were then finally seen by the waitress at 8pm and ordered as we already had 15 minutes to study the menu. It was a simple order: Fettuccini with grilled chicken for myself, eggplant parmesan for my son, and a calamari for my daughter, and 2 sodas. The 2 sodas took 10 minutes to come out. We were waiting and waiting. We barely saw our waitress. We started getting concerned at 8:30 as we were still not served. The couple times the waitress walked by, there was no acknowledgment of the long wait time. I'm a pretty patient guy and understanding. If the waitress or even a manager (no sign of a manager there at all tonight) were to give us a little "we are a little backed up, just bear with us" I would have said no problem. A couple that were seated at 8:15 got their food before us! We were finally served at 9:02pm! I then immediately asked for to-go containers and the check, as I did not want to have another waiting session just for those items. Food was pretty good, but our appetites were spoiled by being upset having to wait so long. Still no apology nor acknowledgment nor smile from the waitress or any staff member there after an hour and 15 minute wait; just a weird quiet dry vibe. I am an excellent tipper, am respectful of the service industry and servers, and I usually tip 20-25% in cash on the taxed total amount even for "okay" service. Tonight was probably the lowest tip I have ever given in my life. I should've gone with my instinct and left when it was 15 minutes just to have the waitress see us, and no sign of any manager on duty. Pains me and ticks me off to write this bad review. I can't give high enough praise to the food at Broccolini's. Everything is delicious. Tonight I was there and had the stuffed flounder with pasta and my husband had the chicken parmigiana. The flounder was tender and cooked perfectly, and my husband loved his parmigiana as well. The portion sizes are quite substantial and there is always enough for at least 2-3 meals. Everything I have had there is delicious, and fresh, from the fish dishes to the vegetarian lasagna and everything in between. The ambiance is very cozy and romantic if you want that. We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday there in July and they allowed us to bring a cake and helped serve. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. The only thing I must mention is this is more of a dining experience, as everything is prepared individually to order, so the wait to be served can be over an hour.....but it is totally worth it! read more

Did someone say GNOCCHI Went with my family last night to Broccollini Cafe in Cooper City and it was delicious! Meatballs were like my gramas, sauce was also good. Mussels were big but my daughter said she's had better. If anyone has had Mussels in a creamy white sauce somewhere please let me know there's a restaurant in Cancun that does this and it's amazing... I guess nothing will compare lol. The gnocchi was light and the sauce was spectacular, the lobster ravioli tasted like it was homemade, the filling fresh and the amount of clams on the Linguine Vongole was impressive. The portions are huge but we had to try the bread pudding and it didn't disappoint. The ambiance of the place is cute and quaint. The prices are great for what you get. I have frequented Broccolini's for over two decades and consistently raved over their Fixed Price meals. Unfortunately, January 21, 2025 was the last time I will ever set foot in there. While everything seemed business as usual with same cozy atmosphere and friendly hosts, I noticed several new faces to include a man in a chef's jacket who turned out to be the owner whom I have never seen in 20 plus years. Things went downhill from the beginning with a $4 increase for the Fixed Price dinner which I have no problem with, but it gets progressively worse. The bread brought out seemed stale or poor quality and the same was used for the bruschetta. While my Meatball and Ricotta appetizer was great as usual, the pasta for both entrees was overcooked and gummy with the Rollata having an abundance of cheese on it that coagulated quickly and was supposed to be a pink sauce. The wine was cheap and the owner refused to allow a substitution of bread pudding (with an upcharge) for dessert. He told me "That Math doesn't work in the kitchen". I have always been able to make to that substitution and the online menu still has that option. The Tiramisu given us in no way resembled Tiramisu and if that was the same Tiramisu they charge $8 for on their menu it is a rip off. I am sure this once great restaurant is headed downhill. HOLY CANNOLI! (not pictured lol) the food at this place was incredible! Authentic Italian! The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside but don't let that fool you. The decor and elegance is great! Our waitress was great! Attentive but not overbearing. The ambiance is so great for date night or a family celebration. The entrees took a little long but they were soooo worth the wait!! I had the lobster ravioli that came with plump shrimps on top. Huge portions. It was so delicious! And the cannoli for desert? This is my family's go to place. Everything is made fresh to order! There fish specials are always my go to's always a lot of food, more then I can eat in one setting. Which is nice cause I always have lunch for the next day. Their homemade gorgonzola salad dressing dress is my all time favorite! Linguine with clams is fantastic! There gnocchi is so light and fluffy. You don't feel guilty eating the entire plate. It's a very small quaint place. Service is good, but it is slow due to them cooking everything fresh. I was very impressed with the menu & reviews. The variety of dishes where so good, gluten-free pasta available for my daughter. Options where definitely favorable for my family. My main course was the Frutii De Mari Clams, Mussels, Shrimp, Clam's. We had Eggplant Rolitini, Fried Calamari, & meatball's with fresh ricotta as appetizer's. From the beginning it was incredible. Nice fresh bread. Our waitress's was very attentive. Great wine, very tasty went well with our meals. The night was flawless. Dessert choices incredible.
