I was excited to try this place due to the reviews, but I feel pretty let down. My family and I came on a Friday night, and we got there early enough that we didn't have to wait and were seated right away. Our server was pleasant, but once we had our food, he kind of disappeared. He took an especially long time when we were waiting for the check. As for the food, the best part of the meal was the bread. It was warm and delicious and our food runner/bus boy even gave us a fresh loaf to take home. My kids ordered plain pasta, which was fine ($7 each so not too bad). I had the chicken francese with pasta with marinara sauce. The francese sauce was too eggy and not nearly lemony enough. The marinara sauce was really more chunks of tomatoes than actual sauce. I will say the portion size was large. My husband ordered the salmon special with vegetables. The salmon was fine, but the veggies were hard and not at all seasoned. Overall, our experience was okay, but there are so many local Italian restaurants that I wouldn't come back to this one. read more

One of my family's go-to spots in Broward so I was excited to finally try it, but unfortunately did not have a good experience. For one, they were out of chicken parm (7pm on a Sunday?????) so I had to eat the chicken boca which was not really anything to rave about as it seemed to lack a lot of flavor. Portion sizes are huge though for a very decent price. I may consider giving them another try because I do really want to try that chicken parm. read more

Vignetos never disappoints. Ambiance, staff and the clean Italian taste that melts in your mouth. Our waiter Pablo, friendly, efficient and very polite. We drove from coconut creek so we made the most of it. Appetizer, salad, entree and dessert. The desserts pistachio cheesecake and cream Brulé was heavenly. Seriously the best Italian spot in Plantation / Davie area by far! They used to have a location in Weston and it still never compared to this location. They do not accept reservations so always arrive early with the intent to wait. Their staff is always welcoming and ready to make your experience amazing. This Italian restaurant does not take reservations and is extremely busy on the weekends. Our only hope to get a six seater table was to arrive at 530pm and we were happily seated immediately. By 6pm every seat was occupied and the bar was hopping. They do have an excellent array of wines but I'm not a wine guy so I had an ice cold domestic beer to complement my delicious Angelos Salad (walnuts, carrots, onions, tomatoes, gorgonzola, parmigian and balsamic). The complimentary hot bread was excellent doused in olive oil. My entree was a butterflied filet mignon with a market price of $64.00 with a side of penne pasta. FYI: There waiter provided a warning that the steaks are intentionally undercooked, so I chose Med+. The wife ordered Chicken Francese which was two bloated breasts with a lemon butter wine sauce for $24.00. The gender assigned modern bathroom was clean with gray tile flooring and red accented walls. Loved the antibacterial soap dispensor. read more

We were a party of six and had a wonderful dinner on a Wednesday night. The temperature was a little cool outside and it being a Wednesday we thought the place would be empty. Nothing could've been further from the truth as due to the quality of food and the fantastic service the place was packed. Came here for dinner from Boca on a recommendation from a friend who said this is the best restaurant in town. There was a long wait even in the summer. Nice ambiance and the restaurant very full. Very good service and a lot of team members bringing the food out. Warm bread served. Ordered salads, stack egg plant, meatballs, chicken parmigiana and rigatoni bolognese. Very large portions and all very good. Chicken parmigiana can feed 2-3 people so great for sharing. They are known for their steaks but next time. The steaks were $79. Most of the Italian entrees were in the $25 range so very reasonable which is why people stand in line. read more

We went to a birthday party with 16 other people and I was surprised how well it was handled. Everyone got exactly the food they ordered and everything was hot. The restaurant is on the larger side so I guess the kitchen does know what they are doing I had eggplant Parmesan since I do not get to eat that very often. My only complaint was it was over sauced. The tomato sauce had a tang that was a little too strong the eggplant itself was plentiful but was overwhelmed by the sauce. When I want Italian I would absolutely go back to my usual place instead of here. read more

We were actually visiting a restaurant in the same plaza & we were not attended to so we walk out & decided to try this place out. Best decision ever!! It's my all time favorite Italian restaurant ! Go hungry because the portion is a lot & delicious !! This year for my birthday I decided this was the place I wanted to have dinner. Both visits the staff have been very nice & very attentive making sure your glass of water is never empty, they asked if we needed another drink? They asked how was our meal? If we needed anything else. Never a moment you wondering where did the waiter or waitress go. The restaurant is very spacious with plenty of tables & it feels as if you are at a restaurant in Italy. We make a point to go here any time we're visiting town. The vesuvio is a MUST. My husband orders that just for his meal! The dishes can be a bit on the saucy side in appearance, but the sauce that's there is out of this world. Save some bread (or ask for more!) to dip in your meal. Also, pro-tip: for a small upcharge you can get the rigatoni bolognese in place of the spaghetti side that comes with the meal, and their bolognese is some of the best I've ever had. Service is always attentive and paced well. The drinks are stiff and tasty. It's a nice date night atmosphere. Definitely recommend. read more

Came here on Halloween! Heard a lot about this place (specifically about the steak) and decided it was time to give it a try. It was definitely more casual than we were expecting (even more so when you add up the bill) but overall experience was nice. None of the specials had prices provided so we had a bit of shock when the scallop appetizer came out to $40, however, they were fantastically seared with a very crisp edge and incredibly tender center (would not order again due to price though). For entrees we got the chicken vodka Parmesan which was a huge portion and the NY strip with a side of gnocchi-- server at least did let us know this was extra but did not explain how much. Finished with a lovely tiramisu (ladyfingers weren't too soaked nor too crispy). Overall, delicious meal but be sure to ask for pricing. read more

Vignetos is in the Shops at One Plantation and mostly blocked by the McDonalds. The front of the restaurant is simple with only the name. The inside a dimly lit with a large wine rack in the center. The chicken Francese was large and perfectly cooked. I took some of it home for lunch tomorrow. The waiter was good and the table bread was wonderful dipped in olive oil. read more

This has become one of my favorite Italian restaurants. Every time I visit my friends in plantation Florida. First of all vibrant scene always Pack crowds outside that can only be one thing, especially in that area great Italian food. There's always awake so you have to come in and just put your name on the list. There is no reservations. But they worked very hard to get you into a table. In the meantime you can hang out by the bar. The bar is awesome. They have first come first serve table tops great vibrant scene at the bar. They got a couple of nice TVs. They always have great games going on but Billy people are there talking eating low ambient lighting and it's very busy and very packed. The bartenders do a great job of taking care of where that comes in to get drinks. A lot of people have drinks outside sitting outside waiting on the chairs and talking to everybody, but you can always sit at the bar and enjoy your drink. Very fair prices for a restaurant of this category and the food is spectacular. I had the book of chicken one of my favorites excellent Marcella sauce with melted cheese while the chicken was perfect great pasta al dente. My wife ordered the Milsa with the arugula and the prosciutto and the Parmesan cheese on top. Wow it was really good perfectly perfectly fried excellent very tender. We also ordered a soup stretcher Telle and a chicken franchise that was amazing. Of course I'm after dinner drinks some espresso and a cannoli finish tonight with perfection. This is my favorite place. I love it and definitely will return. read more

I had the pleasure of returning to this longtime favorite dining establishment this past Thursday evening with my family after far too long of a hiatus. We've stayed away mostly because they don't take reservations, and it's usually packed when we try to visit. On this particular evening, however, we were seated right away and warmly greeted by our friendly server, Santini. He kindly offered to bring us some freshly baked bread, but we passed in an effort to avoid carb overload. That said, it's refreshing to see a restaurant still offering complimentary bread service--something you don't see as often these days. Santini took our orders and made excellent recommendations. For my salmon, he suggested it be prepared piccata style, which wouldn't have been my first choice, but I'm so glad I followed his advice--it was absolutely delicious. My daughter also took his recommendation and ordered their most popular steak entrée, the 16 oz. prime New York Strip. She thoroughly enjoyed it, as did my husband, who sampled a bite. However, we all experienced a bit of sticker shock when we saw the bill--the market price for the steak was a whopping $70. Lesson learned: ask before ordering! My husband opted for the Chilean Sea Bass special, which he enjoyed thoroughly. The vegetables served alongside our dishes (we skipped the pasta) were fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. It's reassuring to see that the quality, ambiance, and service of this beloved local restaurant have stood the test of time. We'll definitely be back--hopefully sooner rather than later! read more

I have been to their other location so I was ecstatic to find out this location right down the road from where I live! I recently came here and everything about this place was wonderful. We did have to wait a little bit but the hostess took our number and told us we would get a call when the table was ready. About fifteen minutes later we got a call and were seated. The place is dimly lit so bring glasses if you need and the tables are spaced out very nicely. Sitting in a booth, the cushions were padded well and I was relieved to not have to worry about getting a sore bottom while I ate. I opted for the chicken parmigiana for my entree and it was wonderful and huge! I had leftovers for two days! The chicken had an amazing coating, being light as well. The coating gave it a nice little crunch and the chicken was insanely juicy. I loved how much cheese was on top and it blended well with the chicken to give it a great flavor. The sauce on top was seasoned nice as well and helped round out the parmigiana in my opinion. The pasta was also good and it was insane how much was served with the meal! The staff is very friendly and our water was very attentive, bringing over bread very quickly when we sat and making sure our waters never went below half a glass! It is a little pricey but very justifiable due to the amount of food you get! Come hungry! read more

I am so heartbroken by the Vignetos experience, I've eaten here several times because of the flavor and hospitality, I decided to order takeout with someone who I referred here. The person answering the phone was very frank and rude, she had no interest in actually servicing my order. When I go to pick up, disregarding the treatment over the phone I walk in met with NO GREETING and "I say hello i made a call".. before i could finish she used her finger to point me to the back and completely disregarded me. I get home with the food and the Penne Sole Mio is dry and lacking flavor. The fettuccini carbonara is all dairy with a side of noodles. And then they provide fresh wonderfully baked bread with NO BUTTER? Also no utensils in the bag? Weston location would never! As a family orientated establishment I am disappointed. read more

Came here last week for a date night with my daughter. I LOVE this place. The staff is friendly and their recommendations are spot on. The scallop appetizer was amazing. They were seared to perfection and oh, so flavorful! One of the things I really enjoy is that they offer smaller portions of their pasta.
