We heard good things about this place. Food was pretty good, but we ordered a bottle of wine and a fly flew into our glass. They threw out nearly a third of the bottle and did not bother to provide another glass or give us anything in return. For the price there are much better options in this area of the keys. read more

New steak restaurant on Cudjoe key. Had a great dinner and overall dining experience. Service was beyond good. Our Steaks and everything else were cooked to perfection . They only serve beer and wine but the wine selection was good as well. They don't take reservations so if it's busy you might have to wait. They had an outdoor seating area as well. I can't understand how this restaurant is receiving good reviews. It has some good elements such as pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff and tastey vegetables, but as far as the overpriced gristley beef goes it turns the entire dinning experience into one that makes you wishing you were at Burger King. How the owners can serve this poor quality beef at those sky high prices, I don't know. Everyone in our dinner party agreed the beef was not even close to good. Do yourself a favor and go some where else. read more

A pleasant surprise outside of the touristy downtown Key West district. Family owned, owner greets each table during meal and follows up on your experience. Tri-tip app was tender and tasty with the Bernaise sauce. Chopped salad had a very unique presentation, as well as a great, fresh flavor. Bacon wrap scallops in Mango chutney had a multitude of blended flavors. Everything went well together. My wife had the swordfish and thoroughly enjoyed it. We capped the evening off with the homemade carrot cake, moist, not to sugary and full of flavor. Great wine and beer selection, however no mixed drinks available. With the attention of the staff, upscale ambiance and excellent meal, definitely a place to go for a special evening out. read more

What a gem! I did not expect to find this level of dining in the Keys. It is a small, friendly establishment, around mile marker 21. They specialize in steak and seafood. The four of us had four different selections, and we all raved. The seafood linguine was excellent and quite filling. The shrimp dish was good, but a bit over cooked. The steaks, wrapped in bacon, were amazing. The salads and sides were also very good. We topped it off with a chocolate creme brûlée. The wine list was also excellent and reasonably priced. This is a small place with indoor and outdoor dining. No reservations accepted. We will be back again! read more

Wow. Really blown away by our experience at Broil. Unassuming from the outside, but when you walk through the doors you're transported into an elegant island steakhouse. It lives up to it's name -and surpasses it. From the time we walked through the door we were treated like royalty, and this was during a busy dinner hour. The service was unlike any we've experienced in the Keys. They were pros; attentive, knowledgeable, caring. Truly five star service- CLOCHES and all. And the food was amazing. The menu was so enticing, it was hard to choose (but our waiter helped with that). Also have to note, as it's so rare now in high end restaurants, that entrees were served with a salad (a very beautiful one) and choice of a side. Their prices are more than fair (unlike Square Grouper who now charges $40 for plain old yellowtail. You'll find a yellowtail option here for less that's topped with lump crabmeat, by the way). This place just gives the people what they want. If you're a local or a tourist, you must try this place. All of the love for BROIL. read more
