Went with a group of 9 for breakfast and ordered the Breakfast Luxe Buffet. The food itself was decent, but the overall experience was disappointing. We were initially told the wait would be about 20 minutes, but it ended up being closer to an hour. During that time, we saw several smaller parties of 2 to5 get seated ahead of us, which was frustrating. Once seated, service continued to be slow. Food took a while to arrive, and one of the steaks was overcooked. The manager stopped by and offered to have it remade, but by the time the replacement was ready, we had already received our check and were preparing to leave. We had mentioned that if it took too long, we didn't want the replacement steak, yet it was still boxed up and we ended up being charged for it. Another issue was that dirty plates were left on our table for an extended period and were never cleared promptly. The buffet had a nice selection, including eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, bread, fruit, and made-to-order items, but the slow service and handling of the steak issue took away from the experience. I remember going here a while back, I remember how good the food was, how diverse the menu is, and how reasonable the prices were, so the Grand Lux Cafe in the Venetian Hotel was my suggestion for my moms 80th Birthday dinner!!! That is attached to the restaurant. They have wonderful pastries, danishes, and coffee and Matcha latte drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They're seating for about 6 to 8 people in this area at a bar top in the coffee shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The prices are decent however they are on the higher side. Every day that I came, although I ordered the same thing, it seemed to go up a dollar every day was weird. I started off ordering a cheese danish and a caramel macchiato one day it was $13. The next day it was $14. Them, by the end of my visit it was $17. It sort of bothered me because I've made sure that I always tipped the staff that was working here, oh well. If you have time to wait in line to be seated at the restaurant, definitely do it. We're staying at the Venetian Hotel and decided on trying out the Grand Lux Cafe for a late lunch. We started off with the fish tacos, omg these little tacos may be the best I've ever had lol. The anticipation for my quesadillas is overwhelming. I'm honestly blown away, so much flavor and extremely tasty. The only drawback is you must eat them quickly, letting them sit makes the tortilla very soggy but I'll be back tomor for the short ribs n chicken tacos just to compare, and eat quickly! The service was good too, our waiter was very nice and helpful on helping us choose what was the go-to. I love a good waffle and decided to give this place a try. It was pretty early by Vegas standards so there was no problem getting seated. Waffle perfection is surprisingly hard to find. They do have waffles available at the breakfast buffet but my server said they're mini waffles and not really the same, so went with a standard waffle and a side of bacon. I was served waffle nirvana. Light and crispy on the outside. Inside was the most perfect texture, soft, a nice chew, and overall a delightful flavor. It was paired with a butter-infused syrup that was absolutely wonderful. Sadly I wasn't too fond of the bacon. Of the four pieces, only two looked cooked decently enough. The other two were cooked but no crisp to them. Sad and floppy. Didn't care too much for the flavor, a little too artificial smokey. Service was excellent. My server was prompt, very friendly, and personable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is a little on the dark side. I am not sure if this is the ambiance they're going for but the decor paired with dim lighting makes the place seem very dated and depressing. 4.3.26 - after Illenium at the Sphere ended, we got hungry. We were hoping to grab something quick at the food court but it was closed so we grabbed a table here. It was about 12:45am. Others who came from the show had the same idea. The place was a bit busy. We were able to get seated, put in our order and received our food around 1:30am. Came back after almost two years, and it was absolutely worth it. They started us with warm sourdough bread and butter, simple but perfect. I ordered the fire‑grilled salmon with a Caesar salad and steamed broccoli, and everything tasted fresh and well‑seasoned. The breakfast buffet is delicious for if you want any basic breakfast foods but my favorite specialty entree would be the biscuits and gravy. (not pictured yet) The coffee here is much better than most spots i'd say definitely better than the star brand. We were seated pretty quickly in an area where we could see the casino and watch people walking by. The waitress was so patient and calm and nothing short of excellent service. We received a bread basket, our drinks and she took our order. The menu was a little overwhelming at first but I quickly realized that certain dishes were served during certain hours of the day. I've always referred to this as an upscale Cheesecake Factory. They have many of the same items, but also a few dishes that are different. Yeah, it's a chain restaurant in the Venetian Casino, but it's good and they have something for everyone. There's a reason it's crowded and has been here for years. There is typically a wait here but if you're lucky, you can snag a seat at the bar. The bartending staff was super busy making drinks on a Saturday afternoon, but not too busy where they didn't take care of us with drinks and orders. The meals were delicious with the Spicy Ginger Beef having a nice kick and had some super tender beef. The Thai Caramel chicken was also good, but a little on the sweet side, but that was expected with Caramel in the name. As always, no room for dessert and I didn't even look. The seating is right off the casino floor, so you are still part of the casino action meaning it's not quiet. The pizza was good. It was kind of thin crust, the crust had the perfect balance between crunch and chewy. I would go back for the pizza. This location of the Grand Lux Cafe is usually poppin' and busy when we walk by. The restaurant is huge with many tables and bar seating. The menu options are huge and range from many different cuisines. From breakfasts foods, burgers, soups, pasta, ribs etc they probably have it. We came by late night around 10pm so we were seated no problem. I was craving something different so i chose the Short Rib Pasta. Everything is priced much higher, but the portion sizes are the main reason why. Our server was kind, but unfortunately the one dish my wife wanted to try was not offered or sold out. No biggies she found another entree. Food took about 10 minutes to arrive but once it delivered I was floored on the plate and presentation. The short rib pasta was flavorsome. I could not stop eating that plate of pasta because each bite was so good! The saltiness of the short rib matched up to pasta. I cleaned that plate no problem. Lol.
