This is a great massage place, everyone is great and I've never had an issue going here for a while now.

This is one of those massage spots where you know the focus is only the massage -a building with rooms filled with beds, soft music, and dimmed lighting - no spa packages, no products or flavored water, just a peaceful space with a focus on getting your body right. I'm usually talkative during my massages but for this one, I was completely quiet. Maggie was really very good and intuitive, firmer whenever she felt knots and softer everywhere else. I'll be returning next time I visit NY bc this spot reminded me of my fave spot in Houston and has inspired me to see if I can find a similar one in COS. read more

I am so happy that I gave this location a second chance because I just had a really great experience here. 10 years ago my husband and I came here with a Groupon for massages. He had the best time and I had one that left much to be desired. His masseuse did the whole shebang and mine wore too many hats, stopping my massage to check out customers and answer phones. I had a decent massage in the end but the experience was not a good one. Fast forward to a couple days ago when I had the luck of an impromptu day off with a babysitter, and decided to take advantage and go for a hard morning run and then a massage. I made the appointment the day before after checking their reviews on Yelp. I used to visit the Elmsford location when we lived in Westchester but now that we're back in the Bx, the Yonkers loc is closer and the reviews looked promising so I decided to give them another shot. I will say that year ago when they became more established, they reached out to me to try them again, stating that they had improved but I was skeptical and happy with the alternative I found in their place so I never went back. I was happy to be able to make such a last minute appointment for an 11A massage. I woke up early and had a nice run, came home and showered and then head up to Yonkers. I got there early, around 1040A and parked in the free parking at the end of street (look for the Healthy Massage Parking signage). Ana was working up front and immediately took me in so I did not have to wait. I think I may have been their first customer of the day so I'm happy I got there early. I entered the room, disrobed and got on the table. Ana was my masseuse. I needed a 90-minute deep tissue massage. It has been a very long time since I received a massage and I'm so full of knots it always makes the masseuse comment on how tight I am and this visit was no different. She spent a lot of much-needed time on my back, shoulders and neck, where I carry all of my tension. She constantly asked if I was OK and whether the pressure was too much. I'm sure she was worried about hurting me because I groan and moan. I feel intense pressure but breathe through it because for me, personally, it is necessary to work out the knots in my muscles. Ana went above and beyond just as most masseuses I've had, who will use their entire body weight to work the knots out of my muscles. By the end, I was very loose and relaxed. I felt euphoria all day. I can not tell you the last time I felt that way after a massage. I walked to my car and sat, began to write an updated review (which erased), smiling the entire time. I returned home, ecstatic, raving about the massage I just had and how great I felt. Days later and I am still reaping the benefits, at least until my next run day. 30- and 60-minute massages are pretty much one dollar per minute but you get more bang for your buck at the 90+ minute packages. If you have the time, I would suggest getting at least a 60 minute or longer massage to benefit. Making an appointment was easy. I called near closing because it was a very last minute decision and they accommodated me with no issue. It's safe to say that I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Well...let me tell you about this AMAZBALLZ spot but, I am terrified that after I write this review, people are going to take all the appointments available and leave me with none. :( This establishment is INCREDIBLE. God bless the hands of the angels doing the massages! massages that literally bring you back from the dead. As a self love gift to myself, my sister and I decided to get a massage every pay check. This has literally changed my life. I cannot stress enough how important a massage is. They accept appointments or pop in to see if there is an open slot (I usually get lucky) A clean establishment with friendly, helpful staff, once lead to your massage room there is soft soothing instrumental music at a low level to help set the mood for relaxation. They ask how you prefer the massage (soft-med-hard) Listen every knot, any stress, any discomfort pain or anything that is bothering you and also that you aren't even aware is bothering you, The masseuses WILL get it!! 1 full hour for $55!!! cash or Credit accepted. My husband and I came in for a massage after being recommended. Our massages were great. I forgot to get our masseuse's names but they were awesome. We did a couple's massage for 60 minutes and paid $112 (fee for using card is $2). We tipped in cash. We had between medium and strong pressure and it was perfect. This is a great no frills massage place with great prices. 60 minute massage for $55 you can't beat. This place focuses on massages first and foremost without all the distracting elements of trickling water or chirping birds. The young lady that handled my massage really listen to my words and body to work the knots out of my back. The receptionist was really accommodating by offering a last minute massage 2 hours before they closed. I am so happy I was able to score this massage during the holiday weekend after a great beach day. If you are someone who wants to relax and to loosen all of the muscle tightness of your body, this is definitely the place. For $55, you can experience a full experience of different types of massage. My husband and I shared the same room - as soon as we lay down in the massage bed, our therapists came in; starting with the back, lower extremities then the head. There was a mix of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, Hot Stone and Reflexology. I prefer hard massage - but if you have a preference, you can tell them. There's a timer to indicate that the 1-hour has finished. Once the service has ended, you will need to pay in the front counter. Plus, there's free hot and cold water as refreshments. Anna gave a comprehensive, thorough, and healing deep tissue massage. Held tension released, lighter and more in alignment when leaving. She checked in with me periodically throughout the session to ensure both my level of comfort and relief were adequate and balanced. Ideal room temperature for the experience and room neat and clean. There was use of oil, large heated stones, warm dry towels and even warmer steamed towels. This will be my new go-to spot. Free parking lot. Horrible experience there. Kelley didn't want to work at all. She just caused me pain and didn't take out of my knots when I told her to. All she was poke in my back (literally pushed her pointer finger down) and never provided relief. Towards the end she was just petting my back like a hair brush. It was horrible and I don't want anyone to experience what I did with Kelley. I told the owner this and he didn't care. Also bathroom is gross and they never clean. Staff didn't wear masks. I will never come back here and don't recommend this place to anyone. You're better off rubbing your own back. read more

They asked us what pressure we wanted and responded promptly when I asked for less pressure on my neck. I enjoyed my massage here and it was affordable. The staff was nice, the place is clean (and looks brand new), and the massage was strong. I got the Swedish massage and it was stronger than the typical Swedish massage (they'll of course adjust based on your preference). They also incorporated some other non-Swedish massage things like a quick hot stone/ball massage (I've never got a hot stone massage, so not sure it's quite that, but it felt nice) and some stretching at the end. The one thing that would've made my massage better would be if the rooms were warmer. The AC was on (since I went in the summer), but it gets chilly when you don't have clothes on. Healthy Massage is your basic, bare bones, affordable massage place. And if that's what you're looking for, you'll like this place. In response to the previous reviewer, the massages I've gotten where the masseuse introduces themselves, gets to know your needs, and has the knowledge of specific muscles, etc. has only been at places where the massages cost double what Healthy Massage costs. read more

As someone who gets a lot of massages, I would highly recommend this place. It's very clean the people are very nice and the masseurs are very knowledgeable. They're very strong and give deep tissue massage. It's rare that I have to call uncle but I had to cave in a number of times. But I'm much better and feel much better after I leave! I went to school for massage therapy after this and I know all about the muscle soreness due to the release of lactic acid. HOWEVER the bruising is a sure sign that the therapist went too deep and I now KNOW her techniques were sloppy and irresponsible. Shame on You !!! I go to this facility once a month or more if I'm suffering with back pain. Today I went, not feeling well, short on cash. I paid the $55.00 that was due and didn't have a tip. I told the girl that does my messages I would make it up to her next time. The owner came out as I was half way to my car yelling that I didn't tip!!! There were people walking into the restaurant next store and she embarrassed me beyond words. How dare she !!! A tip is just that, it is what the customer chooses, it is not a requirement. I will never set foot back there and it's their loss because next weeks xmas bonus money would have paid for 4 gift certificates just like i have done every year prior. This place JUST opened so I am a bit confused about all of these old reviews unless they are from another location. I stop at the deli next door quite a bit and was delighted to see this place open. The wife and I booked a couples massage and headed in. The place was clean and we were ushered into a private room with side by side beds. I booked a Swedish and she a hot stone. Once the "massage" began we realized we had been duped. Our "therapists" had no clue what they were doing. No idea where to begin or end, no pulse points, pressure points, muscle kneading, zip. My wife kept asking where the hot stones were to the point of comedy and when they finally turned up they were utilized for a total of 2 minutes. I just HAD to learn which fine institution granted licenses to our "masseuses" so I made my way to the front where these lambskins are traditionally posted with pride. Nothing doing. When we left I gave them a modest tip and was told by the person in the front that they "normally get more tip." This was after we said the masseuses were not the greatest.
