SO many people have moved out because of terrible management. SO many people have quit or have been wrongfully fired because of terrible management. i would never want to work for someone with such little care for other people, staff AND residents. how selfish and disgusting. there ARE some staff who are amazing and go above and beyond for every resident but they can only do so much as an individual. so if ur family is there just hope the good ones are on shift today. i dont even know how to call state tbh but alyssa this is for u. all this and MORE happened under yours and tonys care and you guyes knew and didnt care. and yet ur still here and he isnt, how does that make sense?

They found ways to increase price. Made promises they never kept. Don't sent your parents in with any valuables. Kept calling widow , even after family requested multiple times to stop. Both my immediate family and my in-laws were in a situation where our loved ones were no longer safe in their respective homes. They just needed more care than what they were getting. We didn't k ow who to turn to or where to start looking for safe homes that could provide our loved ones what was needed. We got Kelley's contact information and on both instances in under a week both my grandmother and my mother in law were placed in safe homes where they were being properly cared for. They were safe and happy and that's all we could have asked for. Kelley is definitely someone to call if you're looking for help placing a loved ones!! Kelley with First Choice was the best choice our family could have made. Working with her was an absolute joy. She came to the hospital, spoke at length with my mom, addressed all of our concerns and gently explained the different types of care available. The options she presented were well thought out, explained in a kind and patient way, and made us feel confident in our decision to place mom at a board and care in Roseville. I'm happy to say she is thriving, and getting the proper nutrition and care she needs to recover. Thank you Kelley for finding the perfect spot for my mom and taking care of all the details. We are so grateful to have worked with you.

From the Director Joyce Perkins all the way to the maintenance and housekeepers, everyone one truly cares about the residents (at least this was our experience while mom was there). We visited the facility at least 3 times a week and at all hours of the day and night so we feel we had a good idea of what goes on there. We constantly participated in resident activities of which there were many. We even started a Kummikub group on Sunday afternoons which was a big hit with the residents and mom got to play the game she loved. It also helped residents keep their minds sharp. Kathleen, Activity Director is also a rockstar as is Paula and the other ladies that staff the front desk. Everyone keeps an eye on residents as if they were their own family members and communicated to us any issues they felt were important for us to know in our mom's senior living journey. When mom started having memory issues Joyce was there to help guide us and give us support in making the decision to move mom to a memory care facility. My husband and I both cried the day mom moved from Solstice as we felt we were leaving our family. I encourage anyone with a family member in ANY type of senior facility or memory care facility to visit your loved one (or have someone you trust visit them) at bare minimum once a week. It doesn't have to be a long visit - just show up!

He…read morerequired very little care, just a chill safe place to stay, give him his meds, oversee his hygiene, and feed him. The good stuff was really good. The icky stuff definitely needs attention. The place is clean, has no unpleasant aroma, the temperature is appropriate, noise level in the hallways was tolerable, staff I encountered were always pleasant and smiling. Let's start with the good stuff - the office admissions process was effortless. The staff coordinated with the VA to make all the paperwork sail. The at-bed admission process was professional for my dude, most probably because I was with him and he's mostly alert. Bad stuff side note: I observed the at-bed admission for his roommate a couple of days later and would not call it stellar. Example: the CNA and aide kept trying to tell a nonverbal patient with dementia that they needed to do a "skin assessment" while they were rapidly removing all his clothes. He was audibly frightened and resisting. "Skin assessment" means nothing to the non-medical person. When I suggested alternate wording to the charge nurse, my suggestion was not received pleasantly. I got that "don't tell us how to do our job" look. I mean, c'mon, wouldn't it make sense to tell someone, "We need to check your body from head to toe to make sure we pay attention to any weak spots." Back to good: Our particular crew, notably Cori the RN, was attentive and responsive and welcoming. Cori stepped up regularly to intercede with the kitchen staff to attempt suitable nutrition for my dude. Cori also intervened to maintain my dude's med schedule, even though it differed from the facility's preferred dispensing hours. Needs work: I provided the staff and charge nurses with detailed info about all the compromises my dude is dealing with, and they still blew a gasket when they observed readings outside their preferred norms. He and I held firm with facts and wishes. More fixes noted: On day 2 he suffered a fall (a direct consequence of fiddling with his diet and/or meds) and required medics and transport to the ED. I drove him back to the care center once the ED had treated his wounds and assessed his impact areas. Two days later when I visited him, his wounds had not been cared for according to the hospital discharge paperwork that I had hand delivered. For the remainder of his 10-day stay, he just stayed in bed to avoid "causing a fuss." He's *that* guy. Worst of all: The food - naw! Hard pass and no interest in improvement from our observations. Worse than the worst Denny's. Overcooked, hot not hot, cold not cold, and unique patient needs not addressed satisfactorily. Think about this: a patient arrives, is not urgently ill, knows he/she is on a "camp away" to give the caregiver a break and all semblance of home is gone. The least the facility could do is feed the patients better. It was easily day 4 or 5 before my darlin' had a breakfast he could eat. Ending on the positive: the patient-facing nursing staff was magnificent to my dude. He said the bed was comfy and that the setting seemed mostly peaceful. We'll pick a different center for the next respite stay.

We actually tried to place my mother inlaw here first but it was full. Most of the time there is a waiting list I get in. I absolutely loved this place & their caring staff & the director (Wilma). My mother inlaw would comment on how nice it was. They are kind and patient and treat their residents with respect and dignity. My mother inlaw would comment on how nice it was. It feels more like home & family than a care home. It houses a small group of residents. Staff cooks them breakfast in the mornings, make their snacks and treats. A lot of home baking. Lunch and dinner come from The Villa (one of their care homes near by). Residents can participate in the crafts they do or watch. They have a couple of Canaries the residence enjoy. There is TV in the open living space with recliners for them to enjoy. Some rooms are small (perfect size for twin bed) others are a little bigger. There are private and shared rooms. They like to encourage residents to be out and socializing. They have a lovely patio outside. The facility is nestled in a nice quiet neighborhood. My mother inlaw passed away here and staff and hospice we very kind and compassionate to the very end. I can't express how thankful we were to find this place. I could sleep at night knowing she was being well cared for.
